Ch.12 As the Sun Rises

"Stop it"

"I'm just asking."

"No, you're meddling."

"That's the same thing."

"No, asking is to inquire to invite! Meddling is to be nosy, and intrusive!"

"Just tell me."

"Leave it alone."

"Why?"

"Damnit, just Drop it!"

"Fine…"

"Thank You!"

"…"

"…"

"So did you date him or not?"

"For the love of …! Gosh Gaara! Why must you be…ARGH!...What is it? Are you jealous or something?!"

So yay we have now came full circle from the beginning of this rather long story of two unlikely people getting mixed up in a web of lies and love…but as the reader you can see that this web is now all tangled and rather confusing…which is a lie and which is truth.

Yet the real question is… now that the web has been spun will it hold up and last or fall away with into nothing when a rough gush of wind passes through?

"Jealous?" Gaara snapped with a glare. "Fuck no, why would I be jealous of that tranny?"

Terra gave him a dull look before going back to wiping off the makeup her aunt and friend piled onto her face. "Don't call him that, it is rude."

"Rude, rude? How is it rude when I didn't even know you knew the Akatsuki?"

"That's because, I don't know the Akatsuki! I just knew Deidara!"

"Who is in the Akatsuki!"

"I never knew that, all I knew is that he had whacky friends, I never really meet them." Terra sighs as she walked into, their…Or was it Gaara's…bedroom and plopped on the mattress. "I would, sometimes, answer Deidara's phone when they would call and that's how we all got to know each other, that and through Deidara's loud ass mouth."

Gaara watched as she giggles crawling into bed next to him, and for a split second watching her crawl toward him in nothing but a gold nighty with her green eyes shining with laughter nearly made him forget why he was mad….nearly.

"Deidara would talk about them all the time and they would tell me that he blabbed to them about me." She laid down next to Gaara staring up at the ceiling with a smile that seemed to piss him off more, since it wasn't him that put that smile there. "We were all friends without officially meeting, now that they're here, just ahhhh!" She squeals kicking out her legs giggling.

"So…did you date him?"

Her smiled dropped and Gaara grinned.

"No, Gaara we didn't date." She sighs.

Grumbling under his breath, he got up and gathering his things for a shower. "Just don't let your boyfriend ruin our plan, father only ended the dinner early because of that crazy one yelling and cursing, he'll still be watching."

"Oh, you mean Hidan, haha he so freakin funny." She snickers, fueling Gaara rage as he glared at her hotly, reminding Terra of the times in the beginning when they couldn't stand the other.

"You know what Gaara you need to calm you ass down and stop!" Terra snapped at him standing on the bed, so she could for once, tower over him. "Deidara and I never dated; I don't know why you won't believe me."

"So I'm just supposed to believe that you two had a platonic relationship…a friendly relationship so close that you could communicate without words, fuck, just one look and he knew the whole fucking plan and even got his whole group to follow along!"

"Yes!" She shouted stomping her foot like a child.

"Well I'm calling bullshit!" Gaara shouted; deep down he knew he was acting out of sorts but just seeing how the two got along so well and seemingly to complete the other…it was like looking at two halves of a whole. It pissed him off…and well it also made him worry what if…what if she leaves him for that blonde!

He didn't feel like this with Kabuto…maybe it's because Kabuto didn't have that type of relationship with Terra, hell she didn't even glance at Kabuto when he spoke, not once did she take her eyes off the blonde… it was like Gaara didn't even exist anymore…and that alarmed him…

Gaara glared harder at her wishing these new feelings away.

"Well then I'm calling you an asshole!" She shouted pointing her finger in his face. "Deidara is like an older brother! He cared for me when I couldn't care for myself; he got me out of so much shit…Deidara is half the reason why you have a fake wife!"

And there just like that all his reasons to fight were gone Gaara blinked. "W…What?" he breathes softly.

Glaring at him she huffed through her nose before grabbing his face in her hands gently. "I owe Deidara so much, yet he just happy to keep giving…I can never repay him back for all that he has done…he's my big brother…" She smiles softly rubbing her thumb over his cheeks, her eyes in the distance past, before they moved to his.

"Plus you crazy dope," She smiles as she tilts her head, her autumn orange locks curtaining them both as she leans down from her added height. "I'm faked married to you…not him." She whispers as his hands slide up the back of her thighs and her nose bumped his lightly…

When something crashed…"Holy damn, this shit is fucking dope as hell!"

"I bet it cost too damn much!"

"Hey look the fridge is stock! Yo they got caviar!"

"Tobi get your ass out the pool! Hmm!"

"It's heated senpai!"

"Oh excuse me, didn't mean to interrupt…" A woman with blue hair, Konan...Terra guesses, mutters softly when she unexpectedly opened the room door. "Nice room."

Sighing Gaara picked up Terra before placing her feet on the floor. "Terra."

"Hehe sorry." She shrugged sheepishly. "I told them to come over but I didn't think they'll come over tonight."

Rubbing, his temple with one hand as the other clenched at her hip, when there was loud bang on the window. "Hey Terra put some clothes on! And you redheaded fuck get your hands off my sister, hmm!" Deidara shouted banging on the window from the patio.

"Argh…you are no longer allowed to bring or tell anyone about our room anymore!"

"Hm, hm ok Gaara." She chuckles kissing his cheek before grabbing a pair of jogging pants and running out the room. "Ok which one of you sent me that one picture of Deidara…"

Once her voice had trailed off Gaara flopped backwards onto the bed. It was going to be a long holiday…

"So that's the whole story." Terra murmurs softly as she looked up at the beautiful scenery, the sun rising from behind Mount Fuji, the sky wondrous swirls of pale blues, bright oranges and soft purples, a thin layer of fog and soft snow fall. This was a once in a life time type of ordeal for people of her status, that couldn't always get the fancy hotels and such jaw dropping views.

Better enjoy it while you can, the ending might just be around the corner.

The thought made her shift uncomfortably in her blankets, holding her hot coco tightly the steam swirling up under her chin. Hearing the chair next to her squeak she looked over to Deidara who whistled with a shake of his head.

"Damn, ok that was a lot." He chuckled shaking his head. "And good job to you on trying to keep him the same, while just adding you to the picture." He nods sipping his own warm drink. "If not they would have smelt the lie like white on rice, hmm."

"Yeah but it was a bitch trying to get him to actually pay attention and remember the shit." She sighed.

"Well ya hard work sure did pay off." He chuckles.

"I guess." She mutters looked down at her melting marshmallows.

"It also sounds like you're in too deep." Deidara murmurs worriedly.

She swirled her drink without comment.

"So this Kabuto fellow; Does he not hold a candle to this redhead, hmm?"

"I'm unsure…"she started. "He funny and smart, very sexy." She smirks, thinking back on their heated kissing sessions.

"But?" Deidara asked as he leaned in. "I feel like there's supposed to be a, but after that."

"But…I don't know…" she shrugged. "I don't know what supposed to be after that." She sighs slumping down in her seat. "Thinking about Kabuto I feel confused, I don't really know what to say or look for…"

"And…with Gaara?"

Terra smiled slowly as she looked into her cup of streaming coco, before shrugging. "I don't know…" She smiled. "He's an ass, stubborn to a fault, picky on what he eats and wears, a homebody to the point I'm sure he can live in one room and be happy…he's an insomniac! Like a real one, the dude can't sleep and if he does it's like for only a few hours."

She sipped her coco before starting up again. "Oh and at night it's like he becomes a chatter box, it's not much he says but it's enough to get annoying when you're trying to sleep…He's bossy too…"

Deidara slowly grinned as he leaned forward into her space. "It's so obvious Terra."

"How is it obvious?!" Terra frowns sitting up straight. "Gaara is damn annoying; with Kabuto we get along and have a great time without arguing." She snorts thinking back to all the times her and Gaara had argued over something so small.

"You and Gaara have chemistry, hm." Deidara replied simply.

Terra shook her head. "No, Kabuto and I have great chemistry! It was like fast friends and we had such fun times hanging out."

Deidara nods. "Yes, that can be true but what makes you think you and Gaara don't have chemistry?"

"I keep telling you we fight all the time, it a battle to just make a decision on where to eat!" She gave a humorless chuckle.

"Just like a married couple."

Her eyes narrowed at him. "Meaning what?"

Deidara smiles leaning back into his seat looking out into the scenery. "Have you ever wondered how people who argue so much be together?"

"Yeah, I'm sure everyone does."

"The answer is very simple." He mutters. "It's passion, hmm."

"Passion? How is passion the answer?"

"Passion can mean many things, a passionate love or a passionate hatred; it means to have intense feeling for something." He hummed softly as he shifted in his chair wrapping his blanket tighter around himself. "It logical that people come to the conclusion that arguing is bad. We never associate romance and true love with couples that argue. We picture the perfect couple to never have an argument; they are in constant harmony, agreeing with everything and just being 'happily ever after'."

Terra stared at Deidara as he spoke before turning to look at the ever slowly rising sun, Deidara never talks like this, unless it was serious.

"So people tends to think their relationship is in trouble when "we argue all the time" comes up. But I think…it's not their arguing but how they argue that holds the clues as to whether they're likely to last or not." He finally looked over to her.

"Well when me and Gaara argue its like he nit picking at me and he just sits there with this damn tiny smirk on his face where I just want to slap it off…then he just continues and continues." She sighs rubbing her temples just thinking about the young man.

"He then always has a rebuttal to something! He can never take anything at face value!" she continued in a low mutter.

"Hahah Ter my gosh, you're so dimwitted at times" He laughed hard. "He purposely getting you mad!"

"What! Why?" She snapped whirling around to face him her eyes burning like green flames, her hair snaking around her with the wind, giving her an otherworldly look.

"Because, hmm, you're so animated!" He snickers.

"I'm not animated!" She snapped as her head ticked to the left her arm swiping wide to the right as she raised a brow.

"…" His smile grows bigger.

"Shut up!" she barked her face going blank of emotion.

"I believe he may like watching the emotions going over face."

"Well if that is the case it would explain a lot actually." She mutters.

Chuckling Deidara reaches over patting her head like a child. "I wish people would stop viewing arguing as a negative element to a relationship. Arguing could mean that your relationship is in better standing, compared to a couple that never argue."

She frowned at that "Why?"

"Arguing is just another way people can express their views and opinions. A shouting match means that there is communication."

"Kabuto and I talk all the time."

"Yes, but have you both ever had an argument?" Deidara stated. "If there is barely a heated conversation, it could mean that one or both persons don't feel that they can express themselves. They have uncertainty whether they can be truthful about their feelings and have the other actually listen and take in what is being said and have the other respect their opinion, and still be love."

Terra blinked as she looked down at her now cold coco, running her teeth down the bottom of her teeth, as a bit of unsettlement filled her belly.

Deidara noticed her look, seemingly it must have finally dawned on her. He continue softly "A lack of argument can also stand as a lack of commitment. Not caring about the durability of the relationship with someone, some might just keep their head down, ignoring anything that comes up because, it won't matter in the end."

Licking the front of her teeth, she watched the stream rise up from the heated pool, as the dread filled her belly more. It was just like Katy said, even if Terra told her that what was happening between her, Gaara and Kabuto as if it was a book, Katy did say that 'Linda' was just lusting after 'Killian' and there might have been no real connection.

Terra shifted uncomfortably, Deidara hasn't said anything just watching the sun rise. She looked down at her cold cup of coco. Could it rally be that she was only lusting after Kabuto, filling in the blankets that she couldn't reach with Gaara?

Not able to take much of see her suffer any longer Deidara finally deiced to spell it out for her. "Terra stop struggle please, I can smell your brain frying from here." He laughs at her glare. "Hun, you're falling for Gaara, Kabuto's old news."

She shook her head. "No, that be it and how can you be so sure, there is something there with Kabuto and it's not just lust."

"People do get the feeling confused, love and lust go hand in hand, I believe it was lust driving your relationship on with Kabuto. Don't get me wrong, hm, lust can turn into love and sometime it won't."

Terra grabbed a lock of her hair yanking on it slightly.

"You and Gaara built your whole relationship on passing as a married couple and in doing so you both gotten to know each other inside and out, you built a foundation to stand on and once that was set you finally began to notice him, as a man and not as a person making you do something, hmm."

She looked back out at the sun rise. "You and Kabuto only ever spent together was either lipped locked or with the twins. Never pushing it to be more, because Terra you knew you had to make this 'marriage' believable so you saw no reason to push it further, you both found it easier not to bring it up what you and Gaara were trying to do, maybe in the beginning you did, hmm, but as time went on did you both ever go back to talk more about it?"

She shook her head 'No' to his rhetorical question as she chewed the inside her cheek.

"Was it the uncertainty whether you could be truthful about your feelings and have Kabuto actually listen and take in what you're saying and have the other respect, and still like you?"

Terra sagged in on herself as if the weight on her shoulders were suddenly lifted, she knew the answer along but was just too scared to admit it, too scared to realize what it meant.

Deidara stood as the sun was now fully risen and the birds were chirping at the start of a new day. "You're in love with Gaara dear little sister, hmm and Kabuto, well he was swept under the rug like unwanted dirt." He chuckles rubbing her hair.

"I…I can't…" She shook her head, not she couldn't be this would complicate things so much!

"Yes it would complicate, you and Gaara's plans" He answered her statement she didn't know she spoke aloud.

Snapping her head up to look at him as his eyes closed to enjoy the heat on his face. "But we can't pick who we fall in love with, if we did, hmm, well the world would be so much simpler…and lot less exciting." He leaned down with a smirk as he pushed her head down forcing her to look up at him through her lashes.

"You only live once little sister so make it count and go out with an evanescent of a bang!"
