Hey everyone! Merry Christmas (although it is a little late but anyways...) I got around to posting the next chapter!
WHO'S EXCITED?
I know I am too hear what everyone has to say that they've waited patiently for!
So here it is!
Time to get blown away...
*Four*
I was starting to get sick and tired of the science teacher being such a pain. I watched as Tris was getting yelled at for something so completely...stupid. I mean not paying attention. We all don't pay attention sometimes. He told everyone to write down what he said. I couldn't. I couldn't with that nagging feeling that he yelled at Tris and remind me of my past.I simply can't bring myself to write down anything that he said. The teacher begins to start going over our notes. I watch as Tris keeps writing everything down. As if I want to protect her, in some way, shape, or form. She seems more braver than anyone I've ever known in my whole life. So much braver than me. I was so lost in thought that I almost didn't hear the bell ring to signal that class was over.
The weekend was going to begin. Finally. I'll get to start living with Zeke and Uriah - since all my things were finally put in the spare room in their apartment. I come up to Tris. Mustering up the courage to be brave and ask her a question. She turns around quickly and bumps into me. "Oh...hey." I raise an eyebrow and carefully help her up. "Um...Can I walk you home?" I ask the question that was bugging me since the last bell rang. My voice sounding calm. She nods and we begin to walk.
I notice she seems to be looking at the trees. The falling of the amber colored leaves. In different shapes. Her grey blue eyes look at my deep blue ones. "How's living with Zeke and Uriah?" We are halfway to her house when we stop in front of a beautiful house with a beautiful garden. No hint of any leaves. "I just got all my things in their house two days ago. They've been my friends since I was 6 so they're good." Tris smiles then turns around for a second then turns back around. I do something bold. Something I've never thought I'd do. I lean in close then closer to her face. A car thinks but I ignore it and I finally close the distance. I kiss her. She kisses then she runs to her house that isn't far away. The car horn honks again. I turn around. Seeing Zeke and Uriah with big toothy grins on their faces. I give them both a hard glare. "What are you staring at me for?" Zeke just laughs then made a motion for me to get in the car. "So...you and Tris Prior, huh? Wait until her dad finds out." Uriah says with a stifled laugh as I get in and close the door.
I can't believe Uriah just asked me that. I mean if they saw me kiss her then they would think I would like her after months being her friend and getting too know the quiet yet strong and brave girl I've come too know...
And love...
