Chapter 11 part 2
"I know Raven. Channel your emotions and feel them at the bottom of your stomach. As you can tell, this is not my first time doing so."
"Just do it Kori. The last time I swear."
"But Raven, you said that when you promised me a break. And if I recall correctly, that was ten minutes ago!"
"Well it's your fault too if you knew that I didn't give you your break yet. Come on Kori, you're almost there! I can feel it!"
With a curse muttered under her breath, Kori resumed her mediation stance. Think of the memory of Silkie. You felt happiness towards the creature. Albeit, disgust at first, but then...happiness. Continue to think about the little worm.
A smile plastered itself against Kori's face and Raven could feel one strong emotion coming from the alien. Pure bliss. Good. Very good.
"Have your memory?"
Kori was too in deep in the emotion that the empath's words almost fell deaf to Kori's ears. At first, she answered with a "Hm?" but then recovered and answered the question. "Oh, yes. Yes I do. Now I must let that consume my entire mind, yes?" With a nod from her friend, she proceeded.
Breath in and out. In and out.

Kori was feeling a tug against her lips as she continued to let the feeling consume her mind and heart. While Kori was focusing on the memory, Raven kept her eye on the Tamaranian's bottom to see if it would lift off the ground. So far, nothing. Maybe she wasn't doing it right.
Just as Raven was going to stop Kori, off of the corner of her eye, she saw her butt lift off the floor maybe an inch or two. She quickly looked at Kori's feet to see if they did anything to help this but they were also an inch above the floor. She was floating. Kori was floating. Starfire was floating.
Unfortunately, Kori didn't notice when she didn't feel anything supporting her weight as she let the memory flow through her mind a couple more times. Oh Silkie, I wish I remembered you and more of the times we shared together. What did I do to lost the memory of this little creature? Was it my fault?
This caused the floating girl to drop her smile and her body from the small space between her and the ground. A sigh escaped her lips as she slowly opened her eyes to see an astonished Raven. An astonished Raven who was smiling. Before she could react, Raven had pulled Kori into a hug as small items around them were exploding. The empath quickly pulled away just as fast as she went into the hug.
"Good job Kori. We'll pick it back up tomorrow. Have a nice rest." Without another word, Raven teleported herself away from her friend, leaving Kori sitting there, confused.
"Huh?"
I have no idea how Starfire channels her powers and emotions. I know that she lets herself feel them but otherwise I have no knowledge of the sort. I tried researching it but, of course, nothing helped. I have no idea if anyone knows but if you do, then could you please PM? I'm pretty sure that I will have to use it in future stories or references. Anyway, I would like to apologize for this chapter. I forgot where I was going with this because I was consumed with the next chapter too much to pay attention to this one.
Please review and all that other good stuff! I don't own anything but Warner Bros. and DC Comics do!
Always yours,
light is in the dark
P.S. Short chapter, I know and sorry about that. I left it on a happy note though.
