Hey guys. Wow, I know that I haven't updated in a while and I'm sooooo sorry. School has been really hectic as well as all my other extracurricular activities. I can't thank you guys enough for reading this story and for all the wonderful reviews you leave in every time I update. I swear I'm the luckiest. I never really expected to get any feedback so 75 reviews mean the world. I promise that I will try to update more frequently now that school seems to have slowed down a little. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and please review? Ok so this one I wrote to the song "Everybody" by Keith Urban, I'll tell you when to play it ;) XOXO - S

Kensi woke up to the piercing sound of the alarm going off on her phone alerting that it was 7:30am. She groaned and reached for her phone to turn it off. She flipped to the other side and was met by Deeks' baby blue eyes. His smile was bright, despite being this early, and Kensi really didn't have much of a choice than to return it.

"I have to get ready for work." Kensi whispered and kissed her boyfriend lightly on the lips before adding: "Go back to sleep".

Of course, he didn't listen to her. He sat up with her and threw the covers off. Kensi just rolled her eyes at him.

"Seriously, it's early. Go back to sleep Deeks." She said smiling at his ruffled mop of blonde hair.

"Nah, I won't be able to go back to sleep." He answered running a hand through his hair and yawning.

"Sorry I woke you." She said wrapping a hand around his neck.

"Don't worry about it Kens." He smiled wrapping his hands around her lower back. He kissed her again and then added: "Why don't you go get yourself ready and I'll make us some breakfast".

"Thank You." She said nodding before pecking him one last time and turning to the bathroom. Deeks smiled at the strong appetite his girlfriend has even this early in the morning and turned to the make his way to the kitchen.

Half an hour later Kensi exited the bathroom ready for work. Jeans, a black three and four quarters sleeve shirt that was moderately tight, her favorite pair of black boots, enough make up to be considered natural and her hair up in a perfect pony tail.

As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom the smell of bacon, pancakes and scrambled eggs hit her nostrils. She stopped in her tracks and let the beautiful smell fill her and sighed contently. She's not much of a prayer but she thanked God for Deeks and his cooking abilities. She strode into the kitchen and head straight for the coffee maker full of fresh coffee and poured herself a mug. She turned to see Deeks preparing both their plates and once he placed them on the kitchen table he walked over to her.

"You know, I've never had the chance to tell you how beautiful you look every morning. I always had to bite my tongue when I saw you walk into the bullpen every morning. So, I'm going to make a habit of it. There's no need to hold it back anymore." He smiled at Kensi's light pink cheeks. He chuckled, God he loved when he made her blush. "Seriously Kens, you look beautiful."

"Thank you Marty." Kensi answered kissing him more deeply this time. When they parted she kissed his cheek and turned to the table. "This smells great."

"Go ahead, dig in. You don't wanna be late on your first day back."

"Right." Kensi acknowledged sitting in front of her plate.

Once the dishes were both cleared and washed Kensi turned knowing it was time to head into work.

"Come back soon ok? I want my partner back." She said and smiled a little.

"Don't worry Kensilina, I will. I have a feeling the doctor is gonna clear me for fieldwork today. If he does, I'll come in tomorrow. I promise." He answered her and wrapped his arms around her waist. She leaned in to kiss him and indulged herself into the kiss. When they broke apart breathless she disentangled herself from his arms and grabbed her stuff.

"Alright. Call me if you need anything."

"I will. Have a good day babe." He winked and she rolled her eyes although she knows she will never really get used to him calling her 'babe'.

"Bye" She answered smiling and a few seconds later she was out the door.

When he heard Kensi's car come to life on the driveway he turned and headed for his bedroom. He showered, got dressed and flopped on his bed to wait until it was time to head over to Dr. Smith's office. His appointment was at 10:30 so he had a little time before he had to go.

Kensi walked into the Spanish mission and smiled at the sight of people walking around and Hetty threatening someone on the phone. As she got closer to the bullpen she heard Sam and Callen already bickering about something. Were she and Deeks always so annoying too?

"Morning guys" Kensi smiled as she walked over to her desk and set her traveling mug down in it.

"Well, well, well. Look who's back Sam" Callen exclaimed. "If it isn't the love struck Kensi Blye"

"Gee, good to see you too G" Kensi glared at him.

"Glad to have you back Kensi" Sam welcomed.

"Thank you Sam. It's great to be back" She returned.

"Yeah, that pile of paperwork doesn't seem too great to come back to." Callen told her.

"Yeah, well not so much but still, it feels good to be back. Even if it takes me a week to finish all this" She admitted looking over the files left at her desk.

"Then you better get started Ms. Blye" Hetty suddenly appeared from nowhere just like always, making everyone jump. Even Callen who almost never did. "Does Mr. Deeks plan on coming back as well?"

"Um yeah. He has an appointment today. Doctor said he'll probably clear him for fieldwork today" Kensi answered.

"Excellent" Hetty answered before turning around. "Oh and Ms. Blye?"

"Yeah Hetty?"

"Welcome back" Hetty answered turning back around and walking back to her office.

The rest of the day was passed in complete boredom. When the guys finished their reports from a case they had been working on Kensi and Deeks' absence, they left to go work out at the gym and Kensi was left to finish her paperwork alone. Damn, how much paperwork could there be? As on cue her eyes wondered over to her partner's empty desk and made a point to not complain, Deeks had a lot more paperwork than she did. She guessed that came with getting injured on the job.

By one in the afternoon Deeks had done everything. He had gone to his appointment, in which he did get cleared for fieldwork; he had gone grocery shopping and cleaned a little in the apartment. It was only one in the afternoon and he was already bored. It was going to be a long afternoon.

At around one thirty Eric whistled and caught attention of the three agents sitting at their desks.

"Hetty requests your presence at OPS" He informed and the three of them made their way to the stairs. "Good to see you back Kensi"

"Thanks Eric" She smiled at him.

(Play "Everybody" by Keith Urban)

All and all it was a simple case. No deaths, they just had to track down a suspected cyber terrorist in Los Angeles. It was easy enough that the three of them could do on their own and if there was ever the need for assistance Nell was on stand by.

It was one in the morning, they had finally caught the guy and the team gathered at OPS to report back to Hetty.

"Impeccable job gentlemen and ladies. Now go home, it's late and a good night's rest was earned. The paperwork won't go anywhere, it'll be there when you come back in the morning." Hetty told them.

Kensi had grabbed her bag, her badge and her gun and had said goodnight to the guys when her phone vibrated. She turned to see who would be calling at this time and she instantly felt worried when Deeks' name flashed on her screen.

"Hello? Deeks?" She answered worried.

"Oh hey. Um are you-" He stopped and cleared his throat. "Are you still at work?"

"No, well yes. I'm still at OSP but Hetty just let us go home. We had pretty simple case that came in a little after noon. Why?"

"Oh, I thought maybe you went to your apartment."

"Well, I was going to because it's late and I thought you would be asleep. I didn't want to bother you" She admitted.

"Oh" He simply said.

"Marty?"

"Yeah?"

"You had another nightmare didn't you?" She asked.

"Uh... yeah." He answered. She could hear the exasperation on his voice.

"Ok, I'll be there as soon as I can" She said reaching her car on the mission's parking lot.

"Ok." He simply said and hung up.

Thankfully there weren't many cars out at this time of night so she reached his apartment in no more than fifteen minutes. She knocked on the door and in a few seconds was met with Deeks' tired expression.

"Hi" She said. He opened the door more so she could come inside and she did.

"Hi" He answered her.

"You good?" She asked searching his eyes.

"I am now" He genuinely answered.

Kensi sighed and kissed him. God, she missed him all day. She had waited more than twelve hours to be able to kiss him. The last fifteen minutes more than the other twelve hours because he had sounded so desperate over the phone. She had wished she had been there when he had woken up. To kiss him and tell him that he was safe, to comfort him. They parted breathlessly and rested their foreheads together.

"God I missed you." Deeks exclaimed breaking the comfortable silence that had covered them. Only the sound of their breath was heard.

"Tell me about it Shaggy" Kensi laughed.

"I got cleared for fieldwork" He told her suddenly remembering the good news.

"Deeks that's great!" She smiled at him.

"Yeah, it is. I guess we'll both be getting ready for work tomorrow" He chuckled and she smiled nodding.

"I guess so. Hetty asked about you."

"Aw she misses me"

"No, I think she's just worried you'll leave me without a partner for too long." She returned while making her way to the bedroom.

"Yeah... right. It's that" He murmured.

"What was that?" She asked not so innocently even though her face seemed like it.

"Nothing Princess. I was just saying that you're probably right" He answered hoping it was the right answer.

"Good answer" She winked.

A few minutes Kensi had showered and changed into a pair of sweatpants and an old LAPD t-shirt that belonged to a one Marty Deeks. She found it really soft and it smelled like him. She brushed her teeth and climbed under the covers. She rested her head on Deeks' chest and he wrapped his arms around her.

"You wanna talk about it?" Kensi asked him.

"No, it's late and it wasn't anything I haven't dreamt before" He told her.

"Ok, night Marty" She said giving him a quick kiss.

"Night. I love you princess" He whispered.

"I love you too." She answered sleepily.

So? Did you like it? Yay or nay? Please review. Love you all :)
