Author's Update:
So those who have given this fic a passing fancy have likely wondered where in the world it went! It's a reasonable question and one that I will answer quickly, as to alleviate the tension that this unnecessary dialogue I am currently crafting is creating. Alas, being short on words is not my forte and therefore I will continue to ramble a little while longer. For instance, where did Crush go? I always liked Crush Cream Soda, but it seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Moreover, when did kids stop being born in the nineties? I daresay I feel old!
All that aside, the answer is simple: in using the general feel of The Value of His Heart, I actually wrote a real book that follows this plot! It is by no means a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction and though my main characters draw physical similarities, in the end, I chose Sora, Roxas and Kairi as protagonists because they fit the bill for what I like to see in primary rolls, as opposed to how they look. If you are interested in reading said book, by all means message me for the link or leave a comment to that degree and I will respond. I would post it here, but unfortunately is often subject (teehee, puns) to copyright infringement, and thus I must protect my works.
I apologise if you thought this was a new chapter! I would finish this fic, but it would feel like a copy of my book with different names, and that would do the epic universe of Kingdom Hearts no justice.
