Sakurako woke up to a pounding headache and an aching everything. She had the vaguest recollection of what had happened, but it was all blurs and she couldn't think about it too much without making her brain hurt.

As she moved, or rather, tried to, she noticed two very important things.

One, moving hurt like hell, and two, there was something warm resting up against her side.

She looked down and noticed Himawari's head resting on the bed, up against her side. Her girlfriend was asleep, her hair was messier than usual, and Sakurako silently wondered just how long she'd been sitting here.

It was then that Sakurako began wondering how long she herself had been asleep.

As if somehow aware of her girlfriend's recent rousal, Himawari herself roused, and as she raised her head, she noticed Sakurako's eyes were open and focused on her.

Tears pooled around her eyes and she grabbed Sakurako's good arm, "S-Sakurako! You're finally awake!"

Sakurako frowned, "How long have I been sleeping?"

Himawari wiped the tears from her eyes, "You've been asleep for a week, dummy! I… I was worried you wouldn't wake up again!"

As tears streamed down her face, Sakurako suddenly remembered what happened.

"Ah, that's right, we were walking in the street, and a car came speeding down towards us, so I pushed you out of the way and I got hit instead…" she stated.

Himawari nodded, "I'm happy you'd do something like that for me, but…"

Sakurako tilted her head, "'but'?"

"Why didn't you just pull us both out of the way, if you noticed something like that?" Himawari pointed out.

Sakurako looked at Himawari with a blank expression, then noted, as if she just had an epiphany, "Ah! You're right! I could've done that!"

Himawari, with teary eyes and a smile on her face, kissed Sakurako on the cheek, "You dummy!"

Sakurako looked out the window, "So, what's been happening while I've been asleep?"

Himawari noted, "Ah! Well, the second-years are out on that trip to Kyoto today."

Suddenly, Sakurako's eyes widened, "Wait, their trip? Didn't that already happen?"

Himawari looked at her girlfriend with a puzzled expression, "Huh?"

"Yeah, Sakurako noted, "They went and came back, and Ayano had a wooden sword for some reason."

Himawari frowned, "I do remember seeing one in the corner of the Student Council Room, but… how…?"

Sakurako furrowed her brow, thinking about this make her head hurt, "And then they went again, and they came back when we were fighting… that was after Ayano became the Student Council President."

Himawari nodded, "Yeah, because Rise left… but…"

Sakurako raised her good arm to grasp her head, "She didn't leave the school… she was a third year when we started going to Nanamori…"

Himawari nodded, "Yeah, but that wasn't this year, that was… last… year…"

Sakurako continued, "But… we're still first years… actually, it's like no time's passed at all!"

Before the two could continue, something large and heavy fell from the sky and landed outside their window. Upon further observation, the thing looked like a large, black, mechanical beast, appearing similar to an armadillo, standing on two robotic legs, but hunched over with large, arms, a cannon placed on each one, and glowing red eyes.

The pair's eyes widened as the beast turned it's large, metallic head to look directly at them.

"What the hell?" Sakurako yelled, holding Himawari's hand for dear life.

"HUMANS!" The beast spoke, though it's mouth didn't move, implying either the sound was coming from speakers somewhere on the vehicle, or perhaps from a pilot of some sort, "WE HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE YOU ARE AWARE OF THE TIME LOOP YOU ARE TRAPPED IN! PREPARE TO BE VAPORIZED!"

As the four second-years ventured throughout Kyoto, they too noticed something was way off. They had most certainly been here before. They had devoted most of the second half of the day tracing steps they had already taken, trying to remember why everything seemed so familiar.

Kyouko ran over to the buddha they rubbed before, "We were here too, remember!? Ayano wanted bigger breasts, so she rubbed his chest!"

Ayano blushed, "T-t-that's not what I wanted! Baka!"

Kyouko pouted, "Aw, that's what I wanted…"

Ayano blushed and glared angrily at her girlfriend, "T-Toshino Kyouko!"

Kyouko smiled, "I was kidding! You're breasts are fine the way they are!"

Yui cast a concerned look towards Chitose, and as predicted, the girl was holding her nose to prevent the imminent torrent.

Yui frowned, "You two, get a room! You'll kill Chitose with talk like that!"

Kyouko smiled, "We could just go to Tainai-Meguri! I distinctly remember getting to touch something very pleas-mmmppphhhh!"

Ayano slapped her hand over Kyouko's mouth, "B-baka!"

Yui frowned, changing the subject before Chitose's life was in real danger "Alright, so, we've definitely all been here before, but how?"

Ayano furrowed her brow, "This is the first year we've all known each other to do something like this together, right?"

Chitose scratched her head, "But it definitely feels like it's been longer than a year since we met, and we've had three winters go by, if memory serves."

Kyouko nodded, "Yeah! I've been to winter Comiket three times since I met you two."

Yui arched her eyebrow, "So, what the hell's going on?"

Kyouko placed her hand under her chin, "Hhhmmmm…. Maybe we're all trapped in some sort of time loop… and we just haven't noticed until now!"

Yui glared at Kyouko, "Don't be an idiot! That's absurd!"

Suddenly, however, a dark shadow appeared in the sky in front of the sun and began falling towards them. It made a hard landing in the middle of the street, and the nearby people began to panic.

Once the giant black object started moving, the four were able to make it out more distinctly. It was a giant robotic beast, looking sort of like a werewolf, standing on it's hind legs but hunched over, baring large black fangs and even larger claws. It's eyes glowed a sinister red.

It spoke, it's voice booming out and startling the four girls, "HUMANS! IT APPEARS YOU HAVE DISCOVERED THE TIME LOOP YOU ARE TRAPPED IN! YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO POSSESS SUCH KNOWLEDGE! PREPARE TO BE SHREDDED!"

If Chinatsu knew why Akari was dragging her to the Amusement Club Room, even though school was over for the day, she would've kept her mouth shut. After all, Akari had seemed unsettled about something, and Chinatsu knew better than to make her girlfriend upset.

Still, she was curious by their impromptu adventure.

"Akari, what is this about?"

Akari whirled around, "I'm positive something's not right! My sister was acting all weird when she left home earlier, and then I started thinking about the school trip the second-years are on… The thing is, I distinctly remember it happening twice! Kyouko brought us back a wooden sword each time, and they're both in the club room!"

Chinatsu, for the life of her, couldn't remember what Akari was talking about, "Wait, that's impossible! They couldn't have gone three times!"

Akari nodded, "That's what I'm saying! Something's going on!"

Akari charged into the Club Room and pointed to the sword rack in the corner, and sure enough, there were two wooden swords placed in both the top and bottom holders.

Chinatsu, upon seeing the swords, arched her eyebrow, "Bu-but, how?"

Akari shook her head, "I don't know, but there's definitely something fishy going on here, and I think it has something to do with my sister!"

Chinatsu frowned, "Geez, you keep mentioning your sister, what did she do?"

Akari shook her head, "It's not important!"

Chinatsu crossed her arms, "I'm your girlfriend! Whatever happened, you can tell me!"

Akari sighed, "S-she… she confessed to me!"

Chinatsu raised an eyebrow, "W-what do you mean?"

Akari frowned, "I mean, she literally confessed to me! She told me she loved me more than a sister, and then she kissed me! I pushed her off and told her about you, but… The fact that she confessed right before she left… I wonder what she was doing that she felt like acting so rash? She sounded like… like she might not come back."

Chinatsu gasped, "A-actually, my sister did something similar! Right before she left, she hugged me and told me to be strong and brave, no matter what happens… it was as if she was saying goodbye, in a way…"

Suddenly, something large and heavy crashed into the ground outside, and the two ran out, only to be confronted by a large, black robot. It was long and looked a bit like a praying mantis, with four long, segmented legs planted on the ground and two arms raised, large scythes glimmering in the sunlight. It's compound eyes glowed a bright red, and it looked down, directly at them.

"HUMANS! IT APPEARS YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF MEMBERS OF THE RESISTANCE! PREPARE TO BE TAKEN HOSTAGE!"

As the giant robotic bug reached it's arms down to grab them, two quick blurs rushed in and cut the scythe arms off.

"WHAT THE HELL?" the bugbot yelled out.

The two blurs stopped between the giant mantis and the two girls on the ground. They were large robots, each roughly the size of a small house, yet they were still each only half the size of the giant bugbot. Still, they seemed much faster. Each looked roughly humanoid, but both were off. One had red armor plating and had larger arms than legs and a large head, while the other was pink and had much larger legs than arms, with a large helmet on a disproportionately small head.

From inside the red robot, a very distinct voice rang out, "If you think I'll let you touch my sister, you're dead wrong!"

Akari's eyes widened, "That voice, Nee-chan?"

The other robot looked over at the red one, "Settle down, Akane, my sister's down there too, but anger won't help us now!"

Chinatsu's eyes widened, "O-ONEE-CHAN?"

Sakurako and Himawari clutched each other's hands and closed their eyes as the Armadillo-bot raised it's black arm and pointed an already charging cannon at it.

Suddenly, however, a shadow passed in front of the window, and the couple heard a large explosion. They slowly opened their eyes, only to see that the Armadillo-bot's cannon was completely missing. A smaller, yet still considerably large robot hovered near the window. It was all white, had disproportionately large arms and a head, and it had a red cross painted on it's back.

"My my! You think I'm going to let two students from Nanamori Middle School get hurt? I can't allow that! I'm the school nurse after all!"

Himawari and Sakurako's eyes widened, and both had the same reaction, "E-EEEHHHHHHH?"

Ayano and Kyouko stood there, hand in hand, watching the towering black monster swing it's arm in preparation to "shred" them.

Kyouko closed her eyes, "Ayano… I love you."

Ayano nodded, "I love you too!"

As the two kissed, Chitose let loose the nosebleed she had been holding back for a while. With the white-haired girl down and out, Yui frowned.

"How lucky, she'll get to experience a painless death after all…" Yui replied as she silently mulled over all the games that were going to come out this year that she wouldn't get a chance to play, "In the end, my greatest regret is that I don't have more to regret."

Suddenly, however, three mechs came from out of nowhere and cut off both of the werewolf-bot's arms.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" it yelled, confused.

The three robots landed in front of the four girls. Two of them had disproportionately large arms and heads, and one had larger legs instead. One of the large-arm bots was grey, and in it's hand was a giant katana, crackling with electricity. The other arm-bot was a light blue, and the leg-bot was a dark green.

Yui let out a sigh of relief and looked back over at Kyouko and Ayano. The two were still making out.

"You guys, we're not about to die anymore!" Yui yelled.

Kyouko opened one of her eyes to look at Yui, closed it again, and continued.

Yui fumed, "Hey, don't just ignore the situation!"

From behind them, Nana came running up with Rise close behind, and both were, oddly enough, armed with appeared to be rocket launchers.

Yui's eyes widened, "Nishigaka-sensei! You were chaperoning this field trip? And I thought Rise was a third-year?"

Nana shook her head, "I'm not here because of the field-trip, I was told to come here by some old college friends. They told me to be prepared for the worst, so I brought these."

Rise nodded and pointed to Nana, saying something that Yui couldn't here.

Nana nodded, "Rise recently signed up for the the teacher's aid program, so she's helping me out."

Yui deadpanned, "Isn't the teacher's aid supposed to help out with school-related things…"

Above them, the grey arm-bot with the sword spoke up, "Stand down, Lobos! You know you can't win!"

Nana's eyes widened, "That voice... Woah! So, Tetsuya's in the grey one?"

Yui turned her head in confusion, "Who's Tetsuya?"

The werewolf-bot bent lower to the ground and it's two arms started gravitating back towards it. Eventually, they lifted off the ground and snapped back into place, and after the black beast gave it's arms two rotations to test them out, it looked directly at the grey arm-bot again.

"TETSUYA! WE MEET AGAIN! THE RESISTANCE IS NO MATCH FOR OUR NEW BLACKSABRE MECHS! WE WILL CRUSH ALL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TIME LOOP THAT IMPRISONS YOU FOOLISH BEINGS CALLED HUMANS!"

The grey arm-bot swung it's katana menacingly, "Oh yeah, Bring it, wolf-breath!"

As the three smaller mechs charged into battle with the large "Blacksabre", Yui felt completely overwhelmed.

Kyouko and Ayano, who had stopped kissing shortly after Nana and Rise's arrival, shared similar sentiments.

And while they were all in different places, all of our beloved middle-school students called out the same phrase.

"I don't understand what's going on anymore!"

TO BE CONTINUED! STAY TUNED FOR POWERS OF LOVE (Available in My Stories)

AN: PLOT. EFFIN. TWIST. The best part is, I've had this planned since the very beginning! Mwahahahahaha! There you have it! The epic Finale for what was at one point a collection of cutesy oneshot-esque stories!

Anyway, I've had this idea since I saw Season 2 Episode 10, where they go on the trip again and at the end they notice there's already a sword from last time. (Okay, not this exact idea, but I thought that maybe they were hinting at something like this with that, where there's a surprise twist at the end when they all find out there's a time loop.)

If you hadn't already noticed, this story is going to be taking a very different turn in the future. Don't worry, I will still ship the characters profusely (in fact, pairings are going to play a very major role in the next story), but things are going to get much more... exciting, to say the least.

Hope ya like Mechs, da ze!

Special shout-out to Major Mike Powell III, who's faithfully read and reviewed all of my chapters thus far! I greatly appreciate your feedback and hope you'll enjoy the sequel, even with the major shift I'm making.
