I noticed your review, and just wanted to clear this up. The reason that Scarlett needed the school fund is because both her parents are squibs, neither of them make any wizarding money. They are upper-middle class muggles. They could not ask the Weasleys for help because they are a bit tight on the money side of things. Thank you for helping me clear this up, in case it confused any other readers.

"What the hell?" I grew hot underneath the two layers I was wearing. "It's not really the sky, it's a charm." Hermione said, brow furrowed, "I read it in "Hogwarts, A History." I had seen some pretty cool stuff at The Burrow, such as Fred's awesome trick with his ears and some gnomes. Long story short, it ended up with a house covered in glitter and an angry aunt.
But this was amazing.
"Mione, shut up and let me be in awe." I sighed. All the first years gathered in front of the of the middle aisle. "What house ya think you'll be in?" I asked Harry, who was staring at the bedazzled "sky". Harry looked at me. "I dunno." Ron had explained the houses in great detail. How only the bad witches and wizards came out of Slytherin. I bet the ferret turns out to be one of them.
"All first years?" A woman in the front of the room, putting a stool out in the front of the great hall. She held a great big mass of cloth in her old hand. Then, all of the sudden, the mass in her hands was plopped on the stool, then started to belt
"Oh you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hands (though I have none)
For I'm a Thinking Cap!"
"Abbott, Hannah" A small frail looking girl with blonde hair in pigtails, walked up to the front of the hall, shaking, scared to be going first. "Please sit." The woman (who I later found her name was McGonagall) gestured the stool. Then she plopped the mass of fabric on the pigtailed head. After a few moments the hat shouted "HUFFLEPUFF!"
"So, it just shouts it out what house you should be in?" I asked aloud, to nobody in mind. "Well, duh." I heard somebody say. I looked back to see a pug-faced girl with black hair that was chopped in a failed bob, smirking at me, arms crossed. I did what I would do when any body ticks me off.
I flipped her off.
