Now that the holidays are over I;m going to try and update weekly.

Also I didn't get the rights for Harry Potter for Christmas, but there's always next year.

Ch. 12

The feeling of a knife being stabbed into his arm brought Harry out of his unconscious state. He found himself tied to a large, ornate tombstone in the shape of the Grim Reaper. In front of him was a cauldron bubbling with a strange grey liquid. Hover over the cauldron was an all too familiar figure, Peter Pettigrew. Even though his ears were ringing from whatever spell he had been hit with, Harry was able to hear Peter mumbled something about Blood before slicing off his own hand causing it to fall into the cauldron. He then dumped a bundle of black robes into the cauldron. Sparks began to shoot out and the potion began to bubble over the side of the cauldron. Shortly after a skeletal figure rose from the cauldron.

"Pettigrew my wand" the figure said in a cold voice that sent shivers running down Harry's spine.

Lord Voldemort had returned.

Meanwhile at Hogwarts…

Albus Dumbledore sat overlooking the crowd that had gathered for the third task. After the maze had fallen, the champion should have been teleported back to the maze's entrance with the cup. However only two people were aware of what really happened, himself and the imposter posing as Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody.

Since the beginning of the year Albus was aware of the imposter. There were subtle things that most people who knew the real Moody wouldn't have noticed. Albus had known since the beginning of term that the imposter was likely keeping the real Moody alive somewhere in his quarters since Polyjuice potion won't work with dead bodies.

The timetable for Albus' plans involving harry needed to be moved up rather quickly. If Albus was correct, and he usually was, Harry would currently be facing a newly revived Voldemort. Unfortunately the Diggory boy appeared to have been taking to whatever location Harry was. Most likely he would've been killed since the death eaters only needed Harry. Harry would likely blame himself for Cedric's death and Dumbledore could use that to keep Harry dependent on Him and only him. However, there were three people that could possibly get in his way.

Harry's relationships with his betrothed would certainly be a threat to his plans. Harry had taken Lordship of the Potter family over the summer and was now considered an adult in the wizarding world. Legally, Harry could refuse to return to the Dursley's at the end of the end of the school year. Albus noticed that the expressions on the three girls' faces had changed from confusion to outright panic. Something was going on with Harry and those three but Albus couldn't put his thumb on it.

Lord Voldemort pressed his wand onto the dark mark on Peter's arm. Shortly after several figures apparated into the graveyard. All of them were wearing the black robes and skull masks of the Death Eaters.

"My friends." Voldemort addressed the newly assembled group. "I'm sorely disappointed that after fourteen years the only one of my loyal servants to help was Peter Pettigrew!" He said angrily. The few Death Eaters who tried to offer up an excuse were quickly rewarded with a cruciatus curse. Harry noticed that Voldemort started to show signs of exhaustion with each application of the Unforgivable.

"Ah young Harry." Voldemort turned his attention to Harry. "I had almost forgotten that you were here." As he approached the tombstone Harry tried to free himself but he couldn't get the ropes off.

"You see Harry thanks to that ritual, the precious blood protection your filthy mudblood mother gave won't work anymore. Now I can touch you." He proceeded to press one of his bony index fingers to the scar on Harry's forehead.

What happened next was unexpected. As Voldemort came into contact with him, Harry felt the magic inside his body swell up in protection. Voldemort was launched backwards and he felt pain worse than any cruciatus hit him.

"PETTIGREW! YOU FOOL!" he roared as he writhed in pain on the ground. Several of the Death Eaters came to help him. "Mark my words Potter we will meet again!" The last thing Harry saw before he passed out was Voldemort and his Death Eaters apparate away.

When Harry woke up again, he was no longer in the graveyard. He found himself in the hospital wing. He noticed that Ginny, Cho, and Daphne were sitting next to his bed. Ginny and Cho were both asleep and leaning on each other. Daphne had been asleep but when harry tried to get up Daphne was awoken.

"Lay back down Harry." Daphne ordered him.

"What happened?" Harry asked.

Daphne told him about what happened after he passed out. Apparently Cedric had gotten back to the graveyard after the Death Eaters had left and used the portkey to take them back to Hogwarts. The judges had decided that the task ended in a tie and that meant Harry had won the whole tournament. After Harry had been taken to the hospital wing, Daphne told him that Professor Moody pulled Cedric aside and that Moody ended up being an imposter and a Death Eater. Thankfully some of the professors had been able to help Cedric and released the actual Mad Eye Moody. The imposter had been Barty Crouch Jr. which explained why Crouch's name kept coming up on the Marauder's Map. Crouch had confirmed Voldemort's revival to Dumbledore, Fudge, and Madam Bones. Minister Fudge had tried to have Crouch given the Dementor's Kiss but Dumbledore and Bones had stopped him. Daphne also warned him that Dumbledore wanted to speak to him when he regained consciousness. Daphne Climbed onto the bed next to Harry and snuggled up next to Harry and both fell into a peaceful sleep.

Harry was released from the hospital wing the following morning with instructions to go straight to Dumbledore's office. The gargoyle moved to the side as Harry reached the top of the stairs.

"Good morning Mr. Potter, please have a seat." Dumbledore greeted him as he entered the room. "I'm sure you're eager to discuss the events of last night."

"Actually I want to know what's being done to stop Voldemort." Harry said.

"I'm afraid not much at the moment. Our esteemed Minister is convinced that the story of Voldemort's return is just that, a story." Dumbledore said. "However I've been in contact with several witches and wizards who stood against Voldemort during the first war."

"I want to help them" Harry said "I want to fight."

"That won't be necessary Harry." Dumbledore said. "The best thing you can do is to return to your relative's house this summer."

"But professor, Voldemort keeps coming after me." Harry said. "I should be fighting,"

"Harry." Dumbledore said in an attempt to calm him. "If you were to fight Voldemort now, you'd be wasting your parents sacrifice. At your relatives you'll be protected until you're ready to face tom. So once again I'm asking you to return to Privet Drive for the summer.

"Fine I can do that." Harry replied dismissively. He had to avoid flinching when three simultaneous shouts of "WHAT" came across the bond. "Are we done here?"

"Yes I suppose we are, you may go." Dumbledore said. As Harry left he looked at the door with uncertainty, Harry was slowly falling out of his grasp. If he didn't get Harry under his thumb soon the world, both muggle and magical would be at risk.

Harry made his way to the Great Hall where breakfast was still being served. Pansy, Tracey, and the girls were sitting at the Gryffindor table. Harry sat down between Daphne and Ginny, both of them didn't acknowledge his presence at the table.

"Uh did I do something wrong?" Harry asked over the bond.

"How could you agree to go back to those awful muggles Harry?" Daphne replied without looking at him.

"Well I said I'd go back to the Dursleys but I never said anything about staying there." Harry said. The girls all looked at him with a surprised look on their faces.

"Looks like some of Daphne's Slytherin is rubbing off on you." Cho said

"So that's what you two were up to last night." Ginny said with a smirk

"GINNY!" Harry and Daphne said together. The four of them decided to end the mental conversation and talked with the rest of their friends who were at the Gryffindor table. During their conversations, a large eagle owl flew down and landed in front of Daphne. Attached to the owl were two letters. Harry recognized one as being from Gringotts.

"Who are those from?" Harry asked.

"They're from Gringotts and my parents." Daphne said. "I wrote to Gringotts to see if they'd be able to update the wards at the manor and I also asked my parents to stay with us over the summer."

"Actually I have an idea for over the summer." Harry said. "If Dumbledore doesn't want us to help then we do things on our own."

"And how do we do that?" Cho asked.

"We'll restart the Order of the Dragon." Harry said.

Sorry for the short chapter.

So here's an eplanation of what happened in the graveyard. The Horcrux in harry's scar would've suppressed the blood protection that kept harry safe. So spirit Voldemort who was weaker would've been affected but a reborn Voldemort would've been too powerful for the protection. Since the Horcrux was destroyed several chapters ago, the blood protection was at full power.

Look for updates every Sunday from now on.
