The snow chilled him to his bone, especially in his clothes. Renekton perched on a cliff, knelt down, Bat'Leth clutched in hand as he looked down through the horizon. There, half buried in the snow, was one of the ships; as armed as the others, with thousands of those minions wandering about. It had taken a month to reach the Freljord on foot; Renekton having built some more muscle mass through it, as he looked towards the ship. He felt a sense of remembrance; the Cave of Nightmares...the horrid illusion of his best friend falling to his hand...discovering the source of his foe's power...and coming back to find Melody...gone. He spent a long time considering who had done it, and had come to a conclusion; a sorrowful one stating whoever killed her had a personal rage for Renekton...Willow. As much as he hated to believe it, he needed to end this war as soon as he could...then maybe he could find peace...or death.

His Hex-Tech communicator buzzed, as he slowly withdrew it from his pocket. The voice of Mordikaiser patched through, followed by a few screams in the background.

"Renekton, I've reached the southern end of the ship. Cho'Gath is at his spot too. Kha'Zix said he and Nocturne are planning to enter this thing with stealth and let us all in."

"Good work; I'll be there soon." He slid it back into his pocket and stood up; pulling the blade up with him. He walked off, as his mind drifted back to his earlier thoughts. What would he do following this war? Most of his mind said go on and live...but for what? The two women he loved most were both evil and wanting to kill him, or dead. A small fragment of his mind presented a...darker path. Suicide; his rage was beyond back now, and his health must have taken a decline for the worse now. There could be no way to reverse it, and without someone to love, he was nothing. He pushed those thoughts from his head, as he walked. He had to save the other Champions, but more importantly his brother. When the League turned their back on him, Nasus didn't. Now time for Renekton to repay the favor.

"So they got it open yet?" Cho'Gath asked Renekton, arriving an hour later. The Butcher snapped his fingers, and right on time the door opened; Nocturne poking out.

"Kha'Zix already let in Mordikaiser. We need to re-group."

"Agreed; let's move." Cho'Gath struggled a bit to get inside the small archway, but he did after a few minutes, as they all moved carefully and quietly. When Thresh asked why they were being stealthy, Nocturne looked around for any security detail.

"If we're spotted, no doubt they'll try to capture or kill us. Our biggest concern should be that if alerted, the pilots of this ship with set it to lift off; we'll have a hard time getting home then."

"Not quite." Renekton said, as they managed to meet up with the others, in what looked to be a large cargo bay. He reached his hand into his vest pocket, and withdrew a small piece of green chalk. After handing Cho'Gath his weapon, he carefully drew something onto the ground, revealed to be a summoning circle, that glimmered a moment later.

"It's simple guys," He said, explaining the plan as he stuffed the chalk back into his pocket. "We all know recall; once you find a champion, break them out, get them less than a foot from you, and recall. You'll both be back here, and then Vel'Koz can open a rift and drop them through back to the base. We need to move quickly; no idea how long these idiots will be idle." They all split up, as each of them did all they could to retain silence, ensuring that they'd remain undetected.

Renekton only had to walk a short distance before he found large bio tubes, and within each was a Champion. He didn't fully bother investigation; aside from carefully breaking each with his weapon, and dragging each Champion out; recovering Mundo, Quinn and even Lulu. The Butcher gathered them all together as he started to cast Recall; seeing all of them in a slight comatose state. They should be out for a few hours. Once Renekton returned back, he left each Champ in the summoning circle; watching a green portal open on the ground and Vel'Koz grab each Champion and pull them in. Renekton watched Cho'Gath walk by, dragging Ahri and Blitzcrank, as well as walking out with Sona, carrying her bridal style.

"You saw this coming." He said to Renekton, walking by the Butcher. It took about 3 hours, but soon almost every neutral or good Champion had been recovered...save for Nasus. The team stood around the summoning circle, as Renekton looked around.

"I'll go after Nasus; he's gotta be here somewhere."

"You sure it's safe?" Kha'Zix asked, as the Voidreaver looked about. "Has anyone noticed this has been rather simple? Do you suppose it could be a trap?"

"No doubt, but my brother is in here; I need to save him." He was gone a second later, as Nocturne sighed. "Everyone, get back to Vel'Koz; I'll stay here and keep him alive." He bolted off, as another portal opened for the remaining Champions.

Renekton cleaved a minion in half, as he bolted as fast as he could run. He hadn't triggered an alarm yet, and was thankful for that fact. But something didn't add up; he was moving closer and closer to the cockpit...and he finally saw two things, one pleasing, and one horrid.

Inside a bio tube was Nasus, his armor damaged and broken, but he remained alive...but in front of him was something sinister. It appeared as Nasus' Infernal Skin, but it seemed more evil, and more...vigilant. He stood there; his back turned, and chuckled a moment later.

"Like a moth to flame Renekton." How could he see him? Renekton stepped out, blade ready, as the demented Nasus swung his scepter around before stomping it into the ground. Renekton was both mortified but enraged; his sheer fury overriding all fears within him.

"This is the true power of the Ascension my brother," He sneered, as he tapped the bio tube holding the original Nasus. "My form here is weaker, feeble; actually having the foolhardy "virtue" of deciding to spare you countless times. Now, with the power Willow has granted me, I will not make the old me's foolish mistake." He struck without warning; Renekton barely being able to block his sudden strike. The Butcher pushed his demented brother back, before sending his fist into his stomach violently as the burning did nothing to Renekton's skin; sending Nasus back.

"Here's the irony you damn monster," He said, slashing at the darker Nasus constantly without pause; his blade cleaving holes in the monster's burning flesh. "I used to be the insane one." Infernal Nasus kicked Renekton in the stomach and sent him back, as he rolled for a second before he bolted up. The Butcher stood once more...and watched Infernal Nasus grow to a staggering 10'2; dark energy surrounding him as he stood firm. Infernal Nasus struck...and the unthinkable happened. Renekton's Bat'Leth shattered from the sheer force of the hit; spreading into countless metal fragments and shards across the metal floor. Renekton backed away with a new emotion, as he looked up at his brother; fright. That was replaced with anger a second later, as he readied his fist...and watched everything become darkened. A second later, Nocturne shot out from a random corner, and stabbed both blades into Infernal Nasus' chest, and sent the doppelganger back, giving the Nightmare enough time to slash open Nasus' pod, as Renekton leapt at Infernal Nasus, and while the demented clone was distracted he slammed his knee into his neck. Infernal Nasus fell, and Nocturne cast Recall just as Renekton got close enough; returning them to the summoning circle, then to the sewers; the circle fading away a moment later.

"So we have them all now?" Renekton asked Vel'Koz, as he watched over a still comatose Nasus. The Curator remained downed, as Vel'Koz let out an electronic sigh.

"Indeed, but your brother has sustained extended wounds. He will live; he just requires a lot of rest however. Stay with him, it'll be best until I can build you a new weapon."

"Thanks." The Eye of the Void floated out of the room, leaving Renekton alone with Nasus. They were in a darkened room, the bed being the only thing in there, as Nasus lay there. Renekton approached his brother's down form, as he shook his head.

"Why was I so hasty to save you?" He asked his brother; Nasus unmoving in his sleep. "I wanted you dead for years, I had my chance as well, yet I passed it up." He sighed, before he heard his brother's voice.

"You have a heart, brother." Nasus wearily spoke, as he stared up at his younger brother. "Like you did years ago, when you willingly accepted the madness Xerath possessed, driving you mad so we could seal him and you away. You've come a long way Renekton, and meeting Willow and Melody helped you even more so." Nasus rose, coughing a bit, as Renekton felt his brother place a hand on his shoulder, as Renekton shifted his gaze to the ground. The Butcher no longer felt the need for revenge, or the need for anger...but tranquility. He felt the same as he did years ago, before going mad. Both brothers were stopped when Kayle stepped into the room, wearing a stoic, somewhat impressed look.

"I was wrong about you Renekton; you really are a good person. You willingly saved me and my sister, re-united us, and gave us a common enemy to fight; I can't thank you enough for this. And with the honor of the Angels, I bestow upon you, this." She handed Renekton something, and his eyes lit up upon seeing it.

It was a new Bat'Leth, this one resembling his Galactic Skin's, as he took it from Kayle's hands without haste, but with delicacy; feeling its weight. It felt exactly like his original Bat'Leth, but when his hand twisted a handle the blade glimmered heavily. A sense of power was restored to Renekton, as he slashed the blade a few times, before placing it onto his back. He watched Nasus rise from his bed, as he stretched a bit, before doubling over; Renekton at his side in an instant.

"I'm ok brother," He spoke, his younger sibling helping him back into bed as he sighed a bit before leaning back. "I still need plenty of rest; many of us do. Don't fret Renekton," He looked to his brother. "You will have your time to slaughter our foes, but do it with honor. They may be vile monsters; twisted images of our own darkness...but if you give in to your former rage, it may be harder to awaken you this time." Renekton nodded, as he looked to Kayle, who saluted once before leaving. Their victory was assured now; they had an army, and more will power than any foe in Willow's twisted faction. They gave the League of Legends hell; time to give it right back...

"So they're all gone?" Willow asked a corrupted clone of Morgana, this one possessing her Exile skin. She nodded, as she looked at the strewn out bodies of the minions.

"It appears we once again underestimated Renekton."

"Indeed we have." Infernal Nasus approached them, and knelt before Willow; head bowed.

"I apologize mistress; I was unable to route the Butcher before he freed my pathetic other half."

"Rise Nasus; we still have another lead." He stood up slowly, as Willow already began walking, Morgana and Nasus following her. They walked for a long while, before they entered a dark room, with only one tube in the center. Inside it, made both clones gasp.

Renekton; Scorched Earth Renekton to be exact; the sinister clone sitting in suspended animation, the same darkness that created most of the other champions shifting inside the pod. Willow smiled, as she pressed a button on the wall, and the pod opened. Without warning, the Butcher's eye flew open, as he shattered what remained around him and stomped out, approaching Willow, and before anyone suspected he'd strike her, he knelt.

"Welcome to life, Butcher of Souls." She smirked, as the dark Renekton looked up.

"Yes...mistress..."

To Be Continued...
