NEW BODHUM 3 AF
After the fall of Eden, time passed slowly while things were getting back on its feet. There were even plans for some to move to Gran Pulse. Serah included.
After speaking to her about her sister, though puzzled, Trevor still had no qualms that if Lightning should return, Serah would be the first to make contact with. After so much has happened, he felt that he couldn't remain in Eden. Thus, he too decided to make that move to Gran Pulse - To a New Bodhum.
There, Trevor worked with what he knew best - medicine. He was part of the communal medical team, attending to military and civilian alike.
With people hanging out at Lebreau's cafe and a number of playful kids running around, things were calm and usual by the beach. Until one night, an unusual object broke into the sky's hemisphere, speeding its way and crashing into a place not far off the beach.
Investigation of course took place. With Snow away, Gadot was temporary in charge of most matters. Oddly enough, the strange object wasn't the only visitor at hand. Along with it came Noel Kreiss, a boy from the future, claiming to have seen Lightning and came for Serah.
Trevor had a conversation with her before they left. With all the talk about Valhalla, the historia crux, and the onslaught of monsters popping up more than ever, things were heading for a turn for the peaceful beach community.
"Serah," Trevor started. "This...Do you believe him?"
Noel stood at a distance from the shore, looking up at Cocoon.
With a look of hope and thoughtfulness, she looked from Noel to Trevor. Things had been unusual for her lately, she spoke of her dream of Lightning and what had been weighing on her mind since she lost her sister.
"I...I think," she said. "I'm going with him. I'm going to bring Lightning back!"
Trevor felt his heart trembling with sadness, yet part of him remained hopeful at the thought that Lightning could still be alive, out there somewhere.
"Then go," he said. "Bring her back to us, but be careful out there. Here, some medical kit you might find useful and some gil for traveling."
"I will," she nodded.
Days have passed ever since Serah left and Trevor was still counting the days deep in his heart. As he sat at a jetty that sprung from the beach, he watched the waves roll back and forth endlessly in the early evening. He wouldn't know how long it would take for Serah to return, nor would that meant that Lightning would reappear too. He knew he had to play the waiting game but for how long? Things were getting mundane for him at the clinic. He would look up sometimes whenever someone approached and hoped that it would be Serah with Lightning in tow.
He sighed as the breeze simmered and Lebreau stepped up beside him.
"Still counting I see." she said. "Let the days take care of themselves...like the waves that roll in and out, so we can take care of ourselves."
Trevor pressed his lips into a straight line.
Lebreau continued.
"Well, you should get up and get in! Dinner's ready!"
