SURPRISE! I'm actually posting a chapter!

Sorry, guys, or maybe not. I've been writing a lot of this story in a notebook, and I completely forgot to publish any of it, and I really hate transferring a story in my notebooks to my computer. Just so you know, in the notebook, I've got over 150 page pages.

Unfortunately, I'm not even half way done. I do have a good bit of the story line thought out though... And pairings. Can't forget the pairings.

So, do I own Hetalia? Nope. Do I own the many OCs that are found in this story? You can bet your bottom dollar that I do.

How does this chapter start off? Well, with Yao ranting unhappily at Kiku of course!

"Why is he so much better than me already?! I've had my equipment for longer! It's not fair! Also, why do I only get elemental spells?! Stupid wizard. Why do I have to be a mage?"

"Eto, Yao-san, the Kirkland family has been in the magic business since before he moved to America." Kiku began, "There is really no reason to be upset. Besides, at least you do not cook like him."

Shì, well, that's true." Yao sighed, "But, Kiku, it's still not fair. I feel like I'm not getting any better with this magic stuff, aru."

"It will take time." The smaller replied as he stood from his seat across from Ivan, "Now if you'll excuse me, I would like to put in some practice as well. Ludwig suggested we meet up and spar. Excuse me." he left.

"He never stays to listen to me!"

"I believe it's because he finds you annoying when you are upset." Ivan replied.

"You are so mean, aru!"

"At least you have someone to talk to." Ivan retorted, "Feliciano looks very lonely."

The Chinese-American looked at the younger Vargas, "Shì... He does look lonely. Perhaps we should give him some company, aru."

"I would, but I believe he is afraid of me for some reason." Ivan sighed, "I have yet to find the cause of his silly fear..."

"Oh..." Yao bit his bottom lip, "Well, I suppose if he really wants some company, he'll join someone, aru."

"But what if he feels he is a nuisance?" The Russian stood up, "I believe we should join him instead."

"But did you just...?" Yao shook his head, and he and the Scary One made their way over to Feli and sat across from him.

The Italian looked from Yao to Ivan to Yao to Ivan, "C-Ciao, I-Ivan, Yao. What can I help you with?"

"Nothing." The tallest replied, "We're here to help you."

"Veh? Help me? Feli blinked in obvious confusion, "With what?"

"Your love life."

Yao and Feli both stared at Ivan, "Eh?"

"You're in love with Ludwig, da? But you do not know if he feels the same."

"Veh... Does EVERYONE know how I feel?"

Yao nodded, "Everyone except your love interest."

"Well, I appreciate the thought, but I'll figure something out eventually." Feliciano smiled weakly, "After all, I'm Italian. One of the worlds greatest lovers." he beamed.

The mage smiled, "Well, if you ever do need help, you have lots of friends here."

"... You think so?" The Italian muttered and glanced at the table in front of him.

"Well, yes. Don't you think so?" Yao frowned.

"The twelve of us ARE friends, da?" Ivan's smile almost faltered, "Why would we not be?"

Feli suddenly looked worried, "But... Sometimes I feel like I'm just a nuisance... That I only get in the way..."

"What? Why would you think that, aru?" Yao questioned, "No one thinks you get in the way. In fact, you can be quite helpful, especially in home ec, and you're very good at soccer, so I'd much rather have you on my team."

"You are very nice to everyone, even those that scare you or don't deserve it." Ivan added, "I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to be friends with you."

"Maybe I'm too nice." Feliciano sighed, "I let people walk all over me all the time, but I never get angry like some people say I should."

"None of us would ever use you, Feliciano, aru." Yao replied.

"And we'll protect you from the ones that try." Ivan gave the Italian a genuine smile.

The Vargas grinned brightly, "Veh~ Grazie, Yao, Ivan. I reeeaaally appreciate the two of you trying to cheer me up!" he looked at the Russian and giggled, "I think you've been hanging out with Alfred a lot though. That last part kinda sounded like something he'd say."

The tallest twitched, "I do not think I like that too much. Maybe I will go squish that insolent bug with the hilt of my sword."

Feliciano went wide-eyed, "Wh-What? Oh, no! That's not a good idea at all! Alfred is our friend. Why would you want to harm him?"

"Because I do not like him, and his obnoxious idiocy is apparently wearing off on me."

"Oh, you DO like him, but you just THINK you don't." The Italian began, "I've seen the two of you of you getting along so well before that I almost thought you were two different people. You don't argue all the time like people think, but it's okay when you do because friends rarely fight, best friends try to kill each other, and lovers are an entirely different story."

"Are you insinuating that Alfred and I are best friends?"

"Yup!"

Yao was amazed. If it were him, he would be trembling under the Russian's gaze. Yet, here was Feliciano, their cowardly, little Italian, expressing his opinion freely, oblivious to the intimidating aura The Scary One was radiating. The Chinese senior smiled, "It seems you are no longer afraid of Ivan, aru."

"Well, why should I be afraid of one of my friends?" The Italian sophomore replied with a question and a smile of his own.

The Russian blinked in confusion, "So, we... ARE friends? I always thought you were afraid of me."

"Mmh... I was." Feliciano admitted sheepishly, "But you're not that bad. You're actually kinda fun!"

"Thank you, Feliciano. I am glad we are finally friends."

"Aiyaa... Why are Westerners so strange?"

The next scene starts off with Ludwig and Kiku sparring. The Asian was out of touch, and the German wanted to be better so he could protect Feliciano when the time came. IF it came. Hopefully, it wouldn't.

Anyway, they were sparring when they were approached by two creatures that were not quite human. The larger of the two was a skeleton dressed in black armor and a brown hooded cloak. He had a large shield and a long sword. The smaller looked more human than his companion, but his two abnormally sharp teeth led one to believe otherwise. He was clothed in a dark blue tunic and leggings with a deep purple cloak. A small sword was sheathed.

"Those two do not seem very friendly, Ludwig-san. I suggest we use utmost caution." Kiku whispered.

"Ja, I know." The German nodded.

It was dark outside. The grey clouds were blocking the sun.

"Greetings, friends." The more human-looking of the two smiled merrily, "How are you on this fine day?"

"Very well. Danke." Ludwig tried to be polite as to not start an unwanted fight, "May I ask who the two of you are?"

"Ah, yes. Where are my manners? I am Selloenee, and my skeletal friend here is Dralinde." The smaller of the newcomers replied.

"I am Ludwig," The German began, "and this is Kiku. we're... Not from around here." he paused, "Um, if you don't mind me asking... What are..." he trailed off figuring that wouldn't be the best question to ask. The strangers might take offense.

"Have no fear. Neither of us take offense. It seems a reasonable question." Selloenee nodded as if he could read the blonde's mind, "After all, one can never be too sure in this day and age seeing as creatures from Gle'kia are somehow making there way here. I'm a vampire, a creature of the dark. Dralinde is a death knight. How about yourselves?"

"We're both human." Ludwig replied without giving it a second thought.

Kiku began whispering to his friend, "Eto, Ludwig-san, are you sure they are trustworthy? They are giving off odd vibes, and I feel as though they may have secret intentions."

"If we want to avoid trouble, we may as well be friendly." The blonde replied quietly, "Don't worry. I won't say too much."

Kiku nodded, "Very well. I, too, would appreciate a lack of conflict."

"Humans?" Selloenee hummed, "Earthlings... How did you ever get to Conroe? I thought Earth had lost all knowledge of Conroe and Gle'kia."

"I'm afraid we don't know how we got here. We have no idea what's going on. We're just trying to get the capital and talk with whoever governs this land." Ludwig replied. Thinking over his words, he began to believe that he had perhaps revealed too much. He took a small step back, "That being said, we should get back to our group."

Selloenee chuckled, "Such a large group can be quite troublesome. Twelve adventurers who can't agree on anything? You must have your hands full."

"... Wait... How did you know that they are twelve of us?" Ludwig questioned alert.

"And that no one can agree on anything..." Kiku added quietly.

"Your thought betray you just as badly, if not worse, than the words you speak aloud." The vampire replied, "Now I wonder who would you miss the most if a member was taken from you group? Who would you be lost without?"

The was silence. No one said a word, but thoughts can betray one as Selloenee stated. The vamp nodded, "I see. You had better watch out for him. Keep him safe, or he might disappear." he looked at the Death Knight, who had remained silent throughout the whole conversation, "Come, Dralinde, Sadm will want to know what we have learned." The skeletal one nodded and turned around. As he walked away, "Selloenee looked one last time at Kiku, "I believe you and I will see more of each other, my fellow samurai."

Kiku said nothing as the vampire turned and followed after Dralinde.

"Who did you think about?" Ludwig asked his samurai friend.

"Feliciano-kun seeing as he is my best friend as of now." The Asian replied, "And yourself?"

"Feliciano seeing as I love him more than anything in the world."

"Perhaps it would be wise if you told him that." Kiku sighed as they left for the tavern.

"I can't." Ludwig replied.

"Why?"

"... I'm afraid."

"Eto... Ludwig-san is... scared? Please excuse me, but I did not realize that was possible." The samurai chuckled, "Through all the years I've known you, I do not believe you have ever been fearful." he smiled slightly, "Who do you feel afraid."

"I've never felt this way before. It's... Different... And he might not even feel the same." Ludwig sighed. He hated being scared. It made him feel weak, useless... He wondered if Feliciano ever felt like that.

Kiku stopped and stared at the blonde in disbelief, "Ludwig-san, you are scared AND dumb."

The German, who was facing the samurai, was taken aback, "Did you just..."

"Hai." The Asian nodded, "If you think Feliciano does not love you as you love him, you are an idiot. I apologize if you find me rude, but I think now is a good time to speak my mind."

Ludwig chuckled. He was too shocked to be angry. He turned around, "Very well. Let's go now. I don't want anything to happen to Feliciano."

So, someone sent me a request to pair dear Mattie with someone in this story. Nothing else other than it couldn't be an OC. No one was going to be paired up with one of my characters anyway. He/She didn't even give me a reason.

However, if you go to my profile, and scroll to the bottom, it says that I do not accept requests for stories in progress. If you wish to make a request, send me a PM, and I will think about writing a story for the pairing you want. I would also wish to discuss details with you.

Don't have an account? Make one. It's not that hard.

I already have all the pairings thought up. Yes, some of the characters WILL stay single. Not everyone needs a relationship, you know?

I apologize if this hurts anyone's feelings and/or they find it rude.
