AN: hey everyone I would like to start off by thanking everyone who has read my story, and a special thanks to those who have reviewed. I was rereading my last chapter and I know that it wasn't one of the best that I've written but I was a little fast to get it out. So with all that said here is the next chapter of Gohan, Harry and the prisoner of Azkaban.
Disclaimer: I own nothing
Hermione hadn't spoken since Dumbledore had moved Gohan's injured body, for the first time since the boys had met her, Hermione had no desire to do homework, or visit the library. All the girl could think about was the horrible image of the young man that she had come to call a friend lying in a crater with a small earthen spire coming out of his stomach.
Harry was in much the same state as Hermione, he hadn't seen his dark haired friend but the description that Ron had given him, had left Harry feeling sick to his stomach. A mixture of horror at the thought that the other boy had died mixed with the guilt from the fact that he blamed himself.
"Huh not so strong now is he?" a voice sneered from the other side of the small crater, every head snapping to look at the source, one Draco Malfoy. Harry couldn't help but to stare at Malfoy in shock, he knew that the pale haired boy had issue with the schools dark haired guardian but he couldn't believe that the other boy would actually make a comment like that.
"But then again what more can you expect from a muggle" the pale haired Slytherin continued.
"Shut up Malfoy" Harry growled as he glared at the other boy, there was no way that he was going to let Malfoy say anything bad about the other boy, especially this soon after he died. Both boys glared at each other, Ron quickly stepping up beside Harry, followed by the rest of the Gryffindor quidditch team, Fred and George looking ready to get into a fight at any moment.
"Enough Draco there is a time and place." The Slytherin captain stated, while pointing at the softly crying Hermione. Draco couldn't help but to sneer at the girl, before looking at the downtrodden and angry faces of the other students.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me" the pale haired blond sneered, towards the crying girl. He considered leaving her stewing in her tears, but the truth was that even he wasn't that heartless. With his usual sneer firmly in place Draco spun and began walking away, only to pause after a few steps.
"He's not dead, mudblood" with that said Malfoy continued on his path back to his dormitory. Every eye was locked on the pale haired boys retreating back; everyone was shocked by the boy's statement. After all it wasn't possible for the boy to still be alive was it?
Hermione wasn't sure whether or not to believe the arrogant boy, but she couldn't deny the small spark of hope that his words ignited in her. Knowing that she needed to find out if he was telling the truth for herself the bushy haired brunette was quick to get to her feet and take off towards the hospital wing.
Harry couldn't help but to stare after his female friend, she was halfway across the field when his senses finally caught back up with him and the messy haired boy took off after his female friend. Harry knew that there was very little chance that the other boy could still be alive, but at the same time he found that he couldn't help but to hope that Malfoy was telling the truth. It didn't take long for Harry and Ron to catch up with Hermione, all three running up the stairs towards the hospital wing.
Bulma couldn't help but to glare at her husband, she knew that even though he'd never say it Vegeta had grown somewhat fond of Gohan, but more then that the blue haired genius realized that since Goku had died Vegeta had transferred the rivalry that he had with Goku to Gohan to a small degree. But that didn't mean that he could leave their two year old some at the house alone, and the fact that he was refusing to leave the hospital wing until he knew that Gohan would live was really beginning to piss her off.
The flame haired prince of the saiyan could feel his mates glare on the back of his head, but he didn't care ever since Cell, Gohan had been the strongest saiyan in the world, his power only increasing after the wish to make him a full saiyan. And Vegeta would be damned before he let something or someone else kill the boy. Without realizing it Vegeta had turned the boy into a replacement rival for Kakarot.
Bulma was about ready to start laying into her husband again, when the door to her left slammed open, causing all eyes to turn to look at the three youths who had just barged into the room.
Hermione had no idea what she was expecting when she rushed through the door, but what she wasn't expecting was to see the man that Gohan had beaten up just a few days ago, and one of her idols. None of that really registered for the very intelligent girl, she was on a mission and the second that her brown eyes landed on the rejuvenation tank Hermione all but charged over to it. Tears of joy coming to her eyes as they saw Gohan floating in the liquid, and heard the stead beeping of the inbuilt heart monitor.
Quickly following Hermione, harry couldn't help but to smile when he saw Gohan floating there, he was both relived and rather surprised to discover that Malfoy had been telling the truth, but with a large grin he placed his hand on Hermione's shoulder, Ron placing his hand on Hermione's opposite shoulder. None of them were currently sure how the boy was still alive but the truth was they didn't care they were just glad he was. Vegeta glared at the three children that currently crowded the rejuvenation tank, knowing that the boy would survive Vegeta decided that he'd return to Capsule Corp. to pick up Trunk's and bring him back here. Though Vegeta still thought this was a waste of Gohan's time the prideful saiyan prince knew that the boy had given his word, so he'd take over the guardianship of this castle and its students until the boy was released from the tank.
"You owe me a spar boy." Vegeta growled lowly before he took off out the open window, Bulma couldn't help but to chuckle at her husband. She knew that he was glad that Gohan would be okay, he just couldn't admit it.
"I'm pretty sure Gohan wouldn't want you seeing him in his underwear." Bulma said, barely suppressing a chuckle as the bushy haired brunette in the middle jumped backwards, her face now all but glowing red.
Hermione couldn't even begin to suppress the blush that had spread across her face; she couldn't believe that she had been staring at Gohan in his underwear. But as her eyes landed on the blue haired women, Hermione froze her eyes widening at the fact that one of her idols was standing less than five feet from her.
"Hi" Bulma stated somewhat uncomfortable by the way the girl was staring at her. Hermione couldn't help but to smile as she all but ran up to the older woman quickly extending her hand. Bulma just chuckled as she grabbed the obviously excited girl's hand.
"Hi my name is Hermione Granger, that's Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley; it's an absolute pleasure to meet you." Hermione all but yelled.
"I haven't seen Hermione this excited to meet someone since Lockhart" Harry whispered to his red haired friend, causing both boys to chuckle quietly. Before they could even begin talking to the blue haired woman though, the two females began talking about things that went right over the two boy's heads, deciding that instead of trying to understand what they were talking about the boys turned back to Gohan and began telling the unconscious boy what had happened after the quidditch game.
Bulma would be the first to admit that she was rather surprised by just how smart the girl in front of her seemed to be. The fact that she wanted to know about the rejuvenation tank hadn't surprised the blue haired genius, but the fact that the girl could somewhat follow everything that Bulma was telling her shocked the older woman. Their conversation was silenced though when the windows were blown open and Vegeta landed in the room, a small lavender haired baby resting comfortably in his arms.
He was quick to stomp over to Bulma handing her their offspring, it wasn't that the saiyan prince wasn't fond of the child, truthfully he was, but his father had always taught him that a true saiyan warrior didn't show feelings like love and above all else Vegeta was a true saiyan warrior.
"Dinner shall be served shortly." Madam Pomfrey stated as she looked at all the people who were currently crowding her hospital wing. Unsurprisingly Vegeta was the first to leave the room quickly followed by the still talking Bulma (carrying baby trunks) and Hermione, and bringing up the rear was Ron and Harry both boys talking about the quidditch game and different tactics that Harry could use in the next game.
The great hall was filled with the usual amount of gossip for dinner, everyone talking about how they had spent the day after the quidditch game, or discussing what had happened to Gohan, but the instant that Vegeta marched through the great hall and all the way up to the staff table followed by Bulma who had split ways with Hermione mid way through the hall both agreeing to talk more, all the students and many of the teachers found their attention quickly focused on the odd pair.
"well as I'm sure you've all noticed we have a few new faces joining us tonight, but first I'd like to inform everyone that young Mr. Son will be making a full recovery thanks to Mrs. Briefs." At this Bulma smiled as she raised her hand so everyone knew who he was talking about. "But as young Gohan can't carry out his duties while he is recovering, Mr. Vegeta as graciously agreed to take his place." At this all eyes looked to the glaring saiyan prince. "Please make sure that you treat them with the respect that they deserve, now on with the feast."
Hey everyone well here's chapter 12, I hope that everyone enjoys it, and once again I'd like to thank everyone who's taken the time to read my fan fiction, and please remember to review, thanks and I hope to have the next chapter out shortly, later.
