Getting dressed he looked at himself in the mirror, it was fucking hard as hell thinking he´d see her, after everything that had happened. Putting his wallet and phone in his jacket again, he left the apartment, leaving Amber still fast asleep on the sofa.

Tommy found Jack sitting in his booth when he entered the diner she used to work in, now the place was a bit newer, the old fashion diner style was swapped with a newer edge. The walls where painted in a lighter brown color and the staff where replaced by young adults.

Jack stood up when she saw Tommy, her hair was shorted, curly, she looked a bit plumper then usual, she wore a long trench coat, with a long turtle neck dress and the biggest surprise in Tommy´s view was the small belly.

Jack was pregnant.

Seeing her small belly, it was like all the Xanax´s in his system left his bloodstream and he was once more stone cold sober, feeling all the hurt even stronger. Tommy kept walking towards her, not that he knew how he was doing that, his legs felt like jelly and he knew his expression showed that he was shocked.

-"Hi!" Jack smiled carefully as they both took a seat, Tommy´s eyes not leaving her belly until she sat.

-"You´re pregnant?" he said laughing sarcastically and looking out the diner window, his hands where still in the pocket of his jacket, but if it was up to him they would be around her boyfriend´s throat.

Jack dug around in her purse before she found a white envelope and put it on the table, right in front of Tommy. He still didn't look at her, he couldn't, he was livid.

-"What the fuck is that?" He looked down at the envelope before looking back out the window again.

-"Its Henry´s insurance fund, Pillar had one made for him, where she put all of the fund you had sent them, along with some she´d saved up for herself, it has enough money for you to pay off the debts you owe the hospital" she said calmly.

-"You think I can't take care of myself?" Tommy asked finally looking at her, but it was hard for him not to gaze down at her stomach, he couldn't believe it.

-"No, I think you shouldn't be solely responsible for his medical bills and move on with your life"

-"Move on with my life? Why not sent it in the fucking mail like a normal human being, but instead you come here, order a fucking coffee, sit down across me, pregnant with another motherfuckers child, expecting me to be like; yeah, lets forget we ever shared a home, lets forget that we should have had a baby together not you and that bastard" Tommy hissed pushing his shoulders over the table like he wanted to leap at her, like an angry animal.

-"Tommy, I´m just trying to help you, even after you fucked my friend and left me heartbroken, you fucking sad excuse of a man" Jack hissed, -"Look at you, you´re pathetic, like you are the fucking victim here. If you cant stand me then tell me why you´re even here? You could have hung up and left it be?"

Tommy looked at her, leaning back in his seat, admiring the fact she put him in his place, but he was still reluctant to let her have the last word.

-"Because I love you, because you are the only thing I ever wanted in life, even if I did fuck up, I admit that, but I never moved on, I never started an entire different life, pretending to be happy. You didn't even show up for his funeral. I´m a goddamn mess, I´ve been a mess since you left me, you coldhearted bitch!" Tommy hissed though his t-teeth, hoping that it hurt her, but all Jack did was put her hand on her stomach and stand up from her seat.

She looked down at him, -"Henry is dead, me showing up at his funeral wont change that, I´m happy again, I suggest you try to move on and stop wasting your time with the past. Goodbye, Tommy! "

As Jack walked away, out the diner, it all made sense to him, why it all happened this way, because he wasn't meant to be happy and he had nothing more to lose. Like hell if he would let her walk away not hearing that, so he stood up, and ran after her, out the diner door, down the pair of steps, across the street and into the parking lot.

-"Wait!" Tommy yelled after Jack, trying to reach her before she got to her car.

-"Does your boyfriend know you are here?" Tommy stopped running and started walking when he had reached a couple of feet behind her.

-" Yes, he does know I´m here!" Jack picked her purse on the hood of her car to find her keas.

-"Then call him!" Tommy stood in front of her door, not letting her pass.

-"Get out of my way!" Jack backed up trying to push him away.

-"He doesn't know does he, because he knows who you loved before him, and that's why you´re really here, that's why you made sure I had the insurance money, if it really isn't your own money, but I can figure out real quick" Tommy stood still and watched as Jack put her hand on her head and yelled at him; -"Get the fuck out of my way!"

-"Nah, I don't think so, not until you tell me the truth, you still care, you still love me, you still want me back and I know you do!" Tommy didn't move.

Jack took a deep breath –"Listen Tommy, I understand that you calling my sister´s apartment every day for months, asking about me, needing me to be there for you, because this is a hard situation, but you are not a person I want around me anymore. I love my boyfriend, I love Miles"

Tommy came closer, looking at her in the darkness of the lowly lit parking lot, he knew her well and this is what he knew. –"Then why not answer me, why contact me saying you are moving, but instead you spring a fucking baby on me and an insurance check, either you are full of shit or you are lying about something"

-"I am moving on with my life and out of New York, I gave you that insurance because you agreed to meet me, I wanted to say my peace…" as she was talking Tommy watched her and like the surprise pregnancy something smacked him in the face, metaphorically, it was a bad idea, but it was the last shot.

He walked over to her in a hasty step, grabbed her by the face and planted his lips on hers, the kiss was familiar, warm and he just admitted to himself even more how much he needed this woman. He put his arm around her body and pushed her closer to him, leaning her head down so he could deepen the kiss. She tried to fight him off, but not hard enough.

Tommy kept cupping her face and moved his hand to the back of her now short hair, distancing his lips just inches from hers and nodding his head, -"Stay"

Jack didn't move until Tommy tried to kiss her again, then she jerked away and got a couple of inches away from his body. He was still holding his arm around her body, trying to keep her there.

-"I don't want you" Jack said, trying to keep inching away from him, but Tommy kept his strong grip tight.

-"You just keep lying to yourself, you wanted to see me, you don't hate me, you don't want that guy, you need to just forgive me for what I did, I was wrong, but I´m miserable without you, that´s the gods honest truth"

-"I´m pregnant, Tommy, and I´m happy" Jack relaxed her body against Tommy´s as he looked down at those eyes he loved so much.

-"I love you enough that I can look past the baby, its there, I don't like, but I love you" he stared at her, but she kept turning her gaze away from him.

-"It is his baby?" Tommy asked arching his brows, trying to catch her gaze again, he knew her tendencies to be a promiscuous when she was hurt, but he was hoping this wasn't some random ass guy´s kid, or maybe he did, then he would rub it in her boyfriends face.

-"If you made a mistake, you can be forgiven, its fine, another guy´s baby is another guy´s baby, it don't matter to me…" Jack still avoided his gaze and was now trying to squirm out of his arms, but he grabbed her by the jaw with his hand and made her stare at him.

-"Don't do this" Jack whispered through her tears, now trying to hold back sobbing, Tommy chased her tears away with his thumb.

-"I´m not letting you go until you tell me the truth"

Jack shook her head; -"There is no secret truth, its just done, Tommy! Leave me alone" She managed to tear away from his arm and in a hurry she picked her keys out of her purse.

Slamming her car door, she drove off, leaving him standing there;
-"Jack" he yelled after her car.
