Disclaimer: I own nothing….

A/N: This is it... the last chapter... I'm sorry for the long wait many of you have experienced and I hope this story lived up to your expectations. I had a lot of fun writing it. Hopefully you enjoyed reading it.

Last time on Twisted Love:

"Please Honda I'm begging you.." He leaned back against the other side of the cage.

"If he has you it's all been for nothing!" Hiroto climbed inside. "Don't you get it?! Everything I've done has been for you…" his hand trailed down the blonde's cheek and jawline like before. "To protect." His voice was frustrated, angry. "You!" Honda's rough fingers curled around Jounouchi's neck, his other hand quickly followed suit.

"Stop." Katsuya gasped, his weak weighted hands trying to push him away.

"I have to keep you safe!" Honda yelled at him. "You won't be safe with him! I have to keep him from taking you!" His grip tightened. "You'll be safe now." His voice wavered. "He can't have you.." Jou's eyes slowly began to close. The noise of chains moving against metal ceased. It was quiet for a moment.

Forgiveness

Shakily, Honda set down the man that no longer moved.

What just.. What did I…? He stared at the pale man in front of him. No one… no one can hurt you now… you're safe…

"He's …" The faint cry of sirens fell on deaf ears. Not even the front door nearly exploding off of its hinges was enough to pull him out of his own head.

"Fucking bastard!" Kaiba wrenched Honda out of the metal contraption, throwing him on the floor and pounding his fist into him. Mokuba and Yugi crawled into the cage to check on their friend who was a bit too still. Yugi cried mostly and held Jou's hand while Mokuba attempted to determine his current state. Yami worked on prying the elder Kaiba off of the psycho.

"He's safe now." Hiroto sat up spitting out the blood that had pooled in his mouth. "You can't have him." He looked up at the red eyed pharaoh as came closer. "I protect—" Yami shut him up with a swift kick to the head.

The Kaiba private police entered the scene soon after, accompanied by paramedics who examined the blond more thoroughly. Stating that he was alive, but barely, they quickly loaded him in the ambulance and sent him to the nearest hospital.

Later, Honda admitted to everything, revealing this had been a plan in the works for much long the six months Otogi had quoted before.

First, he stalked his obsession, waiting for just the right moment. When his opportunity finally arose, he used it to his full advantage.

Jou wobbled on the sidewalk, cautiously, quietly, Honda approached. The blond was either sick, or drunk and oh, so vulnerable. Katusya stopped and looked across the street. An ice cream stand? No. There were more people that way.

"Jou!" Hiroto called but wasn't heard. Damn… He huffed but smirked when a car rounded the corner. He jogged to his friend, calling out for him once more, grabbing his wrist he yanked hard, down and towards himself. This caused the blond to slam his head into the curb.

Next, he waited. At the hospital he took care of all Jou's needs, called Yugi when he felt the moment was right, even stepped aside and allowed nurses and doctors to perform their tests without interruption.

When Jou woke up and was released, he was elated to discover that he had completely forgotten about his boyfriend. Better yet, he believed Honda was his lover. Everything was working better than he had expected!

After that he just had to convince Jounouchi to come to his apartment. Shouldn't be too difficult, as long as he had control of their situation, everything would be fine. Hallucinating his father just after a group of noobie fan girls tried to scare him played right into his plans.

Jou needed a safe place. Needed Honda.

Then came the mall. It was difficult, hiring a man to look vaguely like Jounouchi senior to stab his love in the shoulder, but it had to be done. He knew Katsuya wouldn't be convinced by something as flippant as emotional fear. No… the former bully only responded to physical acts.

Honda was his safe place.

What Honda didn't expect, no matter how obvious it was to everyone else, was just how dense his unrequited love was. No matter what happened, he continued to defy him!

But that was ok. He had been prepared for a similar situation. One where the blond resisted…

Honda explained, in his mind, keeping him away from Kaiba was the most important. Seto Kaiba was the root of all the bad things that ever happened to Honda, to Jou, to their relationship. It had to end. And it could only end with Jou. It could only end with…

"Kaiba." Jou smiled seeing his lover.

"Katsuya." The CEO surprised everyone, even himself, when he ran forward, and almost launched himself onto the man in the hospital bed. Wrapping his arms around his love, his body shuddered. Jou held him, fingers gripping the fabric of his coat.

"Seto…" The blond breathed in his scent. "You came for me…" He whispered.

"Of—" Kaiba pulled himself away and looked him the eye. "Of course I came for you. There isn't a force in this world that could keep us apart." He pressed his lips gently against Jou's. The injured man kissed him back, hungrily. They were interrupted by a small cough.

"Guys." Jounouchi smiled at his friends. Yugi burst into tears again and began apologizing relentlessly. It took a good hour for them to both calm him down and explain why he felt the need to apologize in the first place.

The week that followed was filled with recovery, police reports, questions and tons of paper work.

Against Kaiba's better judgment, Katsuya couldn't bring himself to fully press charges against his kidnapper, so, Honda was placed in a psychiatric facility, where he was to remain until it was determined by a panel that he was stable enough to be reintegrated into society.

Once Katsuya felt up to it he was released from the hospital. He hobbled up the steps, crutches making even walking difficult.

"I could have just carried you, you know…" Kaiba gave him a look.

"Shut up! I still have some dignity left!" Jou retorted.

"Spell dignity." The CEO looked down at him. The former delinquent glared and threw one of his crutches at him.

"Shut it Money Bags!" He shouted, the force of which (having nothing at all to do with the fact that his footing slipped), sent him falling backwards. Seto caught him, and handed him his discarded stabilizer.

"Welcome home." He kissed the other man passionately in front of the doors to the Kaiba mansion.

"I'm home." Katsuya blushed, replying when they parted.

"This is a bad idea…" Kaiba complained.

"You've only said that 100 times this morning…" Jou rubbed his forehead with his palm. "You didn't have to come you know…"

"There was no way in hell I was going to let you go alone." Kaiba glared at the road as they walked.

"I won't be alone..." Jounouchi gripped the gift in his hands tighter. He glanced over to his lover before linking arms with him. "My knight in shining armor." He giggled.

"Happy birthday Honda." Jou handed his kidnapper the present he brought. The brunette couldn't bring himself to look him in the eye.

"Th-thanks Jou.." He said opening the packaging. Holding up the book, his lip quivered.

"You said it was your favorite.." Katsuya rubbed his arm self-consciously.

"I did." Honda nodded. "Jou I—" He reached out but stopped suddenly and retracted his hand when half of the people at his 'party' tensed. "I'm sorry…" He said quietly. "All I wanted …" A deep breath in, sincere, teary, chocolate eyes met with big beautiful hazel. "I never meant to hurt you. I didn't want that." Hot tears cascaded down his cheeks. "I'm so sorry for everything I did to you." He hid his face in his hands.

"I know. I understand." Jou's own eyes welled with tears. "You were sick."

"I…" Hiroto swallowed a sob. "I killed you. How can you just forgive me like that?"

"How could I not forgive my best friend?" Honda looked up to see a smiling blond man, the tears in his eyes made them shine even brighter in the sunlight.

A/N: again, sorry it took so long, and thank you for your continued loyalty. Feedback is both welcome and appreciated. I realize my writing skills have suffered in the years that I was away. Honestly watching preschool level tv 24/7 has likely rotted half of my brain away...

I couldn't let Jou die.. and i couldn't help but let Yami take a swing to shut him up. Kaiba likely would have killed him if he had continued and that wouldn't be good... I mean really... Jou finally gets to with him only for him to be convicted of murder? *sigh*

read and review my darlings!~~~~~~
