Chapter 12

Captured Moments

I apologize for the extreme delay in this chapter. I've been working on it a little bit at a time while doing my other story. I do plan to wrap this story up soon. I'm determined to finish it. I still enjoy writing Vega in the story even though in the show she dies. In this story she is still alive.

Disclaimer:Don't own anything.

Jane changed out of the smoke-filled clothes and quickly took a shower and dressed in other clothes. They ordered pizza since none of the agents and consultant wanted to cook. The pizza deliveryman arrived and brought the half sausage and pineapple and pepperoni pizza. After they finished, Vega decided she wanted to call her mother to update on her week and so she escaped to her room.

Jane and Lisbon went to "their" room they rented out for the week. Lisbon decided to change into her pajamas, "Jane, you probably should call your father to see how he's doing." Lisbon stated seriously.

"Alright, Teresa." Jane answered annoyingly. He didn't feel like talking to him. As much as he was trying to get along with him, there were still a lot of history of forgiveness to go over with his father.

"He's still your dad. I know it's still hard to accept he's around. You have to attempt to forgive him at some point. I've forgiven mine, it's not easy." Lisbon stated.

"I don't know, Teresa. It's just not going to be, 'hey, dad how are you doing?'It's not to that point yet. I'm being as nice as I can. It's hard. You know that time I spent at Carson Springs. It was because he put me there." Jane confessed.

Lisbon grew a little annoyed but yet she felt sorry for him and could see his point considering she herself grew up with an abusive father.

"He was abusive like your dad. When I wasn't good enough as Boy Wonder, he would verbally harass me. In the beginning I didn't like lying to people."

"Oh." Lisbon paused. "I'm sorry. You still need to call. He wants to improve his relationship with you. I can tell." Lisbon said handing him her phone. They gave Alex Jame's phone. At first, Jane wasn't sure about giving him the phone, but Lisbon insisted his father have a phone.

"Fine. I'll call." Jane found his number on the phone and pushed it.

"Hello, son, how ya doing? So, you decided to check on your dear old dad." Alex said.

"Teresa wanted me to." Jane admitted.

"I figured as much. She seems to be the one keeping you on check." Alex admitted.

"Yeah, she is. How are you?"

"Not bad. It's quite interesting to be working with the cops. I went out with that Cho and Wylie. Long time ago I would've laughed at the thought." Alex explained.

"Are you being useful?" Jane questioned.

"You accusing me of doing nothing, son?"

"I don't trust you completely yet."

"I thought you decided to let me stay?" Alex asked quizzically.

"Because Teresa wants it. And I'm trying."

"It makes sense, I suppose. You have to admit I provided you with good information on this case." Alex said proudly.

"Yes, and we appreciate it. You and Wylie need to come for our plan."

"You going to involve me in your plan."

"Maybe. I'll let Wylie know when I need you and him to come."

"I'll see you later then."

"Goodbye."

The next day, Lisbon dressed for the outing with Cheryl Gunners. She wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of shopping and especially for clothes she wouldn't wear, since it wasn't her favorite hobby. Jane was more willing to shop than she was and he was a man. After all, he bought all the clothes for this undercover case. Cheryl told Lisbon to go ahead and knock on her door at 10:00 A.M. Vega rode the bus to the school that morning and she seemed a little more happier that morning. She must be getting somewhere with the students. Lisbon went up to her neighbor's door and knocked preparing to see the woman.

The door opened revealing Cheryl in a perfect sundress. "Tasha, how are you? Lovely that you could come with me."

"Nice of you to invite me." Lisbon stated in her best excited voice.

"We can take my car." Cheryl said taking her keys out of her purse. She clicked on a remote and immediately the garage door opened revealing a Ford Explorer. Cheryl went to the driver's side and got in the car and in the driver's seat. Lisbon followed and went to the passenger side and entered putting on her seat belt. "How was Tiffany's first day of school?" Cheryl asked, while looking in the mirror and backing out the driveway.

"I believe she had a good day. She met a few students, I think. It's a change from her previous school in Sacramento learning where the rooms are and meeting new teachers and getting used to the traditions." Lisbon admitted.

"Oh, I know. It's difficult to adjust yourself to a new place when you're an adult too. I wasn't thrilled with it at first when Alan was sent here, but I've met some great people. I've come to love Dallas" Cheryl confessed. Lisbon thought about what Cheryl said. After the CBI was closed down, she had to start over in another state and town. It was tough at first, especially moving from a large city in California to a small town in Washington, where the only excitement as chief were robberies and giving talks to the local grade school. She was able to get a house of her own, which she enjoyed, but there was something missing- Her team, Jane. Jane had been so much a part of her life, it felt empty and incomplete. He was gone to who knew where. She understood why he had to leave. He was wanted by the FBI for crimes and for the murder of Thomas McAllister. She was still hurt that Jane was gone. Wayne and Grace moved on to San Francisco and had a family to think about. Then the letters came all of a sudden and she knew right away they were from Jane. Those letters helped her keep close to him, even faraway. She didn't know when she would ever see him again, but she had that small ray of hope. Then suddenly, he was back like a flash of lightning. Abbott found him and he made her a number one term and her wanted to work with him again. As much as she loved seeing him again, she couldn't just pick up and move again. She told him that, but then she decided it was worth it, to move again to change her location, because, in reality, a house and place wasn't necessarily a home, it was the people and, as much as he was the annoying, troublemaker consultant, he was her home. He was her safety net.

"Yes, that is indeed true." Lisbon admitted not lying. As much as she didn't like Abbott for closing the CBI, she had realized he turned out to be a great boss and person. She was very happy to be able to work with Cho again. Even though she was gone, Fischer became a good friend during the time Lisbon worked with her. Wylie became a delightful part of the team and Vega seems to be a nice addition, even if she still wasn't quite sure how to deal with Jane. With patience and practice, she will eventually accept him. Talking to Vega and explaining what to expect from Jane helped her to get along with him better.

The two women finally arrived at the shopping center, which was located a little outside of Dallas. Lisbon didn't know really what to look for in clothes, but she was mainly there to get information from Cheryl about the people in the neighborhood. Hopefully, Cheryl would be the type of person who gossips. They arrived in department store and right away Cheryl made her way to the women's department to the dress section where there were dresses in array of shapes and colors. Cheryl started looking and Lisbon followed. "My niece is getting married in October and I need to find something to wear to the wedding in Iowa." Cheryl shifted for her size through a rack of empire waisted dresses in a brightly colored orange. Lisbon wouldn't choose such a color normally. She looked disgustedly at it. Cheryl noticed. "I take it orange isn't your favorite color, Tasha. My niece's color is orange. I wouldn't have that as a color."

"No, it's not." Lisbon said going to another rack of dresses in forest green of the same shape" Lisbon stated. "I'm grew up in Illinois, well, Chicago." Jane had told her to go ahead and keep her past and basically the same, so it wouldn't be too confusing for her. She was thankful for that, considering she didn't want to have to lie about everything.

"Do you have family still there?" Cheryl asked.

"Oh, I have a couple of younger brothers there. Our parents died when we were young, I had to care for them." Lisbon confessed.

"Oh, that's too bad about your parents."

"May I help you?" The clerk noticed Cheryl and Lisbon looking around the dresses.

"I'm looking for a dress for a wedding." Cheryl answered.

"I'm just looking." Lisbon admitted.

"Tasha, you should really try on that dress. Your husband will love it! I'm sure you're tired of packing and want to go on a date night." Cheryl said excitedly to Lisbon. "You should try the dress on."

"Okay. He would like it." Lisbon admitted taking the dress to try it on. Cheryl took the orange dress to try on as well. They both went in the dressing room and went in separate rooms, but Lisbon kept talking as she started to strip down her clothes.. "So, so do you know everyone in the neighborhood?" Lisbon asked Cheryl who was in the next dressing room hoping she would get some answer that would be helpful for the investigation.

"Not everyone. There is a family that keeps to themselves. They're not really involved with community activities. I don't know them too well, I just know their name. They're the Wilsons. They live down the street. I see them once in while, but like I said never officially met them."

Lisbon wondered if the people Cheryl mentioned had anything to do with the drug ring. It seemed possible, since they were very recluse in the neighborhood. She believed that Cheryl was innocent. She didn't seem the type to be involved with something like that, of course it was always the least likely people that were involved with murders. Her gut said Cheryl was innocent of any crimes and Jane had told her to listen to her gut many times before.

When she had the chance, Lisbon decided she would go outside and make the call to Jane about the information she learned about the neighborhood. She pushed the store door open and took out phone, making sure nobody was around and called the landline phone at their rental house. She hoped Jane would be there to answer it. She didn't really know what he was doing today.

"Hello, my dear."

"Jane, I have some interesting information." Lisbon whispered into her phone hoping Cheryl wouldn't come out.

"Yes, what is it?"

"Cheryl mentioned there's a house at the end of the street and people don't really communicate with the neighbors and she's only seen them a few times and they keep to themselves. So, possibly, there might be some strange activity going on. The name is Wilson." Lisbon whispered.

"Maybe I'll check it out and see about them."

"Jane, you can't just snoop around like that. People will get suspicious."

"I'll be fine, Lisbon. I'll just introduce myself to them."

"I don't think that's a good idea." Lisbon worriedly said. "You don't have your phone. Your dad has it."

"I know. Trust me, I'll be fine, Lisbon."

"Fine. Don't worry for your life." Lisbon stated sarcastically. "Bye."

"Bye, dear."

She worried about Jane getting in trouble if he snooped but what was she going to do? She couldn't keep him from doing that. It was a lead in the case and she was hoping this undercover thing was going to be over soon and that they would solve the case. It was already getting long. She didn't really want to stay a whole week in a Dallas. Why did he have to have the bright idea of going undercover?

After hearing from Lisbon about a possible lead, Jane immediately set out to take a walk down the street to explore the possible house that could be involved with the drug ring in this neighbor. The neighbor where his father's friend possibly bought cocaine.

He arrived at the house that was suspected. He looked around to make sure nobody was around to see him. He knocked on the door and looked through the window and saw nobody was home. He took out a paperclip and unfolded it and stuck it in the lock. He turned it and opened the door. He went inside the house into the living room. There was no indication people living there. It was basically plain with no décor. It was as a new house would look like before being moved in. He looked into the kitchen. The refrigerator was bare with no magnets and no indication people have been using it. He opened the door and looked inside revealing one jug of milk and orange juice and some restaurant leftover boxes. The refrigerator was bare with the exception of those items. That seemed suspicious to have such an empty fridge. He closed it up and then looked in the cupboards and searched and found there were only a couple of cereal boxes. He finally did find some tea in the house. Thank goodness, these people were tea drinkers. He was ready for a cup now. He took out the box of tea and pulled out one of the bags. He searched the cupboards for a kettle and found a few pans and the kettle. He took it out run the water out of the sink and put on the stove, and turned the heat on to heat the water. He looked for in the top cupboards and looked for a mug. He found one and set it on counter while waiting for the water to boil. He saw some drawers in the kitchen with a few utensils, but generally everything was fairly bare, not people who had lived there for a while. The kettle sprouted off then, and he took the cup and poured the water in the mug. He took the cup with him and searched around the living room and searched through the drawers of any clue. He found a piece of paper that revealed a name, Richard Carson and a phone number. He slipped the piece of paper in his jacket pocket and closed the drawer. He continued looking around the house. He went up to the bedroom and checked out the closet. No clothes were hanging up except for a large coat. He looked through the drawers revealing very little in them. This must be the place where the leader lived and worked. The people here possibly could be a link to Michael's killer. He hears a noise thinking perhaps someone is there. He goes into the kitchen and quickly takes a wet paper towel and wipes everything he touched and then quietly leaves and goes back to the house.

After her shopping spree with Cheryl, Lisbon came back to the house where Jane was waiting for her.

"Hey, how was shopping, my dear?" Jane came up to her and placed a kiss on her lips.

"Exhausting. I hate shopping and I especially hate it with other people. Cheryl's a nice lady and all, but she takes forever trying on clothes. She tried on at least 10 dresses to look at for a wedding." Lisbon complained. "Why think so hard on something you're only going to wear a couple of times."

"That's my Lisbon, my angry little princess." Jane grinned. Lisbon glared at him at his name for her.

"What have you been doing?" Lisbon asked.

"I've just been here." Jane grinned.

"Don't lie to me. You went to that house." Lisbon looked at him carefully.

"Yes."Jane admitted.

"Did you find out anything?" Lisbon asked.

"This!" Jane pulled out the paper with the name Richard Carson and phone number.

"You can get in trouble for breaking and entering. Those people will suspect someone going through their house."

"I took care of it."

"What do you mean, Jane?"

"I wiped down my fingerprints." Jane admitted.

"With what?"

"Paper towel."

"That's not going to do any good."Lisbon admitted putting down her shopping bag.

"You did buy something." Jane said noticing the bag.

"For show, basically." Lisbon leaned down and placed her hands in the bag and pulled out the green dress she bought and held it up to her body.

Jane grinned. "Did you get that to wear for me? I'm touched, dear. I really am." Eying up and down the dress over Lisbon's body.

"No, I got it for my other boyfriend, Sven. You know, the big brawny Norwegian guy." Lisbon sarcastically said and teased. "Yes, I got it to wear for you." Lisbon grinned.

"I certainly hope it's for me. I certainly don't want to get in a fight with Sven." Jane grinned. "Shall we go to dinner tonight?"

"Jane, we're on a case. And besides, what's Vega going to do?" Lisbon asked.

"She'll be fine. She has her gun." Jane stated.

"You just broke and entered into somebody's house and snooped around." Lisbon admitted.

"Everything will be fine. Vega's tough. She can handle herself, she told me herself." Jane admitted.

Vega was waiting to get done with the school. It was the last period, math. She hoped this case wouldn't take forever because she certainly didn't want to go to school for too many days. She still hadn't figured out the purpose what she was supposed to find out at a school. She hated Jane for making her do this and she couldn't stand having to pretend he was her dad. She tried listening to the teacher. She really did, but thinking about joining the FBI she wondered what did she get her self into? And especially with this team in Austin? Couldn't she have been placed in a normal team with no odd consultants? She didn't mind Agent Lisbon. She liked Agent Cho enough. He seemed like a good, solid agent. She hadn't figured out Wylie yet. He was nice in a typical computer nerd sort of way. She hadn't had a chance to get to know him yet. Abbott seemed to be a good boss, though she questioned his choice in hiring Jane, but seemed to know what he was doing.

She was starting to get along with Jane better after learning about his family, but it was difficult to figure out everything he did and why he did it. Oh, well, that would probably be a mystery that would never be solved. She would just have to deal with it the best she could. Soon, she heard the bell, dismissing the students from school. Finally, it was time to go home to her fake house and her fake family and find out about the case more. Hopefully, Jane and Lisbon found something more about the drug ring because she hadn't come up with any answers. She quickly grabbed her stuff off the desk and put it in her backpack and then left the room. She roamed the halls and went towards the locker assigned to her. She grabbed a couple of books for classes that homework were assigned. She didn't know whether she had to do homework considering she was only here a short time and for a case. She put the act of being a student on show. She put those books in her backpack and got ready to leave. She quickly went to the ladies room and went in the stall. She soon heard a couple of other students come in and were whispering.

"Where'd you get it?" A girl said.

"It's at the "market", you know." The other girl whispered. "I can't say exactly say where. It's a code."

"I get it, Sarah."

"Hide it carefully. Nobody can see the product, Leslie." Sarah commented.

"You should've waited until we got out of school to give me it." Leslie said.

After going to the bathroom, Vega then carefully climbed on the toilet and viewed through the stall door. Luckily, she hung her bag on the hook on the door. She could see the first girl give Sarah a package of white substance. She knew right away it was cocaine. Waiting for the two girls to leave so she could leave, Vega stayed on the toilet. Now she had something to tell. Finally, the two girls left and Vega carefully got off the toilet and took her bag and opened the stall door and went to the sink and washed her hands. She came out of the bathroom and went down the hall and out the school doors and realized that she missed the school bus. Oh, well, she hated the bus anyway. She'll call Lisbon. She went to her bag and took out her phone, but before she could call, she heard a familiar voice. She turned around and saw Greg, who she met the day before.

"Hey, missed the bus?" Greg asked grinning at Vega.

"Yes, I did. I was going to call my mom." Vega admitted.

"I can certainly give you a ride, Tiffany." Greg smirked. "I have my own car."

"I probably shouldn't." Vega stated.

"What, not supposed to take rides from strangers?" Greg questioned grinning.

"Well, I just met you and don't know you that well." Vega leerily said. "You basically are a stranger."

"Oh, you can trust me. I'm not a serial killer or anything." Greg confessed. "And besides, you did say you would hang out with me yesterday. They do make sure the welcoming committee are safe."

"Okay, fine. Just let me call my mom." Vega stated. She pulled her phone out and pressed Lisbon's number making sure he didn't see.

"Hello,Vega."

"Hi, mom." Vega stated being in character. Hopefully Lisbon would figure out that somebody was with her and couldn't say her name.

"Tiffany, what's going on? Somebody's with you." Lisbon asked.

"I'll be home in a few minutes. I missed the bus, somebody's giving me a ride." Vega explained.

"Who is giving you a ride?" Lisbon said concerned.

"Oh, one of the students I met. Greg. He was my welcoming committee." Vega admitted.

"Okay, fine. You be careful though. You don't know these people." Lisbon said concerned.

"Yes, I know, mom. You did tell me to meet new friends. How am I supposed to do that if I can't talk to people?" Vega stated teenager like.

"I know, dear, but you need to be cautious." Lisbon stated boldly. Vega just figured out Lisbon wasn't the greatest at playing the part. "Bye. Call me."

"Bye, mom." Vega stated annoyed keeping her appearance up as an annoyed teenager.

"Okay, let's go." Greg said as he led Vega to the parking lot. They arrived at his car, which was a red sports car. Greg got in the driver's side and Vega went in the passenger side.

"Your mom didn't want you to come with me?" Greg asked starting his car.

"Oh, she's worried about me. I told her I'm okay." Vega admitted.

"Have you talked to anybody besides me and Rachael?" Greg asked.

"Oh, a little but mostly for class assignments." Vega admitted.

"You getting moved more? Getting to know other neighbors?" Greg asked.

"Yeah, we are. My dad went to the casino last night with some guys to meet." Vega confessed.

"Then he would've met my dad. He was there last night." Greg admitted.

"Yeah, I think so." Vega said.

"Do you need to be home right away? You want some ice cream?" Greg questioned.

"No, I suppose not." Vega admitted. She figured she needs to find something out anyway. She shouldn't get so caught up in Greg. He's a high school student. But of course, she was doing this for information, to solve a case, a murder. He seemed so nice and obviously attracted to her and flirting with her. She didn't expect this at all. "Let's go. I know a great place." Greg said.

Greg continued to drive and finally parked at a ice cream shop. They got out and headed inside. He ordered a large sundae for the two of them to share.

"This seems like something they did in the fifties."Vega stated remembering pictures of her grandparents getting ice cream at a malt shop and also other pictures from the fifties.

"Are you saying I'm old fashioned?" Greg laughed taking a spoonful of ice cream and taking a bite.

"No, I just have never had an ice cream date before." Vega admitted telling the truth. She really never had dates like this before, though she never experienced too many dates before in general.

"So, you're calling this a date? Should I give you my letter jacket? My Pin?" Greg smiled as he questioned list

"You don't have to, I don't know." Vega said.

After they finished the ice cream, they left and Vega guided Greg to the neighborhood. She was thankful she remembered the way. She wondered if Jane and Lisbon were worried about her. Though, why should she care? They weren't her real parents. She was a grown woman, who could take care of herself. She did trust this Greg and didn't think he was involved in anything shady.

"Thanks for the ride and the sundae." Vega smiled.

"I hope to see you tomorrow, Tiffany." Greg answered. She got out of the car and she entered the house. Lisbon right away came up to her. Jane followed. "How was school today?" Jane asked.

"Not very interesting." Vega responded. "The classes themselves."

"Did you find out anything?" Lisbon asked.

"Oh, yes. I witnessed a drug exchange in the bathroom. The girl said she got it from "the market". I assume that's slang for wherever the drugs come from and a lead to Michael's killer."

"And the guy that brought you home?" Lisbon asked.

"Greg Anderson. His dad's the lawyer. He took me for ice cream. He's trying to be nice and I really don't think he has anything to do with the drugs." Vega admitted.

"Our little girl went on date." Jane grinned being in character of dad.

Vega rolled her eyes at his comment. She was definitely ready for this undercover thing to be done. "It wasn't a date."

"Well, speaking of dates, we're going on one, right my dear?" Jane asked Lisbon. "You can show off your new sexy, green dress." Jane winked at Lisbon. Lisbon smirked at him.

"What am I supposed to do?" Vega complained. "We're supposed to be working on the case."

"Hold down the fort. You can do it. And besides, you went out for ice cream. Was that work?" Jane asked grinning.

"No."Vega responded.

"We didn't think of that, Jane. Vega's going to be by herself. We should wait until we get back to Austin." Lisbon realized.

"We can go out, we'll just go in another area of town." Jane said to Lisbon. "You'll be alright. You did say you can take care of yourself."

"Yes, I can. What did you find out?" Vega asked.

"There's a house of a family down the street who don't get involved with the community. That's what Cheryl said." Lisbon explained.

At around 5:00, Lisbon went upstairs to get dressed in the new dress. She worried about Vega being the house alone tonight, but she was a grown woman. Hopefully nobody spotted Jane sneaking around in the house and hopefully nobody would discover anything missing. She looked at herself in the mirror and was impressed with the fit and the color. She still couldn't believe she and Jane finally took the big step to a romantic relationship. She never did think he could move on from his family's deaths. She knew he wouldn't completely get over their deaths, but the fact he took the chance to tell her how he felt was a huge step. Through the years, she never thought he would look at her as more than a friend or a colleague. Or even a means to an end to get his revenge on Red John. She soon heard footsteps coming up the stairs and a knock on the door. "Are you ready? Or are you still doing woman prepping?" Jane said on the other side of the door.

"No, I'm not." Lisbon responded. "I just need to get my shoes on."

"Can I come in?" Jane asked

"No, I'm going to make you suffer a little more." Lisbon teased. She went to the closet and found some strappy black heels that Jane obviously picked for her for the undercover operation when he was in Dallas before. She grabbed the shoes and sat on the bed to put them on.

"Please!" Jane begged again. She immediately opened the door and put her hand on the edge of the door and put her other hand on her waist.

"Look at you. I have a reservation." Jane looked up and down her body. "You look beautiful." They went downstairs to get ready to leave and Vega looked at Lisbon. "You do look nice, Lisbon."

"You'll be alright here?" Lisbon asked.

"I think so. I have my gun with me." Vega admitted. "Have a good time."

"We could bring something back for you. Get you a doggy bag?"

"I'll be alright with leftover pizza." Vega stated.

Jane and Lisbon arrived at the restaurant, a fairly nice steakhouse. The hostess seated them and handed them the menus and soon the waitress came soon delivering water and asking for drink orders. They ordered a bottle of wine to share.

"Are you regretting your decision of staying in Austin?" Jane asked.

"Why would I regret my decision of staying in Austin?" Lisbon asked back wondering why Jane was questioning her. She chose him over Pike because she had always loved Jane. Sure, Pike was nice, but he wasn't Jane. "I love you."

"I don't know, you missed an opportunity of Mr. Nice Guy having your life planned out for you." Jane admitted. "

"Pike was not planning my life." Lisbon got a little annoyed.

"Yes, he was. He got you a job you didn't ask for, he proposed to you. You hardly knew him for a month. He was in a hurry." Jane said.

"What about you and your terms with me as number one. You did the same thing." Lisbon argued.

"It was different. You did decide for yourself to come." Jane said.

"Like I decided to stay with your unpredictability than taking the safe route with Pike. I was almost forced to because you wouldn't get off your ass and do something sooner than the last minute." Lisbon said.

"Language, Teresa." Jane scolded teasingly. " I'm glad you stayed." Jane grinned. "You love the excitement I bring you."

"Yes,you're right. To tell you the truth, Marcus was starting to bore me. He was too perfect and he simply wasn't you." Lisbon confessed. "So, how long do you think this case will take? We can't stay in Dallas too long. We need to solve the case." Lisbon admitted.

"I think we'll be done soon. Don't worry." Jane reasured.

"Did you think you would see your father again? Lisbon asked.

"No, I didn't think so." Jane admitted. The waitress came over to take their orders.

Vega went ahead and microwaved the leftover pizza from the night before. She went to her temporary room and changed into her black exercise pants and plain t-shirt. She hoped Jane and Lisbon didn't take too long on their date. They seemed very happy with each other and apparently they had to go through a lot to get where they were now. She sat on the couch and turned on the TV and began surfing channels. She kept her gun close. She really wasn't really afraid, she'd been used to it when her mother worked after her father died. Suddenly she heard a noise outside and grabbed her gun. She tiptoed to the front door and looked around outside and saw nothing. She shouldn't worry that much. This was a nice neighborhood, but you never know. Lisbon had told her that Jane snooped around the house at the end of the street. She still didn't understand why he would do that. They needed a warrant. He basically broke the law and still couldn't understand how Lisbon dealt with him. She soon turned around to go to the back door that led to the porch. She checked outside and saw nothing again. All of a sudden, she heard footsteps and then a darkness, then realized she had a bag over her head. She yelled out, but felt a shock and then darkness.

Jane and Lisbon finished their delicious steak and chicken meals. "Do you think Vega's okay?" Lisbon worried.

"She's fine. Why are you worried so much?"Jane asked as he took out his credit card and put it in the waiter's order book.

"Because we're responsible for her. She's a rookie and needs guidance at times." Lisbon stated. The waitress came back and took the card and soon returned and Jane signed the receipt. He got up and Lisbon did too.

They arrived at the house and walked to the front door and Lisbon opened the door and called. "Vega, we're back!" Lisbon went in the house and noticed the TV still on and Vega's gun on the floor. She looked around the living room and kitchen. She may be in the bathroom. Or upstairs. Lisbon instantly began searching again when Vega didn't answer back. This can't be. Where is she? "Vega, where are you?"

Jane soon came in after putting the car in the garage and came in the house. He heard Lisbon calling. Lisbon came back downstairs. "Jane, she's gone. Vega's been kidnapped."

Feedback is appreciated. I will try to update again as soon as I can but it may be a little while.
