So I still have a ton of these left on my computer, and now that I'm showing the show to my best friend, I've been writing more. Obviously, with the movie coming out, I'm psyched, and hoping to finish my completely inaccurate story before Rob Thomas' genius is put on the big screen. So I figured I would start posting now. Enjoy!

"It isn't often you see a girl who can surf like that around here."

Lillian smiled at the cute guy complimenting her.

"Thanks. It's in my blood."

The two continued to talk, oblivious to Logan's glare. If looks could kill, this boy, and every other male who ogled at either of his daughters, would be suffering a slow and painful death. Given how he and his friends had treated girls in their teenage years, he had good reason to be suspicious of teenage boys. Lillian and Meg were both tall, slender, and curvy, which meant his afternoons at the beach with his daughters often required a lot of glaring. This kid in particular didn't inspire Logan's worst. At least he had the decency to keep his eyes on Lillian's face, unlike many of the other guys who tried to flirt with the twins. Still, nothing tempted Logan's temper more than teenage boys lusting after his little girls. His hand curled and uncurled, desperate to hurt this guy. The first time a male propositioned Lillian, he had nearly punched the fourteen-year-old. It was only Veronica's prodding that kept him in line. Luckily for him, his daughter did the slapping for him.

"You go to Neptune High I assume." he said, gesturing to the Neptune High t-shirt she had just put on.

"Yeah. Do you? I don't remember seeing you around."

"No. Just graduated from Pan actually. But don't hold that against me. I have no school pride."

He smiled.

"I'll try, but you know, go pirates!"

She smiled making a mock cheerleading move in time with her words.

They were laughing. Logan wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. He didn't like the look in Lillian's eyes. Too interested. Especially since Logan had fond of the boy she had just dumped.

"And where is it that you're heading off to this fall?"

"Stanford." he replied, trying not to sound like bragging.

"I would kill to go there." she answered, a wistful look in her eyes.

The boy opened his mouth to say something, but Logan, who had managed to walk up without either of them noticing, spoke first.

"So who's this honey?"

He put his arm around his daughter's shoulders protectively, subtly glaring.

"This is… actually I never caught you name."

"Josh. Shays."

"Lillian. Echolls. And this is my dad."

"Well if you ever visit Stanford, pay me a visit Lillian. It was nice meeting you."

He walked away.

Meg ran over excitedly.

"Who was that Lil? He's totally cute."

"Just some guy. I'll probably never see him again anyway."

That's just what Logan liked to hear.
