After they had shared the news with the family, Elizabeth felt a wave of relief wash over her. She took a walk with Henry after they had been sitting all day in the car. They didn't talk much, but just enjoyed walking hand in hand through the neighborhood. The sun was shining down at them and they stooped at the playground for a couple of minutes to watch all the little kids play before they made their way back home. Watching them, Elizabeth could totally see herself being one of the parents sitting at the benches making sure the kids were alright. Glancing at Henry, she knew that he had thought the exact same thing. Elizabeth went upstairs to read a book while her husband went to sit with his mother in the living room.

"I'm so happy for you Henry, you have no idea." His mum said to him and patted his arm.

"Thanks mum. I hope I'm going to be a great father and not disappoint you or Elizabeth." Henry responded while getting himself comfortable on the couch.

"Actually, I wanted to talk you about that. You know, being a parent is a huge responsibility. An Henry, believe me, I know that you're very responsible, but I want to make sure that you're prepared for that." She looked at him with a serious expression making him listen carefully.

"Being a parent can be hard sometimes. Well, who am I kidding, it's hard all the time! And the best and worst part at the same time: You have to share that responsibility with your wife. Believe me, you won't see eye to eye with Elizabeth all the time and it's going to be a nightmare trying to agree on things. But you have to make it work, for the baby and your marriage. You'll certainly have to make some sacrifices along the way." Looking at Henry, she saw his terrified expression. "Listen, honey, I don't want to scare you, but I want you to know that it's going to be hard and you have to be prepared for that. However, it's not all bad! Having a child is the most incredible journey of your life and you have to enjoy it as much as you can. It's going to fly by so quickly and gosh, you're gonna miss it." His mother smiled in memory of that time of her life before getting up from the couch. "I just wanted to let you know that, but I know you're going to be a great parent. Now I have to check on your sister, excuse me." She walked away and Henry just sat there frozen to the spot. What the hell was that? he thought. Suddenly he panicked, his pulse picked up and his breathing quickened. He knew what was about to happen, so he jumped up from the couch and made his way upstairs to his bedroom. He barged in, totally unaware that Elizabeth was sitting on his bed reading her book. He frantically searched through his bag but couldn't find what he was looking for.

"Henry, what's wrong? What are you looking for?" Elizabeth had confusion written all over her. Henry jumped in surprise, he hadn't noticed her presence until now.

"My pills, I don't remember where I put them, I -" He brought out breathlessly. He held his hand to his chest and felt his heart racing.

"Honey, calm down. Everything is going to be okay." She quickly jumped out of bed and pulled the bedside drawer open. "Here, you put them in here earlier." She reached for the bottle of Zoloft and handed him a pill and the bottle of water that was standing on the floor. Henry took it thankfully and hoped it would calm him down in a minute. Elizabeth pulled him by his hand and made him sit down on the bed. He looked at his hands and noticed that they were still shaking.

"Deep breaths. Try to relax." Elizabeth positioned herself behind him to massage his shoulders. They just sat there for a while waiting for the pill to kick in and Henry's breathing to even out. When Henry felt like himself again, he turned to her sheepishly.

"I'm sorry about that." He was embarrassed that he was so out of control in front of his wife and he hated that she had to see that.

"Don't worry. Do you want to talk about it?" Elizabeth offered while continuing to massage him. Henry sighed and leaned back against her.

"Honestly, I don't even know. My mum gave me this talk about responsibilities once we're parents and making sacrifices... And it was terrifying. It might have messed with me a little." He shrugged.

"A little? To me, it seemed more than just a little. I've never seen you like this... panicky, I guess. Are you alright?" Elizabeth asked with a kiss to his temple.

"Yeah, I'm better now. Didn't mean to scare you." He paused before asking, "Do you think our marriage is going to make it?" Henry asked in a serious tone.

"You're kidding, right? Of course we're gonna make it work. We love each other and we're gonna figure things out along the way." She encouraged him and suddenly all his seriousness was gone. He tickled her and gave her a soft push and she fell backwards against the cushions with a laugh. "What are you doing?" She giggled when he leaned to hover above her.

"You want to practice for baby number two?" He joked and kissed his way up her neck,

"Seriously? Well, as long as we keep practicing for at least two years..." She laughed when he nibbled her ear and suddenly, they had all forgotten about Henry's weird behavior earlier. Things weren't always perfect, but somehow they still made it work and that's what's important.
