A/N: Okay so here is the final chapter! (I told you guys I'd have it finished before the new year.) I'm excited for many reasons, one being that I've finally finished one of my stories even though I haven't kept up with it as well as I would have liked to. Anyways, here's the mushy gushy final chapter before I talk your eyes off. Enjoy!

Hardly recognizing the woman that stares back at me, I stared at myself in the mirror. My mid-back length, brown hair fell in loose curls that had taken all morning to control. A thin piece of fabric held about an inch from my eyes and every now and again would gently brush against my nose, and my great grandmother's pearl necklace hung around my neck. Finally, I looked down at the white, sweetheart, princess-like dress that clung to my body. For two weeks, I would try this dress on at night once everyone had gone to bed and today would be the last day I ever wore it.

"You ready?" my sister asks as she walks in wearing her jade, crinkle chiffon halter bridesmaid dress. "Oh, Ray, you look beautiful," she almost squeaks out.

"Amanda, please don't cry," I said as I turns away from the mirror to face her. "You're going to make me cry!"

"Okay, okay. I'm done. I doubt Billy would be too happy if you came out crying." Amanda gave me a small smile as she plays with the veil for a second to distract herself.

"God, Amanda, I'm nervous."

"Don't be. You love him and he loves you. There's no doubting it."

A knock came to the door and I look at Amanda confused. "Rachel, I have something for you." It was Alan's voice that came from the other side of the door.

Open it, I mouth to my sister and she nods before walking to the door and cracking it open.

"Billy wanted me to give this frilly thing to her," I heard Alan tell my sister and my eyes widen in shock. The only frilly thing he could possibly be talking about is a garter and I held back my laughter at this realization.

Amanda took the garter from Alan and quickly shut the door after mumbling a thank you. Once she turns back to me I could see the amusement in her eyes. "I've never seen him look so distraught," she laughs out and tosses the garter to me.

"It's pretty," I said as I sat on the chair to put the piece of fabric on my leg. It was white with a thin strip of jade fabric with a string of pearls loosely sewed in the middle of the garter. "I wonder who helped him pick this out."

"Alright, now that you have your old, new, and blue, I think it's time we get this thing started," Amanda said calmly as she grabs our bouquets and waits by the door.

As Canon in D played from behind the closed double doors of the church my stomach began to turn in excitement. Once the doors opened, I was overwhelmed with the sight of all the people that resided in the pew. Finally I looked down the aisle to find my fiancé, my soon to be husband, standing at the alter starring back at me.

"Rachel is definitely not the easiest person to get along with all the time, but with all that has happened since Billy and Rachel met, I know that Billy can handle her," Amanda had begun her maid of honor speech. "I know that the two of you will be very happy together and I'm very glad to say that you both are a part of my family." My eyes began to water thinking about Amanda's words. It hurt to think of all the time we fought and the periods of time we would go without talking to each other. "Okay, so before I start crying, I think it's time to hand over the mic to Alan."

Alan walks up to the stage that had been temporarily placed in Amanda's back yard for the reception. "Thank you, Amanda. Billy started out as just another student of mine, but despite the age difference he's become a decent friend. He doesn't always have the best of plans, but he has a good heart. So, Rachel, that's one thing you should always remember in your life together. Good luck to you both."

Billy tightened his grip on my hand for one moment and got up and made his way to the stage. "I guess it's my turn. First I just want to thank you all for joining us in our ceremony. It means a lot to us both that all of you came." He paused for a moment and stared at me. "Rachel, when we first met, I know you thought that I was an arrogant idiot, but being stranded on that island together was probably the best thing that happened to us. If it weren't for that I wouldn't be able to say that I get to spend the rest of my life with my other half. I love you, Rachel."

After Billy finished, I was choked up. I never really thought about how the island brought us together or even where I'd be if that event didn't happen. Billy came back to our table and took his seat beside me. "You still are an arrogant idiot," I laughed out and kissed him.

THE END

A/N: Okay so there it is! I would like to say thank you to all of my devoted readers and especially all of my reviewers. You guys were my motivation to keep this going and finally be able to finish it. It did take me a while to finish it, but there has been some bumps in the road and that is to be expected. I hope you all have enjoyed all that I have written and will continue to follow me because I do hope to start up another story that may follow the books or possibly the movies (haven't decided on that one yet). But again, thank you very much and a very happy New Year to you all!

JJ-Jefferu: AWW THAT WAS SUCH A MUSHY ENDING! Though I have to say this was my favorite part of the chapter: "Billy wanted me to give this frilly thing to her," I heard Alan tell my sister and my eyes widen in shock. The only frilly thing he could possibly be talking about is a garter and I held back my laughter at this realization.
