At first Harry had been completely unresponsive, his eyes glazed over looking at a fixed point on the wall, not really seeing it. But two weeks later and Harry responded to his name being called, even if it was only the motion of his eyes flickering to the person who called him, and then looking back at the white wall. What also was marked as an improvement, was that Harry had started to interact with animals. When Barney came and James and Sirius changed into their animagus forms, Harry would snap out of his stupor and talk to the animals. He was talk to them about how he felt and what was going on in his mind. James and Sirius would then report to Madam Pomfrey who would often smile at the news, as Harry's mental state seemed to continually get better.

"Hey Harry!" Ginny said sweetly as she came to sit next to Harry.

"Hello Ginny." Harry replied, turning his head slightly to look at her.

Ginny paused, looking at Harry wide eyed. She couldn't believe that Harry had just started to speak again. Ginny mentally shook herself and continued to speak, wanting to make the most of his talkative mood. "How do you feel?"

"Better, the thoughts aren't as confusing. Sometimes they still echo and contradict themselves, but not as much." Harry said as if Ginny knew this had all been happening.

"That's great, Harry!" Ginny praised happily. "Are you hungry? Do you need anything?"

"I just need you to stay here." Harry replied, moving over on the bed so Ginny could sit next to him. Ginny smiled and gently sat next to him, smiling as she did so.

"So Harry, when will you be ready to see all of the others?" Ginny asked, hoping the answer would be soon.

"In seven days, one hour, twenty two minutes and thirty eight seconds." Harry replied precisely, startling Ginny.

True to Harry's word, seven days, one hour, twenty two minutes and thirty eight seconds later Harry came out of his stupor in front of his parents, Sirius and Remus. He looked around the room and then at the people gathered around his bed. "When can I get out of here?"

James looked at his son for a full minute before laughing, more in relief than anything else. "Soon son, soon."

"No, I need to know exactly when." Harry said seriously, giving James a sharp stare.

James started at Harry's tone of voice. He had never heard Harry sound like that. "I'll ask Madam Pomfrey." James replied, standing and walking to her office.

Lily ran her fingers through Harry's hair and she watched as he stiffened, his eyes glazing over for a few seconds, before he relaxed and leaned into her touch. Harry closed his eyes as a scene flashed before him. He would be leaving in two weeks. Harry opened his eyes once more and looked at his mum.

"It doesn't matter, I'll be let out in two weeks." Harry yawned, his eyes slipping close once more.

Harry lay with his eyes closed for a few minutes, waiting for the sound of a door opening and closing. When it sounded Harry opened his eyes a crack, enough to be able to see his father walk back to his seat next to Lily.

"You'll be released in about two weeks, if everything goes well." James said, looking at Harry with a small smile. "Sleep now, Harry, you need to get your sleep if you are to be released in two weeks."

Harry smiled and closed his eyes once more, instantly drifting off to sleep.

A battle raged around him. Jets of lights flew in every direction, often rebounding off objects or shield charms. Then, with a bang, the death eaters flew through the air, landing with sickening crunches. It was over.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!" two of the less injured death eaters shouted.

The jets of light flew towards a couple. He could not see their faces, just the silhouette of them. Someone screamed just as the couple were struck down: dead.

Harry awoke with a gasp, sweat dripped down his forehead as he lied in the darkness of the hospital wing. All of a sudden he felt someone next to him and he looked to his right. Madam Pomfrey was sat next to him, a cold cloth in hand.

"Harry, what was the dream about?" she asked, looking as him with concern.

"I... A battle. We were fighting somewhere, I couldn't see where. Death Eaters were everywhere. There was a bang and the Death Eaters were all thrown backwards. It looked like the battle was over, but then two Death Eaters shouted the killing curse, and they both flew towards a couple and they were killed." Harry paused for a moment. "It felt like... It felt as though it will come true, that it is the future."

Madam Pomfrey looked at Harry thoughtfully. After a bit of thought she stood and walked to her office. A few minutes passed before she came back out of her office, muggle pieces of paper, muggle pens and pencils in hand. She places them on the table at the end of Harry's bed. "If you have another dream, or feel as though you need to write or draw, I want you to use the supplies I have put at the end of your bed. Now, you should get back to sleep, unless you want to be in here for an extra week."

Harry smiled and closed his eyes, knowing that the motherly matron did not make empty threats.

I'm so sorry for the really long wait! My only excuse is that I have had alot of revision to do recently, and that I was trying to make the dream as vague as possible... you will see why later in this story.

I would also like to thank you for all the amazing reviews... Although I am finding it hard to believe that this is one of the best Harry Potter fan fictions around... I really think you must've read loads of really bad ones!

So any requests for future chapters?

Thanks,

Hannah
