"We're doing what?" Ren asked, looking at his new girlfriend in disbelief.

"We're getting Pyrrha and Jaune together!" She declared happily, squealing with delight. Ren just nodded, not sure how he had managed to join this plan.

"'We'?" He asked, looking down at her. She nodded quickly and excitedly.

"We!" Ruby giggled before hugging him. He had no choice but to smile and hug her in return. He hoped the hugs would become less awkward (he honestly had no idea how she felt so comfortable with hugging him so much one day after they got together).

They had moved out of the cafeteria a few minutes prior. Ruby had practically been exploding with excitement, and it had worried Ren. He understood now that she had probably signed him up for this when she was talking to Pyrrha. However, he didn't understand how that conversation had even come to transpire.

"What made Pyrrha ask you this?" He asked once her arms unravelled from around his neck. She looked up at him, her adorable silver eyes pleading him to just agree to the job like she wanted.

"She uh... Well Blake saw us together and overheard us talking about... Us, and uh, she said she'd keep our secret safe until we were ready to reveal it. I felt like I needed to return the favour so I decided we'd help her get together with Jaune!" Ruby shook her fists in front of her face out of excitement. "Wouldn't they be so adorable together?"

Ren gave a light chuckle, nodding and looking out at the campus grounds. "They certainly would." He lied, not even sure quite how to determine how two people together in a relationship would be adorable. It must have just been a girl thing.

"So, captain, what's the plan?" Ren asked, looking out among the people on the campus grounds. Ruby looked down at her swinging feet, hmming.

"That... May take some time to figure out." She mused. Ren leaned his head back, his eyes shut. He didn't know Jaune well, but he knew it wouldn't be easy to do this.

"Heeeee-llooo!" Ren looked up from his spot on the bench to see Yang and Nora approaching them. He quickly panicked, before realizing Ruby wasn't making physical contact with him at all.

"Hey!" Ruby greeted enthusiastically, as Yang sat down between the two of them on the bench, throwing her arms over the shoulders of both Ren and her sister.

Ren felt a tad bit uncomfortable with it, not sure how to handle the situation. Very opposite to him, Ruby felt even more comfortable. Yang had that sisterly effect.

The blonde looked between the two of them with an open-mouthed smile on her face, Nora with her hands over her mouth, eyes closed and giggling profusely. Ren was suspicious about this was. In his mind it was probably part of the Truth or Dare game Nora loved playing.

About thirty seconds of this repeated action, she leaned down to whisper in Ruby's ear.

"Whatcha talkin' about?" She asked, causing Ruby to think. What harm could there be in telling the truth?

"Pyrrha asked us to set her and Jaune up, so we're planning that." She explained looking up at her sister. Yang oohed.

"They'd be cute!" She mused loudly. Ren narrowed his eyes, asking himself how do you tell?

Yang looked up at Nora, winking, before looking back down at Ruby. Ruby looked quickly between the two other girl, before her eyes settled on Yang.

"You know who else would be cute together?" The blonde asked, causing Ruby to raise her to raise an eyebrow in curious concern. "You," she nodded her head sideways to Ren, "and him."

Yang thought Ren couldn't hear but he heard her pretty clearly. It took a bit to stifle a chuckle. To Yang's surprise, Ruby didn't blush and tell her sister to be quiet for once. She just rolled her eyes.

Yang took notice of this. She knew something was up. Even Nora knew something was different between the two of them. Yang stood up, looking into Ruby's eye, narrowing her own.

"What happened?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest and smirking. Almost in perfect sync, Nora did the same, intimidating Ruby a bit. Ren looked up at the two girls, confused.

"Yeah, what happened?" Nora asked, before leaning forward so her face was inches from Ruby's. Quickly she grabbed Ruby's collar an shook her. "What're you hiding?!"

Ruby shouted worriedly, freezing up before Yang grabbed Nora and tossed her off her little sister, a joking stern face on.

"Get ahold of yourself man!" She shouted, slapping Nora across the face. The bubbly redhead was taken aback for a second, clutching her cheek.

Ren was legitimately worried until both girls simaltaneously broke into laughter. He looked down at Ruby, raising an eyebrow. She had no idea what was happening either, shrugging to show that.

Both Yang and Nora were bent over practically slapping their knees in hysterical laughter. Ren gave up trying to make sense of the situation, just crossing his arms over his chest and smiling.

"Aren't you two just the best friends?" He asked, watching as Nora hopped up, grabbing Yang and hugging her tight.

"Better than best friends!" She exclaimed, squeezing Yang's neck. Ren's right eyebrow raised a bit, curious to know if Nora understood fully what it sounded like she had just said.

Yang's laughter subsided as she stood up fully, wiping her eye one last time.

"W-wait what?" She asked, still recovering from her laughter.

"I was just saying that we're more than just best friends." Nora repeated for her blonde partner. Yang looked at her a bit nervously, giving a light but nervous chuckle. Her eyes skipped between Ruby and Nora.

"Yeah, super best friends!" Yang agreed, before slipping her arm across Nora's shoulders. "We should be going."

With that last comment, Yang as Nora were gone as though Oobleck had grabbed them and ran off. Ren stared at the cloud of dust the two had left in their hasty escape.

"Well... That was weird." Ruby commented.

"So... Do we need to go over the plan one more time, or is it good?" Ruby asked Ren, who was wiping his eyes tiredly. They'd been working at this task since leaving the bench, and Ruby was confident that this version would work.

"I understand, Ru." He clarified, smiling. Both of them were leaning over a table looking at the poorly drawn map Ruby had made to add a visual to the plan. Ren had looked at her most of the time though.

"So, are you ready to execute Plan 'Make-Arkos-A-Thing'?" She asked, pushing off the table and smirking. Ren did the same, but crossed his arms over his chest.

"Remind me again why that's the name of Jaune and Pyrrha as a couple?" Ren asked, raising an eyebrow at his girlfriend. Ruby shrugged, looking up at him before quickly looking back down at the table.

"Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Jaune and Pyrrha Arkos!" She said, snickering, "gosh, Ren it's like you've never shipped before."

Ren shook his head, confused.

"Shipped?" He looked at her, puzzled. She scoffed and walked toward the door, grabbing his collar and dragging him out of the room.

"I know I said I was okay with this plan earlier," Ren began as they walked through the halls on their way to the cafeteria, "but are you sure it'll work? I mean, It requires Jaune to follow me both physically and mentally. I don't know Jaune that well but I'm fairly certain the latter will be difficult for him."

"Ren, please, cut Jaune and I some slack." She said, casually brushing his hand quite purposely in hopes he would get her hint, "Jaune isn't that oblivious, and I'm not that bad at plans."

Ren got her hint and took her hand in his, thought not before checking ahead and behind them for any sign of Yang or Nora. His hand was warm, and wrapped around hers it made her insides feel the same way.

"I know both of those things, but you said that all he sees is Weiss?" He asked rhetorically, "I think it'll be difficult for him to grasp the concept that the girl he likes doesn't reciprocate his feelings and that another girl likes him."

Ruby nodded, before the two of them came to a stop at the cafeteria doors.

"You say some big words." She mused jokingly.

Ren chuckled lightly, unknowingly giving her hand a light squeeze. As he laughed, his eyes scanned inside the cafeteria. Team JNBS sat at a table at the far end, Jaune sitting next to an aggravated Weiss. Blake sat across from Jaune, angrily picking away at her food while Pyrrha leaned on her palm.

"Team JNBS never looks happy." Ruby noted, watching as Weiss rubbed the bridge of her nose, before rising and strutting over toward the entrance. Ruby quickly disconnected their hands, before grabbing a tray and pretending that she and Ren weren't just holding hands.

Weiss didn't seem to care either way, as she just walked right past the two in a huff.

"Weiss never looks happy." Ren added, following Ruby's idea of taking the tray and acting casual.

The cafeteria was lively that day, with students shouting across tables at one another, tossing each other food and having generally loud conversations. It hurt Ren's ears and made this room his least favourite in the entire school.

"Hey guys!" Ruby greeted as she sat down next to Jaune on the bench. Ren sat down opposite her, next to Pyrrha. Ruby noticed how exhausted Pyrrha looked, and how numb Jaune looked. It was rather concerning.

"Hello, Ruby." Pyrrha said in response, rubbing her eyes with the balls of her palms. Ruby frowned, her eyes darting to meet Ren's. He shrugged lightly so the remaining members of Team JNBS wouldn't see him. Ruby looked back to Pyrrha.

"Is everything alright with you guys? You seem tired." Ruby asked, turning her head to look at Blake, and then Jaune before tensing back to Pyrrha. The redhead sighed.

"Yeah, just some... Rather sleepless nights, is all." Pyrrha stated, causing Blake to scoff.

"Yeah, thank some cold hearted tyrant's child for that." Blake growled, shaking her head. Jaune groaned, collapsing his head on the table tiredly. Ruby looked up at Ren, concern clear in her eyes.

"Can we just stop with the insults and the threats for one day, please?" Jaune asked, clearly fatigued by all the fighting he must have been exposed to over the past few days. "I lived with eight women and experienced less drama."

Ruby had to suppress a chuckle at that comment, realizing it was inappropriate to laugh.

"Don't look at me, I didn't start it." Blake muttered, standing up and collecting her tray before storming off. Now Ruby was really concerned, but she knew she would only make a fight worse if it contained Weiss. She sighed and shook her head before looking back up at Pyrrha.

"Pyrrha," she began, causing Pyrrha to look up at her, "I need to talk to you about that favour you asked me yesterday."

Pyrrha's mouth hung open for a second, before she cleared her throat and nodded. Her green eyes looked over to her blonde leader, whose head rested firmly on the wood of the table, before settling back on Ruby's.

"Oh, yes. Shall we take a walk and talk about it? I'd hate to bore boys." Pyrrha asked, raising from her spot at the table. Ruby followed along, rising from the bench and following the redhead champion as she walked out of the cafeteria.

As the two left, Ruby glanced back at Ren and nodded. Ren nodded back, before sliding over on the bench to be in front of Jaune.

When they were outside of the cafeteria, Pyrrha rubbed her eyes again. Ruby frowned and patted her shoulder.

"Weiss and Blake fighting a lot huh?" Ruby asked, not knowing what else to say until there was no chance of Jaune hearing somehow. Pyrrha just nodded.

"They argue into the early hours of morning, about irrelevant things like civil rights movements and the conditions the workers of Schnee are put into. Just non stop bickering." Pyrrha complained, before shaking her head and straightening up. She folded her arms in front of her, before looking down at Ruby. "Anyways, what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Oh, right," Ruby reminded herself of the Arkos conversation, "well, Ren and I have been together for two days now, and I've never actually, y'know, dated a bit before Ren so the only real experience I have to work off of is fiction and how Ren and I got together."

"Unfortunately, fiction is kinda unreliable because it's so unrealistic, and Ren and I got together in such a weird way it'd be hard to replicate, so I can only say I have one idea of how to make Arkos happen." Ruby explained. Mentally, Pyrrha questioned the term Arkos before realizing it was her and Jaune.

"I think you should just be open and tell him." Ruby stated bluntly. Pyrrha stopped in her tracks, causing Ruby to do the same. The redhead looked down at Ruby, looking nervously at her.

"Just... Tell him? Just say 'hey Jaune, I have a huge crush on you'?" Pyrrha asked. Ruby nodded, her facial expression making it seem like that was the obvious thing to do.

"Yeah. Exactly that." She smiled, "Ren found out from pretty much the same openness, and now we're together. So I mean, it works doesn't it?" She added.

Pyrrha stared at the ground for a moment, a deep breath escaping from her nostrils as she thought about the other girl's suggestion. Just telling him seemed difficult. Could Ruby do it for her? No, that was cowardly. She was no coward, she could tell Jaune herself.

She drew a steady intake of breath, before nodding, still extremely nervous about the thought.

"If you think it will work..." Pyrrha said, the unsure feeling sinking deeper in her chest. Ruby suddenly grabbed either of Pyrrha's shoulders and looked up into her shining green eyes.

"Pyrrha, it will work. I promise you." Ruby said this with such certainty because she knew there was more to this situation than Pyrrha could see. Right now, Ren was working hard on getting Jaune ready. Or so she hoped.

"Okay, so what is our course of action then?" Pyrrha's eyes met hers. Ruby hadn't imagined that she'd be helping an older girl get a boyfriend. Needless to say, a lot of things were changing for her over the course of a few days.

"We build you up some courage, walk over to Jaune, ad you tell him exactly how you feel." Ruby said assuringly, smiling at the redhead. Pyrrha put on a smile that hid her false confidence.

For the following hour, Ruby Rose and Pyrrha Nikos walked the campus grounds in preparation for her admittance. The hour they spent they were both fretting something; Pyrrha worried that Jaune wouldn't reciprocate her feelings, and Ruby worried that Ren wouldn't be able to fulfill his part of the plan.

But Ruby's worry faded when her Scroll vibrated in her corset pocket. She slid it out while Pyrrha repeated the same line over and over again, her confidence building each time she said it.

Ren's icon appeared in her Scroll, along with a text message reading: "He's ready."

Ruby unknowingly put on a smile, looking up at Pyrrha.

"I think you're good to go! Any longer preparing and I'm sure you'll start wanting to back out!" Ruby said, guiding Pyrrha back to the first year dorms. Pyrrha looked at her, clearly unsure of Ruby's confidence in her.

"If you say so, Ruby." Pyrrha sighed, mentally preparing herself for the following task. Little did she know, she wouldn't actually have to do anything all thanks to Ren.

The Team JNBS dorm room sat right ahead of the redheaded champion, her hand shaking and a her knees quivering. She didn't even question how Ruby knew Jaune would be in here. Ruby pressed her ear to the door, hearing her own boyfriend say: "Again."

Ruby quickly threw the door open, just in time for Pyrrha to hear Jaune shout: "Pyrrha will you go out with me?!"

Ruby looked up to Ren, both smiling confidently. Ren was leaning on a bed post with his arms crossed, apple in hand.

Pyrrha was taken aback immediately, and so was Jaune. They had been set up for this moment perfectly, and Ruby already planned to brag about it to her teammate later.

"Yes, of course, Jaune!" Pyrrha said finally, her hands pressed into her chest happily.

Ren just glanced at Ruby again, looking up in time to see Ruby wrap her arms around his abdomen.

"We did it." She whispered proudly.
