Hey everyone! Sorry for the delayed post! I've been super busy lately and had to make some changes to this chapter before I posted it! Also, I am so happy with the reaction from the last chapter! I received more reviews than I anticipated and also gained more followers and favorites, so thank you to everyone for the support!
TheFlameTamer & Rose: don't worry, you two! This story has a ways to go yet so you'll definitely both get your Stiles fix very shortly!
Seetherrayne & give-me-love02: I'm glad you both are liking the Braiden (thank you seetherrayne, I like that name!) moments! I love them myself so I'm glad other people are appreciating them also!
MeiMew: glad you liked the scene with Allison! I felt it really needed to be addressed and I really wanted to add to their cousin connection! Also, to explain the sudden moments with Aiden: I tried to develop an attraction between them over time (sorry if I didn't do a good enough job with that!) but Brielle didn't want to acknowledge the attraction. The elevator scene was meant to ignite the attraction, but since Brielle is a decent human being, she felt bad about it because of Lydia and Stiles. After her revelations while talking to Allison, she realized she needs to do what she wants right now, and like Brielle said, she wants Aiden. Sorry if that was confusing to you, but that's what I was going for! If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me and I'll try to explain! (:

"Hey sexy," Aiden growled in my ear as he surprised me and grabbed me from behind. I squealed in his arms, pushing my body back against his tightly. I felt his teeth nip on my earlobe and giggled. "Can we not get inside first?" I asked him, turning my body around in the tight space to face him. He immediately placed a firm kiss against my lips. I played along for a second before lightly biting on his bottom lip. "Someone could see us, Aid," I whispered. He let out a displeased groan before suddenly lifting me off the ground and throwing me over his shoulder. I shrieked, praying to God I wouldn't fall, as he carried me into the apartment building and into the elevator.
"Better?" he asked. I smirked and shook my head at him as I slowly backed him into the corner of the elevator like he was my prey—which is pretty ironic considering he's the wolf. "Much better," I seductively whispered into his ear before bringing my lips to his again. His warm hands held my waist tightly as I stood on my tip-toes and leaned into him. Unfortunately, the elevator ride didn't take long and soon the doors were sliding open on the penthouse floor. Aiden picked me up again and I wrapped my legs around his waist tightly—although he definitely did not need any help holding me up.
We got to his door and he fiddled around in his pocket for a second, trying to locate his key without his sight considering our lips were still very busy. When he finally found it, he broke the kiss to unlock the door. But I just wasn't having that. I quickly attached my worked up lips to his neck, sucking lightly and occasionally biting, each time making him groan. "Mmm, you're so gonna get it," he sighed into my ear. The hot air from his breath caused goosebumps to run up and down my body.
"Only if you can catch me," I whispered back to him before quickly detaching my body from his and running into the apartment. The only problem was that he was a lot quicker than me and soon right behind me. I ran into the kitchen, using the island to put space between us. He grinned at me from the opposite side as I switched back and forth between trying to run left or right as he mirrored my move every time. I quickly faked right then ran left, running through the living room, but was cut off as his muscular arms wrapped around my waist and lifted my feet off the ground.
"Gotcha," he hummed in my ear as he carried me to the couch with me laughing and kicking in his arms the entire time.
"So you got me, now what are you gonna do with me?" I questioned him with a breathy voice after he tossed me down onto the bigger of the two lounge couches. His eyes roamed over my body. My messy hair, my ruffled shirt, my little denim shorts. I could see him eying every bit of me, and it sent a warmth throughout my body. I kicked off my sneakers and kneeled on the couch, reaching over to grab onto the bottom hem of his shirt and bring him closer to me. I pressed my lips to his in a hard kiss and pulled his body down with mine as I fell back against the couch again.
My body shivered as the cool air of the room mixed with Aiden's warm palms as he ran his hands up and down my sides underneath my shirt. I removed my lips from his and started kissing every inch of his neck as his nimble fingers made quick work of the buttons on my flannel. As soon as the buttons were all popped open, he started placing hot kisses from my neck…to my collarbone…to my chest…two on my stomach.
"Whoa, some tutoring session you got going on here," I suddenly heard Ethan say. I quickly pushed against Aiden's chest, shoving him off of me in a hurry as I fumbled around trying to button my shirt. I looked over at Ethan with a furious blush covering my face and saw him smirking at me with the most amused expression I've possibly ever seen. "So how's Lydia, Aiden?" Ethan accusingly questioned, although from the continuation of his amused demeanor, I could only assume he didn't actually care that much. Aiden quickly picked up one of the pillows on the floor that had fallen from the couch and launched it at his brother—unfortunately Ethan caught it with one hand as he took a sip from his orange juice bottle with his other.
"Why are you here anyway? Didn't you have plans with Danny today?" Aiden questioned his twin. Ethan shrugged before explaining that Danny's parents were making him go to some "stupid business dinner" they organized with the pharmaceutical representatives that sell to their medical office.
"So do you two actually plan on studying or are you just hoping disrupting Brielle's homeostasis will help you understanding biology better, Aid?" Ethan joked. This time I took the opportunity to throw a pillow at him, only to be caught yet again. I hopped up from the couch and grabbed my book bag from the spot that I dropped it when we walked in the door, and walked back to the couch as I pulled out my biology textbook and notes. Ethan grinned at me and shook his head before walking down the hallway towards his room. Right when I heard Ethan's door click shut, I looked up at Aiden and we both started cracking up immediately. Oh, how embarrassing that was. At least it was only Ethan though. We both knew he wouldn't tell anyone what he saw.
As soon as we recovered from our laughing fits, Aiden leaned in and gently kissed me, probably as an unspoken apology for the major embarrassment I just had to endure. I felt him start to mess with the buttons on my shirt again and pulled back to send him a shocked look. I couldn't believe he was actually trying to start up what we had going after we'd just been caught—especially considering the person who caught us in the act is now in his room just a few feet away! Aiden started chuckling at my reaction and I couldn't hide the confusion that was now taking space in my mind. "I'm just trying to fix your shirt. When you buttoned it, you skipped a couple and …well it was just a complete mess actually," he said with a laugh. I could only form the word "oh" as my face took on its rosy blush again. Aiden leaned in and kissed my cheek. "Don't worry, it was kinda cute seeing you get all frazzled," he added and I playfully shoved his shoulder before attempting to refocus him on biology instead of me.
"Hey! Brielle! Wait up!" I heard Stiles call from behind me as I was walking with Allison into school the next day.
"Good luck," Allison said with an over-exaggerated wink. I gave her back a light push, and stopped to wait for Stiles to catch up.
"Hey, boy wonder. What's up?" I greeted Stiles as he fell into step beside me. He gave me a confused look matched with a sweet smile.
"Boy wonder?" he curiously questioned. I shrugged my shoulders.
"Eh, spur of the moment thing. You don't like it?" I asked, tilting my head to the side and pondering the name myself.
"I guess as long as you're the one saying it, I don't mind much. So, uh, I actually wanted to talk to you about the …date," he hesitantly admitted.
"Oh yeah? You sure you're gonna be able to actually talk this time?" I teased, knocking him in the shoulder slightly. He gave an awkward chuckle, recalling how embarrassed and worked up he got last time. "Don't worry, Stiles. I happen to find your shyness quite adorable," I said with a wink. "Anyway, the date, go on."
"Yeah, so I kind of had an idea for it…It may sound a little dumb but I mean, it could be cool…" he started to ramble. I reached down and intertwined my fingers with his, pulling him to a stop.
"I'm sure it'll be a good idea. Besides, if I get to spend the day with you, it'll obviously be fun," I ensured him.
"Okay, well, uh, this new aquarium opened like a half hour from here. I know you love animals so I figured you might like it," he shyly said. I smiled at him and reached up to kiss his cheek.
"I love it. What day are we going?" I asked.
"Um, we could go on Friday, if you don't have plans already…" he offered.
"Sounds great! I have to get to class, but we'll finish sorting out the details later," I happily said before releasing his hand and skipping off to first period to go tell Danny the exciting revelation.
"Oh, hey, Scott," I greeted as I walked up to my locker and saw him standing there waiting for me. "Do you need something…?" I questioned, noticing his awkward posture. Granted, we weren't the most talkative with each other, but I didn't think we had any tension between us.
"I, uh, just kind of had a question for you…" he awkwardly said but then hesitated. I pulled the books I needed out of my locker and shut it, waiting for him to continue. When he didn't, I raised my eyebrows at him. "It's kind of a strange question, and maybe not any of my business, but uh, why did you smell like Aiden yesterday?" he finally blurted out. Shit. What the hell? Well no wonder he had an odd facial expression plastered on yesterday at lunch. My mind scrambled for an answer, and thankfully I was actually able to come up with one pretty quickly, especially considering I'm not usually too skilled at thinking of something spur of the moment.
"Well, I sit next to him in biology class right before lunch? I guess that could be why," I said, not exactly lying considering I really do sit next to him.
"Brielle…I know that's not why…I mean, you pretty much reeked of his scent…I just…Stiles is my best friend and I know you two have been hitting it off…and Lydia, well she's my friend too, kind of…" he replied, knotting his eyebrows together as he thought of how to approach the situation. My mind was still pretty blown too. Why hadn't Aiden thought of this?! He should've known the other wolves would be able to smell him on me!
"Scott…I just…are you going to tell them?" I asked, realizing there wasn't anything I could say to fix the situation right now. He thought about it for a minute as I nervously chewed on my cuticle. Finally he sighed heavily.
"No," he finally answered. I breathed a sigh of relief and nodded my head thankfully. "But…if it continues…either you tell them or I'm going to have to…like I said, Stiles is my best friend. He hasn't like anyone as much as he likes you since Lydia. I don't want to see you hurt him," Scott sternly warned. I nodded my head again. He was right. Aiden and I were hurting the people we loved without them even knowing it. But I couldn't just give him up now…or Stiles. But the secret definitely wouldn't be able to last much longer considering Ethan and Scott both already knew. Ugh, what did I get myself into with this?!
"Stiles really has a problem with liking girls who are out of his league. I mean first Lydia, now you. But I guess he's one lucky guy since you said yes," Danny commented after I told him about Stiles' and I date. I playfully punched Danny's arm for his insinuation. Luckily for us, our teacher came to class very unprepared and very hungover, therefore, the only things he instructed us to do today were keep the volume down and act busy if any other teachers or the principal come in the room. Score one for us.
"I cannot believe you just said that! I am totally not out of his league! In fact, I didn't even know there were leagues! He's a great guy, and I need that. Every girl does. In fact, I'm probably the lucky one here," I retorted as I really put everything in context. I had totally left Stiles in the dust for the past couple months, granted he may have deserved a bit of the silent treatment, but I completely left him. That wasn't right. I'm just lucky he forgave me. Lucky they all forgave me. Even Lydia—if she even did. I could never really tell with her because she seemed to be cold to a lot of people.
"Whatever, all I'm saying is that he better realize what he has before he makes whatever stupid mistake he made to lose you last time," Danny concluded. I couldn't really explain what separated Stiles and I last time without getting into all the supernatural junk, so to this day, he's still pretty vague on all the details—which doesn't work out in Stiles' favor considering Danny still thinks he made an idiotic mistake. "Also, where exactly does Aiden fit into this whole Brielle/Stiles date scenario?" Danny abruptly asked. I looked over at him with a completely stunned expression. "Yes, Brielle, Ethan told me. We both find it quite funny actually considering how much you despised Aiden just a mere few months ago," he added while my jaw was still gaping open. I couldn't seem to form any thoughts, much less words, as my mind was clouded with shock and panic. Right as I was about to try to form a coherent response to Danny, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and took it out to see a text from none other than Aiden.
"Locker room. 5 minutes," the text read. Upon first reading it, a smile grew on my face, but that smile soon faded as I remembered how badly the secret was already unraveling. Something had to be done about this situation and ASAP. I couldn't let Stiles find out about it from anyone but me. That just wouldn't be fair to him at all.
"Really, Brielle? Pulling a Lydia and meeting him during class?" Danny incredulously asked when I stood up from my seat as I filled out my hallway pass. I cut a glare at him and he quickly wiped away the smile on his face.
"I'm taking care of things, Danny. This whole thing has already gotten too out of hand for my liking," I explained.
"Good luck," he said with a wave of his hand. I quickly nodded and gave him a tiny smile before walking to the front of the room to get my pass signed by the teacher.
"Excuse me, Mr…" I began to ask but he cut me off by raising his hand to me and gesturing for me to hand him the passbook. He quickly signed his initials and waved me off. I guess he really did go a little too hard last night. Poor old man.
I walked down the hallway a little slower than normal as I tried to figure out what to say to Aiden. Unfortunately for me, the walk to the locker room wasn't that far and before I could work out the words in my head, I was already there. It hadn't quite been five minutes, so I decided to pass by the room to walk a little further to try to form a plan in my head. Before I got more than two steps though, I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me into the locker room. I almost screamed from how much it shocked me, but quickly recovered as I realized who it obviously was.
Instantly, his lips were kissing down my neck as his hands rubbed into my thighs. "Aid—" I muttered out, but the sound came out more as a moan than anything else from his biting on my neck. His hands came up and went slightly underneath my shirt, pulling it up a bit and causing goosebumps to form from the rush of cold air mixed with his warm palms against my bare skin. I took a deep breath before trying to speak again. "Aiden, we need…we need to talk," I managed to say.
"You're into that?" he breathed into my ear. I laughed and shook my head. Typical that his mind would take that route. I spun my body around to face him and quickly put my hands against his chest to keep him at a safe distance.
"Aiden, I mean we need to talk, like ya know, have a conversation," I asserted. He sighed and looked at me with a pained expression.
"Really, Bri? Right now?" he asked. I quickly hit him on the chest, although it may have hurt my hand more than it hurt him.
"Yes! Yes, right now!" I exclaimed and he finally understood I meant business and took a few steps back to sit on Coach Finstock's near empty desk. I walked closer to him and stood in front of him. He wrapped his arms around my waist, but didn't make any more advances other than that. "Look…I just…I don't really know how to say this, so I'm just going to say it…"
"We have to end this," he suddenly said. I looked at him with a shocked/confused expression. Where the hell did that come from?! I mean, yeah, that's what I was going to say, but I never expected him to say it! I guess he saw my expression but he started laughing and pulled me a little closer. "I don't want to end this. But that's what you were going to say, right?" he added. Oh, okay. Now this makes more sense. I nodded my head, confirming what he was saying. "So why do we have to end it anyway? Scared you're gonna become addicted to me?" he asked with a smirk. I giggled and subconsciously rubbed his upper arm where my hand had been resting.
"No, you're not that special," I teased, giving him a wink. "But, uh, well, Scott knows. He knew we were together that day we were late to lunch and he put the pieces together, I guess. Apparently, I reeked of your scent," I sarcastically informed him.
"Good thing I smell great then," he joked.
"How can you be making jokes right now?! Scott knows that we were together and could easily tell Lydia if he wanted to!" I yelled at him.
"I highly doubt it's Lydia that you're concerned will find out," he accused.
"So what? Is it really that bad that I don't want him to know?" I questioned.
"You're not even in a relationship with him, Bri! It's not like you're cheating on him!" God, he could be so dense sometimes. It didn't matter that I wasn't technically cheating on him. It was the fact that he thinks I'm completely single and available with no attachments to anyone else, and that clearly isn't the case.
"Just because I'm not cheating on him doesn't mean that I'm not leading him on thinking that there's no one," I pointed out.
"So just tell him he's not the only guy in your life. No big deal, right?" he asked. I guess it made a bit of sense. Stiles didn't have to know who the guy was, just that there was another guy. No exclusivity, that can work right? At least for a little bit while I sort out all of my feelings. On the one hand, I loved the attraction that Aiden and I had. It was raw and real, which never failed to excite. But on the other hand, I had a real connection with Stiles. He was the sweetest guy I'd ever met by far, and I could see myself in a real, long term relationship with him. The big question that was conflicting everything was what I actually wanted right now, and to be honest, I wasn't sure I wanted, or was even ready for, a serious relationship right now, and I definitely didn't want to start a mediocre one with Stiles and have it ruin any potential for a serious one later on. The other main problem was that we were still constantly forgetting someone in this whole situation.
"What about Lydia? Scott told me that he'd tell her. I really don't want to be the cause of your relationship ending, and quite frankly, I don't want to be on Lydia's bad side. It really doesn't seem like it'd be a fun place," I said, zoning out a little as I imagined how much hell Lydia Martin could probably inflict upon someone's life. Damn, I get shudders just thinking about it.
Aiden's soft laugh brought me back down to planet Earth, although I didn't really see what could possibly be funny. "The relationship isn't working out anyway. Not because of you," he quickly added, seeing that I was about to argue about not being the cause of their breakup. "We've been hooking up for months, and after all that happened, I jumped into a relationship with her. This past week with her has been …rough. We just don't …connect like I thought we would," he said with a shrug. I guess that made sense. I mean, clearly this wasn't a big deal to him so who was I to argue about how he should feel?
"Fine, but make sure you do it before Scott does," I warned him. He nodded in understanding and lowered his lips to mine for a quick peck. "I should get back to class now." I said before quickly kissing him again and turning to leave the locker room office. "Hey!" I shrieked as I felt his hand smack my butt. He shrugged his shoulders and gave me an innocent look. I laughed and shook my head before playfully shaking my butt and quickly running away from him. I slowed down as soon as I got in the hallway so I wouldn't draw attention to myself. I actually felt a great sense of relief that we worked out that solution, especially now, because I really just couldn't imagine losing Aiden so soon after I just got him.
"No, you're totally exaggerating!" Allison exclaimed, pointing her finger accusingly at me. I mimicked a shocked/hurt expression as best I could while I was trying to suppress my laughter.
"I am not! You can even ask the oh-so-trustworthy Danny!" I shouted back at her.
"Ask me what?" Danny questioned from down the table after he overheard me.
"About Mr. Thompson! He was like totally hungover this morning, right?!" I asked, looking to him for backup on this. He started laughing as he recalled the ridiculous excuse for a class this morning.
"No, she definitely is not exaggerating. He was literally face down on his desk, made us keep the lights off, and basically told us to keep our mouths zipped shut," Danny explained. Allison, Stiles, and Scott started cracking up. Oh, of course they don't believe me, but they'll believe it the second Danny tells the story!
"Jeezes, he's getting even worse than when we had him last year! Do you remember that Scott?" Stiles asked his friend. You could tell from their expressions that they were both recalling all the memories of that class when both their sets of eyes glazed over slightly before they both burst out laughing.
"Hey, Lydia. Do you know where Aiden is?" I heard Ethan ask from the other side of table. I took a bite of my sandwich as I nonchalantly waited for her answer. I really had no idea where he was, and I also didn't know when he planned to end things with her, so I didn't even know if that had anything to do with it. Apparently, it did though because Lydia let out an annoyed huff before answering Ethan.
"I don't know, nor do I care. He's your brother, why don't you just text him if you're so curious?" she snapped out. I pulled my bottom lip into my mouth as I nibbled guiltily on it. I felt someone watching me and looked up to see Scott's brown eyes shooting me a questioning look. I subtly shrugged my shoulders and quickly looked away from his accusing stare. I felt my phone buzz and took it out. Great. A text from Scott.
"Does this have anything to do with you?" it read.
"No, Scott. He told me it just wasn't working out between them," I quickly replied back.
"So you're still talking to him?" he accused. God, he was starting to annoy me with his line of questioning.
"He and I are friends, Scott. Don't worry, I'm talking to Stiles about everything later," I ensured him. I looked over at Scott after sending the message and after he read it, he met my eye contact and nodded. Sometimes, I don't know whether I should be annoyed with him for butting in my business or appraise him for being such a good friend to Stiles. Either way, he was definitely putting a lot of pressure on my shoulders. Although I suppose I put myself in this position and deserved any consequences. Hopefully those consequences won't be too severe with Stiles…
So who likes the date idea Stiles had?! I figured it would be a cute idea and not just the typical dinner/movie date!
