Chapter 12: A Dance, and a Leap of Faith

"You don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, TRUST, let go and see what happens." – Mandy Hale

"Godmothers Know Best…"

While Olivia was giggling on the couch at Abby's expression, her Aunt Lois and Rose continue to talk to Abby and Fitz. They state how proud and pleased they are with Fitz's political agenda, the bills he passed including the Dream Act. But most of all they point out how amazed they are of how he's raising Isabelle and Cristina.

The mention of the girls name causes Olivia to stop and lock eyes with Fitz. He smiles widely fully aware that if it wasn't for his two twins Olivia would NOT be in his life right now. They brought them together so to speak. For that fact alone he's a happy man. Olivia "danced" into his life, causing his heart to step in a time with hers. Now that he's "caught" her, he's never letting her go.

His daughters have given him so much joy in his life, especially since losing their mother. Bellamy's memory and love lives on through Cristina and Isabelle. There is SO MUCH of their mother in his twins. At times he can hear his beloved Bellamy's voice, sighs, and laughs through his precious little girls. They have been his light, and reason for waking up every morning since his wife's death.

Cristina and Isabelle are HIS EVERYTHING. They've made him want to live. He opened his eyes every day since Bellamy's passing hoping to be the father and mother his girls needed. He was not only the provider, but he had to remember the things Bellamy wanted for THEIR daughters.

She wanted strong, independent girls, who would turn into intelligent, brave, bold, brilliant women that could do anything they put their minds too. Bellamy wanted Cristina and Isabelle to use their voices for good making change. She knew that Fitz would become The President and the girl's popularity would increase. But with their mother, Fitz remembered to always keep them grounded keeping close who they are.

Fitz loved Bellamy for it and so much more. He lived for her and the twins. Once she passed away a part of him died with her and would always be there. From that moment, he lived for his daughters. He wanted so much for them, ensuring with everything in his power to honor their mother's wishes and memory. He was grateful for so much. But as he glanced over towards Olivia, he realized every step in his life, lead up to the very night he met Olivia.

Olivia blushed at his intense star, feeling her heart beat a tad bit faster in her chest. His loving gaze, made her feel alive for the first time in her life. Her breathing calmed and soon Fitz matched her. Lois and Rose continued to speak to Fitz but each would glance knowing his attention at times would be on "their" Livy. Fitz continued to hold a conversation with them, as he ached for Olivia to be back by his side.

"We must say President Grant you are doing wonderful with your girls," Lois spoke to Fitz bringing his attention back to her.

"Thank you. They are definitely a handful," Fitz quips. "I just hope they behave for Olivia at her dance lessons."

"You haven't been to one yet," Rose inquires.

"No my schedule has not allowed it," Fitz answers honestly. "But I am definitely going to make every effort to be there now," winking at Olivia. "I wouldn't miss it." Olivia rolls her eyes but she believes him. "Plus I'll get to see Olivia more and I would REALLY like that."

Olivia eyes grow wide. Even though her aunts know how Fitz feels about her, she wishes he would do a tad bit better keeping them hidden. "Hush," she mouths.

"Don't you HUSH him child," Lois scolds Olivia. Now Fitz and Abby are both biting their lips to stop them from laughing.

"Aunt Lois, Rose…I meant," she gulps.

"Ah huh," Rose walks over to Olivia. She stands up. "You don't tell the President of the United State to HUSH," winking at Fitz who is now snickering. "Especially when his voice is as smooth as velvet."

Fitz gulps as his ears begin to turn red. Olivia hand is now over her mouth to prevent her from laughing.

"What," Lois interjects walking up to Fitz. "I bet you two could have the hottest phone sex ever."

Lois comments sends both Abby and Olivia into a fit of giggles. Lois winks at Fitz, and cups his cheek. "Face it honey if you got it, make it work for you." This only makes Olivia laugh harder.

"Thank you Ma'am. I think," Fitz groans. He then looks at Olivia who is still laughing at his expense. Lois removes her hand from his cheek and motions for him quiet her down. Fitz grins liking her aunts more and more. Her back is turned. Before she realizes it he is to her, spins her around, and kisses her in front of everyone.

"Fitz," she squeals fighting his kisses but soon relents.

The kiss is light and sweet, melting her in his arms. He continues to place open mouthed kisses on her lips until her arms snake around his neck and her fingers are in his hair. He sighs, and for a moment they are lost in each other. He continues to kiss her tenderly until he pulls away, leaving her in a haze. Her breathing calms but she continues to grasp his shoulders.

As her eyes flutter open, they lock onto Fitz's. In an instant everything fades to the waste side and it's just them. His crooked side displaying the adorable on his cheeks causes her heart to skip a beat. She fights it, but soon the same smile appears on her own face. His smile only widens as he sighs with her in his arms.

She then hears Rose, Lois and Abby snicker. However Rose is the first to point out, "See I told you he wants more than dancing from her," nudging Lois.

"Obviously Rose," Lois sarcastically replies. "And he's a really good kisser."

Olivia and Fitz bury their faces into the other. "I hate you," she whispers to him.

His grip tightens on her waist line drawing her closer. Her chest is now flushed against Fitz. "I hate you too, Livy. But as long as I still have you, I don't care." The adoration, and tenderness in his voice, melt her further in his arms. She wants to move away but she can't.

"Fitz I…," she pleads, feeling her aunts and Abby's eyes glued to them.

"Don't run from him Child," Lois interjects strolling over to them. Olivia head turns to her aunt who is beyond wise. Fitz continues to hold onto her. They are now standing side by side with one arm wrapped around the other.

"Ant Lois," she pleads softly. "This is not…"

"It is too what WE ALL think," Rose then speaks clearly stopping directly in front of them. "Think of everything he's risking for you both. He's taking a leap of faith. You my dear girl," she pauses touching her face, "must meet him part way. Trust your instincts child."

"Aunt Rose," she interjects softly.

"If you leap, I'll ALWAYS be here to catch you Livy," Fitz murmurs looking down at her. He brings her closer, resting his head on top of her own. He breathes deeply as the sweet smell from her hair enters his lungs.

"Fitz," she whispers.

Rose now holds both their hands. "Don't dance away from this," Rose softly states with her as she glances up locking eyes with Fitz. "From him. You take care of OUR Special Girl you hear me Mr. President."

Fitz gulps knowing if he messes THIS up with Olivia he'll wish he had more than the Secret Service to protect him. "You have my word." He releases Olivia taking both Lois and Rose's hands in his own. Fitz then squeezes both their hands. The warmth of his touch spreads through both of Olivia's aunts. "I swear it."

Lois and Rose finds themselves lost in his eyes. Olivia eyes widen at the sight of her two aunts under Fitz's spell. Fitz then lifts their hands and kisses them both on the backs of their hands. When he releases their hands both fans themselves. "My Lord aren't you a charmer," Rose quips.

Fitz blushes. "Only on occasion Ma'am."

"I sincerely doubt that," Lois interjects. "Something tells me you could charm a woman out of her better judgement."

"Only if Livy allows me that honor," Fitz spins to Olivia. His eyes meet hers. She sighs and excuses herself to freshen up before they leave. Fitz insists that she does not rush. "I'll wait for her as long as it takes," he coos as she begins to walk to her room.

Best Friend Payback…

She stops in the hallway hearing his comment. She twists around getting lost in his eyes. He exhales watching her stand there until she hurries into her room. Lois and Rose offer Fitz and Abby hot tea while they wait for Olivia to return. They leave Abby and Fitz to relax as they head off into the kitchen. As they walk away Lois suggests, "You two best call Vice President Nichols to ensure he makes dinner tonight."

Abby face drops as Olivia giggles in her bedroom. "Not funny Liv," Abby bellows.

"Whatever," Olivia yells from her room.

Fitz chuckles as he sits waiting for Olivia to emerge. Abby sits across from Fitz and they stare at each other until Lois reminds them again to call Andrew inviting him over for dinner.

"Abby I suggest you listen to Olivia's aunts," Fitz playfully egging her on. "I know you have his phone number. In fact I gave it to you."

"I am not calling the Vice President of the United States inviting him OUT for dinner," she snaps. "He drives me crazy," she huffs then folds her arms in annoyance.

"Maybe so but I think you like him," Fitz inquires leaning back in her chair with an impish grin on his face. He of course is well aware of Andrew's feelings for Abby. Andrew has had some pretty intense feelings since Fitz chose him to be his running mate. He was struck but her wit, charm, take no prisoners attitude, and of course her beauty.

"Mr. President," Abby growls.

Andrew has wanted to ask her out forever, but at the time until recently she had been dating someone. He heard through the grapevine that they had broken up. Fitz assumed that Olivia knew about it, and he hoped that maybe Abby and Andrew would finally get their chance. He sensed too that Abby "liked" Andrew but never acted on it.

"He's the Vice President and your best friend. I HAVE to like him," she sneers harshly.

Fitz rolls his eyes at her comment. "You're full of it Abigail," sarcastically responding. Now that they were both free, maybe they could finally get together. "Take a leap of faith," he glances back winking at Rose, "and call him Abby," he jests. "You know you want too."

"I am NOT calling Andrew Nichols," Abby scoffs. "You call him. He's YOUR best friend and Vice President. Don't you two have some secret BRO-Mance going on?"

"Bro-mance," Fitz laughs not hearing that phrase from her before. Fitz sits back relaxing his body into the plush chair. He stretches his arms out over the back of the chair. He eyes Abby. "I don't have to do anything Abby. You work for me remember. Call Andrew…," he suggests good-humoredly.

"We are NOT at the White House Mr. President. So technically you cannot make me," she contradicts. "I am not AT WORK right now."

Before Fitz can answer. "CALL him ABIGAIL," Olivia bellows from her bedroom. Fitz chuckles. "YOU'RE CHICKEN SHIT CUZ you know he likes you. A LOT."

Abby crosses her arms in annoyance refusing to make the call. Fitz raises his eyes at her outright defiance. As he reaches for his phone Olivia emerges from her bedroom. He glances up and he feels all the air leave his body. She's wearing a blue dress, with tan high heels. The dress hangs just off her shoulders, exposing the soft skin.

He gulps as his eyes take in her perfect body. The dress fans out from her waist only making her look more beautiful. As his own eyes get lost in hers, he notices the pale blue eye liner, light pink cheeks to match her plump pink lips. Olivia blushes under the heat of his eyes, becoming all twitchy before him. This shy side of hers only makes him want her more.

"Wow," he exhales standing up to greet her lovingly. The words in his mind aching to come out but as he speaks nothing happens. She's rendered him speechless once again. He is one of the best politicians in the game, using words to gain an advantage. He is well aware how to win the favor of others, including a gorgeous woman. But they all fail in comparison to Olivia.

"Stop," she mouths feeling more self-conscious than ever before.

"I can't stop," he admonishes with an exaggerated eye roll. "Can you?"

She breathes deeply staring into his blue eyes. "Behave Mr. President," she teases. The dancer has returned and she waltz's up to him. The dress moves perfectly with her body, displaying her hips in a manner to which he refrains himself from touching.

"Then you should have worn a different dress," he answers raising his eyes. As she approaches him, he can see just the tops of her cleavage.

Olivia smirks. "Eyes Up Mister," pointing her finger. Fitz laughs. "Why it matches your eyes," she answers without a second thought.

Fitz smile grows as he is now standing over her. "I'll remember to wear blue more often then. It's my favorite color." Olivia smiles. He reaches to touch her but she stops him. "Can you call the Vice President," Olivia suggests as Abby gasps.

Fitz reaches for his phone but Abby steps in front of him. "Sir. I am sure the Vice President has better things to do on a Sunday evening. Didn't he have an event he was going to tonight?"

"Not that I am aware of," Fitz answers with an impish grin. "We used to have dinner quite often on Sunday nights. I am sure he'd be more than willingly to come along."

"Mr. President," Abby interjects not wanting to even entertain this idea of her and Andrew becoming a couple. Yes Andrew Nichols was a good looking man. He could have anyone. Why in the world would he be interested in her? She of course noticed his casual glances, how he seemed to straighten his suit and tie when she was around, but she thought he was "just" being nice.

But the other night at the competition and in the limo she noticed the little things he did when he was next to her. He would scoot closer, lean over to talk, and a few times she swore she heard him sigh if she accidently brushed against him. They really talked that night, really listening to the other, and especially how they teamed up to push Fitz to go after Olivia, kissing her in front of everyone.

She had never had so much fun that night, and slowly began to see him differently. Yes she had known how people perceived him. Abby feared because he was never married, it would hinder the campaign, not allowing Fitz to win the election. But thankfully she was proven wrong.

Andrew stating publically that he was never married because he was waiting for the right woman to come along, only stirred voters to the Grant – Nichols ticket. The American People fell in love with the notion of him waiting for the right woman and of Fitz choosing him because of that reason.

Abby watched in horror as Rose and Lois emerged from the kitchen with hot tea in their hands. Just as it started to ring, Olivia asked for the phone, shocking Fitz. "Please don't answer," Abby silently prayed to herself.

"Maybe his phone is not charged Sir," Abby suggests as Olivia walks around the room with Fitz's phone. "Hang up Liv," she whines.

"Nope," Olivia grins wickedly.

"Fine I'll just…," Abby huffs in annoyance walking up to Olivia ready to take her boss's phone away.

Just as she reaches her, Olivia speaks, "No Mr. Vice President it is NOT The President. It's Olivia Pope."

"SHIT," Abby squeaks.

"Yes the President is aware that I have his phone. He is in fact standing in front of me with Abby," Olivia quips in a raised tone looking directly at her best friend. Olivia grins even more hearing the Vice President shift uncomfortably on the other end of the line.

"Liv don't you dare," she groans.

"Hush child," Rose comes to her. "Let Livy work her magic."

Fitz stifles back a laugh, but his smile grows immensely watching Olivia speak to his right hand man.

"Yes Sir Abby is here with me. In fact Abby...," Olivia barely has the chance to ask before Abby snatches the phone out of her hand.

"Was wondering if you had dinner planes tonight Sir," Abby blurts out before she can stop herself.

The entire room chants "Yes," with fist pumps in the air.

Andrew feels as if he's dreaming. "Excuse me what," he has to ask her again.

Abby releases a huge sigh. "I know you heard me Mr. Vice President," she grumbles, now walking away from everyone into Olivia's Dining Room. Everyone of course can still hear what she is saying, but at least she has some space to talk to him without being crowded.

"Humor me Abby," Andrew teases. "Because did you just ask me OUT for dinner."

"I did not ask you OUT for dinner Sir. I inquired about you dinner plans. Olivia's two aunts have invited The President, Cristina, Isabelle, Olivia and myself over for Sunday dinner tonight. I was instructed to invite and bring you or else my goose is cooked," Abby grumbles into the line.

"Is that so," Andrew challenges. "I kind of like that thought considering all the grief you've given me since meeting The President."

"Turn-about is fair play Mr. Vice President," Abby dips her voice to a different register unintentionally. Andrew chuckles on the line.

"So…," Andrew prods.

"So…," Abby mimics. She hears Andrew giggling on the line. He will not make this easy for her. She speaks to herself "take a leap of faith. Take a leap of faith."

"Come on Abby. Land Air Force One," Fitz sarcastically states just loud enough for Olivia to hear him. She rolls her eyes at her comment but then she motions for her to just ask him.

Finally Abby exhales knowing she's toast. "Fine. Would like to join me for dinner tonight," she poses to Andrew in a meek tone. He was doing his best not to sound too exited but in fact he was.

"Abigail," Andrew murmurs her name softly attempting to calm her nerves.

"It's NOT just me," she corrects herself ensuring he understands this is NOT a date. "Olivia's Mom's godmother's are cooking. Plus The President, Olivia and the twins will be there also. If you say yes, I am sure The President will clear things with the Secret Service. I am sure you can even ride with us all back here… I mean if you want too…you don't have too…," now she was rambling.

"Abigail," he interjects again but by the sound of his higher voice through the line, Abby is well aware of the grin on his face.

"Stop smiling Mr. Vice President. I can feel it through the line." Now he laughs. "Urgh," she groans in embarrassment.

Olivia, Fitz, Rose and Lois are sipping tea in the other room as they listen to her speak to Andrew. "You know my Vice President is probably thinking he's dreaming right now. He's had feelings for her forever," Fitz whispers to Olivia.

"Why hasn't he done anything about it," she murmurs as she sips her tea.

"Too afraid. I told him he was an idiot," Fitz quips. "That he should go after her before it's too late." Then Fitz pauses placing his tea on the coffee table. He takes her hands in his own, bringing them to his lips. "Funny thing is both Abby and Andrew made me realize what an idiot I would be myself if I didn't go after you."

"They made you come after me the other night," she asks in shock. "So it's their fault you got out of that car and kissed me."

His smiles grows wide as he moves closer, lifting her face to meet his. "They did. It was the best moment of my life since I lost Bell's. Once I kissed you that first time, I knew I'd never be able to give you up Livy."

"So I need to step on both their toes then," Olivia jests. "It's their fault I'm stuck with you now."

Fitz reaches his arm around her drawing her close to his body. Their hips are now touching. She gasps out loud at how quickly he moved them closer. He leans over to whisper into her ear. "So when can we work on getting stuck together? I'm eager to learn that dance." His HOT breath travels into her ear canal, through her body, sending tingles down her torso to places that have not felt the love of a man in too long.

She shifts in the seat to ease the ache growing within her. "You're a BAD boy."

His mouth kisses her ear, causing her breath to hitch. He dips his voice even lower. "I'm not BAD Livy. In fact I heard I'm rather naughty, but in a freaking fantastic way."

"Oh Lord," she blushes. "Stop," pushing herself away from him before she does something she'll regret. He winks and continues to drink his tea.

Rose and Lois grin like teenagers at one another, and then look behind them to see Abby still speaking more calmly to Andrew. They "elbow bump" each other, and make chit chat with Olivia and Fitz. They are about finished their tea when Abby joins them.

"Well…," Fitz raises his eye brows asking Abby.

"Yes he's coming. He said he wouldn't miss it," Abby responds glaring at Olivia. "I hate ALL of you right now."

"No you don't child," Rose quips. "You'll thank us for it later. I have seen how the VP looks at you on TV. He's got something I am sure you can work with."

Olivia and Fitz both bite their lips to prevent themselves from laughing. Abby places her untouched tea cup down on the table. "Mr. President it's time we head out," she glances at the time. "I am sure the girls are eager for you to return with Liv."

Fitz nods. He stands up and gives both Lois and Rose a warm hug before he steps to the door to wait for Olivia. Her aunts place their hands over their hearts as the warmth from his arms spread through them. Abby is next for a hug and finally Olivia.

"Teach that man of yours a few things today dear," Lois suggests.

"He is NOT my man Aunt Lois," Olivia corrects her.

Rose then gives Olivia a huge squeeze. "Oh yes he is," winking at Fitz. "Have a good time and no making out in the Oval Office when you're finished. I hear there's cameras in there."

Fitz ears turn bright red just thinking of the idea. How he would love to "take her" on his desk. Rose sees him blushing and wiggles her eyebrows. Fitz covers his mouth and quickly hides his face.

"Aunt Rose," Olivia chastises.

"What Pumpkin. I may be old but I am not dead," she retorts. With that remark Olivia ushers them all out the door. Soon they are in Fitz's unmarked SUV on the way to the White House for his first lesson with Olivia.

/

The Blue Room

As Olivia was ushered into the Private Entrance of the White House, Abby instantly assures her that no one would know of her being here. Fitz stood back and spoke to the Secret Service allowing Abby to calm her down. "No one can know I was here Abby," she pleads.

"No one will Liv," Abby took her hands and squeezing them tightly. "I swear it." Then Abby turns and glances back at Fitz, who only nods. "It's handled already Liv. He turned the cameras off until we leave this section of the White House. Once you are where you'll be teaching him to dance, they'll be turned back on. All right?"

Olivia gives her friend a weak smile but refuses to walk any further. It is not until Fitz is beside her with his large hand on her back do her fears subside. "I'm still here catching you Livy," he leans down to whisper these words into the top of her head.

Finally she exhales and meets his loving gaze. "I never wanted to come here because of my father. I just…no one can know."

"No one will know Liv. You have my word," Fitz assures her bringing her into his side. "I've got it and you. You LEAP I catch you." He places a soft kiss on her brow allowing his lips to linger there for a few moments. Finally she breathes deeply and leans into Fitz's chest for the comfort she needs. He runs his hand up and down the skin on her arm, as she nestles against him as they walk down the hallway.

She nestles her face into Fitz's chest as he escorts her into the White House. Her body snuggled against Fitz's gives him a feeling like no other. They fit perfectly together, as if the final two pieces of a long lost puzzle have been found. He grins as he walks her into the room where they will be dancing. It grows wider seeing her stop as she enters the room.

"Oh my Gosh," Olivia exclaims. Fitz releases her. Slowly her heels click on the pristine wooden floor underneath her feet. Each click and clack echoes off the walls of the Blue Room, allowing its acoustics to be heard. The oval room with high ceilings, beautiful blue embroidered curtains adorning the windows, Presidential photos, intricate off white wall paper with gold lettering takes her breath away.

"You like it," Fitz asks in awe as she takes in all in.

"I do. I'm teaching you in the Blue Room," she asks.

"Yes. I hope this suits your needs," he blushes. She glances down at the floor and then meets his eyes. "I heard you prefer to dance on wood floors. It helps you focus and stay in the zone," he explains as the heat rushes to his ears. He had the carpet taken up for their lessons, hearing from Abby she prefers to dance on hard wood. Until his lessons are over, the carpet will be kept in special place until his lessons are done.

Her eyes raise. "Abby?"

"Yah," he looks behind Olivia and notices Abby's wide smile. She nods and heads up to the Residence to gather Nina and Bells. He heard from their agents they are eager to see Olivia now that she is here.

Olivia hears Abby leave but cannot look away from Fitz. Her bottom lip begins to quiver as the tears she's been holding in begin to pool in the corners of her eyes. She's fighting it – the feeling of falling again, even though Fitz has assured her time and again that he'll always be there to catch her.

His smiles softens and places his hands in his pockets to refrain from touching her. "Liv if this is not okay just tell me and I can…," but he's stop speaking when she hurries to him leaping into his arms. The force startles Fitz, almost sending him on his back on the floor. He lifts her into his arms, as she hugs him tightly burying her nose in his neck.

Soon his neck is wet from her tears and he hears her sniffles. "Livy," he murmurs. "I…," now he's at a loss for words unsure as to why she is upset. "I just wanted our first lesson to be perfect." His words wash over her like a wave and she holds him tighter. He begins to sway her from side to side as he whispers, "I've got you."

She is never this emotional but the fact he even thought of HER needs and wants before he even knew she would teach him, is everything. He rubs her back so softly and delicately, as if she's could break apart any moment. When she relaxes, he places her feet on the floor. She lifts her head to gaze into his sparkling blue orbs she is growing to love more and more. His smile softens to a point where his dimples appear on the side of his cheeks.

"Liv," he mutters.

"It's…no this," she stutters glancing around the Blue Room, "is perfect." Fitz smirks. "You are perfect," she exhales as her hands cup both his cheeks.

"Don't tell my Chief of Staff that," he quips.

"I leaped," she states in a breathy tone.

"You did," he chuckles.

She sighs. "You caught me," she reaffirms as his hands cup her face.

"I told you I ALWAYS would Livy," he purrs as his lips just grace against her cheek. "A promise is a promise. As long as you continue to be in THIS with me, I'll NEVER let you go." She understands the hidden meaning of his words. Fitz aches for her to be his future long after these lesson are done. If it is time she needs, he'll make sure she has it.

"Are you real," she chuckles not really believing until now that men like Fitz exist.

"I'm very real Livy. But if you are not sure, I'll permit you to pinch my butt," he remarks with a gleam in his sparkling blue eyes.

"Oh for heavens sakes," pushing him away. Fitz laughs. "I am not pinching your butt Mr. President. That would be inappropriate."

He saunters to her with a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. Soon he is towering over her. "Well can I hold onto yours while we dance? It is perfect," he jests.

She gasps. "No you cannot," she bellows moving away. "I am teaching you to dance, not DIRTY dance."

"So how long before I can have THOSE lessons," he begins to follow her around the room as she walks backwards. He is full aware the air in the room has changed and is ready to play this game of cat and mouse with her. But if he catches her, she best be prepared for him to pounce.

"Not till after the State Dinner. I have to make sure your dancing doesn't create a National Incident," challenging him come after her.

Fitz's grin increases. "Then I have a perfect proposition for you Miss Pope," he proposes with a deep voice and impish smirk. He wiggles his eye brows making Olivia laugh. His voice resonates through her body, triggering a wave of arousal to shoot through her nerves. He sees her shake. His smile grows wider.

"That sounds dirty Mr. President," she jokes with a taunt voice. "You are not UP for that kind of challenge." He laughs but continues to meander to where she is headed until she is pressed up against the blue curtains. Her eyes raise noticing if she moves to the right or left she may get away. Fitz notices and anticipates her movements.

Before she can move, he blocks her. "Hey!"

"Oh but I think I am," he groans pushing his pelvis into her. Fitz is now flush against her body with is knees bent. Her breath hitches as Fitz's cologne enters her lungs. He lifts her chin to gaze into her perfect brown eyes. They shimmer under the lights in the room. He bits is lip as he continues to get lost in her eyes.

"Fitz," she whimpers. She struggles to keep her composure but her body is responding to him in a way she is not prepared for. Soon his hands are on her face and he's looking into her eyes as if he's afraid she'll run. "What?"

He swallows quickly. "Go to the State Dinner with me?"

She raises her eyes. "I'll be there making sure you don't mess up your first dance and not hurt you date's toes. Abby asked me to come." He shakes his head vigorously. "You don't want me there," she whimpers.

"No," he stops her quickly before she can continue her train of thought. "Of course I do Livy. But that is NOT what I am asking." She raises her eyes. Her mouth gapes open as he utters, "Would you be my date to the State Dinner for the President of France?"

"Date?" She squeaks.

"Yes," he smiles. "I don't want to hide the woman who not only taught me to dance but who gave me wings to fly and live again."

"Fitz," she babbles with her voice shaking. His words wash over her like a warm shower, into her heart. It flutters in her chest. "I…," she pauses at a lost for words.

"Please don't say no," he pleads pressing his forehead to hers. "I know you'll be there but I don't want to share that night with anyone but you."

"I…," she whispers.

"Come with me Livy. Be WITH ME that night," Fitz croons as his lips just ghost inches from hers. Her entire body is coming apart in his arms.

"Fitz…," she utters but before she can respond she hears…

"LIVY'S HERE! LIVY IS HERE," out of Belli and Nina barreling into room breaking up her and Fitz. "You're here! You're going to teach Daddy to get his groove on AND be his date for the State Dinner right?"

"Um…,"

TBC…#DropsDancingShoes and Runs… For now…

Yes that is it for this update. I had not planned on Fitz asking Olivia this soon to be his date for the State Dinner but it felt right if that makes sense. This seems like the right time, and so I went with it. You'll know her answer in the next chapter.

So leave me your judges score card and let me know what you think…

Have a good weekend… Me's
