A/N: Yes. Extras Everywhere. Can't get my head on the story, and if I did try to, I swear, this thing's going to be in a hiatus forever.
Marco was walking around the deck of his ship, he was outside for a breather since he's still quite hungover from last time. It's been so long since then, since he last saw their cheerful captain and his son. He could no longer hear the storage room randomly exploding, some naked guy running around the ship, an old man laughing while indulging in to alcohol, and the sound of that old man calling them his son.
It's been so long.
So long?
It's only been a few months, yet it already feels as if a hundred years had passed by.
Marco looked up the sky with a sigh, he reached out and narrowed his eyes. "Man... I wish they'd see the stars right now." Just then, his eyes caught sight of something that flew across the sky, leaving a trail of light. Just then he had remembered something a brother of his used to say.
"Marco!"
Marco turned to the raven calling on to him. "What now Ace... if it's something useless I'm going to shave you bald.", the boy snorted, "Yeah, sure, go on and try." Just when Marco grabbed the knife on the table, Ace raised his hands, signalling him to stop. "I'll show you something, and I promise, it won't be useless!"
Marco sighed, "Outside? I don't want to, it's chilly." Ace then sighed, "You haven't even seen it yet!", "Okay fine fine... I'll go and see whatever you're talking about." Marco grabbed his coat and was about to head outside but momentarily stopped and stared at Ace, "This better not be one of your shitty experime-", "Shush Marco, number 1, my experiments aren't shitty, number 2, it's not even related to it." He glared and headed outside. Marco sighed for the umpteenth time and followed the boy outside, and just before he could ask what on Earth Ace was planning, his eyes caught sight of a bright night sky, it was so relaxing and pretty.
"See! I didn't even have to tell you!" Ace grinned and Marco smiled as well, just then Ace's eyes seemed to widen and his mouth gaped slightly open. "What is it now?" Marco asked, following Ace's eyes, but saw nothing. "A shooting star just passed Marco!" He beamed and pointed at the sky while jumping around happily. "Don't tell me you're the type of guy who would actually make a wi-"
"I wish that I'd be able to protect Luffy so that he could be able to follow his dreams of becoming the Pirate King!"
"... -sh... on a shooting... gah." Marco looked away with a scoff, "I can't even tell sometimes if you're on pops or on that brat's side."
"He's not a brat Marco." Ace glared at him, "Besides, it won't be much of a competition if Luff dies first right?" Ace laughs. "Specially if you die first you moron." Marco stared at him bluntly, "Hey hey hey! I'm not gonna die first! I'm way stronger than Luff, you got that?" He pointed at Marco with a pout. "Yeah yeah." Marco shoved Ace's hand away and looked back up the sky. "It's pretty, ain't it?"
"Yeah." Ace smiled, "It's one of my first times seeing this kind of night sky. Someday, we'd all be able to stargaze with pops and everyone else, and I just can't wait 'til then!" Ace grinned. "I guess that would sort of be fun..." Marco looked away, "For kids like you."
"What was that?!" Ace twitched.
"And we never got to do it." He sighed, once again, "Idiot." Marco then put his hand in his pockets, and closed his eyes. "I never thought I'd do this but..."
"I wish that I'd be with pops and Ace for a little while longer."
Just then, Marco opened his eyes and spotted something falling from the sky. At first, he only scrunched his eyebrow, but when he noticed it was falling directly to their ship, he popped his eyes out and ran to the nearest room. But before he could even reach the room, the object fell on the deck, and upon contact, it release a huge cloud of smoke, causing Marco's eyes to tear up and making him cough.
"WAH! WHAT THE HELL!?"
Marco's eyes widened when he heard that tiny voice, and turned to the shadow figures behind the smoke.
"What on Earth... is..."
He turned to the other figure, his eyes wider than ever, and his mouth slightly gaped open, just like when Ace saw the shooting star, realizing the deep and slightly old voice that came out from that figure. Could it be...?
A scream for help echoed throughout the ship, waking up almost everyone in it. Law, who happened to be outside gathering some plants, heard it and ran to the voice as fast as he could. As soon as he arrived, he saw Sabo talking to a teary-eyed Luffy.
"And what did you guys do no-... Wait a second... Weren't there three of you?" Law blinked and counted with his finger. "IT'S ACE!" Luffy cried out, "I WAS JUST TALKING TO HIM AND THEN HE SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED IN SMOKE!"
To be continued...
