a/n: Sorry for taking incredibly long to post this chapter. The thing is I've actually got more than the next five chapters figured out, but I haven't had the time to start writing them.

- END -

Chris was frantically dashing from hallway to hallway when Soul and Silver spotted her. Silver attempted to call out to her, but Chris seemed to not have noticed her.

"Should we follow her?" asked Silver as they were walking. Soul stopped and tugged on Silver's shirt so he would stop as well. "What's wrong?"

"I was kind of mean to her earlier, I'm afraid that her anger is directed towards me," said Soul.

"Knowing her, she's probably mad at that idiot. Never really gets mad at anyone else."

"Rightfully so. You know I wouldn't feel one bit bad if she were to push him off the Burned Tower or sic Archy on him," said Soul and received a mildly disturbed look from Silver. "Or something normal like punch him. Yeah, punching's good."

"There you go, happy thoughts," Silver smiled.

"Is that a smile I see? I didn't know your face knew how to do that."

Silver immediately returned to his usual pouting look, but the corners of his mouth wouldn't give in; they were trying to force back the smile. The external struggle on his face was hilarious which is why Soul was trying so hard to stop herself from bursting out in laughter.

Their little moment was cut short when Chris passed again, but this time not quite as fast. She was almost stomping across the hall, more determined with a clear objective. Soul and Silver briefly turned to each other and from the worried looks from both of their faces they knew immediately to follow her.

Gold was just lazily hanging onto the window and looking into the sky, yet unaware of the angry girl approaching her.

"You idiot!" Chris yelled. Gold turned around immediately and took a step back instinctively, but there wasn't anywhere to go. She pushed him from his shoulder and made him hit the wall behind him pretty hard.

"Didn't know you were into the rough stuff," Gold grimaced.

Chris ignored his comment completely. "How stupid can you get? Actually you know what forget that I even asked that because I feel like every time I ask you that you take it as a challenge and do something worse and I really don't want to see how you'll top this off."

Silver and Soul had just caught up and were standing at the corner of the hallway. "Is she going to make a point? Does she have a point?" asked Soul.

Silver shrugged. "She gets mad at Gold a lot. At this point I'm sure she's more angry at him than you are."

"I might be over it, but more than likely it's still a bit surreal. I might come to you crying tomorrow," she chuckled drearily.

"Look you know what, I stand by my decision," argued Gold, which made Soul all the more uncomfortable in the back. "I love Soul, I've known her since we didn't even know how to talk. But I think we can only be old friends because she's ruining our dynamic. It's really no big deal."

That last comment started something within Silver to boil and he immediately went for Gold and jumped him He was ready to beat him to a pulp.

"What are you doing?" Gold was caught off guard and confused and he was doing his best to fend off Silver causing the both of them to roll in the hallway.

"Me? What are you doing? How could you be so cruel? Don't you even care about what you're putting other people through?"

"Yeah, I do. Enough for me to put my feelings aside and let go so the girl I like can be with the guy she wants."

"The hell are you talking about?"

"You know, you and Chris," Gold answered rather quietly.

Silver pushed Gold away and got up. "Really, how stupid are you. You think she likes me? Are you that blind?"

Gold looked briefly at Chris and then back at Silver. His face started to turn red from the neck up. He wasn't sure what he was feeling, but he wasn't going to start thinking about it now so he decided to continue fighting Silver instead.

Silver, who was already sick of Gold's nonsense, ended up punching him as he was charging at him. "Got what you deserved. You've got some apologizing to do."

"Hmpf. Since when do you care so much," grumbled Gold from the floor.

He knew Gold didn't ask it seriously, but Silver ended up answering it frankly. "Since I met her." Everyone turned their gazes to Soul.

- END OF CHAPTER -

Phew, finished barely before the New Year. But yeah this is the end of the second generation's story. For now. Hopefully the next chapter will be up faster than this one, which was very short for the amount of time it took me to write. My apologies.
