"Adam Taurus?" I asked out loud. This was the same name that I had seen on the poster earlier.
"Do you mean to tell me that you're connected to that filth!?" Weiss shouted. I was taken aback by how aggressively Weiss had become. Even Yang stared in awe as our normally calm friend turned red in the face.
Blake looked away with her head down and continued to say nothing.
"More than that!" The pilot taunted. "She's one of his lieutenants! Tell your friends about the little incident back at Forever Fall!"
"THAT WAS YOU?" Weiss screamed. Yang and I watched in disbelief as Weiss grabbed Blake by her chin and forcefully moved her head so that the two would look at each other eye-to-eye.
Blake jerked her head and slapped Weiss's hand away.
"He's lying!" I shouted. "Blake told me that she could be trusted! There's an explanation for all of this. Right, Blake?"
I looked at Yang for support, but she just looked at me with a half-frown. My eyes went back to Blake. She had her head down again and refused to look at any of us.
"Do either of you people even know what kind of creature Adam Taurus is?" Weiss asked Yang and I.
We both stared blankly at her.
"He's known as the White Fang's 'red fury' and he also commands the White Fang's Vale battalion. The Schnee Dust Company has been frequently targeted by his little operations. They say he's completely ruthless towards those he sees as enemies…slicing them down without a second thought…."
Yang and I could only watch as Weiss's normally pouty face twisted into an angry scowl. I still couldn't get over the thought of Blake being associated with someone like that, especially if he was as bad as Weiss described him.
"Is all this true?" I asked Blake. "Do you really follow this guy?"
Blake continued to look away.
"She's not going to answer," said Weiss. She walked over to Blake and shoved her face directly in Blake's ear. "You probably hate me for being a Schnee, don't you? I know all about the White Fang's operations to destroy our factories and steal the dust supplies for themselves! We have to deal with the 'White Justice' in Atlas! Do you think I like having to be escorted by an armed militia because of a possible attack! Or do you all blindly follow the words of your dear leader?"
Blake stood up so suddenly that Weiss gasped a little in surprise. "You don't know anything about me or what I've been through!" Blake shouted. "So far all you've done is assume things about me based on people I don't associate with anymore! Have you ever thought about the Faunus working in those factories? Not every Faunus on Remnant adores Sang Ghari or the things he does!"
"Hey!" The pilot shouted to us, "You two better shut up already because we're here!"
We all looked out the window to see a mansion facing us. I'd heard about it being owned by someone who was both respected and feared in Vale. It had an unusual architecture that stood out from what you'd see in Vale. The way its roofs arched made it look almost like a castle. Surrounding the mansion was a friendly garden and a driveway that looked like it'd never been driven on.
"This doesn't look good," said Yang.
"And the fact that we're captives in an Airbus did?" asked Weiss.
"Get out of here!" The pilot called out. "The boss isn't a very patient man!"
I turned once more at Blake and frowned. She really wasn't going to look at me this entire time. I wasn't mad as much as her lying hurt me.
"GO!" The pilot shouted. I turned around and followed the others out.
We all left the airbus and were greeted by a small army of armed guards. There had to be about twenty of them on each side. They all dressed in the same black uniforms I'd seen before.
"These people really think this is enough to contain us…" Yang remarked.
I agreed with her. We'd dealt with so much worse in the past.
The mansion doors slowly opened and two people walked out. One of them was a small girl with pink and brown hair, carrying an umbrella by her side. The man who walked out with her was someone I didn't expect to ever see again. It was Roman Torchwick.
"Ahhh, little red!" Roman smiled. "Did you miss me already?"
"Who the hell is this creep?" asked Yang.
Roman curled his nose at her and smirked. "Well, you've got quite a feisty mouth on you."
"What is it you want from us?" I asked.
Roman chuckled and crossed his arms. "Isn't it obvious?" he asked. "I'm here to make an example out of you! Nobody humiliates the Torchwick and gets off that easily."
Weiss groaned and glared at me. "This is why you need constant supervision," she murmured. "Leave you alone for one night and you pick a fight with a crime syndicate."
"What does Blake have to do with this?" I asked.
Roman cocked his head at first and then smirked once he spotted Blake. "She's the one who led me to you. Her little friend told me that his informants spotted her with you."
Roman stepped closer to us with a confident swagger. It was like he had enough confidence to believe that none of us could touch him if we tried. My nerves were on constant alert in case he tried anything.
Blake pathetically lifted her head and looked into Roman's eyes as he continued to smirk.
"I've got a friend here who's been dying to see you," he laughed. "Come on out!"
The doors opened once again and a Faunus walked out with a small army behind him as well. This Faunus was tall with red hair and a strange mask covering his face. At his side was what appeared to be a sword.
"You!" Weiss shouted. "White Fang scum!"
The man looked calmly in her direction and stared. "You're Weiss Schnee, aren't you?"
"Don't act like you don't know me!" Weiss snapped. "You animals have been following my family since you began your little operation!"
Adam turned to Roman and said, "Please shut her up. I'm not interested in her right now."
Roman gave a little nod in Weiss's direction. We were all taken by surprise when the girl by his side attacked Weiss. She moved so quickly that it was like a gust of wind had blown past us. The girl jumped on Weiss and slammed her into the sidewalk.
"Hey!" I shouted. "What was that for?"
"She annoyed me," said Adam. "Blake…I was really hoping I wouldn't have to see you again. You joined the White Fang by taking the pledge, understanding that Lord Ghari treats going AWOL as treason. I let you go…and here I find you again…working with the Schnee family!"
"I didn't like what the White Fang became!" Blake shouted. I was taken by surprise once again, this time because Blake hadn't said a single word since we arrived and now she was speaking with so much emotion in her voice.
"We were a force to protect Menagerie and build our communities! Sang Ghari turned it into his own police force to carry out what he wants for himself!"
Adam's chin clenched at Blake's words. He took a step towards her and clenched both of his fists. "How dare you say such a thing about Lord Ghari and the White Fang! It is my duty as a member of the White Fang to carry out his wishes for the sake of our country, of our people!"
Blake looked down and turned her head away. "I don't want any part of it," she whispered.
Adam's mouth dropped into a small frown at what Blake had said.
Roman clasped his hands together and laughed. "So much drama," he said. "But I think it's time for me to take care of Red and the others. You can do whatever you want with the girl."
"No you're not!" I shouted.
"Excuse me?" Roman glared at me. "Do you really think you'll be as lucky as you were during our last encounter?"
"I have no idea," I said bluntly. "All I know is that I'm not letting you take care of us that easily."
"I was waiting for you to say something like that," said Yang, cracking her knuckles in anticipation.
"I have no issues with taking down some White Fang filth," said Weiss.
Blake looked at me with defeated eyes and mouthed, "run," to me. I really hated seeing her looking so desperate. That look alone gave me enough of a drive to save her.
"Looks like your teammates are as brain-dead as you are," said Roman. "Such a shame that you won't make it out of here alive."
