Cleverpsuedonym~ One fix of fanfiction coming up!

Steam Punk Diamonds~ Yeah, I really like the idea of her trying to recreate Blackrock in her madness. I mean, we got a taste of Zoey's potential insanity during season two. This is what happens when a taste turns into an overdose.

Guest~ Nope, I'm never updating past chapter 11. :)

Agent Epsilon 0010~ I guess you are somewhat correct with the whole double crossing stuff, so bulls eye on that one!

AwesomeOshawatt87~Thank you very much! I've been kinda wanting to write from a mushroom's point of view for a while now, so that was fun! I'm glad you liked it!

Windsong~ Aha! Everyone will eventually succumb to Zoethian...eventually... Also, thanks! I'm glad you understand why Minty couldn't be in that chapter.

Fanus Obscurus~ Oh believe me, James won't be going anywhere, in fact he'll end up being pretty darn important later. I will give you a hint on the whole killing thing. In the end, only two characters will die.

Random13245~ Thank you! I really enjoyed writing for James and this definately won't be the last we've seen of him! We will also get to meet Barbara soooo ;)

Deep, deep in one of the many forests of Tekkitopia laid a girl. She wasn't special, and not many knew her well. In the grand scheme of things, she was no more than a grain of sand in a desert. However, to one man, she was a galaxy to his planet, a garden to his plant, an ocean to his boat. She was his everything. He didn't realize it at first, and neither did she. So many misunderstandings and mistakes clouded their minds and concealed the truth. He kept her down to earth and she kept him afloat. When they left each other, he almost put himself six feet under and she was almost lost in space. Like all humans, they were foolish. He trusted no one. She would trust anyone. Once he became too distrusting, and she left. Another time, she became too trusting and he left her. An endless cycle of mistakes and regret. However, now one of them intended to end the cycle. She laid asleep, not daring to awaken, for it had become much to difficult to live in a reality where life was a nightmare, so she was intent on making death a blissful dream. As she slept she dreamed of happier times, and endless smiles. She dreamed about peace and parties and starry nights spent with a certain violet-eyed mage. The mage, on the other hand, was painfully awake. He ran towards the girl, seeking forgiveness for his foolish actions. All he found, however, were closed eyes and deaf ears. He found skin growing pale from lack of sun and nutrition, and fiery hair being slowly extinguished. He expected to find the one who could make his heart whole again, and yet all he discovered was two hearts torn in half.

But you don't want to hear about that right?

I think we need to get back to the adventures of Sips. Co and Minty!

~Minty's Perspective~

As Sjin woke up, I sat at the end of his bed, he had barely moved in the past four days since I had found him and Sips in that giant glass cage above the obsidian and lava pit. Sips laid on the bed a foot away from Sjin's, snoring loudly. I had been sitting on Sjin's bed for a while, reading a book that I had asked Honeydew for. He was hesitant at first, but after I explained the situation at hand, he immediately left, only to return about an hour later with a brown book with the words "Cloning and Various Other Genetic Modifications" printed in an almost gold-like material attached to the front cover. I thanked him, but when I looked at the Dwarf's face, I could no longer see his ever-present grin. His features were serious and stern. I tried not to dwell on it for too long and then returned to the Captive Creeper. After opening the book, "Property of Yoglabs" was scrawled on the inside of the front cover in pen. I had been looking through it for almost an hour when I finally found it. The chapter about cloning animals as well as… people?! I turned the page, hoping that human cloning was only a theory, or at least very poorly researched. I continued to look over the page, hoping that I was correct. I wasn't.

~Sjin's Perspective~

It was dark. Dark and cold, and a metallic scent lingered in the air. Did Sips drop a few ingots or something? I held out my hands, trying to find solid surface to guide myself. I could just barely see the back of my hand in front of me. I stumbled around.

"Sips?" I called out. "Minty? Are you guys here?" I continued walking around until I felt something cold and soft on my foot. I leaned down towards the unfamiliar object, and a the familiar scent of bacon dirt hung in the air. I could just barely make out a face, one almost... gray in color. Sips! I shook him by the shoulders roughly.

"Sipsy! Are you okay? Where's Minty? What's going..." Bright fluorescent lights invaded my vision, making it difficult to see. I opened my eyes. I shouldn't have.

Sips was laying on the floor motionless, with dirt shoved down his throat and nose, eyes bulging and dull. What was this? Was this hell? Was Sips really... dead?

"Sipsy... Come on... It's not funny anymore. Wake up! Wake up... please?" I begged, hoping for him to spit out the dirt and laugh, calling me a babby for getting so emotional. He didn't move.

"You know, He can't hear you." Spoke a voice from behind me. I turned, eyes still watery. Duncan stood behind me, smirking like a fox. "Neither can she." He stated as he pointed to my left, where Minty had been impaled on the same diamond sword I had given her. Minty... Oh Notch... I'm so sorry. I ran over to her, holding her corpse in my arms. This is all my fault, isn't it? Every time... Every single time I get close to people, this always happens. I made the mistake of having friends in the old world, and everyone...

"So, how are you feeling right now?" Queried Duncan. "Miserable? Heartbroken? Ready to tear out your still-beating heart?"

"I hate you." I said, feeling no reason to beat around the bush. Feeling no reason to exist.

"Hmm, so heart removal it is." He said as he reached into his pocket to pull out a notepad and pen and then proceed to write several things.

"Where am I?" I questioned, wanting to know the place I'd burn to ground later.

"You're currently," he paused to check some kind of watch-computer-thing on his wrist," In the captive Creeper."

What? This wasn't anything similar to the captive creeper that I knew.

"Tell me the truth, you bastard!" I shouted at him. He chuckled. His watch beeped. A look of annoyance crossed over his features.

"Damn," he muttered. Everything started fizzling, like a TV screen on a stormy night.

"Until next time, I suppose." Duncan said, a mad grin replacing his previously irritated face. And then, he began dissolving from the ground up, as if he were nothing more than an image fading away. Sips and Minty did the same, and I just stood there, unable to move or think.

"Duncan!" I cried. What the hell was going on? "DUNCAN!" I screamed. And then everything was black.

~Minty's Perspective~

I sat there in shock. My worst suspicions had been confirmed. Duncan had cloned Sips and Sjin. I walked over to the chest, and filled my bag with food and drinks, as well as sheathing the diamond sword that Sjin had gotten me at my side. I glanced back at him, still sleeping.

I wanted to stay here, I really did. I wanted to sit here and wait for Sjin and Sips to wake up and have a few drinks and laugh down at the bar, I wanted to stare out the window at night to watch the sky with him, i wanted to be happy, but I knew... I knew that the only thing that I would accomplish by saying here is allow Duncan to grow stronger and probably begin going after everyone else. I couldn't let that happen.

But I knew that I couldn't leave Sjin and Sips alone, because they still hadn't recovered. I pulled out a two pieces of paper, a feather, and some ink and began to write down two letters. One would stay here, to let them know that I had left, and the other was to an old friend. I laid the first one at the end of Sjin's bed, and I gave the other one to a messenger owl Lomadia had given me a few years ago. I took one last glance at Sjin before leaving. I had to put an end to this.

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, but I promise that I'll be back soon enough. Please forgive me.

I closed the door behind me and took one last look at the Captive Creeper before setting off.

~A few Hours Later~

It didn't take long for the world to become blurry and waterlogged. Even in the coolness of the setting sun the tears felt warm on my cheeks. I couldn't doubt myself, though, for I knew that this for his own good. For everyone's good.

But what if I fail? What if Duncan is too powerful, too mad, too far gone for me to defeat? Or worse, what if I don't even make it to the castle? Any kind of monster or beast could kill me at any time. After all, I was only human, unlike some of my other friends. I heard a sound from above me and my hand twitched to my sword, only to realize that it was my messenger owl holding a piece of paper similar to the one I had sent. I couldn't read it out in the open as night approached, so I climbed up the nearest tree. I winced, because several splinters had settled in my hand. However, I could now read the letter safely. I opened it, and instructed the owl to fly home. I began reading the letter.

Dear Minty,

I am glad to know you're well and alive, and I would be glad to help you and watch over Sips and Sjin in your absence. As for my own condition, well, I'd be lying if I said that I was perfectly fine, as my arms continue to remain as they have since the incident, and my eye still remains the same as well. I wish you good luck on your journey, however, I would be lying if I said that this is a good Idea. You know just as well as I do how dangerous Duncan can be. Regardless of my current...sentiments towards him, I can tell that he's gone too far. But please, I beg of you, try not to kill him. However, there will be no hard feelings if he has finally snapped. At least in the Aether he'll be sane. Good luck and Godspeed, Minty.

Your former partner in crime and Friend, Kim Nanosounds

~Lalna's Perspective~

I paced around the room. Dammit, that experiment had been cut short. At least it was successful. The Dreamscaper was up and running. I chuckled. They all thought that I was mad, crazy even, but no, before... before I had been crazy, but now, now everything was so clear.

I didn't need peace, after all it was so much fun to meddle. I thought back to Zoey, who had escaped, unfortunately, due to my own error. At least I had stolen a single kiss from her, right in front of her little Enderboy, too. That's right, I knew full well just what Rythian was, and what he was capable of. The little rogue from the former Realm of Dawn. I would deal with him soon enough.

There was of course, the oncoming threat of Minty. I had spies hidden everywhere, tiny little mining turtles that I had... repurposed. Even she wouldn't be enough to stop me. She might have skill and determination, but even that would be no match to me.

My eyes scanned the room, drifting to my, now blood-stained, lab coat on the wall to the perfect clones of those little Dirt boys, Sips and Sjin awaiting my command in the corner until finally they rested upon an ice filled chamber attached the the wall with wires and tubes running out from it. This was why Minty couldn't defeat me. This was why no one could defeat me. They might be strong but even they could not beat the power of a demi-god. I laughed. Victory was mine.

Subject Name: Ridgedog

Welp. I'm eternally sorry for the LONG wait for this chapter, but I wanted to portray Minty right, as the bartending badass she really is. Plus I also got the next few chapters planned out, so they shouldn't take nearly as long as this one did. Thank you SO MUCH for staying along for the ride, and I promise, it will get better soon. probably.

Alrighty, review, suggestions, constructive criticism, and friendly advice, is very much welcome.

Au revoir~!
