Thank you everyone for sticking with me all this time! And thanks to all of you for your favs., follows, and reviews! You guys are the best. (: I hope this chapter was worth the wait!
Lol I went back and re-read the story and I loved finding all those errors I had. Guess you can't catch all your mistakes. I suppose that's why people get betas, and I have toyed with the idea before, but I am just not very consistent with my chapters so I didn't think it was a good idea. Oh well.
If no one remembers what the fairy tale is or if you want to know before you read it, at the bottom of the page it states which fairy tale they have entered.
Harry opened his eyes and looked around. Why was everything so blue... and wet? What in the world was he doing in what appeared to be the ocean, and how was he even breathing? Upon closer inspection he noticed he wasn't completely human. "Why am I part fish?! I don't want to be more animals, whether it is full or half animal! Someone had better change me back!" He just had to open his big mouth in the last fairy tale, now look at what happened to him! He felt like ripping all of his hair out.
Harry tried to move using his new fish tail and found himself upside down. "How do you steer this thing?!" It took Harry one insufferable hour to figure out how to go up and down, and left to right without screwing up. When he was satisfied with his progress he looked around. Where in the world was he? Sure he was in the ocean, but where exactly in the ocean was he and where was he supposed to go? He didn't like the idea of staying out in the open, what if something bigger came and tried to eat him? A shiver ran down his spine. He had to get out of this fairy tale fast.
Harry debated with himself for a good five minutes on which way to go and finally decided on the least ominous, which was kind of hard since it all looked very ominous. Harry groaned and ran his hand down his face. He was doomed. Taking a deep breath he trudged forward, constantly looking over his shoulder and constantly surveying the area. As Moody would say, 'constant vigilance'.
Harry yelped in surprise when he heard someone call out his name. He turned around nervously, coming face to face with a yellow and blue fish. "Nice fish?" Harry asked trepidatiously. So much for his 'constant vigilance'.
The fish gave out a sigh followed by what looked like could be a comforting smile, Harry wasn't certain. "It's me, Neville. Apparently I am supposed to act as your guide through these waters, however, I don't really know where anything is. I could help you identify plants, but navigation isn't something I am very good at. I'm sorry Harry."
Harry frowned slightly then shook his head. "It isn't your fault Neville. I just hope we can get out of here alive. It would be nice to find somewhere safe to go at least, instead of being out in the open like this." He wondered if the city of Atlantis existed, he imagined it would if he was a merman. That would probably be the safest place to be. "Hey Nev, do you happen to know where Atlantis might be?"
Neville thought for a moment. "Well, Fate said I should keep going in this direction to find you, and that worked out. So, maybe if we keep going in the same direction I was going we will find civilization. As long as we don't accidentally deviate we may come upon Atlantis. Fate wasn't exactly very helpful." Neville wasn't sure why Fate chose him for this mission, he didn't feel he would be of any help to anyone, but he would just have to deal with the cards he had been dealt and hope for the best.
"Well, that is better than nothing I suppose. Thanks Nev." With that said, the two of them began their long journey for the search of Atlantis. Hoping to not run into anything dangerous along the way.
Voldemort awoke upon a ship, well this was certainly new. What in the world was he doing in the middle of the ocean? He was not very fond of boats, they rocked too much and weren't the most secure forms of transportation.
Looking over the edge, he peered into the water wondering where Harry could be, hoping he was alright. It alarmed him to some degree how attached he had come to the young man in such a short period of time, but at the same time he couldn't be bothered to care. What did agitate him was the fact that it seemed like Fate was never going to allow them to leave from these accursed fairy tales.
His anticipation had been growing about the day he would leave these fairy tales, Harry was practically his. He would finally win this war and have Harry by this side. There was satisfaction in the thought that the one who was supposed to save them all would be their downfall. A malicious smirk formed on his face. He barely had to do anything here, all of Harry's so called friends were doing all the dirty work for him.
Voldemort furrowed his brows, it was a shame to think that who Harry had come to trust were really just using him and didn't have much love for him. And they called him the monster. At least he never lied to Harry, he was always upfront and honest. Before he could dwell on this further however, Lucius approached him.
"My Lord, I know this may not be the best setting, but at least we have a lovely view and fair weather." Lucius knew he may be stepping over the line by having small chat with his Lord, but this boat was so dreadfully boring and none of the other crew had much intelligence.
Voldemort raised an eyebrow. "I suppose it could be much worse, however, I do not believe we will find Harry by sitting on this boat." Who knew how far away they were from land, it could be days before he laid his eyes upon his Harry.
"Perhaps he is in the Ocean, my Lord?" Lucius asked a little nervously, if his master did not approve of this idea, he could find himself seriously injured, or worse, in the water. He did not wish to die by drowning, or being eaten by whatever roamed the sea.
Voldemort stared thoughtfully at the water. Maybe Lucius was right. It seemed very plausible that Harry would be within the confines of the water. If that was the case, it was more likely that Harry would find him far sooner than he would happen upon Harry. "I believe you may be correct Lucius."
After two hours of swimming, they finally happened upon the city of Atlantis. Harry gave out a relieved sigh. So far, so good. They hadn't run into anything nasty along the way, that was a good omen, right? Harry swam to the what looked to be the palace. Hopefully he would find someone in here with answers.
When he came upon the throne room, a look of pure horror crossed his face. This couldn't be happening, anything but that. Why did the person sitting on the throne have to be one Gilderoy Lockhart. There went all his ideas about this going well.
He looked warily at Gilderoy as he was flashed with a smile. "Harry my boy, what a delight to see you. I know our last encounter didn't end well, but it doesn't mean we can't get along now." Harry wanted to gag and remove that blinding smile off Lockhart's face. "Now, I know you have a knack of getting into trouble, so I am entrusting my beautiful secretary to keep an eye on you." He winked at the crab sitting next to the throne.
Harry knew this wasn't going to end well, especially when the crab puffed its chest in pride. He didn't know crabs could do that. "I quite agree. You get into far too much trouble. I will be keeping a very close eye on you." Harry's mouth fell open. Hermione was the crab?! Of course it would have to be a girl, all the girls swooned over Lockhart, but why did it have to be Hermione. This day was turning into a nightmare.
"Now off you kids go, have some fun, but not too much fun." Gilderoy said in a far more joyful tone than was necessary. "Oh, and do remember not to go near the surface, don't want those nasty humans to catch sight of you." With a wink and a wave, Gilderoy swam out of the room.
Harry smiled. Gilderoy may not have realized it, but he just helped Harry in a huge way. Harry was fairly certain now that Voldemort would be a human. Now all he had to do was ditch Hermione, but how was he going to do that? He probably could swim faster than her, that would be a start. But it wouldn't last, Hermione had amazing tracking skills.
Harry whispered his plan on ditching Hermione to Neville, who nodded nervously. Neville didn't like the idea of doing this to Hermione, but he didn't like the thought of Harry being alone in the ocean either. With that taken care of they swam as fast as they could, hoping Hermione wasn't some super crab that would be able to keep up with them.
Once they were out of the city they began to swim upwards. It took far longer than he had planned to get to the surface. By the time he reached the surface he was exhausted. He had never swam so much in his life. Thankfully, Fate seemed to be on his since he could see a boat about 5 miles in the distance. While it wasn't going to be fun to swim, at least he knew where the ship was. With a heavy sigh he began his long trek to the ship.
When he came upon the ship he found a spot he could sit upon that would allow him to peer in on the occupants of said ship. It took some maneuvering, but he was finally able to sit on the small ledge. A smile broke out on his face when he spotted Voldemort. He was about to call out to him when he heard thunder. Harry frowned as he looked up at the sky. He had started to rain.
Harry began to worry when he saw lightning in the distance. This didn't bode well. Especially since the lightning seemed to be getting closer. For his own safety, Harry returned to the water, all thoughts of calling Voldemort were gone. To his utmost horror the ship was hit by a streak of lightning, catching on fire instantly.
Harry was terrified, he didn't know if Voldemort was even alive anymore. It looked like people were fleeing to a lifeboat, but none of them looked to be Voldemort. Harry's fears grew when he heard something explode on the ship. Where was Voldemort?! Harry dove under water making sure the man wasn't there. To his dismay he found Voldemort sinking. He swam over as quickly as possible, pulling Voldemort to the surface with all the strength he could muster. The man was unconscious, but at least he was still breathing. He didn't know how he would be able to help Voldemort further. He didn't know the way back to the shore.
Maybe if he did what he and Neville had been doing earlier, they would find the shore. Harry paled slightly, he had forgotten about Neville! He hoped Neville hadn't been hurt. Much to his relief, Neville was right behind him, not a scratch on him. "Neville! Could you lead the way to the shore? I don't recall the direction we were originally swimming in." Neville gave a quick nod and lead them through the treacherous waters.
It took a few hours, but he managed to get Voldemort to the shore, and there still had been no sign of Hermione. Harry gently placed Voldemort on the sand, brushing a few strands of hair out of his face. He had never seen Voldemort sleeping before. He looked almost innocent. Harry was mesmerized by the man's face, he didn't want to leave this moment.
Harry's heart skipped when he saw Voldemort begin to wake. What was he supposed to do now? He was fairly certain a kiss wouldn't turn him back into a human. He would probably have to find a solution back in the ocean. He wasn't looking forward to that. Harry was pulled from his musings when he felt a hand rest upon his cheek.
He smirked down at Voldemort. "Bet you never thought I would be the one saving your life." For once Harry hadn't been the damsel in distress. Voldemort gave him a withering glare. Harry's smile just grew.
"If you must know, I had the situation fully under control." Harry rolled his eyes. Of course the man would have to come up with some lame excuse. It was at that moment that Voldemort noticed Harry's new appendage. "Harry, why are you a fish?" This was an outrage! His Harry couldn't be a fish! You can't have any fun with a fish.
Harry let out a sigh. "I didn't exactly choose to be this. And the term you are looking for is merman." Voldemort glared at the tale, as if trying to burn it off. "You know, I have to leave soon. I can't stay here. I would dry up."
Voldemort slowly lifted his eyes away from the tale and to Harry's face. He cupped Harry's cheek and brought their faces closer together, planting a chaste kiss upon his lips. "I could keep you in my bathtub." Harry was not amused by this, before he could retort however, Voldemort continued on. "Although, we would never be able to have any fun. And that would be most unfortunate. Are you certain the answer lies within the sea?"
Harry nodded his head. He was fairly certain he knew what fairy tale he was in now. He remembered seeing glimpses of the movie on the telly. "I am pretty confident I need to see some octopus person and they will change me into a human." Voldemort did not look appeased. Harry just shrugged. "Sorry if you don't like it, but that is the way things are." Harry turned his attention away from Voldemort when he heard someone in the distance. "I really have to go now."
Voldemort pulled Harry as close as he could and gave him a smoldering kiss. When he drew away, he smirked at Harry's lust filled eyes. Oh yes, things were definitely going his way. He reluctantly moved away from Harry. "Go now, before I change my mind." With one last look Harry left Voldemort and returned to the sea. It was one of the hardest things he ever had to do. He didn't think that would have ever been possible. He dared not look back, he didn't think he would be able to go otherwise.
After that Harry remained sullen for quite some time. Floating off to who knows where. It didn't help that Hermione had now caught up. She kept berating him. And what made matters worse were the sad and questioning looks he was getting from Neville. He didn't want to explain what was going on with him and Voldemort, or even admit to any of them that he was falling for the man. Oh hell, he could admit it to himself at least. He was in love with Voldemort. There was no getting around it. He didn't know how it happened, but it did, and it ached him to be away from the man. He wondered if Voldemort felt the same way about him, he really hoped so, he didn't think he could handle it if Voldemort didn't love him back.
It wasn't until he came across two very large eels that Harry realized he had been swimming aimlessly. This was very bad. He had no idea where he was or even how to get back to Voldemort. Hopefully, Neville would remember. At the moment though he had a far more pressing matter to attend.
"Hello Harry." "So nice" "to see you." "We hope" "you have been" "doing well." "We come with" "a message" "from our sister" "who is" "very excited" "to see you." Harry looked at the two eels gobsmacked. This couldn't possibly be Fred and George. He found this situation quite hilarious, until he realized they wanted him to see their sister. He groaned. That meant the octopus was probably Ginny. He could not confront her. She was probably still mad at him for saying she had a small chest.
Begrudgingly he complied to go with them to see Ginny, much to Hermione's dismay. She would not agree to this. She tried pulling on Harry's tail to stop him from going, however, with her small stature she was unsuccessful. All she could do was follow along and hope to prevent anything from happening.
When they came upon the cave Harry was having second thoughts. It looked quite ominous. Who would want to live in that? When Fred and George grabbed onto his arms, he had little choice but to follow them. He didn't fancy being electrocuted.
When he turned his head and looked at Neville and Hermione, they didn't look happy to be entering the cave. Especially Neville, he looked terrified. Harry hated putting him through this. Neville had always been a good friend. One of the few, perhaps the only one. Harry frowned at that. He felt disheartened to think he may only have one true friend. What a sad life he was living. Harry shook his head, he would not think about this now. He had a more pressing matter to focus on.
Said matter being a very angry looking half octopus. He had to admit, it did not flatter Ginny in any way. If he thought she looked bad, he had to wonder what she thought of herself. "Hello Harry. Have anything you want to say to me before we begin?" Ginny's eye was twitching, if Harry didn't apologize she was going to make him pay dearly.
Harry rubbed the back of his neck in discomfort. "I'm really sorry for what I said Gin. I didn't mean to offend you. You really are the prettiest girl I have ever met." He was lying through his teeth now, but she didn't need to know that. It seemed to work anyways, he didn't think he had ever seen such a big smile on her face before.
"Of course Harry, how could I not be? I know you saying such things about me are insecurities about yourself. So, consider yourself forgiven." She batted her eyelashes and clung onto his arm. Harry was furious, he tried very hard not to show it, but he was. How dare she make accusations like that! And it seemed Hermione was in agreement with her! She had been nodding her head the whole time. Neville though seemed to be appalled, which helped to each his anger, if only slightly.
"Now Harry, let's get down to business. You wish to become human, correct?" Harry nodded, not trusting his voice. Ginny tapped her lips a few times then pulled some ingredients out of a cupboard and placed them into a cauldron. "I know just the thing." She hummed while she worked which was terrible, her humming was almost as bad as her screaming. He hoped he never heard he scream. "Alright, it is finished. You will drink this, and it will turn you into a human. However, you will lose your voice."
Harry was confused. "Why do I have to lose my voice?" What was the importance of not having a voice? This was getting weird. While he had only seen parts of the movie, he never got to see parts of the second half of the movie because Vernon had thrown him in the cupboard when he caught him sneaking peeks at the movie.
"I'm going to tell you Harry dear, if you stop interrupting me." She ignored the glare he threw her way and continued on. "In order for you to remain human Voldemort has to confess his love to you, and I can't very well have you telling him that. There is a catch, I am only giving you 24 hours to do this. Good luck." Ginny smirked, there was no way Voldemort would confess his love for Harry, they didn't even like each other. She didn't like the idea of handing Harry over to Voldemort though, after all he was hers. But, Fate said she had to, so she had to play along.
Harry was mortified. There was no way he was going to be able to get Voldemort to say I love you. He didn't even know if Voldemort could feel love. He was never going to leave this fairy tale. With great sadness weighing down on his heart, Harry grabbed the potion which was now in a flask. "One more thing Harry, if he doesn't say he loves you, you become mine. Isn't that wonderful?" Ginny was beaming with happiness, while Harry was being filled with even more dread. He did not reply to her, instead he gulped down the potion.
He dropped the flask as the effects began. Neville quickly came to his side, realizing very quickly that Harry wouldn't be able to breath under water very soon. "Luckily, we aren't far from the surface here, but you may want to hurry." Ginny stated and swam away. Neville did the best he could in helping Harry swim to the surface. Harry may have been glad to have his legs back, but the thought of drowning to get them did not sit well with him.
Thankfully they were able to reach the surface before he ran out of air. And much to his satisfaction and growing trepidation, the shore was close by. Once they got close to the shore Harry realized he had no clothes on. He scanned the area for anything he could use, the only thing he found was a part of the sail from the ship. It was better than nothing. He quickly fashioned into what could be considered a robe.
Before he began his trek through the sand he smiled at Neville, hoping he would see that as a thank you. Which gratefully he seemed to catch on. "Please be careful Harry." Harry could only nod. He glared at Hermione one last time, quieting her ever going rants on how he shouldn't be doing this and how he needed to use his brain cells. With that done, he began the walk, hoping to find Voldemort quickly.
He needed to find out what time it was so he could start timing it, all he knew right now was that it was morning. He really hoped Voldemort was in the castle that was just up ahead. As he got closer he saw Lucius in the distance. He began to run in the man's direction, glad to have his legs back. He tried waving his arms around to get Lucius' attention, but it didn't seem to be working and the man was walking away. He couldn't lose Lucius, if he did he may not get to Voldemort.
Thankfully Lucius dropped something and had to turn around. When he looked up the two stared at each other for a moment, until Lucius started to walk towards the running Harry. "Hello, Mr. Potter. I imagine you are looking for my Lord?" Harry nodded eagerly. Lucius raised and eyebrow, but did not comment. If Potter didn't want to talk, that was fine by him.
When they entered the castle, Harry looked around nervously. What should he do? He could write down to tell Voldemort what he had to say, but that just didn't seem right. He didn't want the man to be forced to say it. And what if it wasn't even true, it probably wouldn't even break the spell. All he could hope for was Voldemort uttering those words in earnest.
Harry forced a smile on his face when he saw Voldemort approaching him. Voldemort studied him for a moment before kissing Harry passionately. Harry gripped onto Voldemort's shirt tightly, not wanting the moment to end. He knew he didn't have much time with the man. He may never see the man after this for all he knew.
Voldemort frowned. There was definitely something wrong with Harry. He could tell by the way he smiled and the way he had kissed him. He hadn't realized he was able to tell so much about Harry, but in the end he thought that would be a good thing. Less chance for Harry to be able to lie to him. "Harry love, would you mind telling me what is bothering you?"
Harry opened his mouth to say something, only to close it again. He almost forgot he couldn't speak. He gently tapped at his throat, hoping Voldemort would get the hint. Voldemort stared at Harry's throat for a moment, then turned to Harry's face once more. "You can't speak? How is that possible? You spoke just fine before." Harry frowned. He had no one of explaining it. All he could do was shrug.
Voldemort let out a sufferable sigh. "Well, do you know how to stay human and get us out of this fairy tale at least?" Harry slowly nodded his head. Voldemort beamed. "Great! I will get a piece of paper and you can write it down." Harry grabbed the man's arm and shook his head. Voldemort narrowed his eyes. "You don't want me to know? Why is this? I thought we had a mutual agreement on wanting to get out of these fairy tales. What has changed?" Voldemort's concern grew when he saw the conflict in Harry's eyes. "Harry, what is it? Please tell me?"
Harry frowned. Voldemort's worry was only making things worse. He felt like he wanted to cry. All he could do was to continue to shake his head. Voldemort planted a kiss on Harry's forehead and led him into the dining room. "I suppose we will have to make the best of this situation. To start off, let's get some food in you, you must be starving." Harry hadn't realized it before but he was quite hungry.
After they had eaten, Voldemort had Harry change his attire then showed him around the grounds. It was quite a beautiful castle, Harry thought. But he was growing quite tired of them. He just wanted to go back home, even though he really didn't have a home to return to. He would not think on this now, he would enjoy the time he had with Voldemort while he could.
Voldemort didn't know what to think of this situation or how to go about fixing it. Every story before it had been pretty straight forward, this one however, was a puzzle. As they walked and he told Harry about his stay here, he couldn't fathom what he needed to do. He had kissed Harry and that seemed to work, but that was no longer the case. Did he have to prove something? If so, he wasn't sure what.
All he could do was spend the day with Harry, show him a good time. Of course quite a few things they thought of as fun were quite different. However, he did manage to make Harry smile and silently laugh a few times. For example, when he told an embarrassing story pertaining to Lucius. How when he was younger his father had been so angry with him he made him go to that evenings ball wearing a dress. It made Harry think of all the times Draco Malfoy had to wear a dress in these fairy tales. It made him feel better that he wasn't the only one having to wear dresses and skirts.
At nightfall they crawled into bed together, Harry laying his head against Voldemort's chest. He didn't want to leave, but he knew Voldemort wouldn't utter the words. Harry closed his eyes and breathed in Voldemort's scent. He would miss the man.
"Harry, are you certain you don't want to tell me?" Harry played with Voldemort's shirt and nodded his head. Voldemort held Harry tightly, he got the feeling he would be losing Harry soon and he did not like that. "If I don't do whatever it is I am supposed to do, you will turn back into a merman, correct?" Harry nodded his head once again. "Well, if you won't tell me the solution, perhaps I will have to make up my own. Maybe killing the Weasley will work. What do you think?" All Harry could do was shrug. He hoped that would help, but at the same time he secretly wanted Voldemort to utter those words.
Voldemort rolled his eyes. "You are so helpful, all I have gotten from you today is nods and shrugs. Although, to be fair you can't speak. It is nice to know that you haven't been able to yell at me for an entire day. It has been quite peaceful." Voldemort ignored the glare Harry was giving him and held on tighter to the young man as he tried to move away. "Now Harry, no need to get angry, we were having such a good time." Harry just pouted. The room was filled with silence after that, and Harry soon found himself falling asleep. He had been so exhausted by this fairy tale, he couldn't have stayed awake if he wanted to. Voldemort stayed up a little longer admiring the young man sleeping with him, before he too was pulled away into slumber.
When Voldemort awoke, Harry was already out of bed, and out of the room it appeared. It took him ten minutes but he finally found him down by the water. Harry wanted to be prepared for when he would have to leave. He didn't want to have to slide his way make to the ocean. Voldemort wrapped his arms around Harry's waist, pulling him close. "I will miss you." Voldemort whispered into Harry's ear. Harry's mouth went dry, if Voldemort missed him then that mean the man had to care for him on some level, right?
Harry's heart was filled with warmth. He turned around and placed a kiss upon Voldemort's lips. Voldemort was more than willing to receive it and quickly deepened it. He snaked his tongue into Harry's mouth, winning over Harry's mouth. He missed the delicious moans that would come from Harry. When the need for air grew too great they reluctantly pulled apart. Part of Voldemort wanted to go further, but part of him just wanted to hold Harry close because he knew he would lose him soon. So, it led them sitting in the sand for the next few hours, Voldemort combing through Harry's hair with his fingers.
When the 24th hour reached them, Harry felt himself transform back, and much to his pleasure he had his voice back. "Voldemort." He whispered before planting another kiss upon the man's lips. Voldemort kissed back with a gentleness Harry didn't think the man possessed before he pulled back.
"Harry, don't go. Stay here. I can try and think up something here. We weren't able to find a potion that would work, but maybe with enough effort we could create one." Harry just shook his head. "Well, why not stay with me so the Weasley will have to come to us? I don't fancy swimming in after her. Unlike you, I can't breath under water."
Harry hadn't thought of that. That could work. Maybe if she can on land Voldemort would actually be able to kill her and that may be the solution to getting out of this fairy tale. Of course, what Ginny said before continued to ring in his head. He got the terrible feeling killing her wouldn't be enough. They could end up being here for a very long time. "What do you think of this fairy tale?"
Voldemort furrowed his eyebrows. That wasn't a question he had expected Harry to ask. "Why? You don't like it here, do you?" Harry shook his head. Voldemort couldn't fathom why Harry would ask such a question, unless... "You don't think we will get out of this fairy tale do you."
Before Harry could respond however, the Ginny octopus had snuck up on them and grabbed Harry's tail, quickly dragging him into the water. Voldemort tried to get Harry back, but was unable to move fast enough. He watched helpless as Harry was dragged under the water. Voldemort ran as rapidly as possible to his ship. He would not lose Harry. For some reason that thought scared him. How would he even find Harry?
Harry tried to fight Ginny and get away, but it wasn't working. "Harry! Why are you fighting me so much?! I thought you loved me! We can be together now. No more Voldemort in the way!" Harry glared at her and didn't stop fighting. "You will stop fighting this instant or I will turn you into a krill!" That had harry stopping. He wasn't sure what a krill was, but that didn't sound good.
Ginny brought him back to her cave. "Won't this be exciting, we can get married now." Ginny was humming was again and making preparations around the room. Harry would have made a run for it if Fred and George weren't watching him. They wouldn't allow him to run off and hurt their baby sister like that.
Harry needed to think up a plan, and fast. A smirk that could have rivaled one of Voldemort's appeared on his face. He told Fred and George he wanted to grab flowers for Ginny, but he had to go outside the cave to do so. They agreed to allow him to go and kept a watchful eye on him. He began to pick some weird sea flowers along with the longest and sturdiest seaweed he could find. When he was done he returned to the cave, Ginny none the wiser, and began tying together the seaweed he had gathered.
Fred and George gave him odd looks but did not comment, they thought it had to do with the ceremony. Once Harry was done he beckoned the three over and quickly tied them all together, which wasn't hard since none of them were expecting it. Ginny began screeching at him as he swam away.
Harry quickly got to the surface and saw Voldemort's ship. He swam to the ship with as much speed as he could muster. Once there he shouted out to Voldemort you lowered a rope, allowing him to climb aboard. Harry hugged him for all he was worth. "She was going to make me marry her. It was dreadful." Voldemort's eye twitched. She wasn't allowed to have him. Before he could make any comment about it, the ship began to shake.
Ginny, now far larger than she once was, protruded from the ocean. She must have drank a potion, Harry mused. "HARRY! HOW DARE YOU TIE ME UP AND LEAVE ME! NO ONE DOES THAT TO GINNY WEASLEY! NO ONE!" Harry cringed, this wasn't going to end well. Ginny began to make the ship spin, having the occupants flying off. At the same time she had a whirlpool forming near the ship.
Voldemort was holding onto Harry with one arm and onto the ship with the other, trying to keep them from falling into the water, or worse, the whirlpool. While Voldemort did not lose his grip on the ship, he did lose his hold on Harry, due to the fact that Harry was wet. Voldemort could only watch in horror as Harry was pulled into the whirlpool. "NO!" He wanted to let go of the ship and go after Harry, but then he would be no help to anyone.
The ship itself was slowly sucked into the whirlpool as well, Voldemort slowly began his way to the helm. Ginny, on the other hand, had turned her focus towards Harry, who had now gone to the bottom of the whirlpool. She dropped some potions she had brought with her to the bottom, hoping to hit Harry with one. They wouldn't kill him, but they would hurt. She wanted him to feel how she felt.
Voldemort picked up his pace as much as he could without falling off, now realizing what the Weasley was doing. How dare she try and hurt what was his! Finally reaching the helm, he placed his hands upon the wheel and tried to steer it. He hoped the bowsprit would be sharp enough to penetrate through the Weasley's skin. At the velocity he was going, it probably wouldn't be a problem. He just needed to do it in time to save Harry.
As Voldemort thought this, he heard Harry scream out, he wasn't sure what potion had hit him, all he knew was that he needed to think fast. He steered the ship as best as he could and aimed it for Ginny. To his great pleasure his plan worked and she gave out an agonizing cry. "NO! It can't lose! I can't…" Ginny disappeared under the water and the sea turned back to normal.
Voldemort let go of the wheel and jumped into the water, he didn't care how deep he had to go, he would find Harry. He wouldn't lose him. To his relief he was able to reach Harry before he needed to go up for air, although it was cutting it close. He brought Harry to the surface as fast as possible. The tricky part was getting him on the ship.
Once on the ship, Voldemort gently laid Harry down. He checked Harry's pulse to find him still breathing, if only barely. Voldemort tried kissing him, to see if that would help. It did not. What was he supposed to do? He couldn't heal Harry here. Harry was dying in front of his eyes. He couldn't bear it. He never thought he would feel so much despair over losing Harry. It wasn't supposed to happen like this. He couldn't live without Harry, not anymore. That thought startled him. He had always been fine being alone and never attached to anyone, but now, he couldn't even conceive of the thought of being without Harry.
Voldemort chuckled softly to himself, he had spent so many years trying to kill Harry, to now want to see the young man to open his eyes and tell him everything would be ok. How badly he wanted that. He knew it wouldn't happen, that he would lose Harry. Why was Fate doing this? He could feel his heart breaking.
Voldemort pulled Harry into a hug and held tight. "Please don't leave me Harry. I don't know what I will do without. Everything seems so meaningless now. I swear, if you die I will burn the entire world to the ground." It was true, he knew, to lose Harry, something so pressure to him, the one way he would be able to cope was to see the rest of the world in pain. "Harry, please open your eyes. Please… I love you." Voldemort wasn't sure what surprised me more, the fact that he was begging, or the fact that he had just said I love you. He didn't think he would ever be capable of love, but it seemed Harry always managed to do the impossible.
Having realized this only made the pain worse. He closed his eyes and held onto Harry tightly. It was a few minutes later that he realized Harry was squirming. He turned to look at Harry in shock. Was he really alive and well?! He checked Harry over. Harry seemed to be fine. He was so relieved! Why had he been healed though? That didn't make any sense.
When he saw the beaming smile on Harry's face that he knew Harry might know. Which was soon confirmed when Harry hugged him and whispered, "I love you too." Voldemort's mind was on overdrive. He felt so elated that Harry loved him back. It was that he realized it was those lines that he needed to utter in order for this tale to end. He groaned. He felt slightly cornered into this. Not by Harry, of course, but by Fate. Harry had seemed uncomfortable about all of this. Voldemort didn't blame him, it isn't something you bring up as a light conversational topic.
"I wish Fate would let us go home now." Harry whispered to Voldemort. "What more needs to be done here? Isn't this what they set out to do? I feel like they are going to torture us further." Voldemort frowned at Harry's words. The only reason he could think to them here longer would be to remove Harry emotionally further away from those he once called friends.
"If Fate puts you in another life or death situation I will find a way to torture and kill them, I don't care how long it takes. I will find a way." Harry smiled, but he had to agree. He didn't want to be on the verge of death again. It was quite frightening, especially when it was done by someone he once thought he cared about.
Harry looked up at Voldemort having so many things to say, but not knowing where to start. It seemed Voldemort was having the same problem. All Harry could do was smile before the white light took them both.
