Chapter 12: Kazekage rescue arc part 7
(Inside Kaiba's mind)
Kaiba found himself in a clearing in the woods.
A man who looked a lot like Kaiba was on his knees in front of a woman. A group of men walked up to the man.
One of the men stepped forward and said, "Kai, we have to comply with Iwa's demands or they'll destroy the village"
The man, named Kai, stood up and looked at the man, "Dubio, I won't let Iwa have Remoara!"
"Kai, we don't have a choice. Either we follow Iwa's orders or they destroy us" said one of the men.
"Kai, if you won't hand Remoara over, I will fight you to the death" said Dubio, as he pulled out a kunai.
"We'll all fight you" shouted the other men as they pulled out kunai.
Kai grabbed the large three bladed shuriken on his back.
'That shuriken looks just like mine' thought Kaiba.
"Stopped" shouted someone.
Everyone turned, "E- Elder, I was -" started Dubio.
"Silence Dubio, I know what you are doing. But perhaps you should put some faith in the Shodai Kage"
"The founding shadow?... You mean..." started Dubio.
"Kai is our village's kage?!" said the other men.
"Yes he is" said the Elder.
"Thank you, Elder Danzo" said Kai.
"Now please excuse me. I must leave for Konoha" said Danzo.
Kai and the men bowed to Danzo and then everything faded away and Kaiba found himself in front of the cage that Tysora was locked in.
"What was that Tysora?" asked Kaiba.
"That was a memory of your father that resides inside me, your father wanted you to see it. Your father believed that Danzo was the reason for the destruction of not only your village but, a total of six were destroyed the day I was sealed inside you" explained Tysora.
"Wait, did you say Danzo?" asked Kaiba.
"Yes, I did"
"Danzo is an elder of Konoha, His brother was Sandaime Hokage" said Kaiba.
"Well that would explain why he attacked that village in Iwa" said Tysora.
"Wait, what village in Iwa?" asked Kaiba.
"The village hidden in the Oaks. Why?"
"That's Kisa's village!" said Kaiba.
"Well, it makes sense what he did" said Tysora.
"What... he destroyed six villages and nothing happens to him" shouted Kaiba
"No, he was suppose to get you and your sister but, the Raikage betrayed him and took your sister-"
"Yuuki is dead" said Kaiba.
"No, Hidden Mist nins took your sister away but, they killed your mother. Had they not killed your mother or took your sister your village would have survived" said Tysora.
"So not only do I have to kill Deidara, I also have to kill Danzo" said Kaiba.
"Yes" said Tysora.
"OK then,We'll find my sister and avenge my family" said Kaiba, "Thank you Tysora"
(In the real world)
"KAIBA" shouted Kisa.
Kisa ran over to Kaiba and Fox started getting up.
Fox placed his hand on his face, and realized he didn't have his mask on. He reached into his bag and pulled out another orange fox porcelain mask.
After he secured the mask in place, Fox turned around and went over to Kaiba, who was just getting up.
"Thank you Kaiba, for saving my life" said Fox.
"Your welcome" said Kaiba, "But, I can't stay"
"What?" asked Fox.
A smoke bomb went off and when the smoke cleared, Kaiba was gone.
"Where's Kaiba?" asked Kisa.
"He left" said Fox.
Kakashi ran into the cave and looked around.
"Wher-" started Kakashi.
"Kaiba left" said Fox.
"We have to stop him -" started Kakashi.
"No, its something that has a personal meaning, and he's not going after Deidara" said Fox.
Kisa gasped but then looked softly at the ground, "What about Lord Kazekage?"
Fox stared at her, "He's gone."
Kisa looked at him desperatly, "But, I might've been able to save him..." She looked around the room as she noticed that Sakura wasn't around. "W...where's Sakura-chan!"
Fox and Kakashi looked around nervously.
Kisa was about to call out for her when she felt light-headed and her sight went black.
"Kisa!" shouted Fox.
"Kakashi, go find Sakura. She should be nearby" said Fox.
Kakashi nodded and ran out to find Sakura.
Meanwhile with Sakura.
Sakura woke up in a field and she saw Gaara laid out on a field.
"Gaara!" she shouted.
She ran over to him and started healing him.
"Hang on Gaara" she said.
"Its no use" said someone.
"Who's there" shouted Sakura.
A person stepped out of the shadows, it was Lady Chiyo.
"Lady Chiyo!" said Sakura.
"There is only one way to save the Kazekage, and only I can do it" said Chiyo.
"Sakura, there you are" shouted Kakashi.
"Kakashi-sensei" said Sakura.
Fox came running out of the forest and saw Sakura was OK and sighed underneath his mask.
"Fox-sama, I need your assistance" said Lady Chiyo.
Fox laid Kisa on the ground and Sakura ran over and started healing her.
Fox and Lady Chiyo were on their knees in front of the Kazekage.
"Fox-sama, put your hands on top of mine" said Lady Chiyo.
Fox did as he was told.
"You have a strange and powerful chakra Fox, I need it to help me revive the Kazekage" said Chiyo.
"But-"
Gai and his team and some sand shinobi ran into the clearing.
"You and another will change the shinobi world, and I am glad to give my life so that world will become this world, and in that world there will be eternal peace" said Lady Chiyo.
"Lady Chiyo!" shouted Baki.
"Goodbye, Everyone" said Lady Chiyo.
"No" shouted Fox.
Lady Chiyo fell over and Fox caught her.
"Why. Why is done dying around me?" whispered Fox.
Gaara began to wake up and saw Fox holding Lady Chiyo.
He stood up and said,"Everyone, pray for Lady Chiyo"
Everyone bowed their head and then four sand shinobi came and carried Lady Chiyo's body to Suna.
Sakura finally finished healing Kisa and walked over to Fox.
"Fox, are you OK?" she asked.
"I'm fine" said Fox.
And they walked back to Suna.
(With Kaiba)
Kaiba was running towards Kumo. Knowing his sister was there.
It was hours later that Kaiba arrived at the main gate to Kumogakure.
A Kumo nin walked up to Kaiba.
"What is a hidden leaf shinobi doing here?" asked the shinobi.
"I'm here to speak to the Raikage" said Kaiba, "Its very important"
"Very well the Raikage mansion is at the end of this street" said the guard.
"Thank you" said Kaiba.
Kaiba ran to the Raikage Mansion and ran up to the Raikage office.
He knocked on the door. And was told to enter.
Kaiba entered.
"Who are you?" asked the Raikage.
"I am Kaiba Makiso, and you have my sister, Yuuki" said Kaiba.
"Oh, I knew this day would come. It is my unfortunate timing to tell you, your sister has joined the Akatsuki"
Kisa woke up slowly and was startled to wake up in Fox's arms. She quickly opened her eyes wide to jump from shock. "F…Fox!"
He looked down at her and spoke calmly. "Think you can walk?"
She stared at him her entire face red with embarrassment and confusion. "Y…yes."
Fox nodded at her and slowly put her down on her feet. She looked around to see Kakashi,Sakura, and Nashi watching her carefully.
Kisa dared herself to ask as she sighed. "Wh…where's Kaiba?"
Sakura shook her head. "He just left."
Kisa gasped slightly and stared at the ground, "He, left?"
Kakashi tried to reassure the young dog tamer, "I believe he had good intentions, whatever it was that caused him to leave, I'm sure was very reasonable. He'll be back soon Kisa."
She gazed at him for a few seconds and then nodded softly. Fox gently put his hand on her shoulder. "Kaiba wouldn't just abandon team seven." He spoke to reassure her.
She watched him as everyone started to continue on their way and he didn't follow. Quietly and quickly he whispered in her ears, "Kaiba loves you Kisa, I can tell, whatever is going on inside his head, wherever he went, I'm sure it's to protect you."
As she watched Fox walk away and Nashi rub her head against her leg as she stood beside her Kisa looked on ahead dreading what she heard. "But...I...If I let him protect me, then I could lose him. In more ways then one." She thought outloud. ultimate concern weighing over reason.
Where was Kaiba? And what could happen to him?
She didn't know, and maybe...she didn't want to.
