CHAPTER 12:
STILL HARRY POV
I was really glad to see that Mr. Weasley was awake-though it was clear that he was not okay.
When he saw me, his face lit up. "Harry, my boy!"
"Hullo Mr. Weasley. I hope you're doing better." I say, walking closer to his bedside.
"I'll survive. But I would most definitely be dead if it weren't for you-you saved my life!" He said, making me blush.
"Well-" I try to protest, but he pulls me into a bear hug, well as best as he can do while still on the bed.
"Thank you, Harry. I am forever grateful to you."
My eyes widen. "Mr. Weasley, I should be the one forever grateful to YOU! Without you and your family, I would have no one." I whisper.
"Well, you don't ever have to worry about that, Harry dear." Mrs. Weasley sweet voice cooed, from the seat next to me.
"Thank you, Mrs. Weasley." I say, and she hugs me as well.
A nurse walks into the room right then, I vaguely know her face, maybe she went to Hogwarts with me a few years back… "Visiting hours are almost over," She says sympathetically.
"Please, miss, could we stay for a bit longer?" Mrs. Weasley asked, tears brimming in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, ma'am-hospital policy." She said.
We all sighed, "Are you sure, miss?" Percy asked hopefully, and her eyes widened, at Percy. Her eyes skimmed him and she began to backtrack a bit.
"Um… Actually I could ask, I'll be back in a moment!" She said, and ran out the door.
All of us snorted, except for Annabeth and Percy.
"Um… What just happened?" He asked, puzzled.
Annabeth, looking distinctly annoyed, glared at the door. "She thought you were good-looking, Seaweed Brain. So she was VERY eager to get on your good side, which was why she said she'd see if we could stay longer."
Percy was blushing deeply. "What?" He sounded embarrassed and surprised all at once.
"Oh Seaweed Brain. You're so oblivious." Annabeth said with a sigh.
"It's not that really, it's just that you're the only girl I ever pay attention to, so I never really notice when other girls try to… well…"
"Throw themselves on you?" She finished, amused.
"Yeah, I guess." He said, scratching the back of his head.
"You're so sweet, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth said, kissing his cheek.
We are all watching this scene, amused. Annabeth went from being really, really terrifyingly angry to really, really happy in moments.
Thalia was rolling her eyes, and was about to say something, when the nurse opened the door again.
She glared when she saw Annabeth in Percy's arms, but tore her eyes away to look at Mrs. Weasley. "You can stay for another ten minutes, but then you have to leave. I'm very sorry ma'am."
"Thank you very much." Mrs. Weasley said with a smile.
"Not a problem at all, ma'am."
We all continued to talk to Mr. Weasley until the nurse popped her head in again, informing us that it was time to leave.
As we walk out the door, Mr. Weasley pauses me again. "Thank you again, Harry. I would be, without a doubt, dead if it weren't for you."
My cheeks heated up. "No problem, Mr. Weasley. Have a good night, sir."
"You as well, Harry, my boy."
(AN: SO I'M NOT GOING TO PUT THE NEVILLE THING IN HERE BECAUSE THAT WAS ALL J. K. ROWLING!)
Ron POV
It's times like this when I am really thankful about my best friend having these nightmares. Well… actually this is the only time I've ever been thankful that my best friend has these nightmares.
Anyways...
I wait for Harry to catch up to me, and then pull him into a hug. A manly hug, of course.
"Ron? What was that for?"
"Thanks, mate. If it weren't for you, my dad would be… dead." I choked out the last word, barely even able to imagine my father dead.
"It's not a problem, Ron. Really." He insists, but I hug him again anyways.
When we get outside of St. Mungos, all of my brothers and Ginny hugged Harry as well.
He looked overwhelmed, but happy at the same time.
"Listen, I know that if the situation was reversed…" His voice trails off awkwardly, because we knew it couldn't happen. None of us could ever save his father.
"Thank you again, Harry." Fred said, breaking the extremely awkward silence.
"It's no problem at all." He said, with a small, sad smile.
Lupin clapped his hands together. "Alright, we're going to go back the same way we came.
We all walked to our respective elder to side-along with. After an unpleasant sensation, we found ourselves back at Grimmauld Place.
Sirius was at the table, still pouting.
"Oh you're back!" He said, happily.
"We're back, Padfoot." Lupin said, sounding slightly amused.
"Great, because I need to talk to Prongslet." He said, pulling Harry away from the rest of us. (AN: THIS IS SIRIUS AND HARRY'S TALK ABOUT LIKE HARRY STAYING WITH HIM AND ETC.)
We all began to separate after that, the demigods going up to their rooms, the adults all conversing in hushed whispers and my siblings trying out Fred and George's newest invention.
Hermione walked up to me and put a hand on my shoulder hesitantly. "Are you alright Ron. After seeing your father, I mean." She asked gently.
"Yeah, I suppose."
"You don't have to hide anything from me, you know. I've known you for a long time now, and we've gotten into far too many deadly scrapes together for us not to trust each other." She said, smiling.
I chuckled at what she said, because she was right. "I am alright, really. It was shocking, to say the least, but I'm glad Harry was able to save dad."
"I'm glad as well. Your father is such a sweet man." She said, and I smiled even wider.
"Thanks, 'Mione."
"Not a problem, Ronald." She said with a shy smile.
"Not just for this, but I mean for everything. You've saved me far more times than I'd like to admit." I said, sheepishly, making her laugh.
"I suppose it's my job now, getting you and Harry out of trouble."
"Yeah, I guess so." I said, and the two of us smiled at each other, until Harry walked in, looking elated.
"Sirius just told me that he wants to have me stay with him once this… mess is over!" Harry said, and the two of us cheered.
"I'm so happy for you, Harry!" Hermione said, and I agreed.
