Chapter Twelve
The Age of Angels
"Good, good." Red exclaimed, taking in his students' caught Pokémon, "You've all now experienced firsthand the suffering I had to endure when I was a kid too. Now go on back to the mansion; I'll clean up things here."
With that, the students depart from the Plain, their bodies sore and aching from a long day of capturing Pokémon. The moon starts to rise higher into the sky as within the Mansion, things start to liven up once more with the arrival of the new recruits. Toshiro sighs as Mazy drags him into the Dining Hall, and face to face with Isaac. The spectacled teen smugly smiles at the Spirit Weapon as Mazy introduces the two.
"Wipe that smile off your face," Toshiro growled.
"Oh bite me," came the reply.
"I see you two will get along just fine," Mazy smiles as she walks over to the food prepared by the Alloys.
Toshiro sighs to himself as Isaac turns his eyes into slits, suspiciously eying the Spirit Weapon. The boy turns and notices Isaac doing it. He stares back, looking through glass and into the angels' soul. The two end up in a stare down.
"Were you checking me out?" Toshiro mutters.
"W-WHAT?" Isaac shrieks, "NO!"
"Looked like it. Anyways, I'll be off. Glad to meet you, Isaac; I'll be in the Lounge if you need me."
"Son of a…"
Suddenly, from the crowds gathering within the room, Storm runs up to her brother, giving him a very big hug. She smiles and ruffles the older boy's hair, putting him into a headlock. The boy chuckles as his head is pummeled with light noogies and punches. The female warrior retracts and pats her brother on the shoulder, and pokes his belly.
"Humph," Storm pouted, "You said you'll have abs by the time you'll get here."
"Stop it!" Isaac blushes.
"Hahaha. Anyways, where's Vincent? I never noticed him giving in his Pokémon, and I've never seen him and his Rayquaza anywhere."
"Uhm…"
The Lost Woods
"D-Don't blink," Vincent shudders as darkness surrounds him, several statues of angels covering their face, as if weeping, surrounding him.
The Reaper takes out a few daggers and readies them in his hands, sweat dripping from his head. He clenches his heart, longing for any sign of his lover or his girlfriend. He looks around him, eyes still very much open. Then, it happens. He blinks. At once, he looks all around him, taking note of the statues.
They've moved.
Thoughts race through the young man's head as the moon is covered over by a few stray clouds, blanketing the Woods with darkness. Vincent widens his eyes, and opens his palm, igniting a fire that covered it. He looks around him and pales.
The statues are closer.
"Ngh…T-Toshiro…Storm…" Vincent cries as he sends out a few daggers into a statue, the weapons merely bouncing off the stone and hitting the ground.
Smash Mansion
"SHARK WEEK!" Link exclaims into Zelda's face, "SHARK WEEK'S HERE! PLEASE CAN WE GO WATCH IT WITH THE OTHER SMASHERS?"
"No, Link," Zelda sighs, "Remember what happened last year? You stayed in the Lounge for the entire week that thing's been on. Please just remain here."
"Bu-But Zelda!" Link cries out, tears actually forming within his electric blue eyes, "I want to watch it!"
"Oh Link, I feel a bit…kinky tonight."
"Zelda! I want Shark Week! Please don't make me choose between sex and sharks!"
"I want that big thing in me, my Hylian Hero."
"NGH! ZELDA!"
"Please, Rinku. I really want you."
"B-BUT THE SHARKS! But then you…BUT THE SHARKS! B-But then…"
"I'll even do whatever you want…"
"E-Even that thing I've always wanted to do?"
"Your choice, Hero."
"ARGH! F-Fine…Shark Week can wait."
A knock is heard from the two Hylians door. Without a sign of approval, Fox walks into the room, catching the two lovers off guard. The space pilot pales at the sight of Link dressed in a school girl uniform being spanked by Zelda in Ganondorf's armor. Fox twitches and slumps onto the ground.
"Y-Yknow…Storm and Toshiro…never mind," Fox says weakly as Zelda spanks Link on his bottom.
Lost Woods' Entrance
"W-Why'd you bring me out here, Toshiro?" Storm grumbles, stretching her body.
"Because…He's in there," the Spirit Weapon whispers harshly, "Vincent…we're coming."
The Spirit Weapon and the warrior both blink in unison and in their faces appear a group of statues, each resembling an angel; their faces covered by their hands. The two fighters ready themselves as they blink once and once again the statues move closer, this time the angels uncovering their faces. Toshiro sternly frowns as he looks at the girl next him, she looks back, fear in her eyes. They quickly turn to the angels, now only mere inches from their noses, their faces turned into some kind of demonic figure of a human.
"Weeping Angels…" Toshiro grits his teeth, "What're they doing here."
The Spirit Weapon blinks once again, to see Storm behind him and writing upon the ground; the angels pointing to it.
The child must be destroyed.
"Vincent?" Toshiro screams as he blinks, letting the stone angels write, "Why?"
Reality is falling. It cannot repair itself like it has done so before. We shall save all of creation itself by finishing off the boy.
"I SAID WHY!"
Because death is the solution; the final solution.
The Spirit Weapon stares as the stone angels, complete malice in his eyes. He blinks once more, showing no fear of the silent assassins. The angels are now on the ground, as if afraid of some sort of being. The angels themselves show fear, covering their eyes. Storm tugs at Toshiro's shirt, and as the Spirit Weapon turns, he is impacted by the surge of lightning. As the young man is thrown into a tree, more lightning strikes the ground and the Weeping Angels, shattering them into pieces. Storm looks up to see the vague image of a man in a pinstripe suit.
"We shall arise," a wheezing, crackling sound enters Storm's ears as she readies her sword.
"S-Storm!" Toshiro calls out weakly.
The young girl turns to see her friend battered, a large splinter coming out of the young man's side. Blood runs down the boy's body, staining his clothes with its crimson essence. Storm turns back to face the being that wrought pain to Toshiro, but it has disappeared. Soon, more lightning strikes the ground, followed by a major downpour, washing Toshiro's blood into the ground. Strom shakes her head and runs over to her injured friend, running her hands over his still muscular body. Toshiro winces as Storm attempts to pull out the large piece of wood stuck onto his side. He looks up, rain falling onto his face as a remaining Weeping Angel stands over the two. The Spirit Weapon blinks and the Angel disappears, leaving a carving onto the piece of wood stuck into Toshiro.
The child will still die.
With that, Storm's hands are now covered in blood; all because of Toshiro's wound. The warrior tries to pry the wood from Toshiro's side, but is stopped by a pair of boyish hands on the splinter. Storm turns her head to see Vincent, torn and bruised. He holds Toshiro's hand as he slowly takes out the wood, the Spirit Weapon on the verge of tears as Vincent holds his hand. Storm calms Vincent as he performs the task, as the piece of wood is removed, stained red. Toshiro looks at his lover and kisses him lightly on the lips, right in front of Storm who gapes at the sight. Vincent shakes off the kiss and waves his hand over the large wound on Toshiro, immediately closing it. Toshiro gets one last good look at Vincent and Storm as he falls into oblivion, and is carried home by the two.
The next day, Vincent watches over Toshiro within the Infirmary joined by Isaac, Storm and Mazy. He cuffs the older boy's pale face and sighs sadly as he looks at the bandages covering the young man's side. Mazy cries in Isaac's arms as Storm puts a hand upon her boyfriend's shoulder.
"He'll get better," Storm speaks softly, "Trust me."
"No…it won't."
"It will."
"Do you think his broken heart will heal?" Vincent screams, "Do you think he'll be able to take any more emotion after I left him before?"
"W-What?"
"Humph. Your brother will give you the details."
With that, Vincent storms out of the room, following behind him his two mentors Bowser and Ganondorf. The warlock clenches his fists and stares at Isaac, his amber eyes narrowed to slits. The Koopa and the Gerudian stay silent as they follow their student, passing by other Smashers and recruits until they arrive at Samus' Laboratory.
"Are the preparations ready…" Vincent grimly speaks, not turning to either villain on his side.
"Yes," Ganon growls as a holographic monitor appears in front of him, "The Subspace Bombs are ready to be deployed."
"Good…Isaac will pay."
Author's Note: I told Wolfie that there'll be tension between Vincent and Isaac. Now it's turned into murder. And for The Warrior of The Healing Flame, here's some Weeping Angels for ya. Well I've made another story arc, YAY! And I hope Riks gets back here...etc.
