Radioactive Mirrors Chapter Twelve –
Thor had dropped him off again after school. By now the receptionist just waved him through, past the crowd of photographers that had gathered since Tony found consciousness. He ignored their questions and made his way to Tony's ward, walking straight into the private room.
Once they were certain Tony was going to be okay, Obie only stayed at the hospital for a few hours at a time. He spent the majority of his time away managing Howard, his business, the press, and trying to organise things for Tony.
This meant that when Loki got there, he knew he'd have a conscious Tony all to himself.
When he walked in the room, he was surprised to see Tony sitting up in his bed, reading a book. It had been a few days since he'd regained consciousness, but because of his injuries, they kept him there so they could continue to monitor him as he healed. When Tony heard the door being open, he quickly threw the book on the floor in an attempt to hide it and smiled suspiciously at Loki.
"Hey Lokes."
Loki looked at him suspiciously as he took his usual chair. "I didn't know you could read."
"Of course I can read." Tony rolled his eyes and blushed slightly. Suspicious.
"So, what were you reading?" Loki got up from his chair and motioned for Tony to scoot over so he could sit on the bed with him.
"U-um. Nothing special. Just Harry Potter..." He said as he moved a little. It was an obvious lie.
"Anthony." Loki sighed melodramatically. "I am practically the God of lies. Don't think I can't spot one, especially when it's as bad as that."
"Damn." Tony muttered quietly. He glanced sheepishly up at Loki who was raising an eyebrow at him then sighed dramatically. "Okay, I was reading 50 Shades of Grey."
"You're serious?" Loki sounded disgusted.
Tony looked away and blushed a little more. "Don't judge me okay, I'm bored here and... A little frustrated if I'm honest."
Loki smiled and kissed Tony's temple softly. "Get any ideas?"
Tony locked his eyes onto him, gave him a seductive look, and then raised his eyebrows suggestively. "Maybe, although the content is pretty crap if I'm honest. It's not even a good representation of BDSM."
Loki lifted Tony's chin with a finger, tilting to just the right angle for him to catch his lips in the softest kiss Tony had ever felt. "Don't you worry me like that again."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "About the book?" He smirked at Loki's peeved expression then clasped their hands together lovingly. "Don't worry, I don't plan on it." He smiled.
"Good." Loki kissed him again, a little less gentle than the first, but careful not to hurt Tony's healing lip.
"Hey, uh, listen. We need to talk." Tony said, sounding, to Loki, unusually serious.
"What?"
"Well... You've probably seen all the press outside right?"
"Sure." He leant his heard on Tony's good shoulder and wrapped his arm around his middle.
"So, I'm guessing they've seen you come in and know you're visiting me so... What do you want me to say? About me and you I mean."
"What do you mean, like if we're going to tell them about us?"
"Well, they're going to be haranguing me about why you've been visiting me so often. I have to think about what to say because once I say something, it's out there forever." Tony paused. "Do you want me telling them about us?"
"Well if you don't want them to know, then we could keep it a secret for a bit longer I suppose." Loki wrapped his other arm around Tony's body. "But then we have to keep it a secret from your friends and have to sneak around again. We'll have to make up a story for the ones who know." Loki closes his eyes. "It just depends how serious you are about me."
Tony was quiet in thought for a moment. "Well... I don't know. I mean, I like you a lot, and you can't deny that we're awesome together." He smirked. "But I don't want to sneak around. I lo- like you too much to hide it." He blushed at the near slip in his words and looked down at Loki.
"Buuutt...?" Loki opened his eyes and looked up at Tony's.
"But would you be okay with me coming out officially and saying we're together? It doesn't just depend on how serious I am..."
Loki laughed quietly. "I've already told Odin, how more serious do you expect me to get?"
Tony shrugged. "That's true."
"This is about you Tony, which is why it has to be your decision. I mean, forget about me. Are you certain you are gay?"
"No, I'm not. I still like girls, so I'm coming out as bisexual."
Loki smiled "sounds like you've already decided."
"I guess so." Tony smiled back then leant down to kiss him.
Loki met his lips with a smile and moved his hand to Tony's chest as they kissed.
When they pulled apart, Tony growled and three his head back in exasperation. "Ugh, I want to take this further than kissing but just... Arg!"
"It's not just that dear, we're in a hospital."
"Yes! I know that!" Tony shook his head. "Sorry. It's just... Inconvenient. Neither of us could help it though. I'll be out soon... Hopefully."
"Is having nothing to do really driving you so insane?"
"Yes! I feel like I should be doing more. Obie won't even bring me my tools and a few parts to build stuff."
Loki could stop himself from laughing, despite the peeved look he knew he'd get. "I'm not surprised." Yep, there it was, the peeved look. "It was him who brought you 50 shades of grey wasn't it?"
"Uh huh." Tony said then pouted and frowned. "Don't laugh at me."
"But you just make it so easy." He teases, kissing the corner of Tony's mouth quickly.
"Hmm." Tony rolled his eyes then pulled Loki into a longer kiss.
-Page Break-
"Hi." Bruce said as Loki flopped down into the seat beside him.
"I swear, I someone asks me how Anthony is one more time, I'll throttle them." Loki threw his bag violently under the table and slouched over the table.
Bruce was quiet for a moment before he coughed awkwardly and fiddled with his glasses. "So, uh, h-how is he doing?" He asked carefully.
Loki looked at him with a perfect eyebrow raised. "Are you fucking serious?" Leaning back in his chair, Loki let put a long sigh before massaging his globella. "Yeah, he's conscious, healing. Bored. And you know how bad a bored Anthony is. It wouldn't surprise me if he dismantled the hospital bed and build a pet robot with a ridiculous name."
"That's not surprising and probably. He was planning on building one and naming it Dum-E."
Loki laughed as shook his head. "He should be out in a day or two, they're only keeping him in because of the concussion.
"Oh, that's good." Bruce smiled. "So how are you?"
"Fine. Could do with a decent sleep."
"Then I wouldn't invite Tony round when he gets released." Bruce smirked knowingly then started to get his stuff out his bag.
Loki's eyes widened at Bruce for saying such a thing.
