"FALLCRY"

As three individuals stood within the office of the headmaster, one of them takes a sip from their coffee mug and examines a holographic projection of the city. One region of it was marked red. General Ironwood tunes his attention to the city in the distance, hands folded behind his back as he watched his ships depart and gear up, taking along third-years or more to the ashy battle within Vale. The doors had slammed open, leaving Professor Goodwitch to jump in surprise. When she realized it was a familiarly blonde student she had known, she lowered her guard and sighed in relief, "Mr. Arc, refrain from doing that again."

Jaune nods rather than talking. His eyes trained in on the map, walking into the room with Pyrrha alongside him, "Professor Ozpin, General Ironwood, what's going on?" The general gave him a side-glance and nods to the headmaster whom begun to speak for the two of them, "The Decimators. They've penetrated the defending walls outside of Vale and are now invading…" Ozpin grimaced, his hands folding and chin perched onto it, "The border guards are doing their best to fight back, but we've already had so many casualties and they're beginning to weaken. By the time we're deploying Atlesian robots, troops and third-year students to support them, they're either pinned down or dead within a matter of five minutes."

Pyrrha's eyes widened, turning around and quickly speeding out of the room. The four others within the room make turn to her direction to watch her leave, as it only took Professor Goodwitch to ask, "Miss Nikos, where are you going?" The champion stopped and turned, keeping her side glancing at them.

"To gather FALL and join the fray."

She voluntarily left, turning the corner and vanishing from sight. Attention soon set upon Jaune, who returned the glance to each person. He nods concurringly to them, "Prepare bullheads for my unison." He half-demanded, half-requested, as Ozpin was reluctant to do so by the time he took thought and opened his scroll to book several bullheads, "General Ironwood, I believe there was someone you wanted him to recruit and meet…" Ozpin resumed focus on the scroll in hand. The Atlesian general walks up next to the headmaster, expression firm, "… Yes. I do. Mr. Arc, I will be having someone help you and your Unison. However…" His expression darkened, "If they are drastically harmed or killed… I will have your head."

The blonde leader shot straight up, a nerve twitching in his spine as he nodded, "Y-yes sir!" Ironwood sighed, clapping his hands. On cue: a girl with orange bushy hair and near-torquiose irises. Her attire consisting of a somewhat more civilian-casual clothing than anything. There had been a pink bow tied around the back of her hair as it wiggled slightly due to the running air, "Salutations! My name is Penny!" The girl seemed to have beamed up right on instant, raising a levelled hand to her brow-height.

"Penny, this is Jaune Arc, leader of the unison you will be assisting." The general claimed, seeming to frown, "… As you assist him, please listen to his directions carefully, and if anything, please avoid being injured." Professor Goodwitch switched the holographic projection of the city to the three bullheads that awaited at the lift-off pads, "Jaune Arc, your transports are ready." He nods to her in response, "On it. Penny, right? Nice to meet you, but we'll have to cut short while we're on the way to Vale in the bullhead."

He quickly turned around to head for the bullhead pad. He was already prepped up for this kind of situation with his gear and all. Penny's became averted between the blonde and the three remaining grown-ups. Ironwood's head beckons a nod to her, and the ginger spins on her heel and directs full attention to the general, making a mock salutation with a hand raised parallel to her brow, "You can count on me!" She beamed with a gleeful grin, marching quickly to follow behind her newly assigned leader.

"Are you going to be alright with this, James?" Glynda spoke first before the other two, fixating her glasses and glancing to the holographic projection model. "I'm doing what I think is best for the city; even if it means the dearest of sacrifices to me." They grimaced slightly, and as much as they didn't want to do this, they'd have to for the better of humanity. Against these 'Decimators'… they'd stand no chance without the best help they can get and offer. In Remnant… as of right now… all four kingdoms have a common enemy in hand before they could decide some kind of war wage between one another.

Okay, to say that he was weirded out by a close-tagging ginger that followed behind him was wrong.

It was painfully awkward.

"Uh… Penny? What are you doing?"

"Following and waiting for your commands, leader!" Penny chirped, hand raised to parallel level to her brow. His shoulders slumped slightly while he made way to the bullhead pad, "O…kay? Can you uh… back up a l-little? You're taking up some of my personal space." Jaune points to the pressed-up shoulders that belonged to Penny and Jaune. Without a second to waste or question, Penny stepped back and allowed him to exhale in relief, "Phew…" He exhaled, "Penny... so that's your name, right?"

She nods, "Correct!"

"A-again, my name's Jaune… Jaune Arc. Just call me by my first name. Think of us as friends too, alright? N-nothing really serious…" He sweatdropped while continuing down the corridor, only to listen to silence and a lack of another pair of feet walking. He turned his head towards Penny, who now stood idly still like a statue, "P-Penny? You okay?"

"W… what did you… say?"

"T-that my name's Jaune?" Jaune was absolutely terrified at this point, her darkened tone contrasting greatly from her cheerful one. Oh Monty, Ironwood would kill him. Literally.

"No… after that." Her chin lifts a bit to show her entire face again, "You told me to think of you as a friend?"

"Y-…" He gulped, "Y-yeah, d-did you not want to be friend—ack!" The girl's body slammed into his. He blinked at the unexpected weight she had tolled on her entirely. "Splendid! I always wanted more friends! Hurry up we got to get the to bullheads!" The ginger snatched his collar and literally ran down the hall with a screaming blonde in tow with unmatched strength, "PENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

Teams [J]NPR, RWBY, CFVY and SSSN loitered around the pad, looking for their main leader of FALL.

Clack! Cling! Clang!

The 15 members of the unison turn their heads towards the direction of the noise, which was hidden behind the curtain of darkness casted by the sun. Sage had shoved Sun forward, causing the Monkey Faunus to step forward fearfully and lean his head in more to see what he could.

A whisking blur of a silhouette shot over his head, causing him to shriek and fall on his back, "AH!" His arms shot up, slow motion kicking in to see a leaping ginger with a pink bow soar through the air. Her hand grasped around the hoodie of a familiar blonde knight who had tears waterfalling from his circled eyes. A confused smile plastered of his face slowly as Sun started waving his hand in the slow-motion zone, "Heeeeyyyyy?"

Zip.

The duo crashed into the center of the lift-off pad, the slamming of metallic armor belonging to a blonde clanging hardly against the ground when Penny dropped the blonde leader of FALL, "Salutations, fellow team memb-!" Before the ginger could put up a hand to salute, her eyes caught onto a quartet of familiar girls, "Ruby!"

The young reaper blinked skeptically, her eyes slowly widening, "Penny?! What are you doing here?!" The fifteen-year old threw her arms around Penny in a gripping hug, which was returned with a death-giving one that caused Ruby to gasp and lifted up into the air. "I was assigned to help your unison out! I didn't think you were apart of it!" Penny beamed in surprise, arms flailing by her sides.

"Cool! And I am! Along with everyone else here!" She motioned to the others, aside from Jaune, "That's Pyrrha, that funny looking guy in green is Ren—" "Hey!" "—his girlfriend, Nora—" "We're not together-together… a-are we?" "You know my team already. The blonde guy with a monkey tail is Sun and his team. The guy who's in a tie is Neptune, guy with red hair is Scarlet and the guy with a cool overcloak is Sage!"

Penny gave them a cheerful grin and waved. They return it shortly after.

"That's team Coffee, or CFVY." Ruby gestured to Coco, Fox, Velvet and Yatsuhashi, "Their leader's Coco, her partner is Fox, the cool one with bunny ears is Velvet, and the really tall one is Yatsukabashicondawashi!"

The tall Asian pokerfaced, "It's Yatsuhashi." He corrected her.

"Whatever! But this is our unison, First Ascended Legacies! It's really exciting to have you in it too!" The reaper beamed, running in circle around Penny. The ginger's torquois eyes glanced down to a small ball of black fur near her leg, "A dog?"

"Oh! That's Zwei! My team's dog! Everyone loves him-!"

"Nnngh." Blake grunted.

"Well, nearly everyone." She pouts.

"I know this is friendly and all but," Pyrrha stepped in, placing her hands on Ruby and Penny's shoulder, "We have to get going." The members of FALL made their nods, turning to the blonde knight shortly after, "What's your call, eh?" Sage asked, arms crossed after he straightened his jacket.

When Jaune recomposed himself and dusted himself off, his eyes turned to the skies. Everyone elses' eyes made for the same direction the ocean-blue eyes had gazed off to, "To the skies… since we're the first, and unannounced, Unison there is that Vale's got… we'll make ourselves known." He built up the courage that proudly roared within his heart. Turning around, the blonde counted the four bullheads at their disposal along with their according pilots, "Coco, Nora, Neptune, Ruby, you'll hop into the same bullhead as me. Pyrrha, Weiss, Scarlet, Sun, you take another and cover the rooftops, just make sure to ask the pilot for a safe-zone landing on the roof for covering fire. Everyone else, on ground. Pyrrha, you're taking point for the squad you're assigned to. Sun, lead Ren, Blake and Yang to cover ground with everyone else that's there. No one gets downed, no one gets killed in our unison. Understood?"

Everyone had risen up their arms into the air, aside from Ren—who smirked with crossed arms—, Blake and Scarlet. The groups promptly split up.

"Jaune?"

He turned his head to notice Penny, blinking, "O-oh, sorry Penny!" He sheepishly scratched the back of his head. He felt like an idiot, forgetting about the newest addition to the unison, "Go with Sun, see if you can help out his squadron." She smiled in response, saluting and running off to jump into Sun's bullhead.

"We're lifting off, prepare yourselves everyone!" Jaune shouted over when the bullheads lifted off the pad and begins to fly off to the city. Everyone seemed anxious or shaking slightly, as the blonde couldn't help it either. He was shaking more than they were. He knew he wasn't much to help with behind strength and such, but his thinking within the battle was what counted the most. Closing his eyes, Jaune exhaled with the brimmer of mist slipping from his breath…

The White Knight turned to face him as their sword aimed at the army of Decimators, their animation suspended…

He opened his eyes, the ocean-blue irises glimmering slightly brighter than what they had before, "Listen up." Everyone's scrolls had clicked, receiving their call connectively, "Everyone meet Sin, also a new addition to the team and my AI."

"Lucky!" He heard Sun shout from the distant bullhead they flew in. Jaune shook his head with a brief chuckle and continued, "No doubt that the Decimators have weapons like ours, and half of the unison haven't even fought against them before, so know this! They aren't something to play with, so stay behind cover and do what you can-!"

"Jaune, incoming communications relay from the Headmaster of Beacon." Sin chimed in, intercepting his sentence. He nods, "Send it through."

"As far as we can develop by far, the Atlesian scientists have created an anti-toxin degree mask that was recently made, but is still in development. Each bullhead sent with everyone has sets of these masks, so it is highly advised that everyone takes one, except for Penny. General Ironwood had done something to prevent Penny from being harmed from the toxins they emit after being killed." On cue: hatches that revealed rectangular prisms of black emboss-metal appeared, "Put these infront of your mouth and use your aura to activate them. They'll protect you. Good luck."

The communications relay was terminated, as each person of FALL had taken one and done as instructed. Jaune moves his hand forward, holding it infront of his mouth and focused. With a speck of aura slipping into the prism, it immediately expanded horizontally and enlargened to cover up the lower-half of his face, making a dark-metal mask as intricate weaving vine designs of emboss became visible on it. Each depthed valley of these masks slightly glowing as converters for oxygen, "Alright." He voice hollowed behind the facial gear.

A curtain of realization washed over him, "Wait… the citizens, what abou—" Pyrrha shook her head with a frown to him, having placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him from completing his sentence. Even with her attempts to comfort him, the blood that ran through his veins were constantly trying to search for ways to get back into its regular flow, "Damn… it."

"I know that feel. Don't let it get into your head, boy." The leader of CFVY lowers her sunglasses slightly, "We don't want you breaking now specifically, and you still have more things to protect, right?" She raises her glasses back up to her eyes.

His blood stopped and fully rerouted, "R-right…" He set himself back to the distance. As pillars of smoke polluted the skies, the ascension of bullheads going in and out and notable explosions from the distance had played, so was his head when trying to find ways to counter this. He had countered this once already, but there was something that drastically motivated him, right? "Sun, Pyrrha, can you lead your squads?"

Pyrrha nods to him with Sun giving a thumbs up from the bullhead flying feet away from them, "Good." Jaune's eyes scrutinized to enter the fluent motion of his thoughts. Their bullheads were minutes away from the scene of chaos. A streak of silence ticked away as the sounds of the bullhead blades spun rapidly. There had been a strange tinge that pinched at the nip of his vertebrae, but he didn't know why. With them now within the city's bordering edges, they could see the running citizens going rampart across the street and searching for safety, away from the conflict as officials and other non-combatant soldiers tried to direct every one of them with no avail.

"Neptune, rifle out." Jaune had commanded suddenly, leaving the others perk their brows in confusion. Neptune takes a moment to realize that he had been commanded by someone who wasn't his leader, taking his trident and switching it into its sniper-format. With the rifle's scope hoisted to their eye, it traced Jaune's finger to the distance and gazed distantly in between the explosions and astray bullets that flung into the air. The aqua-haired teen's eyes widened, "Heads up! We have mounted Nevermores approaching the airspace above the battle field!"

"What?!" Ruby shrieked, grimacing at the last time her cape was pinned down by a Nevermore projectile. She withdrew a compacted form of Cresent Rose out; aiming the caliber out to the distance for precautions. Everyone else began to prepare themselves, the bullhead pilots quickly giving eachother signals of how to maneuver out of the situation if things got out of hand.

"They're estimated to meet with us in three minutes." Sin informed the entire unison, who soon digitalized into reality within Jaune's bullhead and frightening a good few of the members. Coco restrained from slapping the AI with her handbag. "What's your call, Fearless Leader?" Nora giggled while loading up Magnhild with a few grenade rounds. They all glanced towards him with expectations of what their trusted leader and friend commanded. Shaken, he gulped. "Hey… Jaune." The familiar voice of a rabbit faunus rung through his ears.

"V-Velvet?"

"I-I… have trust in you. I'm afraid too… but we can do this. Together." His ocean-blue eyes glanced to the distant bullhead containing Velvet. Her hand risen up next to her head, making a peace sign with her index and middle finger. One by one, each hand of his unison start to shoot up and make the same sign.

Sun... Sage… Scarlet… Neptune.

Ruby… Weiss… Yang… Blake.

Coco… Fox… Velvet… Yatsuhashi.

Pyrrha… Ren… Nora… Penny… Sin.

"First Ascended Legacies," Yatsuhashi took the turn to talk through the comms. Yang waved with her peace-sign hand across the air,

"When we're fighting the enemy, we're sure to make them FALL."

"JUSTICE WILL BE SWIIIIFT!"

The soldiers down at the grounds that used fallen building-debris or vehicles as cover had glanced up from their spots. The Atlesian robots continuing their struggle while three or so had been shot down by Grimm-bone bullets that penetrated their armor or completely obliterated it. With more coming to back up, the Atlesian machines were going to continue to be shot down constantly without end. The Decimators had been on the other side of the barren-street battlefield, also using cover to their advantage as a massive hole displayed itself clearly through the border-wall. Hundreds more of them were behind that gap that slowed their intrusion to the city.

Injured to active hunters also take their turn to glance up from the rooftops and grounds to hear the voice of a popular first-year student who decapitated a Nevermore's head off with a scythe. Trails of pinkish gas descended from the bellyside of the columnimbus clouds, each round connecting alongside the surface that was trampled on by the humanoid Grimms. Decimators were sent careening into walls or objects, the directly hit ones having to dissipate on instant.

With a roaring cheer from Vale's alliance reaching up to the First Ascended Legacies, hunters to soldiers gathered themselves again and used their enemy's predicament to their advantage, firing off into the debris clouds. With multiple semblances quickly opening up from the hunters, speed quickly gusted over the battlefield to remove Decimators off from the rooftops…

But with bullets pouring out from the other side, soldiers to hunters had been shot down or killed within a single moment, their bodies thumping in addition to the bodies of civilian bodies that wore faces of shock. Veins of black etching out from their necks and across their face as the venomous poison had taken on another degree. To the arms and legs that were severed from their main bodies and scattered across the field… but that won't stop them.

Three bullheads came to a dropping stop, their bottoms approximately an inch away from meeting the ground dead-on, "Hnngh, I'm going to be sick!" Sun rolled out of their bullheads comically, clutching onto their stomachs. With Blake, Velvet, Yatsuhashi, Fox, Sage, Scarlet, Penny, Pyrrha, Ren, Weiss and Yang coming out last. A holographic image of Sin appeared next to Yang's head, as Yang chuckled and smirked at Sin, "That was awesome, Sinny!"

"'Sin'… please. I suppose it was… 'awesome'." Sin displays a friendly grin back to the blonde.

All the teens prop their weapons and walked forward in a marching line. The rest of the stayed-behind allies had their heads turned to them in utter awe.

Back to the skies, Jaune, Coco, Nora, Ruby and Neptune had flown over an entire dozen or more Nevermores that flapped across the skies and to the city. "Coco, get your minigun ready to take down Nevermores. Ruby, Neptune, focus fire on the mounters, pick them off since we can't penetrate Nevermores unless we have some kind of other plan that lets use pierce through that. Coco, you know what to do. Nora, can you create diversions with some smoke rounds with Magnhild?" The hammer-crazed ginger beamed, throwing a thumbs-up, "I'll break their legs!" The four other individuals on her team leave off a pokerface to her, their thumbs half-heartedly going up by their waist-height.

"Jaune, there are Decimators with guns that could potentially harm the bullhead to a severe degree. There are also smaller avian-type Grimm alongside the Nevermores, high precaution is advised. The highest advice I could recommend is waiting for reinforcements. We're outnumbered from one to a hundred—"

"That's fair enough." Jaune firmly placed the words, causing Sin to blink through the screen. His eyes caught onto his other teammate's reactions, seeing Ruby smiling—trying to—and body tremble from the verbal firmness in his three words. Coco had a head turned, handbag slung over her shoulders, "You're really bold for a kid…" Neptune had one hand raised in a thumbs-up, but his face was clearly written with shock behind the teeth-baring smile he had. Then he rose his other hand to make another thumbs-up. The more the merrier.

Nora—she's actually just spinning the cartridge of Magnhild manically.

Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Her head turned to him. He shudders. The blonde nervously waved his hand, "G-good…" Soon, his attention steers to the pilot of the Bullhead, "Let's get ready to go, all I need you to do is tilt the bullhead."

The driver was silent, and skeptical at first before he responded, "Wait, you want me to tilt the bullhead—"

"Yep."

"So you can assumably jump out—"

"Mhm."

"and try to take on a massive army of Nevermores?"

"You got it."

"…" Silence lingered from around the two of them until the background sound of a Nevermore's screech filled the air. "Sounds like a good idea. I'll do that." The pilot said without a trace of sarcasm embedded into it, "I'll call in."

With a nod from the blonde knight, he turns back to his friends and glances out of the hatch, "Get ready, we're dropping in on them." Everyone perks a brow—aside from Nora, who was casually switching Magnhild from its grenade launcher to hammer formation—at the familiar blonde.

"Calling in!" The pilot shouts over as the bullhead begins to reangle itself, causing everyone to hold unto the latches provided to keep them steady. They could see the amassed group of Nevermores and other class-type avians that were present before them. Akin to the population of an army, the rest turn to Jaune for another response.

"Hold them off until more reinforcements can come. Coco, Nora, handle the Nevermores. Ruby, Neptune, scope out from up here and give us a scout, provide covering fire only when we need it against Decimators. I'll try and handle the Decimators, but taking down the Nevermores will help us more than anything else." The team nods, in which Jaune turns his attention back upon the horde. A pat claps against his shoulder, soon followed by Coco winking at him and jumping out of the bullhead with her suitcase unlapsing into a minigun. Then Nora followed in with a salute and fell backwards in exeunt of the ship, giggling as her hammer readies. Neptune and Ruby gave their blonde Unison leader a thumbs-up as he gulps and dove out in third…

He was panting, sweat pouring down the side of his face while the rummaging chaos of explosions and breaking buildings sounded off trouble in his ears. Holding his hand down the despairity of safety street; a brunette with hazel eyes, a Faunus wielding the traits of a cat. His sister, specifically. Alice. She was also panting voicelessly, as all that came out were the fumes of her breath, her eyes searching for safety frantically. Clayton's head turned to see the shelter of which he had once called home becoming nothing but boards and dust scattered across a surface. Others were screaming at their own panic, some were petrified with complete shock.

Fumes of dark smoke ascend into the air within pillars, clogging the skies with its own pollution of flames. Beyond those crowds of buildings and people, there are monsters… that prove to be more frightening than the Grimm themselves. Or are they Grimm? The boy could not figure. He simply ran.

Ran as fast as he could to get him and his sister away from the danger.

With a whistle of a falling object descending from the ground, the body of a Nevermore came crashing down into a building adjacent from the two kids. From the corner of Clayton's peripheral, he watched as the building infront of them timber and crash into the ground infront of them. Dust to bricks, metal to beams, electricity sparking from one end to the other; their way out was blocked, as Clayton and Alice stood still and was left with eyes printed with fear. The buildings of Vale on their sides; there was no way out unless they made a full U-turn around the entire city-block.

What was once their home now becomes their cage.

Clayton and Alice turn around; the faunus and human that held hands beginning to watch as the beings of black with white-armor emerged unto the streets infront of them. Soon, their plates of white shift across their skin before it all merges together within their palm. The Decimators materialize their guns, creating a clearing to only leave but the two kids within the middle of the street with nowhere to run.

The raven-haired boy was already infront of Alice. Nothing but a steel pipe from the destroyed building behind him in hand. The faunus looked up her brother and failed to speak, granted that she was mute. With the human boy turning only his head to halfly face the brunette, he nods.

"… Crawl under the debris if you can… I know it's dangerous, but listen to me for this one, okay sis'..?" Clayton began with a soft expression, a light smile left upon his lips, "… Do it for me. Get out of here. I'll be right behind you."

Her jaw dropped slightly, shaking her head frantically and swished an arm across the air.

"I promise." He continued, causing her to stop and flinch, "Always… I'll always be there for you. We'll always be a family. Now go!"

Alice whimpered, her head lowering and turned around, running to the fallen building that collapsed earlier. Searching for a gap; she found a small cave to fit a small person. Using that, she would begin crawling through until she heard gunfire releasing from outside as she crawled faster in panic. Looking behind her, all she saw was Clayton's foot until a large piece of debris had blocked it off…

"N…gh." The raven-haired boy winced, bullets having reflected off a violet aura before it depleted. One bullet making its way to his shoulder while the Decimators lower their weapons in question of the boy's living status. He looks up as his eyes begun to glow with violet flames in his irises, overlaying the silver eyes he wielded, "Never… will I let you… touch her..!" He gritted his teeth together, a hand lapsed over the wound until he began to charge forward into the crowd. The clouds begin to set in, as it rains lightly. One arm stretched out to his side to wield his weapon; the boy—a warrior—charges forward into the fray of the countless of humanoid Grimm…

Within the midst of darkness;

There stands the familiar blonde knight in shining white armor;

within the child's eyes, there is hope.

"Remember me... Jaune."

With every step, there is a splash of water kicking up into the air.

With every swing, there is the beating of a Grimm connecting with a metal rod.

With every roar, there is a warrior that carries a will.

Azure eyes reveal themselves to the world known as Remnant.

Quack!

Hello everyone, so sorry for not posting earlier! I got a review from a guest that I haven't posted for two months when I realize that I really do need to post a new chapter. Whenever you lack motivation, and don't look back to how many people are actually reading your fanfiction, you suddenly stop continuing the story waiting to be unfolded. Then again, that might just be me. Quack. So until next time everyone, I'll hold it up now that I update weekly and see how it goes! Can't give up yet!

Aborting thread, fanfictionPenguin.
