Disclaimer: I do not own anything, I'm just borrowing the characters from the authors in secret…don't tell anyone or they'll skin me alive!

Well as you can see I am still alive and so is this story, been doing as much writing as I can on one of my Halo stories so that is almost out and speaking of I am very interested by what the new Halo Wars game will contribute to the lore.

Saddened by the end of Bleach though unlike many I am not angry at the ending (or the pairing, I mean I heard the IchiRuki fans freaked badly when IchiHime became cannon hence why we are seeing an explosion of the former.) but how Shonen Jump emulated Hollywood and made Kubo end it sooner and thus give us such a lackluster end to such a great series.

Speaking of I got a rant at the end regarding the state of affairs in Marvel so if you aren't interested I will mark where it starts so you can leave since I know not many enjoy reading the ravings of a lunatic...unless you happen to be a Merc with a Mouth.

Chapter 9:

Japan, Kyoto, Yoshida ancestral home…

Nodoka was a woman of habits, something she had developed early in her life as a student of swordplay and in school and had carried out even in motherhood. The only times this was not true was went it came to her children's rather unique lives, both adopted and blood related.

Honestly she relished those moment where the monotony was broken by something exciting, the reason being they reminded her of better times with the man she would have married had fate not have intervened in such a cruel fashion…though it seems it was not done with her just yet as she was very surprised by who was on the other end of the phone.

"…Logan?"

-Yeah it's me Hime, it's me.—

So many emotions surge at hearing his voice alone, longing and love at the forefront, worry and fear at the back. Logan of course was no better, this was the woman he had loved as much as Mariko and bore his son for god's sake.

"Does…does this mean Ranma found you? Is he alright?" She asks in a hopeful tone as she waits for him to answer.

-Yeah, he found me and the others, it took us by surprise but he did Nodoka our…our son found me.— Logan replies, though he made sure to keep the part where he was attacked and set on fire to himself because the last thing he want is to cause more pain.

In his mind he had already done enough damage, no need to add more.

"I am glad, how is he? Can I speak to him?" Nodoka asked with hope at hearing her son's voice.

-He is undergoing some testing, it's to better gauge where his powers are at and how Chuck can better help him.— Logan replied with a slight wince, even after all the time passed he still hated to deny her.

"Chuck?" She asks curiously.

-Sorry, I mean Professor Charles Xavier, he is the founder of the school; I just call him that because I find it easier.— He says to her earning a giggle from her that made him warm inside, he always did love seeing her smile and laugh, more so because he was the one who made her happy.

"I now recall you had a tendency to do that, my father was less than please you labelled him an old coot."

-Hey now! The man was asking for it for comparing me to a smelly dog that night we were caught in the rain, he is lucky I didn't give him a close up of my claws for that.— Her former beau defended himself earning another small laugh.

"…I missed this." She suddenly blurted out.

-…-

"Logan?" Now she was worried she had stepped on a proverbial landmine.

-I am so sorry Nodoka, if I had known I….—

Her eyes softened at hearing the regret in his voice, he was always open with his feelings with her. She was proud he felt comfortable enough to lay himself bare to her, and despite the time passed and the distance she still felt for him.

"It wasn't your fault Logan, we didn't know until it was too late, if anything I blame the accursed Hand for taking you from us. We were happy, content… and then that pack of honor less dogs ruined it for us." She spat venomously in a way that would surprise many, Logan included as he eyebrows rose in surprise at his former lover's anger.

She had spent many a night after Logan's departure cursing the crimson clad ninjas, she threw herself into her training as much as she could before her pregnancy forced her leave it behind for the time of its duration and took it up again when Ranma was on his training trip to distract her mind.

*Not that it helped him when that fat bastard threw him into pits with starved animals or cursed lands in China. And Sinister…he will taste my steel should we ever meet, on my families honor I swear it.* She thinks with a mixture of regret and anger, she took a calming breath before continue her talk with Logan.

"But that is the past, we can no more alter the past as we can the future, what matters is the present. Our son is with you now, he is safe and can get the help he needs to master his new found abilities."

-…he may not be as safe as we hope Hime, we do have enemies, assholes who want to make the world their own personal playground or just watch it burn.— Logan grimly replied, he wanted to lessen her worry but he couldn't lie to her…he owe so much to do otherwise.

"I have seen the news Logan and I have read the journal of this monster called Sinister so I am not blind to the fact there are dangers in world we cannot foresee. This Magneto seeks to establish mutant dominance by any means while this Sinister butchers countless others in a quest to create a superior being."

Logan says nothing as she speaks so she continues.

"It is said that for Evil to triumph good men must do nothing, but I know that you, your students, my homelands champions…my son. You are more than just good, you are great and I know that so long as men and women like you exist our world will remain free of such Evil." She ended with utmost confidence, once more making Logan curse his folly of letting her go.

-…i don't know if I am worthy of such words Nodoka, but I do know I have much to make up for to you and our son. I can begin to atone by helping him gain control and also by bringing our family together.— He replied with a determination born from a newfound need to be with the woman he still loved and make amends to his son.

"Logan?" Nodoka couldn't help the rising hope in her heart.

-Keep a bag ready with whatever you need because I will come and bring you home with me. I let you go once my Hime and I will be dammed if I let you go again.—

Nodoka was beside herself, she did not dare hope she would be reunited with the man she loved so long ago. She could feel tears gather but held back a sob so she could reply.

"Then until we meet again my love, though I am not alone and I will want to bring others with me." She says with warmth at him.

-No worries, I got it covered in my end.—He said confidently as he felt his guilt lighten as he heard the happiness in her voice.

"You always were such a boy scout Logan." The Gunshin matriarch mischievously responded earning a bark of laughter from Logan.

-And you always knew how to get a chuckle out of me Hime.—

They both paused after that as they let the silence reign for a moment before Logan spoke up.

-Listen Hime, I got to go since they should be testing Ranma's powers about now.—

"I understand, please tell him to take care, eat right and keep his studies up." She spoke to the feral mutant in a motherly tone.

-I will.—

"And Logan?"

-Yeah Hime?—

"I…I still…I still love you." She blurted out before her mind could caught up with her. Logan was just as stunned for a moment but quickly regained his senses.

-I still love you too Hime.—

Both hung up at that moment, both feeling emotions long since buried resurface and basking in them for a minute, both thinking the same thing as they stood.

*He/She still loves me.*

With that in mind she went to prepare and speak to her daughter and friends while Logan made his way towards the Danger room feeling better than he had ever had since being forced to leave Nodoka.

At the Danger Room…

Ranma gave a impressed whistle as he stood in the large room where the X-men trained.

"How the heck did you guys build this without anyone knowing!?" The former Nerima resident asked as he turns to look at the control room.

-Oh we have our ways my young friend.— Hank replies with chuckle, all the new students react in a similar way when first seeing the training room. Heck even he had been gob smacked once the structure was done and fully functional before pride stepped in for having seen to its completion.

-Ranma, the purpose of the Danger Room is to serve as a training facility so we can hone our gifts in a controlled conditions.— The Professor spoke up as he stood next to his old friend and Ororo while some of the students stood behind them.

"So basically you get to blow stuff up without hurting anyone right?" The raven haired teen excitedly says to his soon to be teachers. The students gave a small chuckle at that as they all thought the same thing when they first used the facility, their teachers took it in stride though.

-In simple terms yes that is its purpose Ranma, now in this case we wish to see the extent of your abilities as well just how much control you have over them. This will aid us in developing a proper regimen for you as we train you in the use of your abilities.—

"Well okay Professor, you are the experts here so what do you want me to do first?" Ranma amicable replied as he readied himself for what his new teacher wanted him to do.

Up in the control room Xavier pressed a sequence of buttons, the result of this caused walls to rise and form a small alley the width of a one way street and the height of a 1 story building.

-Ranma, we would like to begin with a sort of obstacle course...— Hank began as many objects came out of the walls that the teen quickly identified as cannons, oversized tentacle clamps, electrified poles rising at random from the floor, etc. -…though as you can see this is not your typical one.—

"Awesome! Can I run it now?" Ranma's excitement was quite visible for them to see and feel in the psychics case, it was odd for the other teens given how much trouble they sometimes went through the room. Of course they didn't know about the type of life he had lived so their ignorance was understandable.

-Run the course while avoiding the hazards, and don't afraid to use your abilities Ranma. Remember the purpose of these exercises is to help us help you, now on your mark.— Charles comments as he readies the rooms sensors to analyze the boy's abilities.

Ranma took a runners stance just before the start of a race.

-Go!—

And soon he took off with everyone eagerly looking from on high.

"You guys think he will make it?" Kitty asked her friends while keeping her eyes on the screen.

"Maybe if he knew more about his powers." Evan replies while flipping a bone shard in his hand.

"Well I would say he knows that power pretty well." Jean spoke up as they see him assume his armored form and charge into the lasers

Down on the course Ranma decided to take a page out of pigboy's playbook and use his best defense to power through the first hazard. He could sense the impacts but did not feel any discomfort as he was struck, he could also see he would need some new clothes given number holes appearing.

*Oh well, better this than those "uniforms" they wore.* He thinks with a shudder as he recalls seeing some of the X-men and New Mutants in their suits…somewhat skin tight suits. He would shamefully admit his eyes may have lingered on Jean and Rogue for a bit more given how more developed they were than the other girls.

He shook his head at that and tried to not to think too hard on that, he wasn't a perv he told himself as he focused on the course. Deciding to takes this opportunity to further experiment with his powers he focused on the cannons and held out his hands…

*Focus… focus…feel for the right power…now!*

*KRAKOOM*

Two of the cannons exploded upon being struck by two bolts of lightning.

"Ok Ranma keep that thought in mind." The teen spoke as he kept his focus on the lightning as he took aim on the other cannons.

In the control Room Storm narrowed her eyes as she felt the boy tap into nature to summon the lightning, however she could feel the connection to nature was rough and unrefined compared to her own, she would need to help him hone that connection.

The next leg of the course was electrified poles that popped up in random intervals from the floor. Now Ranma could power through like before but instead dropped his armored form and gained speed.

It was a bit of a struggle to not let his super speed to take over but he pushed it down hard before he leaps onto the right wall and runs on the surface before leaping again to the opposite wall then repeated the same once more before bypassing the hazard completely.

"Impressive agility and speed, I dare say it was on the level of Mr. Wagner or Logan." Hank commented at the display of acrobatics.

"He does have quite an extensive background in the martial arts from what he said to the students, I am sure it will help him physically though I am curious if mentally as well." Charles commented as he too was impressed with the young man's agility.

"Hmm, I vonder if he can give me some tips on how to boost my skills." Kurt says as he too was impressive by his new friend's abilities.

"I'm sure if you ask him he will Kurt." Jean chimed in, from what little she knew of him, Ranma didn't seem to be of the bad sort like Pietro or Lance.

"I do wonder how he stacks up to Logan." Evan speaks out openly and making the others wondered the same.

"I don't know if that is a good idea yet, like Ranma and Logan have just met one another and they didn't exactly hit it off." Kitty nervously remarked as she remembered their first meeting.

"Like oil and water those two but then again can you blame them? Logan didn't know he existed and Ranma just found out his daddy ain't the person he thought he was. I'd be pretty confused mahself if it were me." Rogue comments earning some nods before Ororo chose to address them.

"Give them time children, there is much healing that needs to be done and common ground must found first to be able to build a relationship on. All we can do is to offer our support during this time, especially to Ranma given what he went through." She ended a bit sadly at the end for the poor young man who had undergone such terrible ordeals.

The teens agreed and promised themselves to spend time with him to both get to know him and help him now that he was part of their family.

"I know! We should totally take him on a tour of the town or maybe even the city, show him the best spots and all." Jubilee spoke out with her usual exuberance that made some of her friends smile and the older teens chuckle.

"I was like thinking more on a welcoming party." Kitty added.

"Ah yeah! Party in the house!" Kurt added with his own cheer.

Unfortunately their plans came to a halt when…

"Ranma!" Hank shouted while the professor scrambled to shut down the Room while the teens rushed to the windows to see what was going on.

As the kids had been talking Ranma was just dodging the mechanical clamps as they tried to catch him, he was actually enjoying himself a bit as he flipped and dodged them…which was the moment his powers flared and his super speed kicked in at the worst possible time as he was facing a wall.

His bones maybe indestructible but unless armored up his flesh was quite vulnerable and thus he had slammed hard enough to leave blood on it…which of course when one of the large clamps fulfilled its purpose and caught his right arm in a tight vice.

"Oh shiiiiiiittttt!" He bellows as he is swung around by the machine while cursing in Japanese and English, especially when his arm popped out of his socket. With that the clamp threw him into the posts he had avoided previously and got a nasty shock for his troubles until finally the room shut down.

"Well…at least…my neck wasn't snapped...kami I fucking hated when that happened." The teen whispered as his body healed. Though his hearing did pick up the doors opening and people running towards him, so with a grunt he got his uninjured arm under him and pushed himself onto his knees.

"Ranma! Are you ok!?" Jean's worry was clear in her voice, which he felt was nice given how many times people just brushed off his condition after a fight, didn't help with the pain but still all things considered it was better than nothing.

He was on one knee as he bent back and grunted as his spine popped quite loudly.

"Going to feel that in the morning." He grunts to no one as they watched him grab his dislocated arm started to tug…

"Wait! Let me…" Hank started to say as he could tell what the young mutant was going to do but…

*POP!* the appendage went as it was reset in place, though the teens grimaced at the noise.

*That was disturbing.* Was the collective thought they had.

"Son of a…! Never did get use to that." Ranma spoke as his healing was quickly taking care of the injury, he may not like all his powers but he did enjoy the benefits his enhanced healing gave him. Though he scowled as he saw his clothes were not as durable as his shirt and pants were full of holes and tears as well as the occasional scorch mark.

"Great, just great, I was starting to like this shirt." He grumbles as he removes it to look at it, forgetting the mix company that was present.

"Hubba hubba." Jubilee muttered as she took in the sight of the shirtless Ranma.

"I know right." Kitty whispered to her and cursed not having a camera on hand…then she remembered that the DR room recorded their sessions.

Jean and Rogue both had blushes on their faces at the sight of his muscles though as much as they wanted to they couldn't turn away. Ironic really considering Ranma's earlier dilemma regarding them in their suits earlier though best to leave that be for now.

Ranma of course was focused on his torn clothing before shrugging and putting it back on.

"Aw!" Kitty and Jubilee let out in disappointment then blushing when the guys turned to look at them.

The boy of course didn't know this as he turned to look at the Professor with a bit of disappointment.

"I'm sorry I failed the test Professor."

"On the contrary Ranma, you must recall that this was not about winning or losing but to learn how best to help you. We now know that your speed has flare ups and thankfully it was in a control area, if anything I must apologize for your getting hurt albeit unexpectedly."

"Nah, at this point in my life I'm used to pain, either by training or you know…" he trails off at the end as all know just what he means.

*No person should be used to pain, much less the levels both he and his father have been subjected to.* the Nubian woman thinks both with anger and sadness before pressing on as she spoke up.

"Be that as it may, this will not be the last time you will be training in this room Ranma. Given some of the natures of your gifts it would be in everyone's best interest if you train either here or on the school grounds to get better acquainted with your abilities as well as learn control."

"Got it Miss Munroe, best to blow stuff up away from civilians." He replies getting some chuckles from the group that made him smirk at hearing it. He didn't want them to dwell too long on the bad, nothing good will come of it.

"In any case we best leave any further training for another date, we have much to plan and do in the coming days." Charles pointed out to the adults and teen who agreed much would need to be done, but first…

"Ranma, could you please meet with me and the other faculty in my study? You as well Jean please, I have something I wish to discuss with you." He politely asks.

"Sure Professor, not like I got anything better to do while I'm healing." He replies sarcastically at the end since he can't just show up at school after the cover story of him being mugged and beat was told to the principal. Although it was more about the implication about him being beaten up by lowly thugs, he still had his pride as a fighter after all.

Jean nodded in agreement as well.

"Scott please call the other students and run the drills please, Jean shall join you later." Charles asked the leader of the X-men who nodded in agreement while the others got ready.

Ranma, Jean and Hank left and headed towards the men's locker room to get boy a change of clothes before meeting with the Professor…can't show up in torn and bloody rags after all. Jean chose to wait for them outside of the room while they did so, wondering what they were to talk about with her mentor.

On the way to the Professor's study…

After getting cleaned up and changed Hank and Jean escorted Ranma to the professors study, making idle chit chat on the way.

"Any ideas on what the Professor wishes to speak of Doctor McCoy?" Jean respectfully asks while Ranma listened in.

"Many but none conclusive my dear, although I would guess it may revolved on Ranma and his unique circumstances." The blue furred scientist replies with a nod towards their newest student.

"I guess that make sense, I wonder if it is about my powers or about the psycho." He ended with a hard glare.

Jean for some reason disliked seeing that look on his face, she guesses it was because of how relax and pleasant he was normally when with them instead. So with that in mind she chose to take one of his hands into one of her in reassurance, he look at her in surprise at that…although there was also some minute apprehension.

*Maybe he's worried his claws will shoot out.* She thinks since she does not know his past history with women in Nerima.

"It's going to be ok Ranma, he can't get to you here and even if he is crazy enough to do so we will stop him and whoever he brings."

Ranma really wanted to believe her, he really did but...

*No, best not to ruin it, she is trying to help afterall.* Ranma thinks as he gives her a nod. When the time came to face Sinister he would make sure he would never hurt anyone ever again.

Soon they reached the study and found Charles seated behind his desk while Ororo was seated on chair on the right and Logan leaning on the desk, though he straightened when he saw his son.

Both father and son tensed at seeing one another while the others remained silent, this was something they need to work between themselves and only if asked would they offer counsel.

"Heard you got a bit rough up in the DR." Logan commented neutrally.

"…I've been through worse." His son replies in the same tone.

"Yeah, so have I…" Logan's hands clenched for a brief moment both at the memories of his past and the knowledge that his son went through something worse. He decided to give some lighter news to him.

"I called your Mom by the way." The feral mutant added in the end with a bit more cheer as he thought of her. From the way the boy's eyes light up it was a good move on his part.

"Is she ok?"

"Yeah, yeah she is, she misses you but is happy you made it to us." His father replied.

"I better send her my letter…my letter! I totally forgot about it!" Ranma chided himself for that minor mishap.

"Not to worry Mr. Gunshin, I have it right here and made sure no one pried into its contents." Charles replies as he pulls out the letter from his desk and hands over to the young man.

"Thanks Professor, I really appreciate this."

"No need Ranma, it would have been wrong to pry in your affairs without asking…" he spoke before extending a hand to a nearby couch "…please sit while we talk."

Both he and Jean sat on it while Hank took a seat next to Ororo since Logan made no move to do so.

"Now as you know Ranma in order to not arouse suspicions from your school we made up a cover story. Taking advantage of that I wish to ask you to helps us with a matter I feel is of the utmost importance."

"Sure Professor, what do you need?"

"As you all know I have been reading the journal and given the nature of the heinous experiment performed I feel the need to warn those who were mentioned in it. While I know one of them is out of reach and is relatively safe where he is, the others not part of the school are not." Charles explained in utmost seriousness.

The others silently agreed with him that the people should be warned of Sinister and his cadre of killers.

"Does that mean you plan to offer them a place with us Professor?" Jean asked in curiosity.

"That is one of my intentions and the reason I wish for you to come Jean, however the choice will remain theirs, however what I ask of you Ranma is if you will accompany us to explain the nature of threat."

"…yes I will Professor Xavier, my code tells me I should do everything I can to help those who don't know of this murderous monster who watches them from the shadows." Ranma tone left it clear he was on board 100% with the plan.

"Thank you Ranma, I know it will be difficult for you to tell them of the horrors you faced but as you said there is innocent people who need to know." Ranma could hear the gratitude in the elder man's voice as he spoke to him. He silently agreed that it would not be pleasant but his code demanded he do what he could to defend innocents.

"So where will we go to first Professor?" The red head asks kindly, glad to see they were starting to make plans and such for this new foe they were facing.

"Chicago will be first to meet with one Lorna Dane and then we fly to England to meet with Elizabeth Braddock." Her mentor replies openly while sending her a telepathic message.

*The first is one who can manipulate magnetic fields while the other is telepathic as well as telekinetic Jean, keep the first to yourself though as there is more to her than I can explain right now.*

*Ok if you say so Professor.* She sent back.

Charles was about to speak again when Logan mentally spoke to him.

*We got one more stop to make Chuck before coming back, I arranged for Ranma's immediate family to be able to live here to keep them safe. Just got to pick them up and bring'em.*

*Good thinking old friend, I'm sure your son will appreciate having them close to ensure they're safety. Perhaps they can even help us achieve our goal of coexistence since I assume they would have no problem living with our gifted students.*

*No worries there Chuck, I can vouch for 'em.* the man replied the founder of the school.

All of this conversation took mere moments to the outside world as the Professor addressed a next topic without giving away what he spoke of with Logan.

"There is another thing we must speak off that is related to this topic, aside from warning and possibly bringing the women mentioned. As you all know aside from some of our members others were chosen and used to give Ranma his unwarranted enhancements for lack of a better term." He says delicately so as not to offend the teen though he made a note of how he tensed and made a note to prioritize therapy sessions first and foremost.

At this point Ranma felt a shift in the air from the group of adults, his father had a sour look on his face, Ororo had a frown and Hank looked tense. He looked to Jean who shared a confused look with him before turning back towards her mentor.

"So we will be bringing him in on this Charles?" The Nubian born woman asks with some hesitance.

Charles could not blame her for it, he already knew how the man would react but…he was his friend, regardless of their differing ideologies he owed it to the man.

"Yes, yes we will inform Erik of what has transpired as I could not possible hide such a thing from him when his son was also affected." Charles grimly replies.

Jean was wide eyed when she realizes the implications being said here.

*Magneto's powers were used Professor!?*

*…yes Jean, he and his son Pietro were the donor's used.* He sent to his student feeling her worry grow at the news.

*But...*

*Please Jean, I know full well the dangers involved with telling him about what was done and of Ranma. But I must do this, if for no other reason because he can help us find this man.*

*…ok Professor, I'll trust you on this but I worry he may lash out at Ranma.*

"I feel like I'm missing something here." Ranma asked.

"My apologies Ranma, the reason we are acting this way is that one of the people whose DNA was used for this atrocious experiment is someone who we know will not take this news well."

Charles could see the question bubbling under the surface of the young man so he decided to elaborate.

"When I was younger and before the incident that paralyzed me I met a man who like me was gifted with great power due to his mutation. Unlike me however he had a dark past and yet despite this and our differing ideologies we formed a friendship." The Professor began looking to see if he had the young man's attention, seeing that he did he pushed forward.

"Now as I said he had a troubled past, you see Ranma he sadly lived during one of the world darkest time in our history, WWII to be precise so you can imagine what he saw and experienced during those terrible times would affect his views on humanity for many years to come."

Ranma gulped at that, he may not be a fan of history but even he had been taught just how bad things were during that time, what the Nazi's did and what his countrymen suffered in retaliation for attacking the Americans.

"Was…was he a soldier during the war?" He couldn't help but ask but also dreading the answer…he was right to do so by the sad look on the Professor's face.

"No Ranma, no Erik was… he was once a prisoner of the Nazi concentration camps. So as I said his views were colored by that terrible time, yet I felt I could help him see beyond the evil committed in that time and see that there was still hope for humanity and coexistence between humans and mutants was possible." His mind travelled back to those times when he and his old friend often debated and argued their points before continuing to enlighten the boy on who Erik was and soon became.

"He helped me found this school as well as find others with gifts, and for a time I believed he had finally found peace but as more and more of us came into being and saw us being exposed to the populace and the reactions of the people showed their fear, distrust and outright violence he chose to walk a different path. One where if the human race could not accept us then it would feel his wrath so as to prevent another holocaust, in one voice he declared "Never Again" never again would he see his people persecuted and hunted for who and what they were."

"He became known as Magneto and would be soon joined by others who either shared his cause of mutant supremacy, love for outright violence, similar agendas or as much as it pains me to say blackmail as you regretfully met the previous night we first came into contact with one another"

*So he's the boss of that long haired bastard and the blue skinned bitch.* Ranma thought venomously as he glared at the memory of being set on fire or how they taunted the Russian who did not want part of this war but was forced into it.

"Not to be rude Professor but I think your friend is pretty fu… messed up if he works with people like that and blackmail others to work for him, but I won't stop you if you want to tell him about Sinister just please don't ask me to make nice with him" The teen said grimly with a look that was mirrored by his father.

"I know Ranma and I do not blame you for how you feel nor will I ask you to forgive and forget given what you went through." Charles replies in understanding to his student while Jean gave the teen a reassuring smile, he could also sense her unease but trusted her mentor knew what he was doing.

"Well if we plan to tell him we better make sure nothing metallic is in range." Hank mentions while giving a discreet look to Logan.

"Let him try something Hank, gives me a reason to have more than words with him regarding sending his dogs after…" Logan trails off as he doesn't feel he has earned the right, in Ranma's eyes at least, his son so soon.

"Let us hope cool heads prevail Logan in the meantime we best prepare the best we can, now that is all for now unless anyone wishes to add something." The Professor openly asks before he sees Ranma raise his hand while wearing a somewhat embarrassed look.

"Um I hate to bring this up all of a sudden but it just hit me, what do we do about my schooling while on this trip? Cause I kinda promised my mom I would keep up with my studies." He says while fiddling with his ponytail in a nervous manner.

"Not to worry my young friend, I will join you in this trip to help both you and Jean keep up so as you both don't get behind your fellow classmates." Hank spoke as he was glad the young man wanted to keep up his studies.

"Oh cool, thanks Professor McCoy."

"I may not look like one but I am still a teacher and you are my student so no thanks are needed." He gave the teen a smile in reassurance that eases the boy's nerves.

"Then if that is all we all have things to do and preparations to make, Logan if you would kindly meet me in the garage we have a meeting to set up." Charles spoke and with that broke up the meeting so they could all get to work, much would need to be done.

Later at the Brotherhood's boarding house…

"Shit, you would think the punks would at least clean this dump." Logan says as he looks at the state of the Brotherhood's home.

Charles made no comment as he was more focused on the task in hand as he rang the doorbell.

A few moments later the door opened to reveal one Tabitha Smith who had been previously listening to music on her headphones, though her face morphed into one of surprise upon seeing the Professor.

"Professor!? What are you doing here?"

"Good afternoon Tabitha, how are you?" He asks warmly.

"Uh doing good Professor not many complaints, um you here for me?" The blonde asks her former teacher.

"No my dear though I am glad to hear you are well. However we are looking for Mystique or Pietro, can you tell us if either of them is here?" He asks kindly to the girl.

"Sure are Professor, let me get one for you…" she replies kindly before turning towards the house and taking a deep breath "…HEY SPEEDY GONZALEZ YOU GOT A VISITOR!"

*WOOSH!*

The silver haired mutant appeared looking quite irritated.

"I told you my name is not…what the hell!? What are you doing here old man?" He says as he looked ready for a fight, more so because of the growl Logan gave him at his blatant disrespect…of course Tabitha took matters into her own hands.

*WHAP!*

"Hey! Don't you give him any sass, now shut up and go get Ms. Blue, the professor wants to talk to you and her." The spunky blonde ordered.

Pietro looked ready to protest until she raised her hand with a small "time bomb" between her fingers. He recalled the last time he pushed her, needless to say he hadn't felt comfortable in the shower for quite some time.

With another burst of wind he dashed up to his father's 2IC and in less than two minutes he was back.

"She'll be right down." Was the only thing he says before dashing away.

"Nice work time bomb, keep'em on a tight leash on these punks." Logan gruffly compliments the former student.

"Well I did learn from the master." She smirks back at him before giving Charles gentle hug and saying goodbye with a smile.

Of course that good feeling didn't last as the woman they came to see made an appearance, she looked ready to pounce as she scowls at her visitors while Charles looks neutral and Logan looks ready to lunge at the drop of a hat.

"What do you want?" She spat wanting to get this over with.

"Hello Raven, I am here to make a request."

"Let me guess, you want us to back off the latest reject from Weapon X." She mocked while looking at Logan.

To the man's credit he only scowled and let off a growl but the claws remained in, Charles had requested he control his temper. No easy feat minds you but for the man he would do effort to hold in his anger.

"No but it would be much appreciated if you did not further antagonize the young man further because you have no idea what he has gone through." Charles calm visage remains but there was a clear undertone of seriousness that was present.

"Please Xavier, seeing what those foolish flatscans did to your bodyguard it doesn't take a genius to figure out what they did only they now he is younger and probably more messed up then daddy dearest there." The blue skinned mutant speaks out, once more taking a jab at Logan; she was wondering if he would confirm that he was the father of the boy.

"…it wasn't Weapon X Raven and quite frankly the horrors he suffered make them seem tame." Charles gravely replies while Logan jaw clenched hard while Raven now looked wide eyed at the news.

*What!? Not Weapon X? And there's something actually worse than that group of mutant hating bastards?*

"I'm listening." The woman now left her distain and let her professionalism to take over.

"I need you to arrange a meeting between Erik and my group, an unknown threat is targeting both groups with an insidious agenda and I cannot in good conscious let him remain in the dark." The Professor kept it brief because he knew Erik, he would bring her along because he couldn't afford not to.

"All right Xavier I will speak with Magneto but I will be there so keep your students in line, including your latest addition." The redhead replied with a neutral look that Charles nodded at before speaking.

"So long as you and yours do the same, make no mistake Raven, Mr. Gunshin has given me his word he won't throw the first punch but he will respond to any threat to his person after his ordeals, please make that very clear."

"I will pass it on; once I get a response I will get in contact with you."

"We are in agreement then, until then Raven." With that both men turned and left leaving the woman wonder just what had they stumbled into and how she may take advantage of it.

Still she would proceed cautiously on this, she had no idea what they put into that boy or what he was capable off, but if he became a threat she would find a way to eliminate him. With that thought in mind she went back inside to get in contact with her "partner" and then she would start planning contingencies in case things went sideways on them, because went it came to the X-men anything could and would happen.

To be continued…

A/N: Well as you can see we are getting some new characters in on the game, I will say that Lorna will not be a romantic interest for our former gender bent friend…Betsy is a possible since she is one of my favorites though I haven't decided if I go with Asian Betsy of British Betsy. FYI she and her Brother aren't twins, he will be the older brother to her that works with the British government like in the comic and yes he will have powers.

So when they get to Japan I know I want them to get into a fight but I haven't decided if it should be the Hand, Deathstrike and her Reavers or both, suggestions are welcome. The same with having either Sinister attack the meeting between Magneto and Xavier or have him infiltrate them by way of a Malice possessing Lorna (yeah that would be a nod towards both characters history).

And for those few curious, I will have Nodoka be there for those talks and she will have more than words for Magneto and his entourage about that stunt they pulled on her son, she isn't going to be a housewife here I can tell you that much.

…now for a rant, excessive swearing and spoilers, leave now or hold your peace (or is it piece?).

So I think we can agree, at least those of us who are veteran readers of Marvel Comics, that there is something terribly wrong with some aspects of it. Allow me to elaborate:

One, and biggest issue I feel, CW2…yeah as if the first one wasn't just as fucked up now we have a second one that is even more fucked up than the first. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, CW2 is about an Inhuman who is a precog, he sees terrible things happen and they do…sorta, so here's the rub Danvers is of the idea they should use him to prevent disasters before it happens and on the other side is Stark who says it isn't the real future but a possible one…basically it is the Marvel version of the Minority Report.

I mean the concept is interesting but the main storyline is just a wreck, I mean the side stories make more sense. But then again that is typical Bendis, no respect for cannon or storytelling, if you are a fan of his work I do not hold it against you but I just can't respect the man's work. I mean at this point we all know that Danvers is in the wrong here but it's like a complete and utter denial of reality, like it doesn't matter that the evidence shows she is wrong.

Two, they killed Bruce Banner…using Hawkeye no less! Banner was cured of the Hulk and that was thrown out the window in this stupid event and Barton ends up literally shooting him in the back of the head with an arrow. Rhodey is dead because they thought they could stop Thanos just because they knew where he would pop up…we all know for a fact that Thanos is a threat that demands you throw everything and everyone at him and hope someone puts him down.

Three, HydraCap dying at the hands of Miles Morales…Bullshit, complete and utter Bullshit. The kid would never do that and does anybody believe him? Nope! Danvers is but ready to take the precogs words as gospel and shove him into a deep dark hole.

Four, Clone saga under a new name…house of ideas? Yeah right.

Five, the current state of the X-men ,everything points to the fact that because Fox owns the X-men movie rights Disney is going to screw them over just like they screwed over the F4. I mean they are pushing the damn Inhumans to take their place while slowly killing of the X-men…WTF Disney!?. I mean seriously why should that have a factor in taking away one of the most well-known hero teams in the Marvel U? And it hate to say it but I think that in order to keep them they may do something stupid like make them Inhumans or worse kill them all off.

Folks, I know you are thinking I shouldn't takes this so seriously but the fact is that comics have helped me get through some difficult times in my life just as fanfiction did and now everything I loved about them is being destroyed in favor of big bucks. I know I am not alone in this, I just want the stories to be good again that's all, is that too much to ask for I ask you?
