Hey! I hope you all enjoyed "A Garmadon Family Christmas"! This is a sequel that will only have about 3 chapters ... but it takes place a day after where I left off. Please enjoy! Merry Christmas, and happy new year!

(Hey again. I'm back a week later. This is now a oneshot since tomorrow is New Year's Eve XD it takes place New Year's Eve cause... yeah)

1: New Years'

Laurence Garmadon was laying on his bed with his kitten Alejandra. His twin brother Lloyd was in the room as well, but he was playing with a gaming console he got for Christmas.

"Hey, Laur?" Lloyd looked over at his raven-haired twin. "Hmm?" Laurence looked over. "Wanna battle on Pokémon?" Lloyd smirked mischievously. "Not right now." Laurence sighed. "Aww, come on and have some fun," Lloyd walked over to his brother.

"What's wrong?" "Nothing." Laurence replied. "Mhmm, sure." Lloyd smirked at his twin. Laurence sighed. "Please take Alejandra. I gotta see Jaylynn about something." Laurence said. Lloyd looked at his twin confused, but took the cat.

Laurence got his crutches and left to find Jaylynn.

Meanwhile, River Jolt was talking with Misako and Garmadon. "So, I will assume you like Laurence." Misako said. River nodded. "I know we are fugitives. I'll do anything to be with him." She replied. "Anything?" Garmadon smirked slightly. River nodded again. "Would you give up being a pirate thief?" He asked. River nodded. "Well, he's yours." Misako smiled. "When ye said ye had to speak with me, I was honestly scared." She laughed slightly. "We trust you. Trust us." Garmadon said. River smiled and left to find Nancy to help her change her look.

(In Jaylynn's room...)

"Nathanial, do you wanna stay with me?" Jaylynn asked. "For now." Nathanial replied, while he was drawing something. "For... for now? What do you mean for now?" Jaylynn asked, scooting closer to her 7-year-old son. "Well, I love papady," Nathan began. Papady is what he often called his father, Riley. It was a combination of papa and daddy. "And I have friends in England. Besides, you have your family to keep you company." Nathan began to carelessly scribble with a blue crayon on his paper. "But Nathan, you are my family." Jaylynn stated. "Well, Riley needs me more than you do." Nathan placed his blue crayon aside and grabbed an orange one. "Nathan, don't be disrespectful. You are not to call your father by his first name." Jaylynn scolded. "But Jaylynn..." he began. "Nathanial Edward Christopher Henderson... do not dare call your mother by her first name..." Jaylynn scolded.

"Mother. Mother?! Who are you to call yourself my mother?! Where have you been all my life?! Huh?!" Nathan faced his mother, with a fire in his eyes. "Who am I to call myself your mother?! The one who went through pain and agony carrying you in my womb for 9 months! The person who has tried her hardest to keep in touch with you! The person who gave birth to you in a RENTAL CAR!" They both stood there staring at each other furiously. "I WAS going to give this picture to you, but I guess I won't now." Nathan took his paper and crumbled it. He threw it at Jaylynn's face. "Nathanial Henderson... you are grounded!" Jaylynn shouted. "Fine!" Nathan stormed out of the room. "Fine!" Jaylynn slammed her door shut then collapsed on her bed crying.

(Living room)

"So, is anyone coming for New Years?" Nancy asked Garmadon. "I didn't invite anyone. You're welcome to, though." He replied. Nancy began to comb River's hair. "Well, what about Ri-" Nathan suddenly ran past them in tears. He grabbed his guitar and ran out the front door. "Nathan?" The trio all asked at once.

"Should one of us get him?" River asked. "Um..." Garmadon hesitated. "I can." Someone said. Before they could see who volunteered, they saw a flash of green and black out the front door.

"Okay... well, that happened," Nancy awkwardly said. "Anyway, I was gonna say we could have Riley over. And maybe Samaria." Nancy suggested. "About that," Said another voice. They turned and saw Misako. "Samaria called us and asked if we'd like to come to the restaurant to spend New Years with her." "Um okay." Nancy shrugged her shoulder. "Ok!" River smiled. "I guess so." Garmadon muttered. "Great! I'll let her know." Misako left to call Samaria.

(Outside)

Nathan was running down the snowy street. He hoped nobody would follow him. "Nathan!" Called someone. He ignored it and kept running. "Nathanial!" Called the voice again. Nathan stopped running and turned around. He didn't care that he was in the middle of the road.

"What." Nathan stated sharply. "Why are you running?" Asked Morro. "My mum..." was all Nathan said. "Well, wanna come to the sidewalk with me and talk about it?" Morro asked, now on the sidewalk. "No." Nathan replied. "Nathan, pleas- get out of the road, now..." Morro Said. "You can't boss me around!" Nathan Shouted. "There's a car coming!" Morro Called.

Nathan didn't have time to think as the speeding car came charging towards him. Suddenly, someone (not Morro, cause he apparently was to scared to save Nathan) jumped in front of the car and shoved Nathan away before the car could hit him. The anonymous person was hit instead.

The car sped away. "Oh my god, are you ok?" Morro began. The person wasn't in the road. Nathan got up. "Where..." "Im fine." Said a voice. "I'm the master of amber. not like I didn't prepare for this. I absorbed the element of speed, invisibly, and other stuff and I'm like totes ok." Said a voice.

A few feet away stood a boy with pink hair and blue highlights. "Um... thanks for saving my life, i guess..." Nathan hesitantly Said. "No problem. Btw, I'm Carter Chen! Nice to meet you... stay out of the road and happy new year!" Carter left as quickly as he had arrived.

"Nathanial, what were you thinking?!" Morro Shouted. Nathan sighed. "I was THINKING that I wanna go home. So I stole Jaylynn's wallet when I ran out of her room and I was gonna go home." Nathan admitted. Morro took Nathan to the sidewalk and they sat.

"What's going on? This isn't like you." Morro said. "I... I know. It's just that this year has been really hard for me. And I just met Jaylynn for the first time in my life a few weeks ago. I... I dunno. And now I just feel like there's no point in this life..." Nathan sighed and wiped his tears. "Its... that's no excuse to take your mothers money and run away, and it's certainly no excuse to talk back to adults..." Morro explained. Nathan burst into tears and hugged Morro. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I just... I can't take anymore. I wanna go home. I want my dad..." Nathan sobbed. Morro hugged Nathan in return. "It'll be ok. Besides, the new year is in a few hours. We've got 10 hours left of the day. How about you and I make these last 10 hours of 2017 the best 10 hours of the year. Ok? Then we can forget all of this, and I won't tell your mother. Deal?" Morro Asked. Nathan didn't reply at first. He eventually pulled away from their hug and gave an enthusiastic nod. Morro gave him a compassionate smile, then the duo headed back to the house.

(Jaylynn's room)

Jaylynn was still sobbing into her pillow. She curled into a ball under her covers and tried to stifle her cries. Then there was a knock on the door. "G...go away." She muttered. "Not gonna happen." Laurence opened the door and came in.

"Lynn, are you ok?" He asked. "Y..yes. I'm ok." Jaylynn whispered. "No you aren't. Come out from under your blankets." Laurence said. Jaylynn sighed and sat up. "Good. Now, what's wrong?" Laurence asked. "I'm a terrible mother." She hugged her little brother. "I... um... no you aren't. You're a wonderful mother. Nate loves you." Laurence stated. "No. I yelled at him. He said I was never there... and that I have no place to call him son." Jaylynn whispered. "Awe, Jaylynn... that isn't true. He's only 7. He hardly understands that the reason you can't be with him all the time is for custody purposes. Don't listen to him." Laurence replied. "But-" "Jaylynn," Laurence put his hands on his older sisters shoulders. "You are an amazing person. You are loved, you are needed, you are light. Don't let the words of a non understanding 7-year-old make you think otherwise." "Thank you little bro." She hugged him. "No problem. Now get dressed. We are going to some restaurant soon." Laurence said.

"Okay. Oh, and what did you need? Like... when you knocked at the door?" She asked. "Oh, duh, I was gonna ask you how... how did you do it?" Jaylynn gave him a confused look. "Do what?" "When you were evil and you were arrested. How did you deal with the guilt? I mean, I'm technically supposed to just be getting out of prison, but since I broke out... I'm a fugitive still." Laurence explained. "Oh, well don't forget that I was cursed. That's the only reason I did what I did." She shrugged her shoulders. "Please, we both know the curse wasn't the only reason." Laurence rolled his eyes. "Okay, there were also boys and childhood traumas involved... anyway, to deal with the guilt I put my focus on what I was looking forward to in the future then thought of that one thing and it made the guilt disappear. If that didn't work, I'd apologize for whatever I did, then face the consequences." Jaylynn explained. "Oh... ok. Thanks." Laurence left the room.

"Wait, Laur?" "Yeah?" "I... I love you. Thanks for the support." "No problem, sis."

(Dining room)

"So... What do you think of River?" Nancy asked Misako. River was wearing a new pair of glasses, a gold and red dress, and gold flats. Her hair was combed and styled. "She's beautiful." Misako Replied. "Thanks. I know, my little canvas was so good." Nancy pinched one of Rivers cheeks. "Anyway, are you girls ready to go?" Misako asked. They both nodded. "Good. We can meet the others there." They left for Samarias restaurant.

(A few hours later at samarias place)

"Hey! So glad you could make it." Samaria Grant greeted everyone. "Hello!" They all walked in. "Can I get you anything?" Samaria asked. "Um... no. I'm fine." Jaylynn replied. "Nope." River stated. Pretty much everyone politely turned down the offer. "Okay then..."

They all sat at a table. "So, how about Since we have a few hours left until New Years, we tell each other the biggest secret we have had this year." Samaria suggested. "You're such a girl." Morro Said, Walking through the door. "Morro!" The two siblings exchanged hugs.

"Now, secrets?" Samaria asked. "Ok! I can go first," Nancy said. "Since the secret that I'm married is already out, I guess my secret is that I've been craving candy lately, now more than ever. So I... I have nothing against candy." There was a gasp from everyone. "Really?" Lloyd asked. Nancy nodded. "Wait, why are you craving?" Jaylynn asked. "I can't tell two secrets." Nancy rolled her eyes. "Gasp! I know it! I won't say." Morro smirked. "How rude!" Jaylynn elbowed him. "Yeah, you better not tell. You're lucky I was drunk and told you on Christmas. Now someone else go." Nancy said.

"Okay, um I'll go," Misako volunteered. "My secret is that I really don't want Morro and Jaylynn to get married." Misako said. Once again, there was another gasp from everyone. "Why?! Mom, you said you support us fully!" Jaylynn said. "Well, Yeah. But you getting married means you'll leave me." Misako said. "Heyo, I'm your married 37 year old kid and I still live with ya." Nancy added. "Cause you don't have a life." Garmadon stated. Nancy's jaw dropped at her fathers cruel statement, but she said nothing.

"Okay, I'm next," River Said. "My secret is that I play the violin." River sighed. "You do?!" They all asked at once. "Yep." She smiled. "Wow! Could you later? I have one in Morros old room." Samaria suggested. "Yeah, I sure can, mate." She winked.

"Okay, I'll go next," Morro volunteered. "My secret is... well, specifically for Jaylynn, actually." Jaylynn looked at him a bit confused. "What do you mean specifically for me?" She asked. "Well, remember when we were younger and you and Winnifrenn were always fighting over me?" Morro Asked. Jaylynn nodded. "I... I was always gonna choose you." He smiled. "Really?" She asked. He nodded. They hugged.

"Um... okay? I'm next!" Jaylynn said. "My secret... is that... I... don't have a secret." Jaylynn said. Everyone was confused. "Wait, how can your secret be that you don't have a secret? That doesn't make sense." Laurence asked. "Well, you know how I always have something that I'm not telling you? Or... something to hide?" Jaylynn asked. "Uhh... yeah." Lloyd nodded. "Well, now I don't." Jaylynn smiled. There was another moment of silence before everyone realized what Jaylynn was trying to say.

"Ok, that makes sense now. I'll go," Laurence said. "My secret is that I never meant to get arrested when I did, and I never wanted to break out either. I just wanted attention because everyone was worried about Lloyd. Though, my injury was accidental and not meant for attention." Laurence explained. "Laur, if you thought we were too worried about Lloyd and ignoring you, you could've said so. But then again, you WERE a little brat... you were terrible, but you have matured a lot this month." Nancy said. Laurence smiled. "Thanks."

"Now, in relation to what Laurence said, I have something to say as well," Garmadon spoke up. "Laurence and River, January 3rd you're going back." "WHAT?!" They Both Shouted. "Why?! Ye can't do this!" River Shouted. "Dad, how could you?!" Laurence Shouted. "It's only for a few weeks. River, you had 3 weeks left and Laurence, you had 3 weeks in the first place. It'll be fine. Besides, afterwards, you can come back with us. And they're putting you together." Garmadon explained. "I'm confused. Back to where?" Samaria asked. "Prison." Both River and Laurence miserably replied. "Oh..."

"I'll go. My secret is that... I don't really love Kristina Lambenhizen..." Lloyd blurted Out.

Suddenly, a girl about Rivers age with long brown hair and a long, strapless pink glittery dress walked in. "Hello, people!" She greeted. "K..kris?" Lloyd stammered. "Heya, Lloyd!" The girl replied. It was Kristina Lambenhizen, Lloyd's celebrity girlfriend. "Ooh, you gonna tell her?" Jaylynn smirked. "Shut up, Lynn. And if any of you tell her, you're dead." Lloyd whispered, before walking up to Kristina. "Is something wrong? I saw that you were here and wanted to spend New Year's Eve with you..." she began. "No, no... it's ok." Lloyd smiled. "Great!" She kissed him lightly on the cheek. "I'll... get beverages. Morro, help? Now's the time to prove what I taught you when you were younger really stuck." Samaria walked into the back room of the restaurant, which they all guessed was where the kitchen was. "Um... okay..." Morro quickly followed his older sister.

"While they're doing that, what time is it?" River asked. "Um... is 10:30 p.m." Misako replied. "Yay! An hour and a half to go!" They all cheered.

They didn't even take notice that Nathanial was sitting in the corner of the room hugging his guitar in a peaceful sleep. (There was no point in adding that. I just wanted to be clear that Nathan was still alive XD)

"I'm back!" Samaria emerged from the kitchen with a tray. "Wine or Punch, it's all on the tray." She set the tray down on the table. "Crimson colored Red is wine, the more orange red is Punch." Samaria Said, before disappearing into the kitchen again. Everyone but Jaylynn, Nancy, and Lloyd got wine.

WARNING: It is currently 1:00 a.m New Years Eve. Please forgive me for any weird events that may occur for the rest of the chapter. And also, forgive the random capital letters on words. It's autocorrect.

It was now 11:30 p.m. Everyone was feeling either drowsy, or hyper. "When's it gonna be New Years?! When?! Now?! How about now?!" Laurence asked. "No, mate. We've got 30 minutes yet until 2018." River states, yawning. Samaria stood next to Misako and Garmadon, whom were feeling completely fine after their wine. "I'm beginning to think allowing the kids to have wine was a big mistake." Samaria whispered. "Agreed. Though, I honestly don't blame you." Garmadon replied. "Yeah, and I never knew someone could be so hyper from wine..." Misako whispered. "Ha, Yeah." Samaria smiled.

"Wait, it just occurred to me that Samaria never told us her secret." Jaylynn stood. "You're right. Sama, tell us. Pleeeeeaaaassseeee?" Morro stumbled and fell onto Samaria. "Morro, take a chill pill." She shoved him aside. "Ok, I'll tell you all, as soon as Kristina and River get over here." Samaria glared at the two teenage girls.

There were 10 minutes till midnight. "Okay... I... um... am pregnant." Samaria smiled. "You are?!" They all Asked at once. "Yeah. My husband was a firefighter and he... he died, so..." she sighed. "Samaria, I'm sorry... but also congratulations... I dunno right now." Lloyd said. "Thanks for... both of those. Heh." She sighed again. "It'll be ok. We can help you." Misako smiled.

"GUYS! THERES LIKE 7 MINUTES TILL MIDNIGHT AND YEAH!" Kristina randomly shouted. "Ok, I think you had too much red wine." Lloyd backed away from Kristina. She walked towards Lloyd. "B-b-but Lloyd? You need to kiss me at midnight." She grabbed his shirt and yanked him towards her. "Please?" She asked. "Okay." He gave in, only because he wanted to get away from the smell of wine in her breath.

"So... who wants to be cheesy and kiss at midnight?" Jaylynn asked. "My husband isn't here, so no." Nancy whispered. "I will!" Morro grabbed Jaylynn's hand. "Heh heh... I might. But I also have a plan to discuss with Laurence." River smirked evilly and dragged Laurence elsewhere. "YAS!" Kristina jumped up excitedly. Misako and Garmadon said nothing.

"Guys, last minute of 2017." Morro Said. "Oh, I'll wake Nathan." Jaylynn ran to where Nathan was sleeping and gently woke him. Nathan ran to Morro and hugged him.

They counted down till...

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" They all Shouted. Kristina pulled Lloyd into a compassionate kiss. Lloyd had no choice but to kiss back. Jaylynn and Morro quickly kissed, not wanting Nathan to experience too much kissing in one night.

River and Laurence stealthily snuck behind Lloyd and shouted, "EW, YOURE IN LOOOVVVEE!" Both Lloyd and Kristina jumped up. "You guys, why?" Lloyd asked. "Revenge." River smirked. "You ruined our first kiss with that very phrase. You're welcome." Laurence smirked. "Lloyd, tell them how rude they are to ruin our first kiss!" Kristina demanded. "Actually, Kris... I have to tell you something. And I should've told you a long time ago." Lloyd sighed, then looked at his family. They nodded at him. "I... I like you, like as a friend. But... I don't like you as in..." Lloyd began. "You don't love me, do you?" She asked. "I... I don't." He sighed. "Oh. Ok. I see how it is. Uh... ok," a tear fell down her cheek, but she wiped it away. "Um... happy new year, Lloyd. I hope you're happy now." She walked away.

As soon as Kristina left, Lloyd sighed of relief then sat alone at a table. Misako and Samaria walked up to Lloyd. "Hey, it'll be ok." Samaria whispered. "I know that, but... she's still my friend. Things will be different now..." Lloyd silently cried. "It's ok, I know breakups are hard." Misako soothed. "It's not the breakup that worries me. It's Laurence and River." Lloyd said. "Us? Why are you worried about us?" Laurence asked. "Because... I don't want you two to end up how I did. Being best friends, then the friendship being ruined by a relationship." Lloyd explained. "Oh, well don't worry about us. It's 2018. New Years! Enjoy it!" Laurence extended his hand to his brother. Lloyd took it, and they ran off to do whatever brothers do.

"Well, it's a new year. Let's make the best of it." Morro Said to Nathan. "Yep." Nathan smiled.

"Happy new year." Everyone said, once more.
