Chapter 12: Absolute Incineration

Fire Realm November 26th 1532 Hours CRST (Creature Realm Standard Time)

Alakshmi Verma groaned as she was in her Cell. "I've been stuck in this wretched dungeon for weeks," she complained to herself. "Perishing on the Volcano Ship would have been more amusing than this!" she exclaimed. She suddenly heard some metal clattering and gasped, looking to her Cell Partner next to her. "Whatever it is you're tinkering with had better be a Lock Pick!" she yelled.

"It is a Lock Pick, of a sort," the Masked Figure said. It was the same Masked Figure that Tatsurion had met, and that threatened Artemis not to tell anyone of whoever it was. "But it won't be much of an escape tool without a Flame Crystal."

All of a sudden, the Guard, Volcanodon the Whip-Cracker walked by. Alakshmi looked to him and grinned. "I'll show you an Escape Tool," she muttered before turning her attention to Volcanodon. "Wretched Beast! It's been two days! We demand food!" Alakshmi yelled out.

Volcanodon growled and turned around. "Silence!" he demanded. "You will learn to fear Volcanodon the Whip-Cracker!" he yelled, lashing out at Alakshmi to keep her quiet. However, Alakshmi grabbed the Whip and tied it against the bars. "Let go!" Volcanodon demanded, heading towards the Cell. He opened it up to get back his Whip, but Alakshmi started to run out. Volcanodon whipped at her, but she ducked from the attack and slid under Volcanodon, grabbing his Flame Crystal on his leg in the process. "Stop!" Volcanodon called out, using his Whip to grab Alakshmi's leg and pull her in.

"Let me go!" Alakshmi roared.

"Now it's three days without food!"

Volcanodon opened up the Cell and threw Alakshmi back in painfully. She groaned as she got up while Volcanodon walked away.

"A Noble effort, Alakshmi, but foolish." The Masked Figure said dryly.

Alakshmi grinned and revealed the Flame Crystal she stole. "Is this Flame Crystal big enough?" she quipped.

Soon, the Masked Figure was done with the project. The Masked Figure walked towards Alakshmi and handed her a Glove. "I trust you know how to use a Kaijudo Dueling Glove?" the Masked Figure asked.

Alakshmi gasped. "Who are you?"

San Campion November 26th 1600 Hours PDT

Gabe led Ray, Allie, Zatanna and Robin down into an underwater laboratory hidden within the Kaijudo Temple.

"Wow, look at this stuff," Robin mused. "Can't believe Nadia has this much free time on her hands."

"Yeah," Ray said. "But does Master Nadia even know we're in her Private Lab?" Ray asked with concern.

"Um, not exactly," Gabe replied back. "But it's okay, because I'm—"

"Temporary Light Master." Allie and Zatanna said simultaneously before chuckling.

"We know." Allie drawled.

"You do remind us every six seconds, after all." Zatanna pointed out.

Gabe pouted. He grabbed a scroll from the shelf and showed it to his friends. "Anyways, this is what I wanted to show you guys," Gabe explained. "It's a Scroll about Ancient Mystics with vast magical Powers," Gabe explained as he handed the Scroll to Ray. "They can purify any living being."

Ray's eyes widened. "'Purify'?" he asked as Allie and Zatanna went to get a look. "You think they can fix my Dad's mutation?"

"Why don't we just summon one and ask?" Allie asked before the door opened up.

"You cannot summon a Creature Mystic," Master Nadia said as she came in. "Their names remain unknown."

Everyone gasped.

"Do you know what else you cannot do?" Nadia asked sternly. "Come into my Lab… uninvited!"

"That would be the Temporary Light Master's Fault." Allie snarked.

Nadia looked down to the Scroll. "Creature Mystics are a Myth," she said. "No one has ever seen them."

"That's not true!" Robin exclaimed. "Ray and I have met a Mystic!"

"Yeah," Ray said. "We met one on SkyCrusher's Volcano Ship!"

Once again, Nadia sighed. "I know what you are thinking," she said. "But this proves nothing! Seeking out Creature Mystics is a futile cause."

Ray sighed as everyone headed back upstairs.

"Don't listen to her, Ray," Zatanna said as she placed her hand on Ray's Shoulder. "We can prove Master Nadia wrong."

Back in the Fire Realm, the Masked Figure looked to Alakshmi as she now had the Kaijudo Dueling Glove on.

"Guards are gone," the Masked Figure said. "Time to Gauntlet Up!"

Alakshmi performed the kata needed to activate the Gauntlet. In a flash of light, she now had a Kaijudo Dueling Glove.

"Not as good as a Tech Gauntlet, but it will serve." Alakshmi noted before looking to the Masked Figure.

"I would do this myself if not for my… condition," the Masked Figure said as he looked to his Armor. "Now, summon your Creature."

Alakshmi started to perform a Fire-Summoning Kata. "Ember-Eye the Indomitable!" Alakshmi called out, summoning a large, green Dragon.

"Hmm, you might make a promising Apprentice after all." The Masked Figure mused.

"Now, free us, Beast!" Alakshmi ordered.

Ember-Eye obeyed Alakshmi's command and used its tail to break the Cell the Masked Figure was trapped in. Afterwards, it shot a missile into the air, creating a Hole in the Ceiling.

Alakshmi soon got on. "Get on!" she called out to the Masked Figure.

"You can't be serious!" the Masked Figure exclaimed in disbelief. He hesitated for a moment, but got on. "These Creatures are dangerous!"

"Desperate times, desperate measures." Alakshmi replied back.

"Stop them!" Volcanodon called out as he came with some of the Guards upon hearing the noise.

Alakshmi motioned into the air, where Ember-Eye flew. They were soon out of the Prison.

"Freedom at last!" Alakshmi cheered to herself. "I think I'm getting better at this."

"Not yet, Child," the Masked Figure stated. "I still need your help with something."

Back at the Temple, Ray was showing his friends a drawing of the Masked Figure that he and the others had met back on the Volcano Ship during the War with Fire and Water.

"Zero Search Results for 'Creature Mystics'." Gargle reported as he pulled down the sketchbook Ray had drawn the picture in.

"I've heard stories," Tatsurion said. "Beings with magic beyond any the Creature Realm has ever known," Tatsurion explained. "Some say they vanished Eons ago."

"This one vanished just a few weeks ago!" Ray exclaimed. "And we're gonna find him!"

Tatsurion growled for a moment as he started to think. After a while, he turned back to the Duelists, Robin and Zatanna. "I doubt any Fire Creatures will be willing to help us." He remarked, remembering every bad encounter he and Ray had in the Fire Realm.

"I know what might persuade them." Ray said thoughtfully.

"Care to let us in?" Zatanna asked.

"We've dealt with the Fire Civilization before, and it doesn't look like they're too keen on working with us." Robin added on.

"They feed on meat," Ray explained. "I know a special kind of meat that can get them to help us."

Zatanna grinned. "Bob did say something about liking bacon." She recalled.

"There's a chance it could go for the rest of the Fire Creatures," Ray said. "Come on, let's go."

In the Fire Realm, at Blastforge City, everyone split up into two groups: Ray, Zatanna and Allie to find out information from the Local Guards, and Gabe, Gargle, Robin and Tatsurion to go and see King Infernus if he knew anything.

"Nommus Nocab!" Zatanna incanted, bringing some bacon into the Fire Realm as she, Ray and Allie met with an old friend/enemy, the Blastforge Slaver.

"What is this?" the Blastforge Slaver asked.

Ray opened up the package and picked up a piece of raw bacon. "It's bacon," Ray explained in a seductive voice. "A true Fire Nation delicacy!"

The Blastforge Slaver let out a "Mmm!" sound before using his tongue to grab the bacon.

"Are you sure this will work?" Zatanna asked.

"Yeah," Allie added on. "That looks like the bacon anyone gets from Wal-Mart."

"It's from Giant Eagle!" Zatanna argued.

After a while, the Blastforge Slaver grinned after tasting the Bacon. "Even better than Burnt-Whisp Lizard!" the Blastforge Slaver exclaimed before swallowing down the bacon even more. "And no ashy aftertaste."

"Yeah, that happens a lot when you burn food." Allie mused as Zatanna nodded.

"There's plenty more where that came from," Ray said before picking up his sketchpad. "If… you can tell me how to find…" Ray bargained as he pointed to the Picture of the Mystic. "…Him."

Meanwhile, Robin was with Gabe, Gargle and Tatsurion, walking through the streets. Many Fire Realm Creatures were looking to them, mostly Tatsurion, with awe.

"Gotham in Hell," Robin mused. "There's no other Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy."

"Not just Scum and Villainy," Tatsurion said as all eyes were shifted to him. "This Market is filled with nothing but Slavers, Bounty Hunters, and other Mercenary Scum."

"Then… how do you explain that kid?" Gabe asked.

A Dragon Child walked up to Tatsurion with some sort of wooden tablet. Robin made sure to get out of his way before the Child looked up to Bob.

"Can I have your Autograph, Mr. Tatsurion?" the Child asked. "King Infernus says you're a hero!"

Robin and Gabe both grinned at Tatsurion as he lit up one of his fingers. The Child smiled and held out his tablet, which Tatsurion signed on. The Child cheered and ran to his friends, who awed at the autograph. Soon, every Fire Creature in the area started to cheer on Tatsurion the Unchained.

"Looks like you've come a long way from the days when you've had a price on your head." Gabe mused.

"Tatsurion!" a voice called out. Bob, Robin and Gabe turned to see a Fire Creature with a yellow face, orange skin and green armor come their way. "Long time, no see!"

"Who's this?" Robin asked.

"A Bounty Hunter who came after me one time," Tatsurion explained. "Robin, Gabriel, this is Burnclaw the Relentless," Tatsurion said as he motioned his hand from Robin and Gabe to Burnclaw. "Burnclaw the Relentless, these are Robin, the Boy Wonder and Gabriel Wallace, the Master of Light."

"Nice to meet you two," Burnclaw said to Robin and Gabe, who could only narrow their eyes at him. "So, are you having fun, basking in your newfound respect?" Burnclaw asked.

Tatsurion growled.

"Oh, you're not still upset about me trying to collect that Bounty on your head, are you?" Burnclaw asked. "That was just business, Lava under the Bridge."

"What do you want, Burnclaw?" Tatsurion asked.

"Well, now that you've been declared a Hero by King Infernus, I was thinking you could put in a good word for me," Burnclaw explained. "As a Royal Bounty Hunter."

Tatsurion angrily grabbed Burnclaw, causing the crowd to cheer for Tatsurion.

"The only things I'm putting in is my claws… IN YOUR FACE!" Tatsurion yelled. He put him down, and soon, the three were walking away from Burnclaw.

"Well, you've had ten packages of bacon." Allie said as she looked to a tired Zatanna.

"And probably my one sixteenth of my whole Bank Account." Zatanna added on.

"What do you know?" Ray asked.

"Well, my Sources say that the Creature you seek recently escaped from Lord SkyCrusher's Prison," the Blastforge Slaver explained. "He was last seen heading towards Black-Rim Volcano."

"Come on!" Ray said as he grabbed Allie's hand. "Let's go get Bob."

"Just say 'Tatsurion' here," Allie said. "'Bob' doesn't sound too heroic."

As Ray, Allie and Zatanna left, Burnclaw walked up to the Blastforge Slaver.

"Why would you help friends of that accursed Tatsurion?!" Burnclaw demanded.

"Because now, we know where they're headed," the Blastforge Slaver explained. He looked to see the Humans get on Tatsurion. As soon as he spread his wings, everyone cheered, and cheered even louder as Tatsurion took off into the air. "Tatsurion may be a hero in the eyes of the King," the Blastforge Slaver went on. "But word has it… Lord SkyCrusher still swears vengeance on the Traitor. Vengeance… and a hefty Bounty."

"So, we can still profit from that Hybrid Freak!" Burnclaw exclaimed, now coming to an understanding. "Dead… or alive!"

"Are you sure about that Blastforge Slaver?" Robin asked Ray, Allie and Zatanna. "Gabe and I saw a lot of unfriendly faces in the Market."

Zatanna shrugged. "I had a Spell that would tell if he was lying or not," Zatanna stated. "He was telling the truth all the way."

"And the bacon sure seemed to help," Allie added on. "It's okay to worry, Rob, just… don't do it too much." Allie teased.

"Black-Rim Volcano, dead ahead." Tatsurion reported as he turned his head to face his Human Friends.

"Stay low," Ray ordered. "The Armored Mystic Guy could be on foot."

Tatsurion nodded and started to fly down low. Everyone held on, trying not to fall off of Tatsurion.

"I'll try to see if I can find him," Zatanna said. "There's no telling what we could find in these parts, especially after our experience from the War."

As this was happening, Gargle came out from Gabe's backpack and started to look around. "Initiating Search," Gargle said as he searched around. "Target Zero: Scanning: Zoom In…" Gargle said as he suddenly spotted Ember-Eye being ridden on by Alakshmi and the Armored Figure. The two seemed to be out of control.

"Focus your Mana!" the Armored Figure ordered. "You're losing control of the Creature!"

The Armored Figure started to grab Alakshmi's Gauntlet.

Gargle screamed, causing everyone, except for Tatsurion, to turn around. "Alakshmi Arm-Wrestle Iron Mask!" Gargle exclaimed. "Big-Time Flame War!"

"You think Alakshmi captured the Mystic?" Gabe asked.

"If she did, I've got a close shot," Robin said as he looked to Zatanna. "Care to join me?"

"Guys, guys, let's not jump to conclusions yet…" Ray said, trying to calm everyone down.

"Update," Gargle said as he zoomed in. "Alakshmi wear Gauntlet. Control Raptor, Attack Imminent!" Gargle exclaimed.

"Wait!" Ray said. "There has to be a logical explanation."

"Uh, yeah," Allie spat. "Your crush is a total psycho! End of explanation!"

Ray and Zatanna both cringed.

"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?! SHE'S. NOT. HIS/MY. CRUSH!" Ray and Zatanna both exclaimed.

"Hold, Alakshmi," the Armored Figure ordered. "We know that Creature from the Volcano Ship!"

Alakshmi scoffed and ordered Ember-Eye to attack. "We go back much further than that!" she remarked, now charging towards Tatsurion, Ray, Gabe, Allie, Robin and Zatanna. "And the Justice League too!"

Tatsurion turned around and shot some missiles at Ember-Eye. The shots missed, much to Ray's relief.

"Bob, no need for a warning shot!" Ray exclaimed. Before he could argue any further, Bob flew towards Ember-Eye.

"That wasn't a warning!" Tatsurion exclaimed. He used one of his chains to grab the Armored Figure right away from Alakshmi.

"No!" Alakshmi called out as she flew down.

Tatsurion whipped the Armored Figure onto his back, right behind Gabe.

The Armored Figure scowled. "Let me go, Creature!" the Armored Figure demanded.

"It's alright," Gabe said. "We're the good guys!"

"We're here to help!" Robin exclaimed. "We're rescuing you!"

"Fool!" the Armored Figure yelled. "That girl was my ally!"

Everyone looked to one another, feeling ashamed for their accusation.

"You're not the first one to make that mistake." Allie mused as she turned back to Ray.

"Release him!" Alakshmi yelled as she flew over everyone. She started to open fire on Tatsurion. The groups started to near Black Rim Volcano, but one of Ember-Eye's attacks hit the lava, which splat onto Tatsurion.

Tatsurion yelled in pain. "My wings!" he exclaimed.

Everyone gasped as they started to fall. They held on for dear life before Ray finally used his Gauntlet to make a shield. Soon, everyone had roughly landed down on solid ground, where Tatsurion rolled over and groaned.

"Ugh," Ray said as he got up. "Everyone alright?" he asked.

"I think so," Zatanna said. "Never felt that kind of fall before."

Tatsurion groaned as he furled his wings back. "My wings are clipped," Tatsurion reported. "They will heal in time, but… I can't get airborne."

The Armored Figure scoffed as he wiped some dirt off from his Armor. "You're lucky we didn't plummet into the mouth of this Volcano!" he spat before both Ray and Zatanna turned to him. "What do you want with me, anyway?" he asked.

"I was hoping you could teach me a Spell to cure my Father." Ray explained.

"And a Spell for me to help free my Father." Zatanna added on.

"I mean, you are a Creature Mystic, right?" Ray asked.

The Armored Figure paused. "What do you know of Creature Mystics, Children?" he asked while pointing a finger.

"When I saw this picture in an Ancient Scroll." Ray explained as he took out his sketchpad.

"Impressive," the Armored Figure mused. "But I am not a Creature Mystic," he explained, getting Ray and Zatanna to look to one another with disbelief before looking back. "I seek one to free me from this Cursed Armor I have been forced to wear."

Ray's eyes widened with sadness while Zatanna went to comfort him.

"So we came all this way for nothing?" Ray asked.

"Perhaps not," the Armored Figure replied back thoughtfully. "I can guide you to the Fire Mystic," the Armored Figure explained. "I have… encountered him before, but the Path is fraught with danger."

Soon, everyone came across a pit of lava.

"Wow, sure seems hot," Zatanna mused. "I knew I should have gotten a tank top."

"We have to cross that?!" Gabe asked nervously.

"The sooner, the better." The Armored Figure replied back.

With that, the Armored Figure started to leap across the rocks. Ray, Allie, Gabe, Robin, Zatanna and Tatsurion all looked to one another before they started to cross as well. As soon as everyone was across, Gabe and Gargle ran into a cave. The Armored Figure had told everyone that the location of the Fire Mystic was higher, but there was no way to get up. Gargle, however, could tell that there was something in the cave that could help.

"Uh… was that, uh… a Light Creature?" Gabe asked nervously as he saw some decayed parts of a Blinder Beetle.

"Spare parts!" Gargle exclaimed as he grabbed one of the parts. "Gargle level up friends past Firewall!"

"Or, we could simply get my partner to help fly us there." The Armored Figure suggested.

At that moment, Alakshmi flew down with Ember-Eye. Everyone looked up as she fired a missile down towards them. Tatsurion managed to get to the side while everyone else shielded themselves from the attack.

"Uh, yeah," Allie said. "I don't think she's going to be in a… helping mood." Allie remarked.

"I don't think she can control that Creature without me!" the Armored Figure exclaimed.

"Allow us to take care of that!" Robin called out as he tossed some Birdarangs towards Alakshmi and Ember-Eye.

"Good idea!" Tatsurion exclaimed as he readied his shoulder cannon.

"Bob, Robin, wait!" Ray called out. "Hold your fire! We don't want to hurt her!"

"Look out!" Robin called out as Tatsurion grabbed Ray. The two got to the side as more missiles were sent down.

"Clearly she does not feel the same way!" Tatsurion remarked.

Alakshmi continued to send down missiles.

"Zatanna, cover me!" Allie called out.

"Got it!" Zatanna said as she spun around her Wand. "Etaerc a dleihs ot dnefed su!" Zatanna incanted, creating a shield that covered everyone.

"Thanks, Zee!" Allie called out as she started to perform a Darkness Summoning Kata. "I've got something that can knock her down a peg! Scaradorable of Gloom Hollow!" Allie called out, summoning Squeaky.

Squeaky immediately ran to hug Allie and Zatanna, but the two held their hands up.

"Hugs later, Squeaky," Allie said as she looked up. "I need some Black Canary Sonic Scream Action!"

Squeaky looked up as Alakshmi flew down closer. Everyone covered their ears as Squeaky screamed at Ember-Eye. The Sonic Scream knocked Ember-Eye off-guard before Alakshmi fell off.

Everyone watched as Ember-Eye crashed into the wall and was Banished. Ray gasped at the sight of Alakshmi falling and ran towards where she was, activating the Shield from his Gauntlet. The Shield managed to break Alakshmi's fall, as she crashed down onto it before flipping into the air and landing on the ground.

Everyone stood ready as Alakshmi snarled at Allie and Zatanna. "You and your infernal Creature nearly finished me off!" Alakshmi exclaimed.

"Funny," Allie spat. "We were going to say the same thing… to you!"

Alakshmi growled and ran towards the two. As she brought her fist down onto them, Allie and Zatanna clashed their fists with her. The two managed to push her off before Alakshmi attempted to strike again, but this time, the Armored Figure ran in and stopped her.

"Don't let your fiery actions get to you, Girl!" the Armored Figure advised. "We'll need their help to get to the Mystic!"

Alakshmi hissed and broke off. She let out a scoff and was about to let out a dark remark before the ground before them started to shake. Everyone gasped as rocks around them started to crumble and fall into the lava below.

"Oh, lots of luck with that!" Allie spat. "We used our Mana shielding Bob's fall from your attack!" Allie remarked at Alakshmi.

"We'll never summon a Creature big enough to fly us across that lava!" Zatanna exclaimed.

"Ta-da!" Gargle called out as he and Gabe emerged from the cave. "Initiate airlift!" Gargle exclaimed, revealing a large catapult-like device made from parts from the cave. "Creatures and Children first."

Allie and Zatanna narrowed their eyes at Alakshmi, who narrowed her eyes back at them.

"White-Haired Thugettes last!" Allie spat before she, Zatanna and Squeaky ran to get onto the lift.

Gabe, Allie and Zatanna all got onto Squeaky before Bob pulled back on the catapult, allowing them to get on. Bob pulled the catapult back and released it, sending Gabe, Allie, Zatanna and Squeaky to the other side. They all yelled before landing onto the land on the other side.

"Thanks for the cushion, Squeaky." Zatanna said as she and Allie rubbed their heads.

Ray and Robin looked around as the ground closed in more. Alakshmi and the Armored Figure got on, leaving the only ones out Ray, Robin and Gargle.

"Lava's closing in! Move!" Ray called out.

Ray, Robin and Gargle all got in with Alakshmi and the Armored Figure. Tatsurion catapulted them into the air just in time before the rocks collapsed. Ray and Alakshmi created Shields to help break their fall for the Armored Figure, Robin and Gargle before Ray turned to see Tatsurion fall into the lava.

"Bob!" Ray called out. He tried to hold back some tears after not hearing a response as Robin and Zatanna went to calm him down.

All of a sudden, Tatsurion emerged from the lava. "It's okay!" Bob called out. "I really needed a bath."

Ray smiled while Robin and Zatanna looked to each other with an eyebrow raised.

Now that everyone was across, they started to scale the mountain. Tatsurion and Squeaky climbed up the mountain while the Armored Figure led Ray, Allie, Gabe, Robin, Zatanna, Gargle and Alakshmi across the side of the mountain, all trying their best not to look down.

"So… who are you, exactly?" Ray asked the Armored Figure. "What's up with the Armor, and how did Alakshmi get a home-made Dueling Glove?" Ray questioned.

"All reasonable questions," the Armored Figure replied back. "But right now, I suggest you focus less on your lips and more on your feet."

Ray looked down to his feet, seeing that it would be a long fall to the ground below.

"Good point." Ray replied back.

Everyone made it to the top. The Armored Figure helped up Ray, Ray helped up Allie, Ray and Allie helped up Gabe, Gabe helped up Robin, Robin helped up Zatanna, and Robin and Zatanna both helped up Alakshmi. Soon, everyone started to walk once again, making their way towards another cave, this one having a large emblem of the Fire Civilization over it.

"We must proceed with caution," the Armored Figure told everyone. "The way to the Mystic is laid with traps."

Gabe and Robin looked forward, and immediately, their eyes widened.

"You mean, traps like that?!" Gabe exclaimed.

Everyone watched as red fire came out before it turned blue. Everyone shielded themselves from the fire, which subsided soon.

"Is everyone alright?" Robin asked as he looked up.

"Yeah," Zatanna said before everyone heard a scream. "But… who's screaming?"

Allie looked to see Gabe ducking and screaming. Robin gasped as Zatanna suddenly disappeared while Allie looked to Gabe with annoyance.

"You can stop screaming now, Gabe," Allie said as Gabe got back up. "Hell's over."

"Uh, what do you think that was, Ray?" Gabe asked as he pointed to the cave. "Uh, Ray?" Gabe asked after not hearing a response.

"Where's your Magician friend?" Alakshmi asked as she looked to Robin. "Wasn't she just here?"

"I don't know!" Robin exclaimed as he and everyone else looked around. "Zatanna! Where are you?!" the Boy Wonder called out.

"Ray!" Gabe called out.

"Ray!" Allie called out.

Behind Allie, Ray and Zatanna were both pounding on a blue wall.

Allie could hear the pounding and turned around. She let out a gasp, and when Robin turned around, he gasped as well.

Everyone turned to Robin and Allie as they ran towards the cave.

"Ray! What happened to you?" Allie asked as she pounded against the wall.

"Zatanna, are you okay?" Robin asked.

Ray and Zatanna started to speak to Allie and Robin, but no words came out of their mouths.

"He has been chosen, and so has the Magician," the Armored Figure said. He held out his hand. "Seek out the Mystic, but do not let it deceive you!" the Armored Figure ordered.

"Uh, you do realize they can't hear you, right?" Robin asked.

"That, and they're the most blindly-trusting souls on the Planet!" Allie exclaimed.

Ray and Zatanna both looked to one another. They held onto each others' hands before they started to walk into the tunnel.

"What do you think the Mystic will do to us?" Zatanna asked.

"I don't know," Ray replied. "But I need to find a way to save my Dad, and so do you." Ray told Zatanna, to which Zatanna nodded. The two made their way further into the cave.

"Hello!" Ray called out. "Any, uh, Fire Mystics, in here?" he asked.

"Really?" Zatanna asked. "That's how you're going to call out the Fire Mystic?"

"Well, is there any other way?" Ray questioned.

All of a sudden, the torch in front of Ray and Zatanna started to ignite. The two shielded themselves before a fiery spirit appeared before them.

"What is it you seek?" the spirit, believed to be the Fire Mystic, asked.

"I want to heal my Father." Ray started out.

"And… we also wanted to free a friend from his imprisonment, if you don't mind." Zatanna added on.

"That is why you are worthy, young ones," the Fire Mystic said. "But first, you must know the truth."

"What do you mean?" Zatanna asked.

All of a sudden, a blue flame ignited next to them. Both Ray and Zatanna were about to attack, but stopped when the Armored Figure appeared out from the flames.

The Armored Figure turned around and seemed to be in surprise. He looked at them from top to bottom

"It… hasn't imprisoned you?" the Armored Figure asked as he looked from Ray and Zatanna to the Fire Mystic and back before walking towards them.

"Imprison us?" Zatanna asked.

"What are you talking about?" Ray asked.

"Observe," the Fire Mystic said as he showed everyone the image of a female Duel Master. "Long ago, a Human Warrior came to me in hopes of controlling my Power," the Fire Mystic explained before the memory showed her trying to control him. He sank into his torch and released blue flames onto the Human. "I imprisoned her in Mana-Dampening Armor to ensure she would never again attempt to control another Creature." The Fire Mystic finished up, showing the Human in the same Armor that the Armored Figure who had been traveling with them was wearing.

"Did you say 'her'?" Zatanna asked.

Ray turned to the Armored Figure, now realizing which gender was under it. "You're a girl under there?" Ray asked. He narrowed his eyes and took out the drawing of the Armored Figure. "That wasn't you on the Scroll, it was your Armor!" Ray exclaimed. "A warning as a way not to cross the Mystics!"

"Now you choose," the Fire Mystic said as he gestured his hand down. "Free a woman who hungered for Power, or save a Father who repeatedly betrayed you, Raiden, and risked his life to save you, Zatanna." The Fire Mystic said.

"How do you know about our Fathers?" Ray asked.

"Don't let it fool you, Ray! Don't let it blind you, Zatanna!" the Armored Figure called out as she walked towards them. "Use your Gauntlet, use your Magic; force it to help us both!" the Armored Figure begged. "The Mystics are heartless and cruel. Look at what they did to me," the Armored Female went on as Ray looked to his Gauntlet while Zatanna looked to her Wand. "Help me, Ray, save me, Zatanna, please!"

Ray and Zatanna both turned to the Armored Female. Ray pushed her away with his Shield while Zatanna blasted her away with a Spell.

"No!" Zatanna exclaimed. "Not in your chance, Iron Lady!"

"I won't force any Creature to do anything against their will!" Ray exclaimed.

"We are Kaijudo Duelists, friends of the Justice League, all Earth's Mightiest Heroes!" the Armored Female argued, running over and grabbing Ray's Gauntlet while trying to gain Zatanna's wand at the same time. "It is our duty to control them!"

"Get away!" Zatanna exclaimed as she kicked the Armored Female in the face.

"Never!" Ray called out as he once again used his Shield to push the Armored Female back.

The Fire Mystic emerged. "You choose wisely, Humans," the Fire Mystic said. "Raiden, Legend speaks of a being born of two Worlds who will bring harmony to both sides of the Veil," the Fire Mystic stated before looking to Zatanna. "I knew it would be best for you to honor your Father, Zatanna," the Fire Mystic proclaimed. "You will gain the Power to free your Father, but you must learn to wait until the time is right, and your Power is at its peak."

"Does that mean you can cure our Fathers?" Ray asked.

"I cannot grant you what you want," the Fire Mystic said. "But I will give you… what you need." He said before a Scroll flew into Ray's hands, and a red surge of Power flowed through Zatanna. The two smiled to the Fire Mystic, who seemed to smile back. He sent Ray, Zatanna and the Armored Female back out through a Blue Flame.

"We did it!" Zatanna exclaimed as she ran and hugged Ray.

"Yeah, Zee, I guess we did." Ray said.

"Fool!" the Armored Female yelled. "I told you the Mystic was not to be trusted!"

"You mean like you?" Zatanna asked. "I don't know who you are under there, but you've got quite some nerve to be trying to use us to do your dirty work for you!"

All of a sudden, roaring filled the air.

"I think we've got bigger problems!" Ray exclaimed.

Everyone turned to see Tatsurion, Robin, Allie, Gabe, Alakshmi, Gargle and Squeaky confronting Lord SkyCrusher, the Blastforge Slaver, Burnclaw the Relentless, and two Drakon Guards confronting them.

"SkyCrusher!" the Armored Female snarled.

"First Tatsurion, his Duelist and his costumed friends, but now the fugitives are delivered to me like offerings out of the blue?" SkyCrusher asked with a grin. He turned back to Burnclaw and the Blastforge Slaver. "You two will be handsomely awarded."

"You made a big mistake coming out here!" Ray exclaimed.

Lord SkyCrusher grinned. "As I heard your friends say, 'you are toast'!" he remarked.

"And as I like to say, you and what toaster?" Ray spat back.

SkyCrusher chuckled and looked to the side. All of a sudden, the giant Fire Creature known as Flametropus emerged, surprising everyone.

"This Toaster!" SkyCrusher exclaimed.

"Okay, that was a poor banter line." Allie mused.

"Still lacks a sense of humor." Ray mused with a nervous shrug.

Everyone started to get into their battle positions. Robin and Zatanna went with Tatsurion as he breathed fire at Flametropus. Zatanna incanted a Spell while Robin sent up several Birdarangs.

The Armored Female turned around to Alakshmi. "Don't just stand there, summon a Creature!" the Armored Figure demanded. "Something like—"

"Don't tell me who to summon!" Alakshmi yelled as she started to perform a Fire Summoning Kata. "Onslaughter Triceps!" she called out, summoning an armored Drakon Guard. As soon as it appeared, it looked to Alakshmi, who motioned her hands towards Flametropus. "Attack!" Alakshmi ordered.

Tatsurion was knocked aside by Flametropus. As he was knocked back, Onslaughter Triceps ran forward and shot fire at Flametropus. Flametropus shot back with an even stronger fire, which overwhelmed Onslaughter Triceps enough to push him back and Banish him.

"You still have a lot to learn, Child!" the Armored Figure spat.

Squeaky ran on the ground and sent a Sonic Scream towards Flametropus just as he was about to breathe fire at Squeaky. Flametropus fell to the ground on his knee, but reached out towards Squeaky. Squeaky attempted to outrun Flametropus, but his hand slammed down and knocked Squeaky into the air and back onto the ground hard. Weakened by the attack, Squeaky was Banished back into the Darkness Realm.

"Squeaky!" Allie called out.

"You'll pay for that!" Zatanna called out, spinning around her wand and glowing at the same time. "Erif nrub nordluac elbbub!" Zatanna incanted while performing a Fire Kata.

Flametropus was pushed back further, surprising Zatanna.

"Whoa!" Zatanna exclaimed. "This is the Power the Mystic granted me?" she asked.

"Enough!" Lord SkyCrusher called out, shooting a missile towards Zatanna. Robin gasped and threw himself into Zatanna to get them out of the way in time. "Much more like it," Lord SkyCrusher spat before looking back towards Flametropus, now recovering. "Now, finish off Tatsurion!" Lord SkyCrusher demanded.

"King Infernus won't take kindly to this!" Robin spat as he and Tatsurion both sent their projectiles at Flametropus.

"He will never know," SkyCrusher spat. "Not until all of you are no more!"

Tatsurion growled and fired more missiles. However, even when he combined his strength with Robin, Flametropus did not falter.

Ray ran up just as Tatsurion was about to unleash another blast.

"Wait, Bob, Robin, fall back," Ray ordered. "The Mystic said that this isn't what I want," Ray started out before looking to the Scroll he was given, seeing a new Kata on it for him to perform. "And right now, I need a miracle."

Ray stepped up and slowly, she started to get into a battle stance, legs spread apart and arms aiming downwards. He lifted up his left leg and placed her right hand over her left, spread slightly apart from each other as well. The Team, Alakshmi, the Armored Female, Allie, Gabe, Gargle and Tatsurion all watched as Ray swung his arms first to his left and then in front of him, now encircling them.

"Four Winds bring…" Ray started out while performing the Kata. He stabbed his arms forwards and yelled, "ABSOLUTE INCINERATION!"

A large blast of fire exploded. Everyone watched as Lord SkyCrusher, the Blastforge Slaver, and Burnclaw were knocked back, and Flametropus was incinerated. The new technique, the Spell of Absolute Incineration, made an enormous crater on the top of the Volcano, destroying all of the Enemy Forces.

Ray was thrown back, and the remaining energy was repulsed around him, which accidentally hit Zatanna. Zatanna, who was running over to Ray, yelled in pain and fell to the ground, sliding towards Ray.

Immediately, Ray's Gauntlet was deactivated. Ray struggled to get up, but he was feeling too weak. He looked over to Zatanna and gasped, seeing that her hands were burnt from the attack.

"Zatanna, you okay?" Robin asked as he, Allie, Gabe and Tatsurion came over.

"Yeah," Zatanna said as she cringed from the burns. "I think so."

"What was that?" Allie asked.

Gabe picked up the Scroll and investigated it. "Judging by the Writing and the Kata Diagram, I'd say this is an extremely powerful Fire Spell!" Gabe exclaimed.

All of a sudden, the ground started to crack from the aftermath of the Spell.

"Too powerful!" Bob exclaimed, seeing Alakshmi and the Armored Female fall off some rocks. He used his wings to get everyone on his back before leaping onto a falling rock. "Hang on!" he called out, riding down the lava towards a stable rock structure.

"I think you just earned your Hero Status, Bob." Ray mused.

"Alakshmi and the Armored Guy," Gabe said. "Do you think—"

Allie shook her head. "Don't count on it," she said. "Alakshmi always bounces back… unfortunately."

Back at the Temple, the Duelists were presenting the new Scroll to the Duel Masters.

"'The Spell of Absolute Incineration'?" Nadia read.

"Trust me, you don't want him to demonstrate." Allie joked. Zatanna, now with her arms in gauze, nodded.

"Looks like Creature Mystics do exist." Ray said.

"Mystics, as in, plural?" Master Nadia asked.

"Well, since there's a Fire Mystic, it stands to reason that a Water, Nature Darkness and Light Mystic would exist as well."

"And if one of them can cure my Dad…" Ray started out.

"And free my Dad…" Zatanna went on.

"We're going to find them." Ray finished up.

Back in the Fire Realm, Lord SkyCrusher was back on his throne. He looked down as Alakshmi and the Armored Female were brought to him by the Drakon Guards.

"You two aren't very good at staying uncaught, are you?" Lord SkyCrusher asked. Both Alakshmi and the Female in Armor, who Alakshmi wasn't even aware was a female, looked to each other nervously. "Nevertheless, I believe you will both be very useful to me, for I shall be needing humans to work for me, just as you had once done for the Choten… Alakshmi."

"Who is the Choten?" the Armored Figure asked.

"My former Master," Alakshmi hissed before turning back to SkyCrusher. "I'm in, only if my new Master is too."

Lord SkyCrusher chuckled. "Very well," SkyCrusher said before throwing a small box. "But I expect you to be ready for the job… at all costs."

Alakshmi was released by one of the Drakon Guards. She narrowed her eyes at the box before she went to open it up. As soon as she saw what was within, she looked up to Lord SkyCrusher and grinned. Lord SkyCrusher grinned in return as Alakshmi activated her Gauntlet.

"So, where do I start?"
