Author's Note:

First off I want to apologize deeply for my lack of motivation in writing this and my other stories. While it is true that there are many reasons / excuses I could use to justify this (one being I lost my DVD in a move :c) the main thing is I really just wasn't feeling it too much. BUT! I'm back and I hope you guys will take me back.

Next on my agenda is to thank all of the people who have been reading. Following, favorite-ing and of course my personal favorite reviewing. I love communicating with you guys (: so a special thanks to:

Once again I am very sorry and hope you will all forgive me (:

As Dr. Grant started to exit the moving vehicle. Ian began speaking again on the matters of his favorite subject: chaos. "There. Look at this. See? I'm right again. Nobody could predict that Dr. Grant would suddenly jump out of a moving vehicle."

However, Ellie did not seem as surprised though and crawled over the seat and jumped out herself. Alyssa laughed and followed suit, she knew it was only a matter of seconds before Ian joined them.

"And there's another example." Dr. Malcolm chuckled, "See, here I am now by myself, talking to myself. That's Chaos Theory."

Alyssa waited a few steps away from the tracks. The cars came to a halt and then Ian exited the car and was reunited with the woman that he brought on this trip.

"You abandoned me." Ian acted like the he was really hurt by her actions.

"I waited on you though." She smiled brightly and tilted her head to the side, batting her eyelashes for forgiveness.

"I guess there is that." Ian tried not to smile and grabbed the girls hand and they started towards the couple that had abandoned them and not waited.

By the time they had reached Alan and Ellie, so had the Donald, Tim and Lex.

"Like I said, there's this other book by a guy named Bakker and he says dinosaurs died from diseases. He didn't say they turned into birds." Tim was talking off his idol's ears off. Alyssa was not sure if anyone, but her had heard Ellie ask where they were going.

"Anyone else think we shouldn't be out here?" Of course the lawyer would ask that, but everyone trekked on ignoring his obvious reservations about the idea of walking into a dinosaur's home.

"And his book was a lot fatter than yours. Like this." Tim continued on showing the man with his fingers the difference in size.

"Really?" Dr. Grant was trying to act like he was concerned with the boy's thoughts.

"Yours was fully illustrated." Lex defended.

Moments later she tripped and fell to the ground, bringing the group to a quick halt. Alan bent down to rescue her, "You okay?" As soon as she was back up again Tim was already starting, "Look at this. Wait. Watch. Come on. Watch this!" Alan was busy trying to pry his hand from Lex, but she just smiled at him and continued to keep his grip on his hand.

Alyssa smiled watching the spectacle. She couldn't see, but Ellie was smiling at him too.

Alan who was leading the group held his arm out to bring the kids to a stop, "Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Everybody stay here." He began approaching something that was groaning. Alyssa could not quite make out what it is.

Whatever it was that Alan was trying to shield them from, Tim was not having it. He pushed his way through Ellie and Lex and started though the tall grass.

"Wow." Was all the talkative boy could muster up when he saw what Dr. Grant was doing.

Alyssa looked at Ian, "I can't see." She huffed; Ian chuckled and lead the girl forward.

Alan looked at Hammond's employee, "Okay?" He was inquiring about the well being of the dinosaur that was lying on the ground groaning.

"Of course." The man assured him, he then turned to the people who were standing on the sidelines, "Don't be scared. Come on, it's okay. Muldoon tranquilized her for me."

Alyssa frowned as she dragged Ian towards the suffering animal, but she could not help, but feel incredibly so excited to be coming this close to a creature that was not supposed to be on the face of this Earth anymore besides fossilized bones.

Alan turned to Ellie, "She's sick."

Ellie approached it, with the look of nothing, but utter amazement on her face, "Oh my god." She laughed as they both bent down to touch the creatures face, "Hey baby."

"She was always my favorite when I was a kid and now I see she's the most beautiful thing I ever saw." Alan marveled.

"It's ok." Ellie talked sweetly to the dinosaur as she started touching the creature's tongue., "Microvesicles. That's interesting."

Gerry (the employee that had previously talked them into coming over) bent down and handed Ellie something.

"Thanks. What are her symptoms?"

"Imbalance, disorientation, labored breathing." Gerry listed the symptoms for her, "It seems to happen every six weeks or so."

"Six weeks."

Ellie continued talking to Gerry, and examining the creature.

Alyssa smiled and circled it. She hated to disagree with Ian, but this was nothing short of insanely awesome, and it didn't seem very chaotic. She smiled remembering how enamored with dinosaurs she used to be as a child, of course she was not quite as obsessed as Tim was and she had obviously grown out of it unlike Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler. However, looking at the Triceratops (or at least that's what she thought it was) really made the fascination spark again.

She looked up at Ian, her green eyes wide with excitement, " I think you might have been wrong." She said it quietly so no one, but him could hear her doubting him for the first time.

Ian smiled a little bit, "The night is still quite young, dear."

Alyssa only started to pay attention to what was going on around her, when Ellie popped up, "I'd have to see the dinosaur's droppings."

Ian scratched his head, "Dino droppings? Droppings?"

Ellie just nodded and walked away.

A/N: Yeah I know two in one chapter is a little obsessive, but I just wanted to say that I know that this chapter was a little on the boring side, but next chapter will be the one that I really really want to write and much more exciting. Thanks for bearing with me (: Ooh and quick question. Beta readers? Does anyone know how that happens :"3 I'm kind of embarrassed to ask especially since this might be common knowledge.
