Draco was standing across the room from his best friend as he glared at him.

"Are you going to stand there glaring all day Zabini?"

"You got her pregnant?" Blaise eventually spoke. Draco sighed heavily.

"How'd you find out?" He asked as his shoulders relaxed ever so slightly

"I was in Ginny's room when Granger walked in and told her friend she was keeping the baby," Blaise shrugged.

"Wait… What were you doing in Weasley's room?" Draco asked, one pale eyebrow hiking up under his fringe.

"Irrelevant," Blaise muttered, causing Draco to laugh out loud.

"Are you serious Zabini? Never knew you liked red heads," Draco crowed.

"Shut the fuck up Malfoy, this conversation isn't about me, it's about you and what a massive mistake you're making! You do realise that you're going to drag the Malfoy name through the dirt for being with her and having a half-blood child!" Blaise yelled over Draco's laughter.

"Don't you dare Zabini! So what if my child will be half-blood, if you think any child of mine or Hermione's wouldn't be brilliant I don't even want to continue this conversation," Draco glared, his eyes grey eyes cold as they observed his oldest friend.

"You're making a mistake Draco."

"There is no other option Blaise, I will not abort my child and I won't force Hermione to kill her child either," Draco said softly.

"What?"

"That's the only other option there is. I won't leave her to face this on her own because it takes two to tango and to be honest I have feelings for her, and I couldn't abort my child. If it wasn't for abortions I'd have a younger brother or sister," Draco murmured.

"Your mother had an abortion?"

"No my father performed the spell on my mother without her consent. My mum was devastated for months," Draco replied, then he shook himself and glared at his friend. "I won't allow anyone to kill my child."

Blaise sighed in defeat.

"Fine Malfoy. I just hope you've thought this through because if you think the media will lie quiet about this you have another thing coming," Blaise growled.

"I've been thinking… Since I'm the owner of all Malfoy assets and the Malfoy family has stakes in pretty much every wizarding paper, bar the Quibbler, in England, there must be something I can do to stop them publishing any information of myself or Hermione for the next nine months,"

"What about when the child is born?"

"It shouldn't matter by then, we'll be out of Hogwarts and we'll be able to deal with things together," Draco answered.

"Whatever. As long as you think you've got this sorted… I'm leaving, later Malfoy," Blaise shrugged before he walked towards the door, only to be pushed back inside the common room by Harry and Neville.

"Oh shit," Draco whispered. He backed up as far against the wall as he could as both boys advanced on him with Neville dragging Blaise by the neck of his jumper to his annoyance.

"You are scum Malfoy!" Harry hissed as he got close to Draco's face.

"Why is that?" Draco asked, raising his eyebrow as he smirked to hide his genuine fear.

"Really Malfoy? You really want to go about this that way?" Harry growled, his fingers twitching as if he wanted to draw his wand.

"Fine Potter, I don't know what you want to hear? I'm assuming Mi has spoken to you and I can't imagine her not telling you everything I've said I'll do. So why are you here and Longbottom let go of Blaise, I don't see why you're keeping him here." Draco said, moving away from the wall and sitting down on the sofa, carefully sitting over a white mark left there from last night that they hadn't noticed. He didn't need the boys going off about that too. Harry looked at him with a frown as Neville released Blaise who huffed. It appeared that he had lost his path by Draco's honest reply and then his casual stance.

"You are ruining her life!" Harry bit out.

"And you think having a baby is going to be beneficial to my life?" Draco bit back. "I've thought about this, in fact I was awake half the night thinking about this! She told me that she could abort the baby and I felt sick and angry, I won't kill our child and if you saw her face when she mentioned it… She couldn't kill her baby, she already loves it. But even so last night I was thinking about whether or not an abortion would be the best thing. But if I'd forced her to have an abortion as soon as she woke up you guys would be coming to hex me! So tell me, oh great Potter, what the fuck did you want me to do!" Draco snapped, he was slowly getting very annoyed.

"Not get her pregnant in the first fucking place Malfoy!"

"It's too late for that Harry," Neville spoke quietly.

"It's true," Harry bit out.

"Yeah but other than stealing a time turner and convincing Hermione not to sleep with him, we aren't going to not get her pregnant without breaking her up even more," Neville sighed.

"We could always do that," Harry muttered.

"Are you fucking serious Potter?" Blaise asked incredulously. Harry glared at him.

"She's like my sister Zabini. Tell me, what would you do if you had a sister and she got pregnant? Right now the only reason I haven't hexed Malfoy is because Hermione took our wands before allowing us to talk to him," Harry bit out as he folded his arms across his chest. Zabini rolled his eyes.

"As if you let her take your wand," Zabini snickered.

"Hermione is a force to be reckoned with if she wants something bad enough," Draco cut in. Blaise looked at his friend and then shrugged as he began to move to the door.

"I've had enough of this conversation. I'm leaving." He said.

"Wait Zabini!" Neville growled. Blaise turned back to him, an eyebrow raised as if he couldn't believe Neville had the cheek to speak to him that way.

"Longbottom?"

"Keep your mouth closed about this… And stay away from Ginny," Neville snarled. Blaise laughed loudly.

"Firstly, I don't see the fun in meaningless gossip, that's more Parkinson's style. Secondly, Malfoy is my friend, I'm not planning on throwing him under a bridge…yet," Blaise started, his gold eyes amused in his caramel face.

"Thanks," Draco hissed. Blaise silenced him with a look.

"Finally Longbottom. You don't tell me who to stay away from. If I want to be near Weasley I will…and there isn't a flying fuck you could do about it," Blaise finished, his eyes growing cold as he stared down Neville before he left the room, slamming the common room door with a loud bang.

Neville shook his head and turned back to Draco.

"There's nothing we can do about Hermione being pregnant. But I am warning you Malfoy. She is going to need you and if I even catch a slight whisper of you upsetting her, I'm going to be there breathing down your neck, wondering why you're not fixing it as soon as possible. And if you abandon her, I will come after you!" Neville murmured his voice cold as he stared into the grey eyes of the guy he despised. "I wish she'd never turned to you, but I can't change that now. So you make sure you step right." Draco looked at Longbottom and knew he meant business, so he just nodded his head. With that Neville just walked out of the room and Harry followed quickly.

That evening Hermione was sat on Draco's lap as he ran his fingers through her curls when an owl pecked at their window. Draco flicked his wand to let the owl in and Hermione opened the scroll held in its claws.

Miss Granger and Mr Malfoy,

You are required to meet me within fifteen minutes to discuss your options due to an unplanned pregnancy.

Regards

Professor McGonagall.

Draco groaned loudly as he read the note in Hermione's hands and his head fell against hers.

"Why, why, why, do we have to go and see her now?" Draco groaned.

"She's going to help us… Make this whole thing a lot easier for us to deal with while we're at school. You only have to sit there and look remotely interested," Hermione sighed as she sat up and looked at him. Draco grimaced but then nodded reluctantly.

Five minutes later McGonagall opened the door to her office with a stern expression on her face.

"Take a seat," she clipped. Draco swallowed his irrational fear and sat down next to Hermione. "I received a letter from Madame Pomfrey telling me that you two are going to become parents...Now while I am proud that you two have managed to overcome your differences, this is not the best way to go about it. Madame Pomfrey has told me you are six weeks along…now I want to make sure that you have both considered your options very seriously-,"

"We are not going to murder our child Professor," Draco growled, glaring at McGonagall as her lips pressed into a thin line.

"Are you sure about this Miss Granger?" McGonagall asked, turning her gaze from Draco to Hermione.

"Yes I'm sure. I couldn't kill my child," Hermione answered fiercely.

"Okay well since you're both sure here is what I can do for you both… Firstly all the Professors will need to be informed but they are all under a binding spell so they cannot share confidential details of any student here at the school with anyone who isn't already aware, that's been in place for years. Secondly, for now there is no reason why you don't attend your classes as normal, when you begin to show, I will teach you a range of concealing spells to hide your bump until you begin to show more physical evidence of your pregnancy than just a bump. When reach your final trimester, I will advise that you no longer attend classes, the reason you don't attend class is up to you, but your work will be owled to you the night before. Your exams you shall sit in my office, and hopefully this should all pass over the head of the student body undetected," McGonagall said crisply as she got up from her desk and made her way over to a bookshelf and pulled out a little leather bound book. "I would suggest you both read this." McGonagall handed the book to Hermione who took it with a curious gleam in her eye, Draco just looked at his professor.

"Thanks professor," Draco answered quietly. McGonagall looked at him and then nodded.

"Not a problem Mr Malfoy, come to me if you need me yes? Now it is getting late, I trust you can find your common room," McGonagall said with a small smile. Draco stood up and Hermione stood up with him and they quickly left together.
