Thank you everybody for your patience. Warning - there is some pretty substantial violence described in this chapter. I am not an expert with gund or with such tactics - I hope that this works.

Lily did not have to fake her shudder of fear and revulsion, but she remembered what she was there to do. Keeping her eyes on Callen, she waited for the signal she knew was going to come. Any momement...she worked to keep her body from tensing...any moment...THERE. She saw it. Callen looked up at her again and he gave just the barest of nods.

That was the sign Lily was waiting for. She went limp from her knees up, throwing her captor off balance. As he bent to adjust for the change in weight distribution, she popped back up, her head making contact with his nose. She heard the satisfying "crack" and felt wetness and blood spurted from the broken nose. The man was disoriented and released his grip so she quickly turned and aimed the heel of her palm upward toward his chin, snapping the thug's head backward. She grabbed the Uzi off the man's shoulder and fired two shots into his head, dropping him.

The moment that Callen saw Lily move, he pushed off with all his might and caused the chair to fall to the side. With his legs, he kicked out at Comescu, throwing him off balance. He had no weapon, so he was counting on Lily. The moment she had finished her captor, she pivoted toward the older man holding Callen hostage, the Uzi already raised. Comescu was a professional and while Callen's actions may have taken him by surprise, he held on to both the gun and his composure. "Drop it, Comescu," Lily yelled, lifting the Uzi to chest height. "I'll only ask once." Comescu looked in Lily's direction and apparently not seeing a viable threat, turned the gun back to Callen. He never had the chance as two more shots killed him where he stood.

Knowing that the gun fire would bring more men, Lily moved fast to untie Callen. Running to him, she scanned the room looking for something to quickly cut through the tape. There was nothing. Quickly searching the man who had brought her, she found a large utility tool on his belt. In a minute she was able to free both Callen's hands and feed. She helped her brother up and watched worriedly for a minute as he appeared to sway, but steadied himself. He grabbed Comescu's gun, several spare clips while Lily searched the other body for more ammo for the Uzi. Callen looked over at his sister, "Not bad," he said with a small smile, "not bad at all."

"Nell…where to," Lily asked urgently as soon as they had their weapons; she could hear man feet running up the hallway.

"Sergei's office is at the center of the house," Lily heard Nell's voice in her ear. "Take a right out of the room you're in and walk about a hundred and fifty feet to the next corridor," Nell instructed. Lily used hand signals to lead Callen. "We hacked their security system so now I have eyes inside. I'll try to lead you guys as best as possible." Although Nell could not see her, Lily nodded in acknowledgement.

Callen lead. He stepped into the hallway, gun at the ready and scanned in both directions. Lily stepped forward to lead. "OK," Nell spoke again, "Coming up on your right, is a door. It leads to another hallway. Take it. It will also help you avaid some bad guys that are coming your way." Lily looked around, saw the door, grabbed it and stepped in. Callen backed in after her and shut the door.

The two agents walked quickly down the corridor. Outside, and down the hill from the compound, the rest of the team was listening and gathered around a tablet that was transmitting the same information as Hetty, Nell, Eric and Granger were watching back in the Control Room.

"OK," Nell's voice was calm, although her heart was racing. "You'll reach the end of the corridor in 100 feet. There are a couple of guys on the other side." Lily passed on the information to Callen using signals. They carefully approached the door. Callen counted down with his fingers and kicked the door open. The guards were momentarily stunned – it was long enough for Lily to shoot two of them and for Callen to finish off the other one by breaking his neck.

"Now where," Lily murmured. Lily heard Nell take a breath.

"OK. It gets a little hairy from here," Nell went on. "The entrance to the office is on the other side of an atrium. There is no way around it. You'll need to go through the atrium...and...," Nell paused.

"And...," Lily finished, "...there are guys with guns that we can't avoid." She looked at Callen who just nodded, his eyes hard.

"There is a balcony above the atrium...I count four," Nell said, with something that sounded like apology in her voice.

"Ok," he said, his voice strained..with focus, fatigue or pain, Lily wondered as her heart contracted with worry. He took the Uzi from Lily and gave her the handgun. "I'll go first and take out the guards. Back me up."

Lily wanted to argue, but there was no better scenario that she could come up with. Reluctantly, she nodded.

They walked to the end of the corridor and to the entrance to the atrium. Pressing themselves against the opposite walls they looked up and over, confirming the guards. Callen used hand signals to indicate that there were, indeed, four guards - one on each side of the atrium. He indicated that they had automatic weapons.

Carefully, they leaned out and watched the guards patrol. The men clearly were on edge and expecting trouble since they were holding their weapons at the ready and scanning the area continuously. Callen and Lily continued watch and wait. In a few minutes, they saw two of the men turn their backs to the entrance. "Now," Callen signaled.

They both entered the atrium. Callen fired up at the man on the right and Lily took out the man on the balcony above the entrance who was targeting Callen. She fired a three shot burst and the man went down at the same time as Callen used the Uzi to shoot the men on either side – moving from one side to the other quickly.

They both turned toward the last guard. It should have been easy, the man was frozen in shock at what just happened – one burst from the Uzi would have killed him. But Callen was just not fast enough; he had expended what strength and energy he had to get this far. "No!," Lily screamed as she watched several bullets tear through Callen. She felt something hit her shoulder and set her back a few steps, but she was focused on Callen and paid no attention.

Automatically, and with deadly calm, she turned and fired, killing the man. Callen was stumbling toward the other side of the atrium. Lily, ran and got under his shoulder taking his weight and helping him.

She heard Callen gasp and cry out in pain. "Its OK, " she whispered. "I got you. We'll get out of here."

At the Control Room, Nell was fighting tears and Hetty had her hand over her mouth. Granger, pulled his hand through his hair and turned momentarily away while Eric tried to look anywhere but at the others. They knew what must have happened although no one was going to sayit; maybe if they kept silent, they would not have to acknowledge what happened.

Lily managed to get both of them to the wall and sat Callen down. She looked over and winced at all the blood. "I'm going to get you out of here," she panted.

"No." The word was only a breath. "Finish this. Finish this...," Callen struggled for breath, "for our parents."

Lily was fighting back tears.

"Go," he ordered. His voice gaining strength momentarily. But still Lily hesitated.

"Lily!," the voice tore through her fog. It was Sam. His voice was firm although Lily could hear something else...something that he was trying to control. "Finish this. Do what you came to do." A pause. "Finish what you started. Don't let...," Sam took a breath, "...don't let what Callen did go to waste."

Lily took another look at her brother, "I'll be back," she promised, touching Callen's cheek. "Just hang on." Callen nodded weakly.

Standing up and checking her weapon, Lily turned and walked toward the hallway and the office.

"Please, hurry," Callen whispered as pain and shock overtook him and he slipped into darkness.

I am sorry for the cliff hanger - I know this is a doozy. I hope this provided some excitement and I will try to update this soon. Lily has her work cut out for her - she has to figure out a way to end this vendetta - it has cost her so much already. I would love your thoughts about this story. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and review.
