"What's all of this?" Regina asked, looking at the table and wine and candles that Alize had set up.

Alize quickly hid the little black box and went to get the wine. "Just a dinner I planned a couple days ago, nothing important."

"Clearly it was, dear." Regina crossed her arms.

"Don't worry about it, just make this stuff go away please. And I need an hour head start before you come home, okay?"

Regina sighed. "Really? You know this will be the longest hour of my life."

"Yep." Alize said, walking up the stairs.

Regina sighed again and flopped down on a trunk.

"Candles:Check. Apple cider, iced and spiked: check. Roaring fire: check. Bear skin rug, fake but realistic: check." After her failed attempt at dinner with Regina the last time, Alize decided to go with a more cozy and simple approach. It was nowhere close to where she wanted to propose to Regina. She'd thought of the bar where they'd met or the diner where they'd had their first date, but neither one of those places was anywhere close at the moment. She went to dress herself in a simple blue dress, nothing fancy but the slits revealed a lot of her legs which she knew Regina loved. The timer on the stove dinged and she went to go take the pie out of the oven.

Regina leaped to her feet when the time was up, throwing down her book that she'd been reading and magically transporting herself to her mansion and knocked on the door. Boy did that feel weird.

Alize opened it and pulled her in for a passionate kiss before suddenly breaking away and going into the den.

Regina smiled, the sweet aroma of Apple pie filling the house. She walked into the den, seeing the beautiful bear skin rug on the floor. A bottle of her apple cider was cooling in a bucket of ice with two wine glasses next to it. The fireplace was roaring and crackling with a gorgeous fire and a baked apple pie was sitting on the coffee table which had been turned sideways to accommodate the new rug.

"Do you like it?" Alize asked, looking nervous.

"Of course I do." Regina said immediately, the blonde grinning in response.

"I tried to bake a pie but I'm sure it'll be nowhere as good as yours."

"I'm sure it will be delicious, dear." Regina waved a hand over herself and her pants suit changed into a more comfortable long black and gray dress. Alize came around behind her to let her hair out of its ponytail and spread it out on her back before wrapping her arms around the brunette's waist. "I love you Regina Mills."

"I love you too, Alize Hayes."

Regina smiled at her girlfriend as they lay on their stomachs on the rug, full of pie and cider and simply enjoying each other's company. The night couldn't have gone better in any way. But Alize still seemed slightly anxious and it bothered the brunette because she wouldn't tell her what was wrong.

Alize suddenly sat up and reached beneath the couch and pulled something out, keeping it hidden in her fist. "Regina, you know me right?"

Regina smirked and sat up as well. "I would like to think I do."

"Well, you know I'm not big on mushy stuff and love speechs and...you know."

"I do." Regina said, watching her closely.

"Well, I need to tell you something and it's not easy." She took a deep breath while Regina let out an amused smirk. "I love you, will all my heart and every fiber of my being. I can't imagine my life without you in it and in truth, I would rather be dead than live and not be in your arms. You are my heart and soul. You're...my world. Honestly I don't know who I was before I met you, because it feels like my life only started when we did meet. I would fight a thousand yaoguai just to be with you. Sure I would probably die in the process but you understand my meaning. I love you more than anything and I would like...to…" She took another deep breath that came out shaky.

Regina kept her face impassive, but inside she was fighting back tears.

Alize took her hands in her own. "Will you marry me, Regina?"

The floodgates burst and Regina couldn't hold back the tears of happiness she felt. "Alize." She whispered.

The blonde was looking at her. "I know that you have a lot of ties here and you've had relationships with other people and they might be stronger than the one we have, but even if you say no, just know that I do love you."

"Oh shut up, you stupid blonde!" Regina laughed. "Nothing would make me happier than being your wife." She crushed her lips against the blonde's, overjoyed as Alize kissed her back with just as much vigor. She leaned back and pressed their foreheads together. "I love you so much."

Alize pulled away to hold up the little black box. "This is for you."

Regina opened it, her jaw dropping at the sight of the diamond studded ring. "Alize, this is- this is beautiful. Tell me you didn't spend a fortune on this."

"Only a small one."

"What?"

"Regina, if I had all the money in the world, I would spend every cent on you because you deserve it and so much more. It wouldn't even be enough. I know its nothing like what you had in the Enchanted Forest. I'm sure you had jewelry made of every gem imaginable."

"Yes, and because this came from you, from your heart, then it's worth thousands of those gems combined." Regina smiled and looked at the ring. "I need to get you one then. Wait, what does Regina cor meum mean?"

"It's latin for queen of my heart." Alize said. "You are the queen of my heart."

Regina wiped her eyes as Alize put the ring on her finger. She laughed. "Look at us, crying like babies." She leaned forward to wipe a few stray tears that managed to escape Alize's own eyes.

"I love Regina."

"I love you too Alize."

"So this makes you my fiancee." She grinned. "This makes you mine." She playfully leaped on top of Regina and pinned her to the floor. "You know how you said when we met you thought of riding crops and handcuffs?"

"Yeah."

"Check out the bedroom."

Regina raised an eyebrow and went to do so. The bedroom was lit with candles with rose petals sprinkled across the bed and floor. As well as a bottle of wine sitting on the night stand.

"Well, let's see those fantasies come to life." She turned to see Alize standing behind her, wearing nothing but black lingerie. Handcuffs were hanging from both of her wrists and she had a riding crop in her mouth. She flicked both eyebrows in a suggestive way.

Regina immediately yanked her into the room and slammed the door.
