If there was one thing that Akashi valued other than her ex-teammates then it would be her current ones. Rakuzan wasn't as friendly as Teiko had been (It never was, but they'd made it that way for a while), but she would admit that her teammates had slowly grown on her. From Hayama's off the wall enthusiasm to Mayuzumi's silent, contemplative calm.
It was little things at first, like Reo offering a water bottle and towel after she'd finished her weight room training. Eikichi would always place piece of high quality meat in her lunch bento, stating that she didn't eat enough and that meat was good for her. Kotaro often joined her in her private practice times in the gym, somehow always knowing when Akashi was going, never leaving until she did. Chihiro would sometimes join her in the library for studying, they would never speak, just work silently alongside one another.
The gestures were confusing at first; it wasn't like she'd told them to accompany her. But more confusing was that Akashi found that she appreciated these small gestures; she supposed that it was their way to befriend her without offending her in some way. She was somewhat touched at the care they took, never doing anything that she would deem to be disobedience or insolence. Everyone did that though, tread around her with care. At least that was the general public, Akashi learned that Rakuzan didn't do this because they feared a less than friendly reaction, it was more like consideration.
"Hm? We just don't want to see you upset. You're much prettier when you're happy Sei-chan, besides if you always get upset, you'll get wrinkles." She only blinked in surprise at Reo's answer when she'd finally decided to ask why. It was like she had thought; it was out of consideration borne from concern that had somehow developed along the way into care. They had done it like it was a normal occurrence without any prompting from her and that she should know it was normal.
She hadn't given his answer a response, figuring that the unintentional upturn of her lips might have been enough given how Reo's eyes had lit up happily at her.
Akashi decided that she rather liked her teammates.

Midorima doesn't know wither to be scandalized or angry. It's been a several months since she's seen the tiny blunette and when she does finally see her face to face, she's with a severely poor, weak team with no extraordinary players. At her side glided a tall red head; loud and brash and stubborn. He comes up to her with a deceptive smile and writes his jersey number on her hand, behind her Takao is almost dying of laughter, and he just gives her a challenging smirk. She wrinkles her nose, how could have Kise have lost to this? Midorima thinks he suits Kuroko's taste, a repeat of the past, or a replacement. A small part of her compared him to Aomine. She dismissed it; this monkey could never reach her level of play. Never even hope to reach her level, Kuroko should know that. It's sad really, that Kuroko has placed her power and trust on such low standards.
And what does Kuroko do? Nothing but smile indulgently at Kagami's behavior. She looks at Midorima as if she should know that Seirin will beat Shutoku and that everything the large brute has said is correct. She can plainly see the faith Kuroko has placed on Kagami on Seirin. And she wants to argue that Kuroko used to have that same faith in Aomine and Teiko. What about them? Kuroko looks at her as if she was somehow disappointed. Like they'd done something wrong.
Midorima pushes her glasses up; she would remind Kuroko just who she was playing with, remind her of what they used to be. She would demonstrate to Kagami just how low he is on the totem pole of extraordinary players and how dare he think that just because they had their Phantom Sixth Man, they could have a hope of winning?
Ha. It was laughable at best and downright ignorant at its worst.

"Aww c'mon senpai! Come with me!" Kise whines loudly and she watches in satisfaction as Kasamatsu's ears begin to burn red from embarrassment. Everyone in the hall turns to stare at the duo and he looks like he wants nothing more than to sink into the floor and disappear. "It's pouring outside and my place is close by. You don't even have an umbrella and I do!" She reasoned, grabbing one of his arms and jutting her lips out in a pout with her eyes watered slightly.
Kasamatsu flinched at her look, "S-stop that!" he stuttered out, shoving his free hand into Kise's face, "Senpai! That's mean!" She whined further and he swore that he felt every boy and girl glare at him heatedly, obviously believing that Kise was about to cry. "A-Alright already! I'll go with you, just stop that face!" and in response the tears quickly dried and she gave him a face splitting grin, "Yay~ I get to walk home with Kasamatsu-senpai~" The blond cheered, grabbing his hand and dragging him towards the school gates.
"Oh look at those two, they're so cute…"
"Isn't that Kise Ryouta the model? She's really hot! Fuck, I'd kill to be under the same umbrella!"
Kise giggled as Kasamatsu face burned red at the various comments thrown their way as they walked down the rain soaked streets. His hand's grip tightening on the umbrella's handle, "Senpai you don't have to listen to them. People always make assumptions like that when they see me with any boy." She comforted, Kasamatsu glanced up at her, "Do people always do that when they see you walking?" He motioned to a group of teenagers who wolf whistled shamelessly as they walked passed them, his steel blue eyes narrowing as the bastards raked their eyes up and down Kise's slender figure.
"Sometimes, I don't really notice anymore." The blond replied tentatively, she vaguely remembers when she first started her modeling how uncomfortable she was with male attention. Seeing men (sometimes girls) openly ogling her used to scare her a bit, she would even put on disguises after her jobs so that she could walk down the street without someone gawking at her. She felt something warm lightly brush the hand on the umbrella handle, Kise glanced at her captain and noted how he resolutely looked ahead of him.
"Idiot, I'll walk home with you every day if you want. It's the same direction towards my house anyway." Kise stared for a few seconds before a warm smile stretched her face, her senpai was so sweet. The blond brushed one of her fingers into Kasamatsu's palm, feeling a warm flutter in her stomach when he didn't push away the contact.
"Thank you senpai."

Himuro is smiling up at her and she feels so tempted to close the door on his face, but she won't because Murasakibara has spotted the two large bags filled to the brim with treats that she's never seen before. She tells herself that they're the reason she doesn't close the door, those treats look really tasty. "Can I stay here the night Atsushi? Please?" He asks and looks up at her so hopefully and sweet that she wants to turn away from him. "Fine." She huffs out, stepping aside from the opening and allowing him to pass through into her dorm room, "You don't have a roommate?"
Himuro is looking at the empty top bunk and the sparse clutter of the room that wouldn't exist if there had been more than one person inhabiting the room. "Use too. She changed rooms after the school year started. No one else wanted to be my roommate." She was actually pretty happy about that, she's the only students in her year that has a room to herself and doesn't have to worry about another person invading her space. But Himuro has a muted look of horror on his face, did she say something bad? "You can use the bunk." She shrugs; she really shouldn't be surprised at her friend's reaction. Himuro is weird after all. "Thank you Atsushi. Does that mean this bunk is…always available?" A happy smile on his to happy face.
Her eye twitched, "Don't make me crush you." His lips pursed into a small pout at her threat. She watched as Himuro placed the two bags of snacks on her bed and toss his school blazer on the top bunk, seeing it draped casually over the usually empty bed almost seemed natural. Like it should always be there, "Why can't you sleep in your room anyway?" Not that she cared for the reason, she was just curious that's all. "Oh my roommate went to see his family for the weekend and I forgot my key inside the room after I locked up."
"Muro-chin in forgetful." She commented, walking over to one of her drawers and digging through it.
Himuro chuckled lightly, "I guess so-Hm?" He looked down at the white t-shirt that the tall center had thrown at him over her shoulder, "You don't have other cloths right? You can borrow that. It should fit, it's bigger than you." Murasakibara drawled, Himuro smiled (taking note that the t-shirt really was bigger than him, not by much thankfully. He still had his pride as a man)
"Thank you."

Haizaki waits until everyone has changed and left the locker room before she makes her way in. She smirked mischievously as she bundled the shirts in her hands and silently slinked down the row of lockers until she reaches the one she wanted. She grabbed the latch to pull it open, and another hand grabbed it the same time as she did. Both nearly scream and Haizaki whips around, "The hell Daiki!" She curses, the dark-skinned girl blinks at her before giving her a scowl. "What are you doing here?" Aomine questions suspiciously, ignoring the silverette's own inquiry.
She glanced down to the bundle in Aomine's hand and suddenly understands, "I think we both have the same idea." She smirked as the ace glanced at her bundle and gives her a sharp grin, "Looks like we do." Aomine opens the locker and they both shove the smelly shirts into the small space and closed it after a minute of arranging the pile of garments inside.
Unknown to the two, a pair of violet eyes were watching them. The owner said nothing though, it was way too much trouble if they found out she was watching them.
"Why does it smell so bad here?" Midorima grumbled, spraying the air freshener (her lucky item for the day) around the sweaty awful smell that perfumed only that area of the locker rooms. Murasakibara glances at her from her bag of crisps, "Oh, Mine-chin and Zaki-chin stuff they're dirty shirts in the bottom locker after practice." Aomine stops just before getting into the bespeckled girl's view and turns around and leaves quickly, hopefully Haizaki hasn't left yet and she could warn the other girl to scram before they're caught.
Midorima whips around at the sound of pounding feet running from the area.
"AOMINE!"
Thanks for your continued support!
