When you hear Tim McGraw,

I hope you think of me

~Taylor Swift

Cammie glanced up nervously into his eyes, confused by his uptight behavior.

"Sure" she replied, leaning most of her weight on one crutch. "What's up?"

"What class are you in right now?" He asked, dodging her question.

"Calculus" Cammie replied, not bothering to hide the disgust in her voice. Her teacher was dull and the material came so easily to her.

Then, Zach flashed her a crooked smile and she could see the mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Wanna get out of here?"

Cammie couldn't help but nod and agree, allowing him to wrap an arm around her waist as they slid out a side door of the school, not checking to see if anyone was watching.

There was something about skipping school with Zach that made Cammie want to giggle uncontrollably. She had never done anything bad in her entire life, and it was exciting to "take a walk on the wild side."

He steered her across the parking lot to where his shiny black BMW was waiting.

"You didn't drive with everyone else?" Cammie questioned as Zach unlocked the car. He shook his head and opened her door for her as she placed her crutches in the back seat. She then turned and try to hop into the seat, but struggled with her broken ankle. Zach quickly leaned down and picked her up, sliding her onto the smooth leather seat. He shut her door for her and went around to the drivers side stepping in quickly and starting the car.

"So" Cammie started, "are you gonna tell me where we're going?"

"What would be the fun in that?" Zach replied cheekily.

"Why is it always such a secret?" Cammie pressed.

"Don't you trust me?"

"No."

"I'm hurt, really Cammie I thought we were closer than that."

Cammie rolled her eyes. "Can't you just tell me where we are going for once?"

"That's not how a kidnapping works."

"Oh, so now I'm being kidnapped?"

He just smirked at her in response.

Minutes later they pulled down an old, bumpy dirt road and Zach pulled the car over.

Cammie glanced around, taking in the thickly wooded surroundings.

"I thought you were joking about kidnapping me." Cammie said.

"Let's go prisoner" Zach said playfully as he pulled her out of the car.

She giggled, and then put her hands in her hips.

"Would you please tell me what we're doing?"

"Cammie, relax, we're just going on a date."

"This is the weirdest date I've ever been on." Cammie said, glancing at the thick woods.

"Alright, well you can pick the next one if you think you can do better."

"Who says there's gonna be a next one?" Cammie teased, grinning.

"Let's go Morgan." Zach said as he grabbed her hand roughly, tugging her along behind him towards the woods. They didn't seem to be following any predetermined path, and twice they had to turn around and retrace their steps. It was getting very hot in her sweater and leggings, and she contemplated stripping down to her tank top. It was an unusually hot fall day, it felt like it could've easily been an early August summer day, and Cammie was growing tired and irritable, questioning her decision to skip school. Their friends were probably worried sick.

Right before Cammie could start complaining, Zach stopped as they reached a clearing. Cammie caught up to stand next to him and peered down the clearing.

In front of them was a picturesque waterfall that seemed to be protected from all human contact. The water rumbled down into a round spring, surrounded by beautiful flowers and meadowy grass. It was stunning-there were no words that could accurately capture its beauty.

Cammie stood there, speechless, as Zach watched her reaction.

"It's nice, right?" He asked with a pensive smile.

"That's kind of a huge understatement."

"Grant and I found this place one summer when we were 12. We tried to look for it again, but never could find it."

"It's perfect." Cammie replied, leaning against Zach.

He grinned mischievously down at her. "So, are you going to jump down the waterfall or am I going to have to throw you?"

She backed away from him, a frown spreading across her face. "You wouldn't dare."

"Would I?" He responded with a smirk. He reached behind his head and tugged off his tshirt leaving him bare chested. He then proceeded to strip down to just his shorts, his tanned skin glowing. Cammie glared again.

"If you think I'm going to strip down into my underwear and jump down a waterfall with you, you're insane."

"Uh, uh, uh, Cammie, I don't think you understand how being kidnapped works. You have to do whatever I say. Now c'mere." He said, gesturing to her with his arms.

Cammie scowled, placing both hands on her hips, refusing to move an inch. Zach sighed, seeming to decide on a different tactic. He took a step forward, and she took one back. This continued until Cammie backed into a tree and Zach closed the space between them. They were inches apart, their breaths mingling. Zach reached up and fiddled with a strand of her golden blonde hair.

"Cammie, don't you trust me?" He asked quietly, pleading with her from under his long eyelashes.

"Of course I trust you" Cammie replied, trying not to let him distract her.

"Then can you do this one small thing for me...please?" He asked, staring at her with puppy dog eyes.

Cammie tried to think clearly, but her head was muddled. She found herself nodding slowly and mumbling "okay."

Zach grinned excitedly, encasing her hand with his and pulling her towards the falls. Cammie peered over the edge, looking down at the daunting drop. There was no way she could jump, even if she wanted too.

She looked at Zach, who seemed to have read her expression. He gently picked her up bridle-style.

"Well go together, okay?"

Cammie just nodded in response, burying her face in Zach's chest and wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.

"On three...one...two...three!" He yelled, jumping into the falls.

Cammie couldn't help the scream that escaped her lips as they went rushing down, the water spraying them from all angles. They landed in the he water with a splash, Zach's arms staying wrapped around her until they surfaced.

Cammie laughed loudly, loving the adrenaline rush that had shot through her body. Zach laughed too, swimming back towards the waterfall, calling for Cammie to follow him. She obliged, swimming through the waterfall to where Zach was now sitting underneath. There was a cave carved behind the falls, with enough room for two people to sit. Cammie climbed up next to him, peeling off her soaked sweater so she just sat in a skimpy tank top.

"Beautiful." Zach said, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

"It is." Cammie agreed, marveling nature's work.

"No, not the falls. You. Most beautiful girl I've ever seen."

Cammie looked at him, shocked. He turned, and he gently tipped two of his fingers under her chin, tilting her face up to his. He leaned down painstakingly slow and ever so gently pressed his lips to hers, using his other hand to cup her cheek. Cammie responded immediately, pressing her lips against his mouth and reaching around his neck to play with his hair.

The kiss lasted for a long time, neither of them seemed willing to break contact. Slowly, Zach began to pull away, leaning his forehead against hers, and staring into her big blue eyes. The kiss was far from that of a fairy tale. Cammie's clothes were completely soaked and her makeup was smudged. Zach's wet hair was plastered to his forehead and dirt smudged his body from their hike. No, the kiss wasn't from a fairy tale, but it was real. And for them, in that moment, it was perfect.

Cammie smiled, looking into Zach's eyes. Everything felt right.

Zach returned the look, a boyish smile crossing his face as he leaned down and kissed her again, this time on the tip of her nose.

Cammie was the first to break the silence. "Well that was-"

"Amazing, incredible, best kiss you've ever had?" Zach interrupted

"-Nice." Cammie finished, a grin forming on her lips.

Zach rolled his eyes, turning his attention to the goosebumps forming on her arms.

"Okay, out of the water with you." Zach said, tugging her out from their perch behind the falls.

They waded through the water off towards the shore, climbing out into the warm grass. Cammie flopped down in the grass, letting the sun warm her and dry off her wet body. Moments after, Zach wordlessly joined her. They lay there in a comfortable silence, just enjoying each other's presence. After a while, Cammie spoke.

"Zach?"

"Hmm?" He responded.

"What does this mean?" Cammie asked, her big blue eyes wide and innocent.

"What do you want it to mean?" Zach countered, looking into her eyes.

"I don't know..." She admitted, casting her eyes down.

"How about you be my girlfriend?"

Cammie smiled her million-dollar smile and nodded.

"Yes." She said simply. "How about it."

"C'mere cutie." Zach said, pulling her onto his lap. Their faces were mere inches apart, and Zach reached up and tucked a flower behind her ear. She was glowing, loving Zach's uncharacteristically affectionate side. He stared into her eyes for a moment before leaning down and kissing her passionately.

Before the kiss could deepen, Zach pulled back. "We better be heading back, we've both got practice." He said.

Cammie got up reluctantly, wishing they could stay out there forever. She peeled off her soaked tank top, standing there in just her bra. Zach handed her his tshirt, which she pulled on. It came down mid thigh, looking more like a dress than a shirt.

Cammie laughed, before looking up at Zach. "Thank you."

"Anytime, cutie." He replied.

Their hands entwined on their own accord as they made their way back through the woods.
