: Chapter 12:

"I knew we couldn't trust her!" Raphael turned around and slammed his fist right through one of the TV screens, making Michelangelo shriek in horror. "I shouldn't have brought her back here! I should've known she would do anything to save her kid, even kidnap Denmark!" He clenched his head with his hands and ran his fingers down his face, leaving small red marks. "We should've read the signs! The way she hesitated when Den asked her if she was really ganna turn her over to that son of a…!" The sound of Raph's fist smashing the side table blocked out his choice word. The weak, wooden table smashed to shreds, leaving little splinters in Raphael's hands.

I stood frozen above the ground where my daughter's blood was soaked into the carpet. There was no evidence to go on; we had no idea if she was even dead or alive. No, I couldn't afford to think like that: Splinter decided to train her for a reason but either way, Panama was going to get a good beat down next time we saw her, girl or not. I don't know why but my body refused to shed a single tear even though the pain in my heart was equal to that of my emotions.

"How did that tiny girl manage to drag out a 100 pound turtle?" Mike said in a soft, distressed voice.

"I wish I knew Mikey, I wish I knew." Don pulled a first aid kit from the kitchen cabinet and used its contents to wrap up Raphael's bloody hand. "Hey…" He suddenly stopped and got down on he's knees.

"Don whatya doin?" Raph asked as Don reached his hand under the sofa and pulled out a large, bloody syringe.

"What is it Don?" I managed to get out.

"I think this is what panama used on Denmark."

"Oh thank God! I thought she got stabbed or something!" Mikey wiped his forehead and then looked at me. "Not to make it worse or anything!"

"Mike, sometimes yah just need to shut up." Raph pointed at the small turtle. "So Don, what was in that thing?" Donatello tossed the metal object around in his hands.

"This is tranquilizer syringe, but it's much too big to have held any tranquilizer I've ever heard of. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that Panama used some sort of anodyne with a mix of anesthetic." Don handed me the syringe.

"Then how come we didn't hear her screaming for help?" Mikey asked with widened eye making Don slap his hand over his face and sigh.

"Mikey, anesthetic knocks you out."

"Oh…I knew that." He simpered.

"So why is there so much blood?" Raph pondered.

"You see the size of that needle? That's meant to knock out a large 300 pound animal."

"Panama really wanted Denmark out." I handed back the syringe to Donatello and walked into the kitchen. "Don, is there any way we can track them? Find out where they're going?" He followed me and opened his laptop that had been sitting on the table.

"I could try and trace her cellphone but she hasn't called here in two years and I'm not sure it's in my database anymore." Don typed viciously on his keyboard. "I've have records up to 3/11/12."

"And it's 12/3/14." Raph joined us at the table along with Mike. "Man Don, I'm a bit surprised. For once you don't have the answers."

"I didn't say I didn't have the records did I?" He smirked and pulled up a page with the name Panama Louise, her address, and right on the other side, a clear phone number.

"Good work Don, now how do we trace it?" I asked him.

"Leave that, to me."

"Well hurry it up." Raph pulled put his Sais and spun them around his fingers. "I haven't used these babies in weeks and their dyin for some action."

My eyes slowly started to put together a blurry figure but the pain in my head was so real that it made me pass out all over again. Finally, after the third time trying, my eyes opened all the way but only to be blinded by a bright light. My arms and legs refused to move to my command, making me feel vulnerable in whatever world I was trapped in.

"Where am I?" I said to no one in particular. "Panama?" I lifted my head up and looked at my surroundings. My heart fell into my stomach as the hideous glow of a blue light engulfed my vision. Slowly inside of it, bubbles of material would rise and fall in no specific pattern.

"Someone help me!" I screamed as loud as I could while watching the bubbles dance around inside their colored prison. I was in my old room, and that stupid lamp was still here.

"Help!" I started to panic as I realized why my arms and legs weren't moving. I was strapped to my little bed with scarfs and to make it all worse, I was lying on my back, making it impossible for me to break free without hurting myself. I still tried, because that's what my dad or Splinter would have told me; keep trying until hope is lost.

I tried to pull my feet out from the loops by bending my ankle several different ways. The scarf started to rub against my skin and give it a burning sensation but I kept trying. After a few more aggravating minutes, I had one ankle free. The good thing about being a ninja female turtle was that you're extremely flexible! I brought my free leg up to my headboard, where my hands were tied, and used my two toes to jimmy the knot that the scarfs were tied in. In less time than before, my left hand was free and I used it to release my remaining arm and leg. I jumped off that stupid bed like it was on fire and headed straight for the door. I grabbed the knob with both hands and tried to pull it open.

"Oh damn." I pulled harder and even put one leg up on the wall for support but it wouldn't open. "No no no!" I slammed my fist against it and took a step back. This wasn't happening! How was I supposed to…

I turned my body around and looked towards the ceiling. My heart immediately stopped and I fell onto the floor and landed on my knees. The window was boarded up.

"Dad! Please help me! I'm so scared…" With no hope left, I lied down on the floor and tucked my knees up to my chest. Slowly, the ground beneath me would be soaked with my tears and the last chances I had left for escape.

::

I wasn't sure how much time had passed but it was enough for me to jump up off the floor and look directly into the eyes of the intruder.

"Hey sweetheart."

"YOU!" I held my hands out I front of me and slammed them against his chest, knocking him back into the wall. "Let me go!"

He stood up and straightened his black jacket. "Don't worry; you'll be out of here in no time. Your mom and I are taking you far away. That way we can start over and be a family again." When he stepped into the blue light of the lamp, I could see what five years of my freedom had done to him. He looked like he aged 30 years and it appears he had taken up drinking as well, considering the stench of vomit and beer made me want to pass out on the floor again. If you're asking how I know what beer smells like, ask uncle Raph, he came home plenty of times smelling just like it.

"I already have a family." I tried to hold back my gag reflex as he stepped closer to me.

"I see you escaped my efforts to contain you. I guess we will have to take better precautions when transporting you."

"You're insane! I'm not going anywhere except home! My home, with my dad!" I was stepping so far back away from him that I tripped on the end of my bed and fell onto it.

"You wanna know where we're going baby?" He slapped his hand on my face and squeezed my cheek. "We're leaving the county, plane leaves in 2 hours."

"NO!" I used my feet to kick him right in the stomach, sending him flying into my dresser and knocking the lava lamp onto the floor. Now it was pitch black, thankfully, it's a ninja's best friend. I leaped behind the bed and crawled underneath it so when he switched on the light, I was nowhere to be found.

"You can't hide Denmark, there's nowhere to run to." I watched as his boots walked across the wood floor, all the way around my bed and back. I had to cover my mouth with my hands to keep me from crying out.

"I know you're in here, that's all I need to know. There's no way out." He gave a sickening, malevolent laugh and then threw a small, blue book onto the floor. When I heard the door close and lock behind him, I slowly crawled out from under the bed and grabbed the object. It was a passport, my passport. I opened it up and read the seal: "Denmark Allison Louise. Destination:" I shut my eyes as I read our destination. I screamed as loud as I could and threw it across the room, right at the door.

I hoped Panama was happy. I hoped putting me back into this maniacs clutches was really worth it. If you didn't get my sarcasm just then, never mind, I'm sure you did. If I ever saw that good for nothing "sister" of mine again, I'll make sure she never forgets what she did to me!

::

"Looks like Panamas' inside." Don said while removing his night vision goggles. We had split up from Raph and Mikey once we left the surface and decided to leave our costumes behind. While they went to Helmuth's apartment to look for Denmark, we would check Susan's house and find Panama. I originally said that Raph and I would go find my daughter, considering…she's my daughter, but for the first time since I could remember, all three of my brothers spoke out against me. They didn't want me to go since they wanted Helmuth in one piece for capturing. I had to admit that they were right in some crazy messed up way. Truth is though; Helmuth and Panama were both going to be skewed by my blades so I consider this, a win win.

"Ok let's go." I pulled out my katana and went to leap off the roof but only to have Donatello grab my arm and stop me. "I know you're not keeping me from saving my daughter, are you?"

"You killing Panama isn't going to save your daughter!" I hated it when he was right.

"I wasn't going to kill her!" He tilted his head and gave me a look. "I wasn't!"

"Remember, we need to get her to talk first, find out any information that could help out Raph and Mikey." He let my arm go once I pulled away. Even though I hated him right now for stopping me, if it wasn't for him I probably would have gone out on a killing rampage.

"Alright…" I sheathed my swords and jumped down the fire escape. It was still dark outside, yet small rays of the sun began to peek up over the horizon. I carefully crossed the street and hid in the ally close to Susan's house. Once Donnie joined me, we walked out and up to the steps.

"Would you like to do the honors?" Don asked me. I grinned and walked up to the door and pressed the tiny doorbell. It sounded like there was a scuffle on the inside but eventually, someone walked up to the door and opened it.

"Oh!" It was Wilbur. "Boys, listen to me…"

I had a feeling Panama told him the whole story since he was reluctant to let us inside.

"Where's Panama." I silenced him and forwarded the question.

"Do you wish to speak to her?"

"I understand your protecting your niece, but my daughter's life is at stake here." I respected Wilbur and didn't wish to sound disrespectful, but I didn't have time to sit here and fight back and forth. "I need to talk to her, now."

"Come in." He opened the door all the way and let Don and I in. Immediately, Panama came from downstairs looking furious.

"Uncle, why did you let them in?!"

"I understand my niece is in danger? You didn't tell me the whole story did you?" Wilbur crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the young girl on the stairs.

"Uncle, I…"

"Yeah Panama, why don't you tell him the whole story? Like how you kidnapped my daughter in order to save your own!" Don held my arm down when I began to reach for my katana. I growled and used every bone in my body to keep me from attacking her.

"Panama, you didn't…" Wilbur looked shocked and stepped out from between me and his niece. "He has every right to do whatever he wants. I want no part of this." The old man slowly walked down the hall and into the kitchen.

"Leo…please!"

I shook off my brother and grabbed Panama. She fell down on the stairs and I positioned myself over her to keep her from escaping.

"You have 5 seconds to tell me…"

"Mommy?" A small voice emerged from the top of the stairs, making Panama try to turn over and face it.

"Baby, everything is ok. Go back to bed."

I looked up the stairs to the small girl that was standing there holding a stuffed doll. She had long, curly blonde hair and beautiful, striking blue eyes. She slowly began to walk down the stairs while keeping her gaze on me. When she reached us, she tilted her head and looked at Donatello.

"Who are you?" She sounded just like Denmark when she was the same age.

"Umm…" I stood up off of Panama and allowed them to reunite.

"You have every right to hate me Leo." She grabbed Cody and held her close. "I almost killed myself last night from all the guilt I had, my daughter is the only reason I'm still here."

"Then redeem yourself." Don stepped in. "Tell us where Denmark is."

"Mommy who's Denmark?" Cody asked.

"She's mommy's sister and your aunt."

"Panama, you can give her a background story later. Den is running out of time." I grabbed her shoulder and faced her towards me.

"She's at our old apartment, but I don't think she'll be there for much longer." Tears swelled into her eyes and raced down her cheeks.

"What do you mean?!" I gave her a little nudge.

"It's Helmuth, he's taking her back to Germany."
