Soulless Eyes
a/n: so… Thanks to a certain reviewer, I realized that it's time for me to tell you all again why Chichi is so disgusted with Bulma. Well, not disgusted. She genuinely hates and loves her at the same time. It's complicated *sweat drop*… Anyways, I may've rushed this chapter a bit. . I apologize for that. I realize I'm at the "Oh everything looks sweet and dandy like life is good but it isn't" stage of the story. Anyways, next time I'll respond to reviewers… :D Love you all though!
I do NOT own Dragonball/Z/GT. All rights go to Akira Toriyama.
Blood….. That warm, sanguine, and syrupy substance staining the floors also sullied her pajamas.
Blood….As it had spilled, the room had been submerged in a potent stench of rusting iron, enticing those who caused such to happen.
Blood… It's what those same rancorous fiends had thirsted after, slashing into her back.
And she could still feel it. Their teeth scrapping against her fragile body. The pressure they placed on her which busted her lips wide open as her head was being rammed into the hardwood floor. At first, there wasn't much pain; only shock. But once she saw the blood, that agonizing and thick blood that seeped into her eye since it had accumulated underneath her body, the shock disintegrated. That numb feeling disappeared and was replaced by terror and a throbbing, overwhelming pain. Each bite felt like jagged daggers, piercing her sensitive skin. Relentless, were the vampires who were ripping her apart bit by bit. She wanted to scream and cry out, "Daddy! Daddy!" But her mouth was muffled against the stained floors. Thus, she thrashed against it, desperately trying to break free from these vicious predators. Adrenaline urgently tried to course through her veins but there was barely any blood left in her body for such. All her efforts were for naught…. Someone help her! Please! Daddy! Daddy!
"Chichi!" Her father called out.
Her eyes blurted open, and she snapped up, only to be restrained by the central line tube entering her chest. Upon seeing this, Chichi glimpsed down at the thin paper gown she wore. She then glanced around, noticing the standard blue walls and curtains, medical equipment, and hundreds of blue hydrangeas in beautiful 'Get Well' bouquets. Sitting next to those flowers, was her father who held the most restless expression she had ever seen in all the 11 years of her life.
"Chichi, you were having a nightmare. Are you fine my child?" the Ox-King sincerely asked as he leaned in closer to her.
"I'm fine daddy," she whispered. The Ox-King let out a deep sigh as if a tremendous weight had been lifted from his shoulders. His eyes had heavy bags underneath them and his clothes were wrinkled as if he had been wearing the same outfit for days. Not to mention, she was in apparently in the hospital. Chichi was almost afraid to ask why. She had hoped that that had been a mere nightmare.
"Dad," she started to say. "What happened?"
After another heavy exhale, the Ox King mumbled, "We were attacked by vampires Chichi." Tears began to swell within his eyes before he continued to speak, "And they almost killed us. I-I'm so sorry that I couldn't protect you. My only daughter."
"It's okay dad. I'm fine now so don't cry. Please," she moved closer to touch his broad shoulders. Rubbing them, she attempted soothe him.
"You were so close to dying Chichi. Your body was rejecting every blood transfusion. The doctors were about to give up last night until Mr. Briefs intervened," he wept.
Instinctively, Chichi swallowed the tight lump in her throat before muttering, "Daddy. Please, you're going to make me cry."
Despite the tube within her chest, Chichi wrapped her small arms around one of her father's arms. Snuggling her head up against him, she closed her eyes. In response, the Ox-King tenderly rubbed the top of her head with his free hand. Once his body had stopped quivering, Chichi loosened her grip completely to stare back into his now swollen eyes.
The Ox-King cleared his throat, finally regaining his composure. His eyes burned with a crushing intensity as he stated, "I just don't know what I would've done if I would have lost you. The squadron will find those vampires and kill them for what they've done. So you don't have to worry!"
"I'm not daddy. I'm more worried about you!" Chichi replied.
"There's no need to be, my dear child. I may be paralyzed from the waist down now, but I'm very much capable of taking care of myself. I was merely caught off guard earlier….since…."
Chichi ignored everything else as one word had taken her by surprise. Almost hurdling out of her bed, she yelled, "Dad! You're paralyzed! W-What are you talking about?!" She leaned over the hospital bed's railing to see if what he had spoken was true. Upon the first glance of the wheelchair, Chichi slammed back into the bed. Sadness suddenly overcame her so much that she found herself stammering, "T-This can't be happening! I….No…"
As enormous as the Ox-King was, it wasn't much of a problem for him to hug his daughter tightly over the railing and comfort her as she cried. Caressing the top of her head, he whispered, "It's okay dear. I still can easily kill any measly vampire. It just means now you'll have to start training much more than you have been."
The Ox-King pulled her bangs back to kiss her softly on the forehead before releasing her. Interrupting, their intense scene, a nurse then brought in another bouquet of indigo Hydrangeas. Suddenly, the Ox-King's expression changed to one of profound hatred as he glowered at the flowers being placed down.
Once the nurse left, Chichi felt the need to quietly ask, "Dad, what's wrong with the flowers? Why are you looking like that?"
"Chichi, my dear, I have something to tell you. Those flowers were bought by Bulma," the Ox-King stated in response.
"And? Why would you be upset if she bought them?"
"The reason why I was caught off guard and overpowered by those vampire, was because someone had given them my information…. Bulma is the one who told the vampires the location of our house."
"What," Chichi did a dry laugh. "Daddy, you can't be serious. Bulma wouldn't ever do that."
"I know what I heard!" the Ox-King boomed. "Before the vampires tried to bash my head in, that's what they stated. Chichi, you need to understand that Bulma is a conniving traitor." He spat her name with such venom, it even frightened Chichi.
The Ox King continued to seethe as he then declared, "Never trust her. She's not your family. I am. Family wouldn't put you in harm's way like that."
"D-Dad….I just can't…"
"You can ask her yourself. I'm sure she'll tell you the truth," The Ox-King snapped as he turned his wheelchair away from Chichi. He exited the room at the same time that Bulma was about to enter. After he glowered upon her as much as possible at the doorway, he wheeled away.
Before Chichi could even ask, Bulma ran towards her bed and grabbed her into her arms. "I'm so so so sorry Chichi!"
"W-What are you talking about? It's not like you had anything to do with the vampires finding our home-"
Chichi pulled back from Bulma's embrace to stare into her eyes. The answer she was looking for, was right there. Bulma didn't need to say anything. And at that moment, Chichi felt as if her heart had been savagely ripped open before falling to the bottomless pits of her stomach. The distress she was feeling at this moment was even greater than a second ago when she figured out her father was paralyzed. This staggering amount of ache almost made her want to cease to exist, just to escape from the pain.
"I didn't know it would happen like this! I was-"
Suddenly, Chichi shoved Bulma off of her before saying, "Bulma…. I can't believe this."
"Chichi, I know I don't deserve it but let me explain first."
"NO! GET OUT NOW! I NEVER want to see you again!" Chichi screamed with all her might. And Bulma couldn't do anything but accept what Chichi had said and walk away.
Something was rustling. The sound of something rustling, was resonating within her ears and awakening her from that horrible flashback. Almost lazily, Chichi opened her eyes.
BAM
What the…. No. She must still be dreaming. There's no way that someone was in her room at this very moment, rambling through what sounded like her dresser full of clothes. But then she heard the sound of another drawer on her dresser opening. Slowly, Chichi sat up in the bed to observe Goku raiding her drawers for reasons she really didn't care to know. Casually, she then reached over to the bedside table. Opening the little compartment, she pulled out a couple of bullets. Once they were in her lap, Chichi reached up above her head to pull down the shotgun that was hidden in the canopy's structure. She proceeded to load her shotgun, not saying anything to Goku.
Soon, Goku closed her dresser drawer. As if nothing was wrong, he walked over to the end of her bed, plopping down before carefully examining the piece of red lingerie he had found. He even had the nerve to say almost happily, "Good morning China!"
Chichi didn't respond. She had no expression as she cocked her shotgun.
"This is a pretty weird cloth. How do you wear-"
She immediately shot him in the chest.
Well...at least, she had hoped so. With the brightest smile lighting her face up, Chichi hurried out her sheets to peer over the foot of her bed. Much to her disappointment, Goku sat up from the floor and placed his elbow on the end of the bed. "You hit my arm!" Goku exclaimed. The blood…that looked so smooth and delicate to Chichi… was trickling down his arm that had already healed.
"Well damn. I'm very sorry. I really had aimed for your heart. I'm always rusty right in the morning." Chichi easily said.
"You could've killed me!" Goku replied, almost angrily.
"Look at this face. I had the upmost intention of killing you," Chichi stated with a nonchalant expression as she pointed to her face.
"But why? What did I do?" Goku asked since he clearly didn't see anything wrong with his actions.
"What did you?! What did you do!?" Her pitch grew sharper at each word. "Not only are you a vampire but you keep bothering me! Especially after I warned you! And then you've snuck into my room AGAIN! AND you were raiding my underwear drawer! If you had been a human, I would've still shot you!"
"In my defense I was looking for toothpick."
"Why in the HELL would a…. Dear Kami, GIIIIIIVE me the strength today!" Chichi yelled. She quickly reached down towards the head of her bed to grab her shotgun again. Right when she was about to aim at Goku, Krillin entered the room and left the door open midway.
"Woah, woah, woah! Don't shoot me Chichi! I know I annoy you at times but I'm too young to die!" Krillin exclaimed since he stood right between Goku and Chichi holding the gun. Goku used that opportunity to slip out the door that was left ajar.
"Dammit Krillin! Move!" Chichi frantically yelled, but by the time he moved the slightest step out of the way, Goku was already gone. "You let him get away!" Chichi angrily screamed. She let out an aggravated sigh as she slammed the shotgun on the bedside table.
"Well, I apologize for that but Elder Kakkarrot was taking too long and our group has to leave the base in a few," Krillin said.
"What?! That soon! I must've overslept. Anyways, thanks. I'll start getting ready," Chichi replied as she hopped out the bed and escorted Krillin out the room.
Once the door had closed, Krillin turned to Goku who was doing his signature smile. Originally, Krillin was the one who was supposed to wake up Chichi but Goku had insisted to do it instead.
Krillin's eyes narrowed as a smirk came across his face, "Elder Ka-"
"Goku, for you," he corrected.
Krillin crossed his arms. His smirk never leaving his face as he then stated, "Well Goku, I heard you in there. You weren't looking for a toothpick."
Goku laughed in response and gave his sheepish grin before saying, "I have no idea what you're talking about Krillin."
"Rose, do you know why I have called you into my office today?" the professor asked. He fiddled with a red pen in one hand. Pushing his black reading glasses up on his pointed nose with the other, he carefully observed her expression. Chichi met his gaze that she simply couldn't be fazed by. She then glanced around the office full of bookshelves with textbooks, taking in her current setting. She was sitting in an uncomfortable plastic chair to which her jeans were sticking to. Her floral patterned shirt was so thin that she would think anyone could see the sweat beads on her back from sitting against that chair. Before her was the professor who was calmly lounging in his cushioned seat behind a desk cluttered with old exams and coffee stained lab reports. The only space on his desk that was neatly arranged was the small corner towards the window, where the desktop computer sat. It was almost impossible to read with certainty the professor's face because of how much the light from the open blinds brightened the cubicle-like room.
"Rose, I asked you a question." The professor restated, gaining Chichi's attention once more.
"I apologize sir. I don't know why you've called me. Do you need me to grade some more papers?" Chichi replied as she feigned ignorance. A nervous bead of sweat fell down her forehead. She knew exactly why she had been called to his office after class. Chichi had been passing out graded quizzes to the students when Goku decided it was okay to start being a class clown. As if his personality was an infectious disease, suddenly the others felt the need to join in on his shenanigans. When Chichi, who was frustrated to her upmost limits with Goku, had tried to calm the others who had become rowdy after the fact, Goku told her to, "Lighten up Rosie," to which she responded, "I'll lightened up alright. I'll lighten up as soon as I shove my foot up your unruly ass!"
Apparently, that wasn't something a teaching assistant should say to any student. Chichi thought that as soon as the professor walked in with his mouth agape. Well, now, as the professor sat across her from his desk and said, "Rose, your behavior was very inappropriate," she knew for certain she couldn't say things like that.
The professor continued to admonish, "I know that you're young and you've only been here for 3 days but I can't tolerate you threatening students. It reflects greatly upon me. Normally, people don't get second chances with me but since I like you, I'll let it slide this once. Consider yourself lucky. You may leave now."
"I'm truly sorry Dr. Stevens. It will not happen again," Chichi replied as she got up from her seat and took a step towards the door.
"I hope for your sake, it doesn't," the professor replied before he resumed marking up the papers on his desk. Chichi then exited the room, closing the door behind her. She stormed the hallways with such intensity, that most people moved out of her way. To be scolded as if she was a child, was infuriating. And it was all because of her not managing her temper when it came to Goku.
As soon as she thought of his name, Chichi found Goku leaning up against the wall in the science building. Not only was he leaning up against the wall, but he was socializing with two beautiful girls; one was a brunette and the other was a red head. They were fluttering their eyelashes and moving in closer towards him, often laughing frivolously at what Goku was saying. It was obvious that they all were flirting with each other.
Immediately, Chichi felt a tinge of jealousy.
No, I feel disgusted watching something like this. Chichi reasoned with herself. Why would she be envious watching them like that? Her being envious would be preposterous. Nevertheless, Chichi casually walked up to the group to interrupt their conversation.
Clearing her throat to gain their attention, Chichi eyed Goku. She glanced at the two girls, dismissing them with her stare. They rolled their eyes, refusing to move until Goku nodded to assure them it was okay to leave.
"See you later then, Goku," the girls cooed. They slightly bumped past Chichi and one said, "Bye Rosie O'Donnell."
"It's Rose," Chichi spat back. She chose to not mind those girls much as she continued to glare at Goku and say, "If you have time to frolic around and entertain your peers, then you should have time to study and remember why you're here."
In response, Goku smirked at Chichi. "You know those girls came on to me. Don't you remember me saying that I don't do humans?"
"Whatever Goku."
"Aww, were you jealous Chi? Why?" Goku replied.
"I-I wasn't-," Chichi began to flush a deep red color. She snapped her back towards Goku and began to walk away. She didn't have time to be antagonized and end up losing her teaching assistant job, thus her role within this mission. However, Goku grabbed her arm.
"I'm sorry. I'll pay you back with lunch. I know you're hungry. I am." Goku said with his sheepish smile.
Chichi snatched her elbow out of his grasp. "No. You can't make me."
"Chi, we need to get along for now. When we don't, situations like today happen. You don't need to lose your job here. Just see this as my olive tree of peace to you."
"Olive branch," Chichi corrected.
"That doesn't make any sense. There are more olives on a tree than a small branch."
Chichi almost found herself laughing, but stopped it before it could happen. He had a point. And knowing him, if she didn't go along with his request then he would cause another scene. She couldn't afford that. Also, she was hungry. Therefore she found herself telling him, "Goku, let's go then."
Chichi had never visited the cafeteria, much less walked in any direction towards it. She only knew her way to and from the science building since she had not had the opportunity to tour the university's campus yet. Therefore, she was rather surprised to see Goku walk among the crowds of students and easily find the building where the cafeteria was located.
"Come on Chi, let's get in line!" Goku rushed her as soon as they had entered the building. However Chichi wanted to take the time to take in her surroundings of the newly renovated building. She was falling behind, glancing around to examine the inside décor and students casually lounging around. A bit impatient by her slow walking, Goku grabbed Chichi's hand. Instantly, her eyes shot open as she beheld his hand holding firmly onto hers. Not wanting to cause a scene, Chichi took the deepest inhale to calm down and allowed it. Goku then effortlessly guided her through the building until they reached the entrance to the cafeteria where several cashiers were waiting to permit entry to students. Once they stood in line, Goku let her hand go. When he did such, Chichi had noticed that his hand had been very warm. And now hers were cool.
"How did you know where the cafeteria was?" Chichi asked, to focus her attention on something else.
"I sniffed it out," Goku replied, with a grin.
"You're like an animal," Chichi muttered. Goku chuckled a bit in response. Once they were at the cashier, Chichi felt the need to ask, "You're going to pay for us right?" The last time he had tried to take her out to eat at the mausoleum, he claimed he didn't have any money for food. Well, at that time he was trying to kill her but still Chichi doubted that Goku carried money on him.
But Goku had actually replied, "Don't need to," as he pulled an university I.D card out his pocket.
"Oh hey Goku! They have shrimp and tilapia today!" the cashier said as he handed her the card. She glanced at it and frowned. "This isn't you Goku."
"William let me use his card. I hope that's okay. I'm swiping her in as well," Goku said, flashing her another smile.
Automatically, the cashier blushed and replied, "Well…since it's you, that's fine. Have a good day!"
"Thanks!" Goku waved her off and began to slowly head through the cafeteria with Chichi trailing close behind. She was too busy observing the students and how there were many different stations for food. It was almost like a classier buffet for college students. Speaking of them, they were all either sitting down at the booth or tables eating and socializing or waiting to be served the food by the chefs…
Chichi's eyes immediately became wide. Launch was at a station, serving food. She looked thoroughly agitated as if any second she was going to pull out a gun on the student giving her attitude at the moment. Oh my Kami! Don't do it Launch! Remain calm! Chichi thought.
"She'll be fine. And Krillin is nearby cleaning the dishes to keep an eye on her," Goku whispered in Chichi's ear, almost frightening her. "Anyways, welcome to the athletic dining hall where the food is free as long as you're on a meal plan!" Goku exclaimed.
Chichi took her attention off of Launch to focus on Goku as she walked beside him. She asked then, "Speaking of free, what was that earlier? How did you get a card to swipe in?"
"I've made friends since I've been here and they let me borrow them at times." Goku said, shrugging his shoulders.
Chichi wouldn't have believed him if she had not begun to witness, Goku being greeted by almost everyone in this dining hall as they walked past table and approached the food stations. What was even more shocking was how people started to come up to her to say hey now as she was getting her food. It was said that she looked unapproachable, so they hadn't tried to until she was walking around with someone like Goku. Some even said that they'll see her around. It was such a different experience for someone as socially challenged as Chichi, that she hurriedly got her two plates of food just so she could sit at a booth by herself. Goku had continued to make plate after plate, as Chichi sat down at a booth.
Chichi had thought she was free and to herself until she heard a voice call, "Hey Rose! How are you?"
No. Dear Kami, not today. I can not continue to deal with him. Chichi thought. She knew who it was before she even looked up. It was that same persistent Robert and two of his many friends.
Chichi didn't even look up as she replied to him, "I'm fine. Thanks."
"W-Well…You look very nice today," Robert stammered as Chichi took a mouthful of fish and vegetables.
"Really? Look very nice?" his friend laughed.
"She really makes you nervous!" another friend added.
"So…you two are just gonna stand here while I'm trying to talk to her," Robert said, clearly aggravated.
"alright whatever. Us leaving won't help you." His friends laughed. "No-game having ass."
Robert sighed and Chichi finally met his hazel eyed gaze as he stated, "I'm sorry about that Rose. I really want to get to know you better. There's just something about you that I like."
"Like what?" Chichi asked.
"Well, I'll tell you as soon as I sit down. Is this seat-"
"Yes it is," Goku interrupted.
"Hey Goku! Wait…..Is this you?" Robert asked.
"Yes. She's all mine." Goku declared with a smirk.
Chichi damn near choked on her food. "Excuse me?"
"Well, I'll leave you two be for now," Robert said walking off to join his friends' table. Goku then sat down with his 8 plates full of food.
"What do you mean I'm yours?!" Chichi furiously whispered once Robert had left.
"Calm down Chi. It was just so he'd leave you alone" Goku assured as he carelessly began to scoff down his food. Chichi had no idea what game Goku was playing at but credit should be given when it's due.
"Oh….then t-tha…..." She cleared her throat. Her pride didn't want to permit her to say thank you. So instead she muttered, "Much obliged."
"Anytime, Chi!" Goku cheerfully said as he winked at her. He proceeded to throw back plate after plate of food. Before Chichi knew it, she had watch Goku eaten a total of 23 plates of food. Once he had finished and was rubbing his stomach in satisfaction, Chichi spoke.
"I need to get going. I realized today, I haven't toured the campus. This was nice, whatever this is. But we shouldn't do it again." Chichi stated.
"Wait, you haven't toured the campus yet?" Goku asked.
"No. That's what I said."
"I could show you were everything is! I already know. Plus, you need to know every bit of this area even if other people are assigned to it."
"I think I'll be fine on my own," Chichi instantly dismissed.
"Great, let's get going," Goku replied as he stood up from the booth.
"You didn't hear me."
"Yes I did, come on!" Goku happily said, grabbing her hand again.
For the next three and a half hours, Goku practically dragged Chichi around the campus. He showed her the upperclassman and freshmen dorms, the library, music & arts building, social sciences building, education building, student success center, and a multitude of places. Chichi met more people in her life than she could have imagined who were friendly and didn't refer to her as a "demon child." For a second, she would've believe that Goku had influenced these people to like him but that thought was immediately rejected after witnessing how he interacted with everyone. He was very affable and funny, that his charm made college students naturally gravitate towards him. She would've thought he was a normal person, if she hadn't known of his true vampire nature.
After showing Chichi the sorority and fraternity houses, they had finally walked into a coffee shop on campus to rest. Chichi's feet were screaming, even though she wore flats. Her throat was dry since she had done too much talking with students and even with Goku about her other passions in life that didn't involve hunting vampires. Thus, she ordered an iced French vanilla coffee whereas Goku ordered two dozen of donuts. They were seated at a two person wooden table right next to the window, and they sat right across from one another. Honestly, they were quiet at first. The chattering of students discussing politics was the only audible sound. Chichi stared at Goku who was devouring each donut. Looking at him, she couldn't help but to reflect on him in general. From his charm, smile, feeling of his hand… wait…. No. No, no!
Chichi almost smacked herself upside the head. She was really about to analyze his character as if she was some freaking high school girl with a crush. No, this wasn't like this at all! She was misplacing all the exhilaration and elation from being at this college and meeting new people, on Goku. The happiness she felt right now had nothing to do with him. At the most, she only admired his charismatic nature that she wished she possessed.
Once Chichi had successfully overcame that mental battle, she glanced back at Goku who was actually staring at a couple seated nearby. The couple were gazing into each other eyes ever so lovingly and Goku had the most perplexed facial expression.
"Why are you looking at them like that?" Chichi wondered.
"It makes me think."
"About what? Tell me. I can be nice and listen for once since you were decent today."
Goku was hesitant at first but proceeded to say, "What's love? I don't get it. I can't eat, smell, taste, or touch it." He sighed before his voice took upon a rather displeasing tone, "All I do know is that my closest friend had fallen in love with another even though she had been promised to me."
Chichi felt a twinge in her chest, to which she associated it with her feeling sorry for him. She looked at impassive eyes and replied, "So you must've loved her then..."
"I may have only seen her as a close friend and valued our friendship but I…" Goku paused. "No. I don't even know what that means… I just know I hate for my promises to be broken, even if it's not my fault."
"Well, you couldn't help that she fell in love with someone else," Chichi assured.
"Yeah… I can't… but the person she did fall for. I can't seem to forgive him for what he has done. I have only allowed him to live because he did something else important. And plus, why dirty my hands when his death will come soon anyway? Until then everything will eat him apart for what he has done."
"What did he do?" a curious Chichi asked.
"He killed her; my closest friend."
"How could-"
"That's why I don't get love and never will. I'm a vampire after all," he winked. She could sense some pain behind what he said. And some very small part of her wanted to comfort him but-
"Hey, Rose!" a girl called. Chichi turned to look up at a group of young women smiling at her. "We were wondering if you had time to help us with the assignment for Genetics."
"I would love to but I'm talking to-" Chichi turned back to face Goku, but he had disappeared. She then turned back to face the young girls and agreed to help them.
After a long and eventful day, Chichi finally had returned to the base. Once she had reported the information she had gathered to her father, Chichi headed back towards her room to rest. However, as she rounded the deserted hallway, Chichi saw a fellow female slayer leaving Goku's room that was across from hers. This petite woman leaned against the wall to support herself for a second. When she had tried to walk once more, she began to stagger then fall. Immediately, Chichi caught her in her arms.
"What's wrong?" Chichi asked, but she didn't need to. The girl lazily nodded her head back, not being able to hold it up, and Chichi noticed the bite mark on her neck. Rage, consumed the very depths of her soul. It could only be one person who could've done this. And after she had trusted him! She can't believe she had been foolish enough to think good of him for a second!
"Snap out of it solider! Report to Bulma this instance!" Chichi said, slapping the girl across her face. It made the girl open her eyes. A bit more alert now, she stood up on her own. Chichi heard the door open behind her but chose not to turn around yet. Not before ordering the girl once more, "Report to Bulma this instance. She will treat you!"
The girl nodded and began to walk a little bit better now, towards Bulma's lab. Once Chichi couldn't see her back anymore, she turned to severely glower at Goku who was merely smiling at her. This only made her much more furious as she pushed him back into his room, following him in as well. She slammed the door behind them and turned to face him. She finally got a chance to see his wondrous room but didn't have time to take in every bit of her surroundings since Goku teased, "Oh. What's with all the touching Chi. I've told you I don't do hum-"
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" She snapped at him, interrupting his statement that had become redundant now. "You can't use these slayers as your meal! What if they change into Vampires! You won't do this anymore or I swear I'll go against everything my father has ordered to kill you."
"Okay."
"Wait…what? Well that was easy." She crossed her arms with a cocky smirk appearing upon her face. "I guess you finally learned who you're dealing with."
Goku chuckled, "Oh no. I'll still feed." A coy smile came across his lips again. He stepped close enough to tower over her tall frame in an intimidating manner. "I'll have you instead then."
The nerve… How dare he… Chichi stumbled for her words, for her anger was making her unable to process her words correctly. She finally began to stammer, "F-Fuck you. You must be out of your damn mind! I will NOT…"
"Chichi, I have your father on my side. Why do you think I've been able to feed so easily? He sends those girls to me. Now… I'll follow your rules but I refuse to starve. You have to at least give me something in return."
Why was he acting this way now? Why could he do something and not be reprimanded or murdered like the beast he was? She didn't understand… Everything, was beginning to not make sense anymore. While Chichi was trying to sort it out in her head, she remained silent with a fretful expression.
"Look, you can't turn into one of those vampires like the vies do. I don't know if you know that. I mean, you've been bitten several times before and nothing has happened right?"
She nodded, without looking at him.
"Then we have a deal?" Goku asked.
She still didn't get anything... But to save the lives of her fellow slayers, she guess she had to make a few sacrifices. "Fine," Chichi snapped before storming out the door.
She bolted into her room and slammed the door shut. Her heart began to ache as she leaned up against the door, gripping at her chest. What was going on with her father and his decisions lately? Weren't the vampires enemies? Why was her father agreeing to this? He was giving away the slayers as if they were nothing. What if they had been turned into vampires?! Would he have had them killed also? Their saying is "Vampires are ravenous beasts who kill without pity, and for such their deaths they'll meet in any place or city, by the hands of a true demon slayer who refuse to accept failure." So the people the elder turned, would have died without a doubt.
No, no…. They can not be siding with this elder merely because of one common goal. Things weren't adding up and thus Chichi felt deep down in her gut that her father was hiding something.

He interrupted, "You really don't know anything, do you?" He sat up, looking at her quite aggravated.
"Excuse me?!" Chichi said, giving him a lot of attitude. She stopped moving for a second.
"You haven't even figured out the truth about the blue haired one, have you?"
"I know the –"
"No, you don't. If you did, we wouldn't be talking." Goku let out an exasperated sigh before he began to pick his teeth.
"It's really a shame you don't know that...nor the secrets of yourfather..." he said the word with disgust.

What if. No… she mustn't ponder on the words of someone like Goku. It was time to sleep. But soon, she would get her much needed answers! Chichi was determined enough to, even if that may mean going against her father.
a/n: and another chapter. Blah, I just want to get to the action now XD I'm tired of the light happy stuff. I want to go back to the darkside completely. I actually wish I could spill out all the secrets at once. I'd be so happy if I could do that. T_T but I can't. That'd be unfair. I wonder what you all think the Ox-King is hiding. How could he side with a vampire like this? It's not like he's being influenced. The higher officials do have technology and stuff against that.. e_e Just what is it?
