"Your destined partner is… lo and behold…" The mechanical voice said.
Robin watched as the spotlights continued to shine onto her allies. After what seemed like an eternity, the lights had finally focused on one particular Smasher. As it did so, loud cheering could be heard.
Pit's eyes lit up as he jumped in joy.
"Yes, I won!" He cheered. His smile vanished when he then realized what had just happened. "Wait, what am I sayinggggg!"
That was the sound of Pit after he and Robin fell through a trap door each, dropping them below.

After falling through the trap door, Robin and Pit had soon hit the bottom with a loud thud, blacking out instantly. It wasn't until a few minutes later that they had soon came to. The two groaned before sitting up.
"Ouch… That hurt…" Pit groaned.
"Pit, are you okay?" Robin weakly asked.
"I guess. I mean the fall could had been worse right?" Pit said, scratching the back of his head.
The two then slowly made their way to their feet. It was then the two of them had quickly realized something really important. They were holding hands.
"O-Oh, our hands!" Pit gaped.
"O-Oh!" Robin exclaimed. "I am sorry! Allow me!"
She then tried to let go of Pit's hand. However, after a bit of pulling, the two had quickly noticed they were unable to take their hands apart.
"H-Hey! I can't let go! What is going on here!?" Pit roared.
"It seems that you had reached your destination." The mechanical voice from earlier spoke.
"Hey, it's you!" Pit said before narrowing his eyes. "Where had you taken us and what had you done with our hands!?"
"This seems to be a path where lovers who met their destined partners discuss their love for each other." The mechanical voice pointed out.
It was then Robin and Pit had finally took the chance to look around the area they had been dropped in. They seemed to be on a path in a beautiful meadow that had flowers everywhere. Looking up at the sky, it was a bright blue with a few clouds and even a rainbow. It was just like the fairytale version of heaven.
"What could be waiting up ahead?" The mechanical voice asked. "You are free to step forth hand-in-hand, curiosity and fear in your hearts, or you can refrain."
"So you WERE the ones who stuck our hands together!" Pit snapped. "I demand that you released us at once!"
"You are free to step forth, or refrain from doing so." The mechanical voice explained. "These are your apparent options. Now step forth!"
"That is NOT a choice!" Pit roared. "You are forcing on for us!"
"...I don't think he is listening, Pit… Robin muttered.
"I know…" The angel frowned, hanging his head. He then sighed. "Hold on, just let me try to contact Lady Palutena…"
With that, he took in a deep breath.
"Lady Palutena, are you there?" Pit said. "That voice had dropped us in some kind of meadow. And he had stuck our hands together, hindering us if we run into one of those monsters."
However, there was no response.
"Um, Lady Palutena?" Pit asked, not liking where this was going.
Again, no response. He then groaned.
"I don't believe it! This place is even blocking Lady Palutena's telepathy!" Pit muttered.
Robin's eyes widened. "What? What is up with this place?"
"I don't know…" Pit frowned. "But unless we find a way to get separated before any of those monsters find us, we would be finished…"
"Agreed. It would be impossible to do anything like this." Robin noted.
"Well, now what?" Pit asked. "We can't just stay here but we don't even know where to go."
Robin paused for a moment. "We could go down this path."
Pit's eyes widened at this. "What!? But isn't this the path that voice wanted us to go on?"
"It is." Robin said. "But unfortunately, there is no other paths we could take. We have to take a chance and go down this path.
Pit frowned. "I guess… But what if we run into those monsters?"
"We then have no choice but to run." Robin shrugged.
"True…" Pit sighed. He then brightened up. "But hey, I am sure that we will find the others."
"Agreed." Robin smiled. "All we have to do a keep a cool head and be positive."
"Right!" Pit nodded. "Come on! The others must be already looking for us for we have to find them!"
The two then made their way down the path, hand-in-hand. They had walked on for five minutes before a certain voice had decided to make themselves known.
"Suddenly, all in attendance hear an announcement."
"You!" Pit cried before narrowing his eyes. "What evil schemes are you up to now!?"
"Up ahead, they see a bride and groom's joyous commemorative photograph of love." The mechanical voice explained.
The two then looked ahead at their path and just as the voice said, there seemed to be some kind of large picture with roses all over the frame.
"They confer between them whether to look at it, or ignore it." The mechanical voice said.
Pit paused for a moment. "What is that guy trying to accomplish? Well, I don't see what is wrong with looking at a picture. Come on, let's go see it."
With that, the two had made their way over to the picture to inspect it. However, their eyes had bugged out when they saw the picture was of a white-clad prince that was holding a woman in a wedding dress, bridal-style. Clearly a wedding photo.
But what really caught their attention was that the groom's head was Shulk's and the bride's head was Pit's.
"WHAT!?" Pit exclaimed. "Why does this picture exist!? I had never wore a suit before! Plus, I can't get married! I am Palutena's loyal servant! I don't have TIME to settle down!"
"Calm down, Pit!" Robin reassured. "I believe it is a fake!"
The angel looked at Robin. "R-Really?"
"Yes, take a look at our faces." The tactician pointed out. "It doesn't match up with our bodies. It is obviously a fake."
"A fake?" Pit asked, surprised. "A fake… Thank goodness. For a moment there, I doubt they had ruined the angel code of conduct."
"Oh yes. Always be prepared for anything so basically you tried not to be caught with your pants down." Robin noted.
"That's right!" Pit smiled.
"Well, to take your job so serious that you don't even change your clothes… Ever." Robin mused. "I don't know if I should admire your determination or be disgusted by your lack of cleanliness."
Pit's smile vanished. "Hey! I DO bathe!"
"Still, to bathe while wearing your clothes?" Robin asked, flatly.
"Like I said, it is to be ready for anything!" Pit insisted. "I take my job quite seriously."
"Yeah, about that." Robin chuckled. "I must say that I admire your loyalty to Palutena. It reminds me of Frederick."
Pit's eyes lit up. "Ooh! He must be a great guy!"
"He is." Robin smiled. "From the day we first met, Frederick had always been proven to be an extremely devoted man to Chrom. Not only does he acts like his bodyguard but he has almost do his chores from him."
Pit blinked twice. "Wow, that IS devoted. I wish that I could meet him sometime."
"Yes, same here." Robin said. "I mean I am sure that most people would love to meet an angel close-up."
"And I had always wanted to what it is like to stop destiny!" Pit smiled.
"Well, truth be told, if people are strong in terms of skill and will, anyone could stop their so-called destiny." Robin explained. "Nothing about the future is written!"
Pit's eyes lit up. "Robin?"
The white-haired woman raised an eyebrow. "Yes, Pit?"
"Please! I HAVE to use that line sometime!" The winged man begged. "Can I?"
Robin blinked twice. "Um, alright. Just as long as you don't just say it just to sound impressive."
"I won't! I promise!" Pit grinned. "Thank you!"
Robin gave a nervous chuckle. "Well, as long as we are keeping positive. Come on, I think we had spent enough time on this picture."
The two then continued down the path while passing the picture and admired the lovely scenery in front of them. They had walked on for another five minutes, wondering how long was this path went on.
"Say, Robin… I know that this is not the best time to be talking about this but there had been something that had been bothering me ever since we had been dropped." Pit spoke up.
The white-haired woman raised an eyebrow. "And that is, Pit?"
The angel then took in a deep breath. "Well, it is about this whole "destined partner" thing. Do you really think it is real?"
Robin jumped at this. "What? Of course not! I don't know why that person thought we would be the perfect match but it isn't true just because he says so."
"A-Are you sure? I mean what happens if we ARE destined for each other?" Pit asked. "All of my time was serving Lady Palutena. If my love is a human, that means I would be forced to choose between you and Palutena!"
Robin's eyes widened. "Wait, what? That is ridiculous!"
"No, it isn't! You can't live with us! You are a human!" Pit exclaimed. "Which means I have to quit my job as Palutena's servant!"
Pit's pupils shrank.
"She may literally strip me of my status of an angel altogether!" Pit said.
"What, Pit." Robin said.
"What am I supposed to do?" The angel asked. "I have to find a job!"
"Pit." Robin said, raising her voice a bit.
"Then, I would worry about keeping a roof over our heads and getting food for us and…" Pit exclaimed.
It was then Robin had enough of Pit's ramblings and grabbed him by the shoulders before shaking him violently.
"PIT!" Robin roared. "Calm down… Take a deep breath. Even if, for argument's sake, we ARE destined partners, I strongly doubt that would affect your position as an angel."
"B-But I can't take you with me to Skyworld." Pit sputtered.
"You don't have to." Robin said. "Pit, if we really destined to be together forever, I am sure that Palutena would be far more understanding on the whole thing."
"R-Really?" The winged man asked.
"Of course. Surely, you had served her long enough for her not to lose you." Robin explained. "But again, that is IF this whole destined partner thing is real. Pit, you have NOTHING to worry over.
The brown-haired man breathed in and out for a moment. "I-I guess not… Listen, sorry about freaking out just now. I guess I never thought what will happen if I fell in love with anyone, let alone a human."
Robin raised an eyebrow. "You mean, you had never thought about falling in love?"
"Not really." Pit said, shaking his head. "I mean I don't really have the time. So that is why I was freaking out… I didn't really knew how to react…"
"Makes sense." Robin noted. "I mean, how is ANYONE suppose to react to something like this?"
Pit merely sighed. "Thanks, Robin. I am so glad that you are here with me."
"No problem. This is hard on me too." Robin reassured. "In any case, I don't think we have to worry anything. Come on, let's get out of here."
"Right." Pit nodded. "I think we had wasted enough time on this."
The two had continued their journey down their path that they had been on, ever since the start. After a few minutes, they had finally reached what they thought was their destination. A large, white church. It was then the mechanical voice spoke up.
"The long-awaited moment has come. The bride and groom are finally about to enter." The voice said. "The last moment of hesitation has arrived before you are to be wed."
Pit's eyes bugged out. "Bride and groom!? Wait, you are not even going to wait until we go on a date!? You are just marrying just like that!"
"Through your own free will, you decide to vow eternal love to each other." The mechanical voice said.
"W-Wait, please! I can't get married!" Pit cried out. "That would cause too many questions!"
"Now open the door together." The mechanical voice said.
Robin stared straight at the church doors intently. After a moment, she narrowed her eyes and used her free hand to open the door, shoving it open. Suddenly, "Here Comes The Bride" could be heard playing.
"HEY! W-What are you doing!?" Pit yelled. "Don't do something that may cause problems for the two of us!"
Robin didn't just walked inside of the church while dragging in her destined partner inside. Then, the doors had slowly started to close behind them as the two slowly watched down the aisle.
"You must vow your unwavering love for one another, in sickness and in health." The mechanical voice said. "Now, vow your love!"
Robin was about to say something.
Suddenly, there was a large slam of the doors. The two turned around to see their fellow Smashers rushing towards them before they had started to pant heavily. It was then the two's hands had finally become unstuck.
"Pit, what is the meaning of this?" Palutena asked, putting her hands on her hips. "Having an angel marry a human without my permission!"
The angel immediately shrank back. "I… I…"
"Do you think that just because I am a goddess, I could make a stairway to Skyworld?" Palutena demanded.
Pit blinked twice. "H-Huh?"
"If you going to marry a human, at least have me know!" Palutena scolded. "I would had love to have Robin as my tactician!"
Lucina's eyes widened at this. "Wait, what!?"
"Well, of course Robin will be my tactician! I couldn't had asked for a better one!" Palutena smiled.
"Excuse me!?" Lucina asked. "Pardon me but Robin fights with US!"
"Well, I can't just give up my most loyal servant just like that!" Palutena said, putting her hands on her hips. "There are rules in Skyworld but I am more than willing to break them to have her live on Skyworld."
"Well, you can't just break off the loyalty Robin has with my father!" Lucina roared.
"Can't I?" Palutena challenged. "I AM a goddess, after all!"
"What kind of goddess breaks people's bonds for their own selfish desires?" Lucina scolded.
Everyone blinked twice as they watched Lucina and Palutena argue.
"Well, it seems like you are right about me overreacting about causing problems…" Pit said.
"Maybe. I mean sure, you overreacted about Palutena banishing you to the mortal world." Robin said before wincing. "But you were right to assume that it would cause problems…"
It seems that the wedding has been called off…
