Well, for the first time in a while, I'm happy to report that I'll be able to finish two stories that I have on my 'Complete One Incomplete Story A Month' list for this month of June! This is pretty exciting and it gives me hope for next month! Why's that? You'll understand when I get to the end! Anyway, enjoy!
It was night time at the Jefferson County Middle School gymnasium, as the dance was underway. Many people were dancing along to the music that the DJ provided as every couple was dancing along happily to... and for the people that weren't dancing, they merely talked and chatted, having a very good time overall.
But nobody had more fun than the couple that had arrived to the dance a little earlier than usual, with a prepared backpack in hand just in case something would short circuit or explode inside the gymnasium. Indeed, Milo, wearing a nice little black tuxedo with black pants, and Melissa, wearing a violet dress with her red sash and red rose carnation around her neck were currently at the dance floor, enjoying their first dance as an official couple.
"You know, Melissa, I feel pretty happy just being with you right now." Milo gave a small smile towards his girlfriend.
"Oh, Milo, you have no idea how happy I am just to hear you say that..." Melissa gave a giggle as the two continued to dance. As they did so, Milo couldn't help but notice that not too far away from where they were, Zack and Amanda were happily dancing together with each other. Milo gave a smile as he turned Melissa around. "Well, Melissa, take a look behind my shoulder here."
Melissa did so as she gave a little smile. "You know, in a weird way, I sort of bet that Amanda would ask Zack out. Don't ask me why, just a... gut feeling I have. Gee, and I almost got jealous because she took you over to that well that day."
"The well..." Milo paused as his eyes widened. "Oh, that reminds me. Melissa, are you feeling okay?"
"Huh? I'm fine, Milo. Why do you ask?" Melissa raised an eyebrow.
"Well... when we had that... fight that day, I learned that Bradley made a wish that you would fall for him." Milo explained sheepishly.
Melissa's eyes widened in shock as she gritted her teeth, just a bit. "That would explain part of why I kept getting close to him... but then again, maybe not."
"Don't get too mad at Bradley. I'm sure he didn't mean what he did... whatever he did, he seemed to have reversed the wish." Milo explained.
Melissa shook her head in surprise as she looked towards her boyfriend. "You really think he did? Why?"
"Well, turns out, wishes can come true in that fountain... time relic, you understand." Milo simply said.
"Ah, something related to the time travelers that usually come here, got you." Melissa nodded, calming down a little. "But... what changed Bradley's mind, unless..."
Melissa's eyes widened... before she gave a laugh. "Oh my gosh, of course! My wish!"
"Huh?" Milo asked in confusion.
"I made a wish after you, Amanda and Mort left the well and I wished for Bradley to be more reasonable. I think my wish somehow collided with his, and his morality told him that it wasn't right of him to do that to you or me! So in a way, I suppose he got his karma!" Melissa laughed.
Milo paused. "Actually... do you really think it WAS your wish that did Bradley in, or did Bradley actually come to terms on his own?"
Melissa blinked in confusion as she looked at Milo, stopping her feet for a minute. "Why do you say that?"
"Take a look." Milo gave a grin as he pointed over to the entrance of the gymnasium. Melissa turned around quickly and her eyes widened as she saw Bradley coming in, holding a very happy Lydia by the hand.
"Lydia? And Bradley? Together?" Melissa asked as she put both hands on her head and did a 'mind blown' motion.
"I guess when it comes down to it, maybe Bradley is finally realizing that... maybe you're just not his type." Milo shrugged.
"I could have told him that." Melissa frowned a little. "But... whether it was the wish or not, I don't know, but I feel that Bradley won't be bugging you or me for quite a while."
Milo gave a chuckle. "Heh, I suppose not..." Milo paused. "You are going to go back to the well and reverse your wish, right?"
Melissa rolled her eyes. "What, and ruin the moment?"
"Melissa..." Milo raised an eyebrow towards his frizzy haired girlfriend.
Melissa sighed as she looked towards the jinx. "Fine. I'll reverse the wish tomorrow. But tonight... I just want to have a fun night! Preferably... full of Murphy's Law?"
All of a sudden, the DJs record player short circuited because of a thrown glass of punch that covered the entire player. Milo gave a grin. "Speaking of which... shall we?"
"Let's." Melissa gave a grin as the two of them started to go off, Milo grabbing his backpack as he helped the DJ.
Nearby, Amanda and Zack watched the couple as they were doing their best to help with the DJ as the boy gave a grin. "Well, I'm glad I got my wish..."
"Everything worked out in the end?" Amanda fluttered her eyes towards her boyfriend.
"You bet." Zack gave a grin as he paused. "Though I can't help but feel I should get something for my wish having come true..."
Amanda gave a shy smile as she kissed Zack on the cheek, surprising the former boy singer. "Is that good enough?"
Zack blushed a bit as he turned towards the Hispanic and grinned. "You smell of strawberries, Amanda. I like it."
Amanda giggled as she pulled Zack closer as another musical number started up. "Come on, sweetheart. Let's dance the night away."
Zack laughed as he and Amanda continued to dance amongst the others...
All the while, Bradley was standing near the punch table, looking over towards Milo and Melissa as they seemed to be helping make the music up as they go along, Milo with his accordion and Melissa with a double neck guitar as the DJ continued to move his records around his table. Bradley couldn't help but smile, looking at the two having fun together as he said to himself, "Hmmm... I may not like him, but I know he makes her happy..."
"What was that, Bradley?" Lydia asked as she walked over to the boy in curiosity.
"Oh... nothing important, Lydia." Bradley said as he turned towards Amanda's friend. "Out of curiosity, why me?"
"Oh, I don't know... I guess I find your wit and brains rather... uh... cute?" Lydia chuckled nervously, surprising the boy.
"Really?" Bradley asked, blushing a bit. "Honestly, nobody has ever called me cute before..."
Lydia blushed a little as Bradley smiled towards the girl, before offering his hand. "Care to dance?"
"Of course." Lydia giggled as she took him by the hand as he led her to the dance floor as everybody was now having a good time...
As the dance went on, with some interference from Murphy's Law aside, everyone had learned a big important lesson that week, that wishes are nice, but sometimes, even the thing you wish for isn't exactly what you want. Sometimes, people have to understand their true needs before anything else... and as Bradley was slowly falling for the giggling Lydia, Amanda and Zack growing more closer together than they ever had before... and Milo and Melissa having fun together keeping the Spring Dance all straightened out, these kids would leave the dance, with these lessons in mind...
As for what happens after that... well, that is another story for another time...

An Orange-Ratchet Fanfiction
And that is it, the story is done! How did you guys like it? Time for my final thoughts overall!
This story I wrote back in 2016, around the time the early Season One was beginning, and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this story... however, after two chapters, I kind of blanked out and moved on to other projects for a couple of years. After finishing up the true 'Complete One Incomplete Story A Month' story for June, and seeing that the runner-up was this, I knew I needed to put my focus on what I originally planned. I am aware of Season Two, but I wanted to write for it as if it were in Season One, which is why Bradley doesn't have his plant arm and Doofenshmirtz is not in this story, and why Cavendish and Dakota are still time travelers. But still, a lot more episodes aired since, so I wrote this up as a way for the story to make sense, plus, I figured that it would be an interesting story to see Milo not have his Murphy's Law traits, even if it was for one story. Despite all that, though, I knew the wishing fountain was going to be the focal point of the story, so that's why I did what I did. All in all, I'm glad I was able to wrap this story up in June, and just in time too. For all you Milolissa fans, I hope you enjoyed the story!
As for what I'm doing next... well, next month is July, and if you haven't guessed by now, the stories I will be focusing on for 'Complete One Incomplete Story A Month' will be Tokyo Mew Mew related... starting with "Pudding Loves Chicken Chimera Animas"! I'll still work on other stories, but Tokyo Mew Mew is mainly going to take my interest for July. Don't worry, there will be a poll in August for ten new random stories! Just keep an eye out when it comes up!
Anyway, thank you all for reading, and have a very wonderful day!
