Meanwhile, as Akihiko was being guided by Shiho, Cagalli on the other hand, was bored inside her office. Her chin was resting on the back of her hand, her eyes were droopy, and her constant sighs were evident that she was indeed, bored. This Cagalli was the original one, the blonde haired ORB princess who was slapped by Kira, kissed by Athrun and cursed by Shinn. She was now in fact, aware that she's not the only being inside her body, but there were also two more. She decided to call them, White Cagalli and Black Cagalli. It was true that she doesn't remember anything whenever the other two occupies her consciousness. It doesn't seem to be a hindrance, since nobody has asked her anything that she doesn't remember. Besides, she knew that the Black Cagalli appeared only twice in her life. Once when she was a young girl and another time when she went to Akihiko's house. Only once did the White Cagalli appear but she isn't bothered since she wasn't bad.

Her thoughts were running in circles, not knowing what course of action to take. It was either let herself and the other versions of herself to perish or to look for a way to stop the evil inside of her without her dying. "What am I to do…?" She told herself, not really telling it to somebody, but hoping that the answer would just appear out of nowhere. She put her hand on her chest, it was painful. She clenched her hand as she endured that feeling of being connected with two others. That connection was so strong that it affects all three of them.

The pain subsided momentarily, white and black smoke started to transfigure into two separate figures. Her other selves appeared before her, and Cagalli jolting up was the proof that she was surprised. "You two… What are you guys doing? How did you…?"

"She insisted…" The white Cagalli responded to her as she turned her head towards the black Cagalli indicating that it was her idea to come out. "Well I want to see us separated from each other… Wow, seeing you two glaring at me is really nice…"

The two other Cagalli were looking at her with deadly eyes. "Oh come on, give me a break… We're all one and the same! Even if you tried to get rid of only me, that won't happen. It's either we all die, or we all survive."

"You're wrong! We will find a way! I won't let her die…"

A loud evil laugh was heard from Black Cagalli while trying to hold it since she thought of it as a joke. "Eradicate me without killing me? That's crazy! Impossible!" She kept on laughing, confident that she could without anyone bothering their conversation. She did cast a sound proof barrier around.

"What… are you planning? Is it really to just… dethrone me?"

"Well, you know… Human desires… My desire is the opposite of what you desire. Since your wish is to protect ORB and maybe the whole world, than mine is to destroy it. I will use my dark energy to control the necessary people to do so. The only way to stop me is if they kill you." She pointed at the original Cagalli, who was then taken aback. She flinched slightly as she growled like the lioness she is.

Noticing the white Cagalli's silence, the black figure then turned her head to her. "Why aren't you talking? You're her 'pure' self… The untainted one, am I right?" The white Cagalli was speechless but her head was down and her hands formed to a fist. "Those mobile suits won't even be finished. The moment I conquer the earth, they won't have any time to finish it."

The moment she said her last word, she turned to black air and went back inside the original. The white Cagalli looked at her counterpart and warned her. "There would an accident that will cause us harm. Be careful." At that, the white Cagalli vanished as well and went back inside her. Judging from the amount of energy used by her two counterparts, she fell on her chair sitting down, trying to catch her breath.

"An… accident, huh…" She sighed deeply, but was determined to look for a way to stop her. Whatever the price is, she will, even if it costs her her life. "I must… stop her at all costs."

Since then, Cagalli did nothing but research for way to destroy her. It took her weeks before she finally gave up. She was on her 7th week and she hasn't heard anything from Akihiko. She trusts him much anyway so she let it be. She was sitting at the cafeteria, utterly tired and didn't have the appetite to eat lunch. Her head was on the table, supported by her arms.

"Hey."

She ignored the person who talked. She knew though, that the voice belonged to someone familiar. Maybe she was daydreaming. It was a guy. Someone she knew but not exactly in good terms.

"Are you deaf?"

"What do you want?" Her voice was a bit muffled but it was coherent. She did not want to face him. Even if they did talk to each other when he was last in ORB, it still felt… awkward.

"Cagalli…"

The mention of her name made her jump from her seat. Was she dreaming? Is he really calling her by her first name?

"Shinn…" She stood there, frozen. The raven haired Coordinator was blushing. She giggled a bit. "I came here to talk. I wanted to have a chat because I have something important to say to you..." He was still blushing but his eyes were directed to her hazel eyes. She did not know how to respond but he took his hand and pulled him to her office.

"Sit." The first word she said as they arrived at her office and closed the door. The young Coordinator did as he was told and then was fidgeting. "Cagalli… you know that I was from ORB, right?"

"Of course." She answered him monotonously. Shinn then started to explain. "You see, it's been so long since I… I… I…"

Growing impatient, Cagalli raised a brow as she said, "….you..?"

"I… I… love you!"

All were speechless after Shinn's declaration. Cagalli was on the verge of laughing her ass out. Shinn was too embarrassed to talk. "Love…? That's fast…" She laughed in between words. Who would've thought that he would fall in love with her? Just after talking that one time gave him the idea to be infatuated to her? It was nonsense.

"Tell me, Shinn… How?" She asked him seriously, after her laughing somehow died down.

"It was a long time ago. I knew you since you always appear alongside you father. Interviews, Political business whatever… People would always say how independent you were though you were childish, and that you were so kind to other people. You would lose temper but that seems to be a part of you that's lovable. It seems weird but my old cellphone has a folder full of you pictures… They were all from—"

"You pervert!" She slapped Shinn across his face. It was so strong it's as if his face was skinned. It bore a very reddish color. It was becoming sore.
