I'm outside Killer. Ready when you are - Seb
Blaine chucked his phone into the front pocket of his backpack and swung the bag over his shoulder. He quickly glanced around the room to ensure that he had everything he could possibly need. Sebastian had yet to inform him of their plans for the day, so that had left Blaine to pack practically anything. Sebastian had informed him that what they were going to do wasn't illegal, however, Blaine wasn't too sure whether he could trust that knowledge.
Blaine quickly exited his room. He called "Bye..." to his father who was sat in his office working on some papers. His mother had gone out with some friends. Blaine closed the large oak front door behind and spun around to come face to face with Sebastian's Audi. Sebastian was leaning against the bonnet, a pair of dark sunglasses perched on top of his head. Blaine distractedly thought that Sebastian had never looked better and had never looked more casual. He was wearing a light blue polo shirt and cream shorts with light canvas shoes adorning his feet.
"Good morning Killer..."
Blaine shook himself out the trance he had fallen under when he had first seen Sebastian, "Hey...are you gonna tell me what we are doing yet?"
Sebastian smiled and gestured towards the car, "Nope...just get in the car Killer...I promised it wasn't anything illegal..."
Blaine rolled his eyes and climbed into the passenger seat of Sebastian's Audi. Blaine had never been inside of Sebastian's car before, yet he wasn't too surprised by the cleanliness of the thing. The dashboard seemed to be polished to perfection and there wasn't even a hint of mess on the backseat. It was a stark contrast to Kurt's car which had always a chaotic mess. This was more like Blaine's car which was constantly in a pristine condition, however, Blaine's car did have some semblance of his personality.
Blaine glanced at Sebastian and he drove down the driveway, "Your car is...very neat..."
Sebastian shrugged, "I don't actually drive it that often...we have a driver and I tend to take advantage of that probably more than I should..."
Blaine just nodded. The concept of having a driver or any other form of staff was not uncommon to Blaine. While Blaine's mother owned the chain of coffee shops, his father came from old money. His paternal Grandparents were still very rich and they knew it. However, the two had accepted Blaine when he had told them he was gay and had been driving forces in getting Blaine and his father to re-build their relationship. Therefore, Blaine was well used to the concept of having 'staff' to cater to your every need. In fact the Anderson's had a chef, three maids and a driver themselves.
This was a fact that had always puzzled Kurt. Kurt had never been able to understand the reason for having people to cook for you and clean for you, especially if you could do it yourself. It had caused tension between the pair when Kurt had come to visit and that was why Blaine tended to visit Kurt in Lima.
Blaine stared out of the window and watched as the scenery rolled by. The only thing that Blaine figured was that they were heading out of Westerville. There was no conversation between the pair yet it was not an uncomfortable silence. Sebastian kept glancing across at Blaine who was staring intently out of the window. When Santana had called informing him of Blaine and Kurt's break up, Sebastian had been elated for a brief moment before concern for the curly-haired former warbler took over.
Sebastian glanced at Blaine one final time before pulling into the parking lot. Blaine glanced up when the car came to a stop. Sebastian gestured wordlessly for Blaine to get out of the car. Blaine rolled his eyes but did as was asked.
"Is like some Mafia hit thing?"
Sebastian laughed and shook his head, "Nah...come on..."
Sebastian led Blaine up a steep flight of stairs and Blaine was surprised to find that people were passing him, laughing and joking about how it was all so much fun. They reached the top of the stairs and Sebastian pulled out a blind fold.
"You have got to be kidding...Seb...I am not wearing that thing!"
"Do you trust me Killer?"
"Absolutely..." Blaine said without a pause for thought. Sebastian raised and eyebrow at him, Blaine sighed and moved forward allowing Sebastian to tie a blind fold around his eyes. Blaine felt a pair of hands carefully guiding him and he felt himself being placed and secured into some type of harness. Then he felt the blind fold being removed and he was met by Sebastian's smiling face.
"Now don't freak out Killer..."
And then Blaine felt a gentle push to the chest. And he was falling.
Falling.
Falling.
Stop.
Bounce up.
Down.
Hang.
"SEBASTIAN SMYTHE!"
Sebastian in response just chuckled and leaned over the metal railings, "You say something Killer?"
"YOU BROUGHT ME BUNGEE-JUMPING!"
"Having fun Killer?"
Blaine didn't bother to dignify the question with a response. Her felt himself being carefully hoisted back up to the top where Sebastian was waiting. Once he was up there he was carefully pulled far back from the ledge by two of the assistants. They pulled him out of the harness that he had been strapped into and released their hold on him. This only caused Blaine to stumble. His legs were shaking and were not going to support him at that moment. Sebastian moved forward quickly catching Blaine's weight.
"You going to be okay getting him down?"
Sebastian nodded in response to one of the assistants, "Yeah...we'll be fine...come on Killer..."
Sebastian managed to get Blaine down two of the flights of steps and to a bench that was on the platform. Sebastian carefully placed Blaine down on the bench and sat down at the side of him.
"You okay Killer?"
Blaine just turned and stared at him. However, a shaky smile soon appeared on his face,"Ye...Yeah...why the hell did you make me do that Smythe?"
Sebastian rolled his eyes at the use of his last name, "Kurt was safe...you've been playing things safe...I thought that you needed to learn to take risks...and...are you going to tell me it wasn't fun?"
"Santana is going to kill you when she finds out...and I need coffee..."
Sebastian smirked at the avoidance of the question. He knew that Blaine had enjoyed it. He also knew that Blaine would never admit to enjoying it.
"Okay Killer...coffee it is...you just name the place..."
"The Holiday Club on the Westerville high street..."
Sebastian glanced at Blaine, "That's a change from the norm...is this taking risks thing in full affect?"
Blaine smirked, "Nope..."
About an hour later (Blaine hadn't realized they had driven so far to get to the bungee-jumping site) Sebastian pulled his car into a parking space that was free outside. Blaine didn't wait for Sebastian to get out of the car, he just headed straight inside. Sebastian followed amused by his friends actions. However, his amusement turned to confusion when he realized that the barista's already knew Blaine and had only asked for Sebastian's order. Once placing his order and moving to get his wallet, one of the barista's shook their head,
"On the house..."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow but didn't question the action. Instead he joined Blaine in the booth in the corner of the coffee shop. Sebastian noted that this place was busy with excited chatter criss-crossing across the shop. He guessed that many of these were regulars. Sebastian took in the worn copies of the books and the small stage with piano in one corner.
"Okay Killer...how did you know about this place?"
Blaine blushed and looked down at the table, "Er...it was my Grandmothers...I inherited when she died although it is under my moms control until I'm 21...my mom used this shop to start up her own chain...if you look at the pictures on the walls you'll find pictures of the whole Anderson family..."
Sebastian stared at Blaine in shock, "And just why...if you own this place...do you go to the Lima Bean?"
Blaine shrugged, "Kurt liked it...and it's on my commute..."
Sebastian rolled his eyes. As soon as his coffee was placed on the table he took a sip. He sighed and sunk back into the seat. Blaine eyed him a small smile on his face.
"I'm guessing the true question is...why haven't you discovered this place when you are such a coffee addict?"
