More shenanigans from our dear guardian of fun. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own nothing
At first, Jackson Overland would have thought that a double date with his friends Bunny and Tooth and his girlfriend Emily was not a good idea. Swimming had never been his forte, especially thanks to the incident on a frozen pond when he was younger and he had fall into the icy water.
He had felt so cold and scared, he lost conciousness almost immediately and when he opened up his eyes he had found himself in a hospital room with his mother and sister Emma sleeping on the chair next to his bed. The doctor had told him that he had been literally dead for at least the whole four minutes it took to get him out of the water and perform CPR on him.
After that, he had kept away from all large bodies of water. But then something happened. Emily happened. She had patiently taught him how to swim and hold his breath. It had take a lot of time till he was able to swim across the pool without panicking, but he had to admit that when she first proposed to teach him he had never imagined he would get so far.
He wasn't quite sure why he had accepted it. Maybe because she had given him that special smile that made it almost impossible to say 'no' to her, or that he felt a little more brave when she held his hand. Granted, he was also dying to see her in a bikini.
So here he was, at the local swimming pool watching Emily at the shallow end of the pool talking with Thiana.
As he looked at her, his mischiveous nature kicked in.
Discretely, so Emily wouldn't notice, he walked to the one meter diving board.
Taking a deep breath, he dived in and started swimming underneath the water. He wasn' scared anymore of being underwater, Emily had taught him to overcome it.
He held his breath just fine, not daring to come out in case Emily was watching. Jack wanted to take her by surprise.
When he was close enough, in one fluid, elegant, graceful, sexy movement, he lifted his target out of the swimming pool.
This had written 'good idea' all over it. 'Jackson Overland, you sexy motherflipper' he congratulated himself.
Now, as he was still in that position he saw from the corner of his eye he had a problem that needs to be addressed. His girlfriend...was about fifteen feet away, talking to Bunny and Thiana before his dramatic entrance.
What he had done in one fluid, elegant, graceful, very very sexy movement...He had lifted an unknowing, unsuspecting, completely unprepared...eight-year-old boy.
He was looking down at Jack and viceversa, and Jack could feel all the stares being directed mainly towards him. Especially the ones of his friends and girlfriend. 'Probably ex-girlfriend after this'. A palpable sense of awkwardness settled in.
The boy continued to stare at him, twitching slightly.
'Hang on...He's...he's Jamie Bennett. His mom's friends with mine. I went to his christening'.
But still, that was 7 years ago and he had never seen him much again. It certainly didn't qualify Jack to lift him up unannounced in a public swimming pool. Probably not. Definitely not.
Jack's mind raced.'How do you get out of this with at least a shred of dignity intact?' There was a limited number of options one can have when in a situation like this.
That's when, as his last resource, he opened his mouth and said: "Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba!"
That's when Jaime looked down at him and laughed. Thankfully for Jack, the tension dissipated and the viewers joined on the laughter.
He put the child down, ruffled his hair, and went to the border of the pool Emily was sitting, waiting for him.
The girl tried to hold back her laughter. "I'm glad you have taken what I taught you into practice."
He leaned against her, allowing her to drove him close with a hug and rolling his eyes.
Her face almost hurt from trying to stop grinning."What you tried to do was very sweet, but try to calculate it better next time"
He chuckled a little. If it wasn't because he still felt embarrassed, he had to admit it all had been hilarious.
"I'm very proud of you, Jack." She whispered into his ear before kissing him.
Maybe, going on a date to the local swimming pool hadn't been such a bad idea.
Oh Jack, you're always trying to impress.
Please R&R and lets rejoice in the feels xD
