SAM'S P.O.V.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Can't you drive any faster?" Cas asked from the back seat.
"No! I have a law to obey here!" Dean said, turning the corner. Cas let out an annoyed sigh.
"It's okay. Hopefully she won't do anything dumb before we get there." Rae said, putting a hand in Cas' shoulder. It was silent until we pulled into the convenient store parking lot and we all scrambled out.
"I'll go inside and get her. You all stay out here in case she decides to run." We nodded and Cas went inside. Moments later, he reemerged from the store, this time with Clair in tow. They were already arguing but Clair stopped when she saw us.
"Oh hey, Hasselhoff and his lovely brother. Just who I wanted to see." She rolled her eyes. Dean looked slightly offended and Rae looked more than slightly annoyed.
"Excuse you, we just stopped you from doing a very stupid thing. Be a little grateful." Rae growled, crossing her arms. Clair looked her up and down before scowling.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Someone who's obviously smarter than you." Rae shot back. Clair opened her mouth but was interrupted by Cas.
"Enough." Cas said, staring at Rae. Rae let out a sigh.
"Why are you assholes even here anyway?" Clair asked. Rae's head snapped towards Clair.
"Rae." I said sternly. She looked at me, then at Clair, then back to me.
"If anyone needs me, I'll be the Impala." She finally said, walking off across the parking lot. Clair watched her walk off. Talk about teenage drama...
"We're here to help you Clair. You could've gotten in serious trouble back there!" Cas said. Clair rolled her eyes.
"I don't need help from the ones who killed my father. You guys can go to hell for all I care." Dean raised an eyebrow.
"Clair." Cas attempted, but she shoved herself out of Cas' grip.
"I'm leaving. Don't follow me." She turned and walked off the other way. We all sat there in silence until a voice came from behind us.
"Is that bitch gone?" Rae yelled from the front seat of the Impala. Cas frowned, I shook my head and Dean let out a laugh.
"Yes, she is." I yelled back.
"Thank god! Let's go eat something. I'm hungry!"
"She's been hanging around you too much." I said to Dean as we walked back to the Impala. He shrugged
"I'm kinda hungry too." We reached the Impala to find Rae hanging out of the drivers window.
"She didn't stick around long." Rae said, smiling.
"We aren't exactly her best friends, now hop in back, kiddo." Dean said as Rae climbed in back with Cas. Dean started the Impala and we started to head somewhere.
"I'm surprised anyone's her best friend with that attitude. No offense, Cas. I mean, that is your child-not-child." Cas shrugged.
"I just wish she was more understanding. It's like she doesn't understand what she's doing is wrong. She needs to have common sense."
"I can beat it into her if you want me to." Rae said. Cas looked exasperatedly at Rae.
"What is everyone in the mood for?" Dean asked.
"A drink." Cas muttered.
"Milkshakes!" Rae exclaimed.
"Anything really." I said. Dean nodded and pulled into some diner. We all climbed out and went in. After explaining that Rae wasn't going to be drinking anything but a milkshake, we finally sat down at the bar.
"Is there something I'm not doing right?" Cas asked after some silence.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked, chomping into his burger.
"This whole fatherhood thing. What am I doing wrong?"
"Nothing. You're aren't supposed to be best friends with your kids." Dean said. "I mean, I wasn't best friends with my dad."
"Tell him about the time we went to New York City." I said. Dean laughed.
"Okay, so we were obviously in New York City, and I managed to sneak into a CBGB. And me being 17 year old me, I thought I was the biggest and coolest one in the club. And I got drunk. So drunk. About half way through the night, I hear someone call my name. I turn, and it's him. Dad, that is. I knew I was dead. He drug me out of there, and I was mad, but that's what he told me. He wasn't his job to be liked, it was his job to raise me right." I smiled at the memory of Dad.
"What about you, little one. What's your dad like?" Cas asked Rae. Rae's head shot up.
"My dad?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Well..."
RAE'S P.O.V.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All three of them was staring at me. I was avoiding eye contact with Dean though.
"He's a good man. Well, I assume he is. Everyone tells me he is. I...haven't seen him for years. I've been living with my uncle."
"Oh. Is he a good dad?" Cas asked. I laughed.
"He doesn't really have kids. It's just me and him. But yes, he's the one who taught me respect and everything else, so I'd say he's a good dad."
"Do you miss him? Your dad, I mean." Cas asked. This time I did look at Dean, but only briefly.
"Sometimes. I definitely wish he was around more, but I always figured he had his reasons for leaving, and that he'd come back one day." We all went silent. I quietly slurped my milkshake. We all finished eating and continued to sit in silence.
"Do you think Clair is in trouble?" Cas asked after a while.
"Well, whoever's she's living with sent her to rob a store. So I'm not going to say he's the best guardian..." Dean said.
"Think we should check on her?" Cas asked again.
"Yes." I replied. The three of them looked at me funny.
"Just because I hate her doesn't mean I think anything bad should happen to her. Let's go." We all got up and headed back to the Impala. Cas remembered Clair's address from trying to 'adopt' her and we headed that way. As we arrived, we saw about 5 extra cars parked in their driveway.
"That's not good." I whispered. Dean parked the Impala and we all slowly climbed out.
"Are we just gonna bust in there or..?" I asked.
"I guess we don't have a choice." Sam whispered. I nodded and slid my angel blade out of my sleeve. We crept towards the house and without warning, Cas blew the door down and stormed in.
"In we go!" Sam said, and we all quickly followed Cas in. There was about five men standing around someone tied up in a chair. The man in the chair looked at us weirdly, like we were someone who just busted through his door. I mean we were but...
"Where is she?" Cas demanded, getting up in one of the dudes face. He smirked.
"Who?" He asked calmly.
"Clair! Where. Is. Clair?" Cas asked. There was a scream from upstairs. Cas threw the man down and headed up stairs. The man went to move but I pointed my blade at him.
"Stay down!" He stayed. I heard something explode upstairs, probably another door. There was rustling and voices before Cas came back down with Clair clinging onto him.
"We're leaving." Cas growled. He led Clair out, Sam nodded to Dean and followed him out. Dean went to move, but one of the guys stepped in front of him. We both froze.
"Not so fast, slick. Do you know how much money I'm losing right now?"
"I don't care about you or your sick deeds. Now get out of my way." The man smirked. Someone grabbed me from behind, making me scream. Dean turned to me, and the man grabbed a lamp and smashed it over Deans head, making Dean collapse.
"Dean!" I yelled, rushing over to him. The guy, who I now assumed ran this whole operation, stepped over Dean. I pointed my blade at him.
"Stay away from me." My voice quavered.
"Aw, is someone scared?" He cocked his head to the side and smiled at me. "You know, you're really cute. Why don't you-"
"I will stab you if you don't shut the hell up." I said.
"Aw, I don't think so." He said, moving away from Dean and heading towards me. The other men started heading towards me too. All it took was one swift move for them to disarm me. They surrounded me and smiled. I was far too outnumbered. Why wasn't Sam coming in and checking on us? Deans body suddenly jerked, and he began to stand up. His eyes met mine, and...
They weren't Deans eyes
They were colder, meaner, ruthless, but they also looked excited.
Without warning, Dean grabbed the first man and jabbed his blade into his ribcage. He dropped him and quickly moved onto the next man. He sliced his throat open, and shoved him aside as the man flopped around on the ground. He grabbed the third man and shoved his blade into his collar bone. The other two men, including Boss Man, we're trying to scramble away, but Dean was too fast. He grabbed one of the men by the ankle and drug the man towards himself. Dean stabbed him in his gut, and did it again, and again, and again, and again...
"What are you?" The boss man asked. Dean stopped stabbing and smirked at the man. The man's eyes widened and Dean pounced on him and stabbed him repeatedly too.
"Dean..." I whispered. Dean kept stabbing the man.
"Dean, stop! He's dead!" Dean turned towards me and stood up. I scrambled for my angel blade, which had been knocked out of my hand earlier.
"Dean, stop. You know me!" Dean smirked. Something within me began to slowly stir. Dean kept heading towards me. I was in the middle of the room, he was near the door, but now I was scooting backwards. Was he really going to kill me? What was wrong with him?
"Dean, please." Deans smirk grew. I got up and was prepared to run, but I was quickly intercepted by a wall.
"Damn it." I whispered, turning towards Dean. That something from before suddenly grew. It was rising up to the threat that was Dean. It was slowly churning, like it was ready to attack at any moment. I figured I had to be in some sort of trouble if it was rising up now. This was the first time I ever felt it rise up when I wasn't around the demon.
Dean was now probably a foot in front of me. I couldn't fight him. He was far too skilled and strong for me. He grabbed my shirt and picked me up. Before I could react, he threw me. I landed, my power rising even more. Before I could push myself up, he was kicking me. Finally, I lost it.
"Dad, STOP!" I screamed as my power bursted.
Blue.
Nothing but blue.
It was all rushing out so quick.
Blackness.
But within blackness, there was voices.
"Rae. RAE! Wake up! C'mon." I opened my eyes to find Sam hovering above me. I blinked and sat up. We were still in the house. How long was I out? I looked over at Dean, who was kneeling in the middle of the room, to find him staring at me, confused.
"Rae, what happened?" Sam asked. "Why, why is everyone dead? Rae, answer me!" I couldn't look away from Dean though. I couldn't think straight. It was like my brain had turned to mush.
"Dean...was trying to...or I thought...but he lost it...he lost it."
"Did he have to? Was someone in danger?" A splitting headache suddenly emerged in my head. I reached up and held my head.
"I was, but...he killed them." I whispered. "He didn't have to..." I was suddenly being scooped up. Sam carried me outside and put me in the back of the Impala.
"Stay." He disappeared. I laid my head against the headrest. I was so tired. Why? The car door opened again and Dean sat down. He turned towards me. He looked like normal Dean now, just bloody.
"Are you okay?" He asked. He looked so concerned.
"Yeah. Just...tired..." I whispered, closing my eyes. I just wanted to sleep. Sam climbed in the drivers seat and started up the Impala.
"You know we'll have to tell her now." Sam said.
"Tell me what?" I asked.
"We'll tell you later. Go to sleep, Rae." Sam said quietly. We pulled forward and drove. I didn't know where we were going, nor did I care. I let my head slump to the side and fell quickly asleep.
Hey everyone!
Sorry I've been gone so long! School started back up, and my sister just had a baby.
But I'm back! The new episode of SPN was really good, in my opinion.
I should update a little more regularly, but if I dont, just hang tight. I'm probably working on it.
shoutout to StolenByFandoms67 for leaving a review.
Until next time!
