A/N: Mike will get what's coming to him. And Jess and the two other girls will too but it will take a while. I wanted to take a breather and just give Edward and Bella time to be together.

I have a response to an ANON reviewer, I tried to post it on the moderated review but it wouldn't let me so here it is. I'm not bitter. I'm not sure if you just didn't understand my author note but I said that good guys DO exist that they aren't unicorns or mermaids. It wasn't meant to be negative. Do yourself a favor and reread before you make assumptions and insulting reviews because I won't be so nice next time.

Sorry if I'm coming off harsh but this kind of stuff drives me banana pants aka crazy.

To everyone else that is respectful,

Much love :D

Chapter Song: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol

"What are you doing for Thanksgiving next week?" Edward asked Bella after their last day of school before the holiday break.

They didn't have to wait for him to finish practice because football season was over. They didn't make it into playoffs, but it didn't seem to bother Edward.

Bella shrugged as she wrote, Me and Charlie baked a honey ham and made sandwiches out of it to eat while he watches football. We'll probably do that again.

"Do you think he'd want to come to our house to celebrate? Tell him we have a projector for the game."

She mouthed, Where? Too surprised to write the word.

He smiled. "In the family room. Carlisle has a hiding spot."

Bella smiled as she wrote, I'll ask him and let you know.

He went straight to her house, which wasn't typical. They usually went do something together first.

She looked at him. He isn't home yet.

"Oh, right. I forgot."

She smiled at how anxious he seemed to be. She touched his hand so he'd look at her. He entwined them, rubbing his thumb against the side of hers. Can I show you something? She asked.

He looked at her, then nodded. She got out the car then directed him to drop her book sack at the front door before leading him to the back. They walked a little into the tree line before she stopped and bent to dig through the dead leaves. Edward tilted his head at her with a quizzical smile.

She stood up with something squared wrapped in a trash bags. She unveiled it slowly to show him a brown, worn leather book. A photo album. She handed it to him, seeming extremely nervous. He took it carefully, wondering why she would hid this. When he opened it, the mystery was solved. The album wasn't filled with photos, but news clippings.

The first one being about her parents accident. The second being of the trial. The third and biggest one being of her parents murder. Edward looked at her, she was looking at her feet so he continued. Page after page was filled of the killers rampage; the judge, the jury, even all the lawyers. He was on a mission and Bella was keeping an organized log of it. Edward went back to the third page and read through what she went through. There wasn't much detail, but it was enough that he realized for the first time how horrific it was for her. The last sentence had his hair raising. Through the nightmare, one small miracle happened. Isabella Swan survived because of a mother's love and protection.

"He knows that you were in there?" Edward asked.

Bella nodded.

"Did you tell them what happened?" Bella shook her head and made a writing motion.

Edward nodded, closing the book but still holding onto it. "Why do you have this?"

Bella shrugged, kicking at the ground.

Putting the book down where it was, he clasped his hands around her shoulders. "Why, Isabella?"

She frowned up at him, before pulling away to cover and bury the book again. She stumped back to the front of the house to get her bag, he trailed behind feeling both aggravated and worried. They stayed subdue until they were in the kitchen.

Edward rubbed his face with both of his hands. "Please tell me."

She sat down and got her notebook out. A notebook that seemed to be just to communicate with him since there wasn't even a margin filled with homework.

He waited for her to finish writing before he started to read.

It's all I have. I have no photos. I have nothing besides the few things Charlie or my MeMaw has given me. I was suppose to get much more, but Aunt Jane made sure that I didn't. Who was Aunt Jane? He saved that question for later. That man is looking for revenge, Edward. It took years to build that book. He's bided his time. And I'm what he wants. I just know it. I feel it in my bones. That was what the shudder that trailed through her body was for.

Turning her chair around, he faced her, looking deep into her eyes. "Have you showed Charlie this?"

She shook her head.

Edward frowned. "Why not?"

Bella shrugged.

"Don't you think he should know?"

She wrote, He already does.

This confused the hell out of him.

He doesn't know about my book, but he knows what the man is up to.

"How do you know?"

I've heard him talking on the phone when he didn't think I was around.

"Is that what started the book keeping?"

Bella shook her head as she twisted a hair that was hanging just above his eye.

He closed his eyes for a moment as he savored the feeling. "What did?"

My MeMaw gave me the book, but I found the news clipping myself. I just started and I've never stopped until he stopped.

"When did he stop?"

Last year.

That had Edward shuddering. How could someone kill dozens of people in cold blood?

Please don't tell anyone about my book.

Edward hung his head, feeling torn. But if Charlie already knew about what the man was doing, he'd only betray Bella's trust by telling. He looked up at her. "Okay."

Cross your heart, but DON'T hope to die.

Edward smiled, crossing his heart as she asked. "Cross my heart. I promise, your secret's safe with me."

She smiled a little.

"Can I kiss you?" He asked because for the first time in the weeks they'd been together, he wasn't sure if she wanted him to.

She touched his neck, which was a place she usually didn't. She normally kept her hands on his face or hair. He shivered as his heart raced. Her soft fingers traveled along the column of his neck to his collar bone, then traveled back up his adam's apple. Her innocent, exploring touches gave him the most pleasure he'd ever felt.

He didn't move a muscle as her hands went back down and slid under his shirt collar. They eyes stayed locked as she found the curve of his pecks. As her hands came out of his shirt, they paused as she nodded.

His mouths was on hers in a nanosecond. He felt such uncontrollable need for her. Not just to of the...sexual sense, though that was a big factor. He just needed her. Wanted anything she'd give him while he'd laid himself down for her to take whatever she needed. He'd never felt so intensely about anything before and at first felt like a nut case but had slowly accepted that he'd always be this way when it came to her.

Charlie coming home just at the wrong time, had them breaking from one another. He took her hands and held them though, looking into her eyes that could sustain him for days.

Charlie came in, taking both of them in, but not looking nearly as hostile anymore. He hadn't necessary warmed to them being together but Edward would take whatever he could.

When Charlie went into the living room, Edward leaned to whisper, "I'll go so you can ask him about Thanksgiving dinner?" in her ear with a soft kiss to her temple.

She nodded, standing to walk him outside.

When they got to his car, he turned and pulled her in a hug. They stayed like that for a while as he just took her in. Her smell, her softness, her warmth. "Text me later, okay?"

She nodded against his chest as she snuggled her face in closer. He smiled as he leaned his face against the top of her head for a moment. He lifted her face up gently with a hooked finger to her chin to kiss her. Her mouth was ready and opened the minute his touched hers. He chuckled before fire took hold of him. Tracing his tongue to her lips, he captured her bottom lip and tugged it into his mouth. She gasped and touched his face as she leaned closer. He grinned against her mouth as he let her lip free before kissing her until he couldn't remember where he was.

She pulled away first, breathing heavily as her trembling hands held onto his shoulders for dear life.

When he left he watched her through the mirrors as she watched him leave with her hand against her heart in an unconscious way.

He was just about to get home when he got her text. Charlie said okay.

A huge smile stretched his face as he waited until he parked to send her. Awesome! See you tomorrow.

:) Sweet dreams. was her response.

He'd no doubt would since all he dreamt about was her lately. You too.
